18 Holes Trying To Convince Myself I Still Like Disc Golf...

welcome back to Bonanza disc golf and to another episode where we just kind of play with my own bag we're actually going to be playing 18 holes because I'm going to try to stop doing nine holes as much on the channel if it's like an 18 hole challenge or something I've actually paired down my bag even more so this is like the least amount of discs that I've gone on to play with in a while it's 13 regular discs plus a glitch I think which I don't think I'll actually throw but it's more to warm up two putting Putters don't have Graces and I added a destroyer all right so it looks like hole one is 350 to the yellow just straight ahead of us there doesn't really look like there's a crazy hyzer line or it's pretty tight so the Annie line is going to be it or easy forehand but no forehand right now I'm thinking Essence Maybe just on any line let it Glide over oh that's too Flippy my elbow is feeling better I just don't have to chance it you know my trainer was saying that I could like start to take some more forehands and like just work them in see how they are maybe one or two drives but I'm gonna just wait until I get to Denver and get settled into a little more of a workout routine not gonna be the easiest but I might chip some stuff up but anything over 250 feet not really thinking about not the best way to start with that Essence but we'll have a chip in hopefully hopefully just a really easy par I do very much miss having a solid forehand though James Conrad Isaac Robinson you guys are crazy just sit down oh it's a little deep I gotta be honest with you guys as well play we'll chat but oh 528 foot part four coming up I just have not been confident in my game these past few weeks and I think I'm expecting too much of myself because honestly like my training has had to be relatively sporadic and it's hard because I've been seeing improvements like I'm like oh this is getting better I know what to do here now but I haven't had the time to put into it but in my head I'm like if I understand a concept and have done it a couple times I should be perfect at it by now which is such a dumb way to live but honestly like I'm very much in the headspace of I am not confident about even playing a Pro Tour event this year if I can get into it and I know I'm giving myself another two and a half months of an off season effectively two months because we're gonna need to look for apartments and stuff but I just want to share realistically where I'm at on the journey like I don't want this to just be like like I know it's really hard to get on tour and even like cash at a silver series event and that's not something I take for granted I know that I I believe I can do it I just don't know if it's this year and I'm going to be dedicating so much of my life towards it but right now I'm just I'm just not feeling it too much and I think lying about that wouldn't do any good for me or for you just for the sake of the channel and there was a quote that I saw that like with my practice especially because I have been practicing a decent bit of putting especially honestly inline putting I think I'm going to be putting in line this season because I'm able to get close to about 45 50 feet with the same stance just extending the power and it's a little bit spinnier and so practicing all those putts that makes me confident and there was a quote that I put in my last video as well or one of my last videos that a pro athlete was asked if he's always confident he's like no I'm trying to build competence not confidence and I really like that so I think we're gonna go Destroyer here because we need to push up honestly it looks like we might want to push straighter instead of dumping so I could go Enigma but I honestly think I'm Gonna Go My birdie disc golf supply strike foreign yeah fell over my bracelet a little bit that shot was really good though honestly we are gonna have to chip up that pig on the forehand and just trust my follow through because that's like the only shot there's really no backhand here another 25 footer all right no worries no worries sucks I can make that but whenever like a tournament's about to come out I always like to watch old coverage so last night I kind of went to sleep to Gomez coverage of 2022 first round Las Vegas challenge where Nate Sexton was actually on the card and he was commentating and he like air balled or doing like a 15 20 footer and like his attitude about it after the round maybe it was different during the round but it was just so like oh that's chill it is what it is I was like I need to have that attitude more not like getting pissed in myself because I know I can do better but that's just that's a way harder thing uh to say than to do but that would have been a good three some 371 foot par three there's a Red Basket you might be able to see all the way through there I think it's actually down a little more from the Red Basket so 370 feet it's either the essence or the Enigma I think because Enigma is a little flippier than the Destroyer that I have but I think the essence actually if I just throw it on a little hyzer it should stand up and turn a little it doesn't like to turn over fast turn see that's what I mean it just gets the flat does not turn I maybe need to beat it in more but that's going to be a hard hard up and down I don't really know of any other reason why this would be here so we're just going to play it as OB viously throw it in since we can take our light back from the OB however far we want we're gonna actually straight back from here go all the way back that'll give us a much better angle to skip something like the ursus around the corner there big skip going keep skipping oh that was really really wide easy putts all right plus two Pros take double bogeys and they fight back from them especially early on just was hard that that was OB I didn't even realize it I feel a lot more confident getting up and down for par than I do for bogey honestly I don't know why it's kind of dumb but we'll take a five there I kind of need to practice this while fighting back from a bad spot I gotta keep I gotta stop thinking about this as a practice round this is a fun round I want to score good and I'm only trying to beat par not the end of the world all right we got our basket right through there and our t-pad right back here or you could just throw the outside Gap and pure that line all right this shot is pretty sweet it's 270 feet just straight ahead of you I think it's just a kind of a hex shot oh that's so pretty I love it ah not if you throw it like terribly that's all right don't really have a line it's a butt unless it's in the water dude let's go that's so lucky this is a terrible stance see if I can flip it at all whatever all right this one's for sure gonna be hard to see the basket is all the way up there t-pad's back here 371 feet slightly uphill yeah I think it's gonna be a pharaoh shot leave it out there let it do the work back oh my so flippy why so Flippy I thought I put just enough Pfizer on that way too little so I was four holes ahead of this group and there's a group of three and I was looking for my disc for the whole time and then one of them found it like 50 feet farther than I thought I was it's all right it's still fun to be out here this is only a whole six though I might skip to 10 and then play seven eight nine at the end but if I do that and lose a disc it's gone forever all right we'll pig out let's go really good I think we'd be through like 15 holes if I didn't lose that disk actually Seven's along Par Four Eight is a short Par Four nine is a short part three so we're actually gonna be at hole ten and then luckily we're right by the parking lot so I'll play 10 through 18 and then run back through seven eight nine that way we're really not in each other's ways because they're a group of three and I would play way faster than them if I wasn't looking for my first tournament this cover all right well ten yeah that's a great shot all right that's exactly what I wanted I felt really good to execute that shot until walking down the Fairway there's actually another basket I didn't think there was I should have expected because everyone has had two baskets so far but finish oh deep wow foreign 330 340 feet down you can see the Red Basket the yellow I think is into the left that's what everything says udisk and the T sign but I can't see it I think we're gonna go Destroyer instead of goats I'd have to turn the goat over a little too much and I still want some skip but I don't think I need a crazy amount so a little Annie on the Destroyer should be pretty solid might be a little long might be a lot longer or just hit something oh it hit too much a little too high so it's much it's much more left I thought it was behind and left it's not it's just left I don't even know if I have a puff in here dang it they hit this Twigs in my backswing oh I just went from a very easy hyzer to a bogey I do not want to release this video plenty of holes to fight back from it but I know I'm so much better than this but when my mind is focused on a billion different things and moving across the country not quite ideal for the best disc golf of my life all right hole 12 540 foot Par Four you can see the red basket-ish I think the yellow is just behind it by 100 feet I'm thinking we'll go Enigma because it'll get a little more flip up and the wind is pushing us this way so be a little less stable than the Destroyer but I think I might just go all destroyers this year we'll see oh way too much of the flight plate exposed sit down oh my gosh I'm almost in the other Fairway I think this video is great bait for the people who not bait I guess it's like proof I guess for now of like people who think that it's impossible to make it to the Pro Tour or whatever for me I'm like just a long-term Vision you know it doesn't even have to be this year and I don't think it will be it might that'd be great it's like cash in an event because that's really my main goal it's not like to make it on tour full time we'll see what the goal is after I cash in an event but yeah that's what it is all right it's not the Gap but get through a gap oh that's not great it was a little right of the Gap that I wanted but oh extend honestly that's fine that didn't even deserve a birdie with how bad that was this is a whole 13 that I would definitely like skip ahead and like look at if we were doing like a challenge for a video or something it looks like it's just up this Gap and then to the right which I think is a pretty good shot for the Pharaoh if I want to try to bite off all of it and potentially Eagle it just put a little more hyzer than I think let it stand up there is a Tailwind we should be able to get some distance just miss these trees keep it a little low and driven this will be exciting this could be a really big shot yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah let's go okay didn't hit anything and it's pine straw so I could have slid up pretty good oh my shot was freaking crushed though freaking crushed my dude I threw it exactly like I wanted to and I was I really focused on keeping my head down and not lifting it up really yeah not even really a look basket is straight through there oh no it's got to be a forehand to do that should I chip forehanded I could skip the pig or I can do a little flips of Daisy with the Pharaoh then you get another Pharaoh that's not my first tournament disc and then a little forehand I think I can do that Envy glitch or P1 I think P1 is my guy I love this desk going basket oh just for posterity we'll throw the glitch in for the birdie oh that felt really good that felt real clean back to two over with the birdie no worries plenty of holes next one looks like 340 foot par three let's go up and then into the right yes oh that's perfect oh that's exactly what I wanted that fight to look like you know I'm unconfident when I flip it so I'm not going to flip it on purpose oh my gosh it was a little left side what can I say it was a little left side all right 354 Utica sand back there to the basket so I think we could go Essence again just gotta leave a little higher we could go strike on some turn I really haven't been throwing my strike much I think it's because this is a newer one but I haven't really beat in as much and I really trusted my slightly beaten one when I put this in so I could have another one of those for when the season comes around if I do end up bagging them we do have a right to or left to right so I think we're going to go with the strike oh oh you can actually kind of go over everything I didn't even see that route that's not the end of the world honestly I kind of wonder what the the essence where's my Destroyer I got her if you could just kind of go up and over everything or around everything that's my line yeah definitely could have just done a big hyzer kind of like the P1 it's just a little too light oh also not that I would make this putt today but this Enigma right here is like 15 feet see I'm gonna make it all right 16 290 straight ahead of us thinking this is the perfect shot for the hex but I've honestly not been really confident with my hex recently I might want to put emac truce back in the bag because I really throw those through those well last year I actually got it in Colorado in Denver so might have to bring that back out but I'm not sure if I'm gonna bag the hex kids are in the next boy hit the tree and kick back dang dang Ding Dang really this is where I'm really liking I'm like 50 feet ish 45 ish I really just like this standstill staggered stance I told you that's what I'm trying to work on just like it's just so confident I'd be really happy about fighting back from three over after fighting back from two over a couple times and then just feel really good sometimes that feels better than just shooting a really hot round because you got to go through some stuff to feel good about it oh I left the goal of it early oh I kicked off of this and went straight left I don't even know if there's actually an out at all oh no honestly kind of just a chip out honestly what we could do is try to lay down a forehand roller with the P1 again Now flip hit and flip I have no idea where that went that could have been good probably hit something before it actually got to the Fairway though oh it did roll let's go yes oh that was such a good idea no it's right four more holes plus two again I I really like challenging myself all right hole 18 not the last hole three more to go looks like we got straight ahead of us the red left is inside of it it says 380. that makes sense I'm thinking Destroyer because we got a headwind get a forward skip down that's all right ah nice and short so much work to do on the distance that's okay distance and accuracy don't go together until after you get the distance all right back here at seven oh it is getting hot out 734 foot position I think big Pharaoh Annie foreign ER actually that's gonna be great roller no it's not gonna flip counter flipped oh I always fit to I always forget about the wind going around something because there's more headwind here honestly really not a bad shot though there's kind of a hole that they could have slipped through or meter off the fence kind of went a little far not crazy not good but 3.95 should be goodable I think we go Enigma a little headwind should have the perfect push that's Sonos up dude oh my gosh it's down there it's a putt but I do think one cue that kind of messes me up is I'm always thinking about throwing two a basket and I should be thinking about throwing through a basket because if you throw it to a basket and you miss 50 short then you're 50 short if you throw through a basket and you miss 50 short maybe you're only 30 short so it just opens up a lot more of the circle yeah thank you oh terrible it's a little far for that stand still honestly so we go birdie birdie we can still get under par all right so you're just saying that this is a 421 foot Par Four but it is down there and to the right so you basically just want to throw a straight shot that has a little finish and if I pump my Pharaoh out there I might be able to get close foreign great job could have left it a little higher had to play by the wind a little more all right straight through there I think chip up with the pig since it got a headwind with a forehand it's probably good we haven't thrown a lot of forehands I'm not super worried about it could also be the ursus parked it let's go got one more hole to get under par it is a hanging basket on just a pretty decent hyzer though so the main thing that's hard about this is I don't know like how much eyes are like what to put since I'm playing it blind there is a skip line or you got to get lucky through the tree so I'm kind of between goat and Firebird I think goat might be good because I can throw it the same as the firebird a little soft and it'll get even more of a violent skip because I think I might need a little more skip than the firebird can give me no no no fiber anything fibroid fiber fiber I think that is phenomenal if it skips I saw it skip no I think I needed more skip wow that was much more violently left than I thought it was and I think that same shot with the goat would have gotten a lot more left to right or right to left movement I mean it stands we still got a putt but if we miss it we bogey potentially we can make it but a little hanging basket to end it we gotta straddle oh we'll sure flip confidence and all there's the center through here's this I think we have to go from a knee ah I knew I needed to a marine aim right right side and I didn't oh man that stinks even par in the world I imagine that's honestly rated probably I mean I didn't play well I'm hoping it's 950s but it's probably 9 30s good round though I hope you guys enjoyed definitely some stuff that I took out of it and learned I'm about to actually play the same exact course with wild discs and try to be even part since that's what I got with my discs definitely could have shot better but we're learning we don't need to be shooting phenomenal to be having fun and the point of this channel is to have fun share the journey and the journey can take a while because it's about enjoying the journey not just the destination and sometimes I get too caught up in the destination but if you're interested in taking a look at kind of my plans on
