welcome back to Bonanza disc golf I'm about to start round two of a tournament here in Foley Alabama I'm tied for the lead right now shot pretty solid round ish and I put well and nothing else really seemed to be going well for me though this is a Burger Dive course though so I'm gonna need to make sure I'm throwing well so I'm gonna get a quick warm-up in we'll get on the whole one hopefully we can take down another tournament win so unfortunately I wasn't able to warm up or practice putting because I had a half mile walk to get to my first hole unfortunately I didn't feel super confident walking up to the first floor but before we get there real quick for Black Friday week I have deals going every single day something really special dropping tomorrow but to determine today's discount percentage this is what we're gonna do today's discount percentage for the discount code subscriber we've been apart from 20 feet I have to make 100 pots but for every putt that I miss on the way it's gonna be one percentage of a discount I barely made that hundredth and we've missed one more so 14 off at answerdiscoff.com today only on the whole one our whole one is actually hole number nine it's a 206 foot part three and this whole course basically should be part threes there is one par four but as you're seeing here these clips are kind of cutting weirdly because my GoPro said I had 20 left all right move my function the first two shots but 15 footer to a birdie I don't know so it got off there again but it seemed like I was out of battery even though it said it had more but I got a birdie on the first hole moving on to 278 foot hole but I wasn't even checking the distances which proved to be very bad because I throw my ESP Zone here feels like a really good shot but it winds up just inside the circle with a 30 foot putt but I was 100 inside the circle in my first round so it shouldn't be an issue at all just low and this as you can see I'm not fully extending my hand my timing was a little bit weird it kind of like looks like I was a little jittery on that putt really not happy with that because I wanted to have a full tournament 100 inside the circle and you can't really give up birdies here so we're moving on the whole 11 260 feet even though it's slightly shorter I'm throwing an emac truth discing up a little bit to hit the Gap and have a Dependable fade my badantha disc golf imagery actually so puts myself inside the circle don't miss another putt honestly lifts out of my hand because the wind is coming from behind me almost goes too high the hole number 12 is 282 Feet Again emac truth ended up just keeping that a little bit too inside since the wind is pushing from the right to the left and once the flight plate gets caught by the wind it's just gonna go so I got about a 45-footer not feeling super confident about anything just really wanting to say that I need to play my game try not to miss any more of these birdie opportunities put myself inside the circle but I'm really not confident at this putt looking at about 45 feet uphill into a headwind foreign that's one of the best feeling putts all day even including the 120 footer from last round but we've got a whole 13 230 feet I threw my razor claw and try to keep it super low but the win once it starts to show any highs or angle just really takes it but shouldn't be an issue because so far I've been inside the circle on everything except for that one Circle to make so another 20 footer 25-ish shouldn't be too big of an issue leave it just low though and I think a part of it is I'm really not confident putting on these baskets and I'm not really committing especially into the wind that's what I'm talking about here I'm just really not committing to anything not feeling confident about it and here I'm losing a couple Strokes because I was tied for the lead going into this I already missed two holes can't miss anymore exactly can't really miss any more holes so we move on to hold number 14 250 foot I throw my pyro actually just put it in the bag because this hole just kind of goes to the left my card might think I'm parked not quite but should essentially be parked with the way that I should putt but I just leave this one too high so over committed not really feeling my putts today for some reason and now it's three inside the circle misses so far already on the first six holes but if I keep putting like this there's no chance I win because this is just this is atrocious right now three inside the circle misses already and I didn't have a single one last one it was a little windy but I just feel nervous for some reason I think lead card I never play wall stick around to these tournaments in the same day so let's make sure that we pick it up I know I can do this so if you haven't watched the last video you know but I've never won a tournament that is two rounds in the same day full 15 years 285 there's a straight Gap and then that's just that hyzer Gap that I try to power down on my Fairway driver Thunderbird s throw it just inside the circle really here focusing on doing Shadow swings something I hadn't done yet and since I couldn't practice on these baskets I didn't have time I focused on really visualizing this putt foreign ly committed to one made it kind of almost one has been out left side because these stupid baskets but we're moving on to Hole number 16 213 feet I want to throw an anhyzer slight Flex with my ESP Zone end up not quite committing to the anhyzer angle that's something I really need to work through this off season but I Leave Myself another what 20 foot putt as you can see we're right on Edge's Circle where the camera is and I got maybe 20 22 feet missed the putt left side Brewing the star frame for my card and that's four inside the circle misses already through the first eight holes hole 17 is 192 feet but there's really not much of a fairway so I'm trying to forehand my ESP Zone be great pretty solid release but just a little bit too flat I really need to throw that a little more hyzer just to try to get through the Gap so I'm just pitching through with my ESP Zone again on anhyzer Flex angle so it'll flatten out towards the ground I'm gonna start making everything I have to I absolutely sometimes you go on the bus I need to accept that so that I don't put the pressure on this that's a good mentality to have but that's one of the reasons I really don't like these birdier die courses for tournament rounds because if you don't birdie especially playing them blind and not knowing exactly what shot to throw you're kind of out of it but I'm throwing my ESP Zone again pretty Spike hyzer angle on an island hole that I needed to hit and sit Spike all right that's fine luckily it did 317 feet but it really doesn't feel like it because it's downhill finally able to connect for another birdie and I essentially need to just birdie everything here hole one is 299 feet and I'm going between a Rive and a Thunderbird here I don't know why I keep trying to trust this Thunderbird during these rounds today I'm gonna go ahead and throw this on a forehand and if you watch my collaboration with overthrow disc golf where I did a coaching session my Miss is nose up and I should have known that and powered up to arrive and kept it out a little bit wider so I put on my ESP Zone pick up my mini in my disc because I know it's a solid shot but this leaves me with the interesting lie behind the tree because the wind is coming towards my right shoulder as a headwind so as you can see I'm looking at it there and I notice that if I was to put from that first stance the wind was going to lift up my Putt and take it to the left so I decided to go to the left of that tree straddle in a stance that I'm not as comfortable with but focus on throwing an anhyzer putt to make sure that I save that part now this round is going by so much faster than the other round so we're already on hole two meaning we only have about seven holes left it's 257 feet Par 3 and I throw my zone and just yank it to the right that's really been my Miss today I've been throwing a lot of things very right but it leaves me with about a 50 footer which I've been confident in today just nothing on these baskets feels like it wants to drop though I'm really not confident whenever I step up to him but that brings us with another part on the whole three 225 feet I decided to go with a forehand pyro end up just not putting it on enough hyzer and this is the problem with playing even these shorter courses blind I feel like I have 17 options on every hole to get to the basket because everything's under 300 feet and I always feel like I'm making the wrong decision and just having that one practice round to try to dial everything will be so helpful try to run that ish but end up just kind of pitching up hitting the tree oh man I'm really disappointed it's hard to play I'm blind I'm kind of tired of playing everything blind I need to practice rounds definitely true it moves us into the two longest holes of the day before 360 feet I throw a ride should be a really stock shot even with the Fairway driver but I just got to arrive because of the win but just throw it on way too much hyzer and honestly don't commit to that throw and throwing it hard which leaves me with like 60 feet it hasn't really been happening these last couple tournaments as much maybe one round but sometimes you just don't know how to play disc golf I have people chasing me down for third gotta at least stay top three wow I don't know I don't know why I thought I could throw that on so much higher I should have just thrown it flat next one's the evil hole gotta make a big putt here there's a lot I need to do but at this point I'm just trying to stay on the podium and jump around because I'm far back from the lead so that's probably not happening at this point I would essentially need to be perfect to finish the round with any opportunity to even take some Strokes because this course doesn't really give up many so we got this big putt from about 60 feet after throwing a distance driver and a three to six people hold that is so bad out of my hand I knew it was a great line just a little bit High especially into a slight headwind luckily was able to clean up for the par and we're still bogey free which is good but this is the eagle hole 422 foot downhill Par Four take my newer Grace you could probably hear my voice I'm so disappointed in myself I just turned that over too much didn't give it the height I honestly throw my inner core almost threw it in just trying to have a solid little layup able to take the birdie which feels like the par doesn't take Strokes on anybody unless you get the eagle there moving us into hole number six 263 this is one where I had a billion choices to go straight down this Gap and I end up throwing my opto pure see that's what I'd like to do oh terrible kick turns a little bit too much hits a tree and kicks 40 feet backwards never a chance just nothing's dropping the height was good the line was bad another part on to Hole number seven 289 par three this one there's not really a super direct Fairway or line to get there so I'm trying to decide between again 15 different options without having thrown it before I'm trying to figure out what the best one is and as you've seen my decision making hasn't been the absolute best so I decided to take my fuse and try this turnover line honestly with the way I'm throwing this anhyzer I should probably throw a more stable disc that's gonna Flex out of it either way though smack a tree sits down about 80 feet behind the basket and I have to try to run this I mean I have to try to run everything because at this point I'm still trying to contend for third place because other people are having much better rounds oh yeah that's good able to pitch up for the three and we're on to the last hole hole number eight 222 feet pretty simple forehand line right before me just shout out Roman chained out of the ace I'm throwing my razor claw three go in no end I'm gonna finally get another birdie let's go pretty solid shot finally figured out how to throw a disc again got another birdie to end seven down for the round which is not good on a pitch and Putt course this whole tournament was a little bit of a disappointment honestly just like couldn't get anything going I wasn't hitting capsules hitting my lines wasn't throwing my drives anything really super well and I missed four inside the circle pot which would have put me tied for the lead just makes me realize I don't really want to play Blind tournaments anymore so definitely get some practice rounds in because I know that I could have I 100 could play better all right first interjection he ended up birding that last hole which I knew was gonna happen like this course is so getable it's only shoot down seven is so bad but so fourth place first finish off the podium and then my one man my bad play is getting better like this tournament I felt like I played awful but I think I'm still probably average about my rating so it looks like my round rating is going to hover around like 967 968 if it updates I'll put it right there for you but I think that makes my average for the tournament 970 which ah man for wanting to be thousand rated and feeling like that's possible on both these courses for me pretty pretty just taking positives I mean it's about my reading so that'll help I shot two solid rounds neither were good both were solid though definitely things to clean up if I want to play at the next level but there'll be more tournaments and I hope all your practice rounds so that I can be more confident I appreciate you subscribe to the video watch the first round right down here pretty cool very different style of course and I need to practice putting on these baskets because I he probably got these baskets I'm not as confident when I step up to them as other ones so I think practicing on them will definitely help because I'm gonna play more tournaments on these baskets
