welcome back to videos of disc golf today we have a long-awaited video which is going to be my in the bag for this season but first we need to talk a little bit about the philosophy of my bag because as most of you guys know I'm not sponsored so that means I have an open bag so I can basically throw whatever I want now that reality comes with some really good things meaning that I have just every single disc ever made that I can choose from as long as it's PDGA approved but it also means that it's very easy for me to want to switch things out of my bag and you'll notice a lot of open bag players even players who are on the tour tend to switch up their bag from time to time during the season even so I'm really wanted to make sure that I don't do that this year and because of that I'm going to treat this bag like a sponsored bag I'm not sponsored by anybody at all like I have some video sponsors sometimes that you see on the channel but I have no obligations even with my bags and we'll talk a little bit about what bags I'm using this year in this video but most of that will be next Monday I'm gonna have full breakdowns of the bags that I'll be using from two different companies both of which I have affiliate links down in the description if you wanted to pick some up one is on pre-sale one just went live but as you guys have seen throughout the last four or five months of an off season I have been basically reviewing so many discs but I never really had a solid bag throughout this off season because I wanted to try out a bunch of different things to figure out exactly what I wanted I obviously haven't tried every disc ever made but there are a lot of discs that I've tried that has come down to what this bag means to me and all these molds are going to be final for the season those specific discs and Plastics might change throughout the season but I want to treat this bag like I am sponsored by this specific set of molds meaning that nothing is going to be added to the bag throughout the season even though some things might go out as different things get beat in different points of wear but let's start out with the putters and of course the one speed I am going to be bagging a glitch I just love the way that the disc flies I don't know how much I'll be using it probably to warm up a decent bit as well as just some touch approach shots or when I want to give soft bits to the basket once it gets a little bit windier it can hold up in the wind but I don't trust it as much because of how light it is it'll get taken a little bit more so I have to have a little bit more precision and touch so that's why I probably won't be throwing this too much in the wind which brings us to our next couple Putters which are the latitude 64 pure for both throwing and putting now you guys have actually seen these Piers as my putting Putters for the whole off season basically since I got these misprints and they're getting a little bit too beaten because I use them so much so I like the feel of a fresh set of Putters and so I actually have these purple with green stamp Putters that I'm going to be throwing this season or that I'm going to be putting with this season as well as throwing probably zero medium Piers these are both zero medium once it gets really warm or once I'm at tournaments where it's like closer to 75 80 degrees I'll probably putt with the Retro Piers because these will get a little too gummy especially if they're a little bit beat in just all putting fear or throwing fear for my kind of hyzer flip to flat or consistently panning Potter shot the next set of Putters I still haven't figured out which Plastics I want this year and those are going to be envies so all of my one two and three speed discs are just going to be glitches piers and envies and I think right now it's actually going to be this cell died Envy shout out Greg one of my patrons it's the eclipse Envy so the glow one and it's a little bit flatter and not crazy crazy overstable because my recent run of fission envies as well as Pro prism plasma envies which I think there's like two left of these there's plenty left of these if you want to pick some of them up but these ones are pretty stable and so up here at Denver elevation they're really good this but I feel like they coincide with my next slot that we're going to talk about I'm probably going to keep rotating these and I have a field work bag of a bunch of backups of every single one of these molds that I'm going to be testing out trying to have backups that I also really trust in case I lose something don't plan on it obviously but for now I think the bag is going to have this Envy but I'm going to continue throwing these as second shots just to get them maybe slip beat in or just learn them a little bit more as I get my Annie game back but on top of that I have an electron soft Envy which I don't know if this is actually going to take the place or be the similar spot as this premium pure big shout out to Nathaniel who I did a battle with him and Jack way back when when I was in Indiana Illinois Illinois but this is beaten octopure which is an old Jasper Landmark run which is super cool pretty much hyzer flip up and then we'll continue to turn but I don't know if this envy and this have any overlap so they're both in the bag for now one of them might leave but I really like this electron soft Envy because it feels similar to my peers the hand feel is very similar to Piers so I'm going to be putting with envies when it gets a little bit windier as well so I have some of these to practice putt as well because they feel very very similar and I know that they hold up slightly better in the wind I do practice with my peers and now that I have these newer ones I feel a little bit safer putting with them into the wind just because they're not as beat in as those ones that I've used for months are but electron soft Envy for throwing as well as putting all right next up we're going to get into mids as well as some approach discs and what I'm going to be going going with are pretty obviously I wanted to maybe find something that was different but you cannot beat how many Plastics these zones come in so I have this new get freaky here which is pretty flat very overstable feels very very good in the hand as well as a photon Zone that I also got from a patron it's very similar to putter plastic Zone because you can't really find Photon zones anymore definitely less stable it kind of is in between between an Envy as well as a Zone very similar stabilities but I probably will put this one on forehand a little bit more and honestly the crystal Flex doesn't get as much skip so I don't know if this is a little bit Superfluous to have both of these but for now I have them both as well as something that I think might get me like one stroke a tournament which is the zono S I don't know if I'll be throwing this a lot I have this Brody ESP one I might actually want to put a Z1 in the bag because this craft sent me out a bunch of them big shout out to them but this Brody ESP Tour series zone OS I think I'll use for like one or two shots of tournament but it's gonna be the only disc that can get that done and so I think I'm Gonna Keep it in the bag I don't know how much I'll take it out and maybe it leaves the bag but I want to have this slot in there in the molds that I'm working with during field work getting better with just in case I will end up needing it especially once we get down closer to sea level it might not be as crazy crazy overstable and non-glody but I've noticed that up here at elevation things aren't as ridiculous as a lot of people say you just got to put a little bit more spin on it things still go pretty much as far maybe 115 feet less and it's just mostly that there's a lack of Glide what does this have but that also brings me to a point before we get to Mid Fairways and drivers about another thing that I need to think about when building my bag because I'm building a bag in Denver Colorado as you guys might know is the mile high city and honestly this is something that I'm glad Joel Friedman had made some videos about because his bag he like makes his big chart or whatever but he has the same bag for elevation as well as for sea level and I'm planning on doing that as well so everything that you see here the Plastics might change a little bit but I have discs that'll cover a very big range of stabilities but I wanted to make sure I have the same bag for both places I just might change out some discs but maybe not even change out the disc maybe just throw different discs like when I get down to sea level instead of throwing the Zone like my over stable Zone maybe I'm throwing a Zone OS on some of those shots instead of throwing my Jasper Landmark pure maybe I'm throwing my beaten Envy or even a premium Envy I'm not exactly sure what that's going to look like but I've made sure that I was very intentional on thinking through this bag that I would have this that would cover the range of stabilities here at Denver as well as down at sea level so the mid-range slot right now is way less this than you've already seen here I only have three mid-ranges for now as some of them beat it I might add in some others to change the stability slots but I feel mid-ranges are so forgiving when you spin them correctly that I'm able to manipulate them on a bunch of angles that I feel like right now I only need three whereas some other ones I want different stabilities because they move more left and right whereas these I can make move more left and right if I need to so in my flipping one I am going with the discmania origin you guys probably saw fuses last year I was trying out a bunch of stuff throughout this off season but the first throw that I had with this origin went like 370 feet and it's exactly the flight that I want where it'll flip up to flat and ride but it will come back just depends on the nose angle that you give it and that's one of things that I've really started to work on a lot is getting good at nose angle control because if you're good at nose angle control and you can throw mids and Putters far you can throw drivers anywhere so origen I think is a really good one I have a midnight prowl one that I was given by a buddy Matt that I might interchange in the bag it seems to be slightly more stable than this Neo origin but this die is just so cool that it's definitely going in the bag as well as a Pathfinder now this Pathfinder is just the aura Pathfinder if you guys saw my videos about remix discs you guys know I actually have a torpedo which is just a like 12 disc on Amazon that is in my fieldwork bag for this because it's the same as like a Mustang which is the same as this which is the same as some other discs that are going to be coming out from other companies but the ore Pathfinder I really like because I love this stamp I like this plastic which is Neutron plastic from MVP and this one is just dead straight with some fade at it and so I can get slight Flex lines at it I don't want to flex it too much if I hit it really hard I can flip it up to flat but it's not really going to go past flat but it's going to beat in really nice to be a compliment to the origin where it has a lot more finish and it's more reliable to trust the flip up flat ride it and not really turn much and then come back but I'm gonna have to beat them into that point and so that's where maybe I'll add a second Pathfinder into the bag later but I'm really liking the Pathfinder this year it just feels so comfortable in my hand and that was something really important with all these discs is like if you have small hands these discs are all baby hands approved that we're going to be talking about maybe one of the drivers isn't but I find it still super comfortable for the speed that it is but I wanted to make sure that they all felt small in my hands or like felt comfortable because there's so many of this that do the exact same thing that I'm wanting to make sure that I'm not forcing something to be in my bag when I can find something that feels really good to me in the hand that I fell in love with the hand feel that I also like the flight this next one is the only slight exception to that and that is the birdie disc golf supply Ultra now you guys might have noticed in a couple recent battle videos I was throwing the quake as my overstable mid-range which has the same numbers 5303 it was the another round Austin tournamquake I'm actually going to be doing a video reviewing this versus that disc because there's one very specific thing about that disc that I loved every part of it the hand feels even slightly better than the ultra but there's one thing about that disc that I just could not trust it as much as I can trust the ultra so once I got these in hand I actually reached out to birdie I was like hey this one this is the issue that I'm having over with the Quake I want to make sure that I get that remedy do you think that this will fix it I asked Broderick who you guys have seen him we got some beef going on but he said that he loves these because they hold up a little bit better and so I got them the edge is a little bit blunter and that's the only difference is it feels slightly less comfortable on a forehand but I think as this Edge rounds down by getting where it'll be really good because this is a very beefy mid-range but I mean I could still push it a lot farther than a Zone and trust it a little bit more on just a really really chopped over forehand so Ultra is also in the bag and that basically is all my mid-ranges and one thing that you're going to notice as we finish the bag is that there are only two molds from any manufacturer in my bag and I was very intentional with that because I do have an open bag and I know that this platform is pretty big and I've heard from people here that have said in this community that they've built bags based on a lot of what I throw and so I want to make sure first of all that I'm not giving unnecessary advertising to companies who aren't paying me for the advertising but also showing that if you spend the time which I know not everybody has but if you take time to be able to feel this and throw discs you can find so many discs from so many companies that fly the same figure out what feels good for you and whether that's one manufacturer I don't personally care if you want to throw all one manufacturer brand loyalty is real throw whatever you want I just want this to be a testament that you can build a bag that is very well rounded with molds from tons of different companies without having like way too many molds but we're not going to get into mold minimalism here also I know I'm gonna get the comments this is actually not level you guys are Level so the Horizon if you look back there is level it's just kind of annoying that this is it next we have Fairway drivers and this is where you can think about seven and eight speed Fairway drivers some people include six I would say the Crave is more of a seven speed so like that kind of seven eight speed Fairway and then nine and ten speed Fairway seven to eight I think of more as just Fairway drivers nine and ten I think of more as control drivers so in my Fairway drivers I only have two discs which are the birdie disc golf supply strike and a color glow strike so these ones I think just came out but they are very good Much More eagle-like Much More votum-like whereas these strikes are much more cheaper like I should wet the stamp on this one just because I like the clean look and I might uh commission a die on it that's a little special that like means something to me so whenever I take this out because this is my kind of hit flat maybe we'll turn or hit on hyzer will flip up and finish I have another strike that's actually like a hyzer flip strike that I beat in for a while was the first one that I ever got if you guys watch those videos but I'm wanting this one to get to that point as well and I don't need something that's quite that flip up right now I do prefer to release on a slight hyzer but I'm trying to relearn anhyzers a little bit so this one really holds up into the wind I'm very surprised by the stability and how far these go these strikes sometimes go so close to as far as my distance driver is like pushing into the 390 sometimes the 400s if I get them hit really well and so these are my like very true Fairway drivers where I'm going to be throwing these I can throw them on some hyzers but I'll probably move up to a nine speed if I want to do like a spike Kaiser but these are just going to be that laser beam disc which will either have a little bit of finish or finish flat in this case and now on to nine speeds here I have three different molds actually so right here I have just a Champion Firebird now these Champion Firebirds have a slight Dome to them they're definitely Firebirds super blunt do not want to go super far but they're a little bit more workable than your super overstable faf flat top Firebirds these ones I will definitely put on an angle it will glide on the angle and then come out of it which is why I also have this is like my beef pocket which is where you saw me pull the zonoesterum right over here on the side this Firebird which is the new Nate Sexton Tour series 2023 one with kind of the April Fool stamp on it this one is a little more stable than this one and it does it it's a little bit more uh violent in its movements I'd say like it comes back in digs and so this one comes back Glides in Skips a little bit more so both of these are in the bag for now I might replace this one with something that's even more overstable if I find that Firebird eventually but I'm not necessarily out there looking for it because I don't feel like it's something that I need right now so we have the Firebirds here and then in new disc I was very excited to have because you guys know who watched last year I love latitude 64. they are the channel on YouTube Jonathan who got me into disc golf and so I really wanted to make sure that I had a couple latitude discs in the bag just because I'm kind of allowed to Simply like some people are Innova sense but I didn't want to force anything obviously and so I have the piers and then I had been looking for a control driver which is that 9 or 10 speed disc that gets a lot more pushed than a Firebird because that domey Firebird a slight domey Firebird I was like man maybe this is just a control driver but it just doesn't want to go very far because of how blunt it is and how it has some dome but not a lot but it's just so blunt that those no Firebird is really going to go super super far for you compared to this that has a little bit more Glide and so I was trying out the dynasty I was trying out the coalesce from thought space and nothing was like peaking my interest and I'm also gonna have a video about all of my control driver Pursuits but I set on the latitude 64 honor which just recently came out it's in the Royal plastic which is one of my favorite Plastics and one of the reasons I like it too is it's very durable but it beats in relatively quickly to a specific point and then stays there for a while so I have a couple honors uh the Tristan Tanner Honors that are coming out I'm going to pick some of those up as well just to support him because now I'm a Colorado boy he's a Colorado boy but these honors are such good discs and I cannot wait to shoot that video and show it to you guys because they definitely go a lot farther like I was pushing close to 400 when I get a really good rip on it but I like it because it is overstable so I can chop on it on a forehand a little bit as long as I don't like really burn it into the ground I can throw it on Flex lines and it's going to glide on that line similar to The Firebird but just about 50 feet farther but I can also hit it hard and flat and it'll go go and then have some finish I'd say 9502.5 is very accurate so the numbers here so I'm really excited to have the honor in the bag really good discs and I really wanted something from this Royal line but was not staying with Grace's arise as we'll see now actually in a second because next we have to talk about the heat which if you guys saw my recent Heat versus Insanity video You're already know I'm pretty sure right now it's going to be the big Z Heat and the ESP squirrel so the ones that were in my bag before that video and I tested everything out because ESP swirl is very flippy this is my disc that up here I'm throwing it for hyzer flip big turn S lines that'll come out if I put enough touch and hyzer on it otherwise it's my roller disc and I'm putting it down and it's going to roll and I really like rolling a nine speed because it is a little more control buzzer roller it's not as violent to the left or the right but it gets similar distance so and mostly because I'm not great at rollers on top of that though we have this big Z heat which right now is more similar to what I think a beat in honor will be but this probably has a touch more term I actually have a couple Crystal Sparkle ledgestone Edition Heats because I reviewed those in Florida and they were actually more stable than this guy is up here down at Florida so I think that that'll be that flip up one so I'll probably just keep that one as well as this esp1 in there because it did also turn if I hit it hard and flat so right now it's the big Z and the ESP swirl and that is all my Fairways mids and Putters onto the distance boys the distance drivers that I'll be throwing this here from the flippiest on up are going to I actually just take them out and show you in terms of stability because this is kind of the order of stability with one question mark I have a very flippy 167 gram Ferro in here this is the only list that might be less baby hands approved because it is a 13 speed and it feels a little bit faster than a destroyer but it's a smaller feeling 13 speed these things just go so far my first tournament disc I ever got was this color so when I was able to find some with this color in this color stamp I knew that I probably had to bag it and it was 167 gram and it's just like such a bomber it's gonna feed in to be probably a decent like Flippy roller as well as even more of a bomber but I love this I blend Ferro here and the next disc is actually the question mark because I have this really s blend Ferro and I really like this disc but I just reviewed this Echo Star Destroyer which is the Jessica Wiese 171 Echo Destroyer which seems to be just about as flippy as this but it feels a little smaller in the hand it might even go farther so these are the only ones that I'm not 100 sure maybe they both make the bag maybe only one of them makes the bag I'm not exactly sure which one it'll be but it's going to be pharaohs and destroy as my only distance drivers this year because the Destroyers you can have such a big range of stabilities because we have that I have another purple Echo starter story which is one that I can hit flat it will turn a little bit this is a little dummy or a little more pop top so it's going to stand up in the winds a little bit more it's not gonna like really get beat up or it's not gonna get pushed around nearly as much is my bomber Destroyer right now it might be this one because I feel like I could put a touch more hyzer on it and I'll have the same amount but this one I feel like even holds up a little bit more because of how much Dome it is so these Jessica Wiese Echo destroyers just bomb There's Something About This mold compared to some other Echo Star Destroyers that I felt that is really good it does have the bubble Rim but something about these just go so far moving up instability we have my Ricky Star Destroyer now if there's any wind this is going to be my disc that I go to because it can hold up into a headwind if I hit it hard on a slight hyzer or even flat it'll tournament but it will come back these Reiki two-time Destroyers I bought this one used got another one from a buddy Matt but these Ricky two times I forehand backhand they hold up they are overstable but not super beef because the next ones up are Calvin Destroyers I have this 2023 common Destroyer which is very workable also going goes very far it's a little bit gummy which I really like but it is definitely overstable it's definitely a take up from that star destroyer so if there's a lot of wind or a headwind or I want to make sure that I force something over and it comes back to the right in a wind or the same I just has a little bit more of a of an intense finish I'm going to be throwing this destroyer and then this is my utility Destroyer which I might want to get one that's a little more flat or maybe even a different mold but I don't think I really need that when I have my Firebirds and I'm more of a hyzer player anyways so I'm not really trying to force anything over so this is a little too dummy to be like your super overstable skipping one but this is this 2021 Calvin hybrid Destroyer is so overstable now the bags I have right now this is the discology icon it's and pre-release right now actually for you guys specifically there's a special 20 discount on the pre-order which I think is just for you guys so use Copa Danza if you want in the links down in the description for this but it also really helps to support me the other bags that you guys have seen which I use mostly for practice but I also think that sometimes I will use them for tournament this one just has a little bit more side storage so I'm able to like the extras that I keep in my bag towels extra socks I found was really important disc retriever some water bottles honestly probably gonna go in these sides because I'm not going to use these side pockets as much as I'm not like testing out this in a tournament as well as some Minis and other things like that and then this front pocket you can put the mini I also put like my phone and everything down in here but the other bag is a bag from renew disc golf which you guys have also seen on the channel before it's made of like 95 plus percent recycled materials it's the most sustainable bag in disc golf right now so super cool if you want to check it out and support them it's also linked down in the description and you can use my code on that as well or my link that's down there both of those all that will help to support the channel those are the bags that I'll be using for the most part I'm not sponsored by any bags so I don't have to use any of them and that might change throughout the season but I'm really been liking this icon for holding a lot of discs but it's a little heavy so sometimes if I want to just go and review some discs or take a smaller bag to go and play or dial in specific parts of my game I'm using the renew bag or other discology bags I got a lot I got too many bags honestly right now if you want a new bag and either of those Peak your interest definitely a go to link down in my description and use that otherwise this is what I'll be throwing for the year really excited my first tournament is going to be on Friday and this week is going to be a lot of getting ready for that so it's a eighth year a lot of big names coming into town Aaron Gossage and all them subscribe for those upcoming videos if you want to check out my video about either why I'm throwing destroyers over something like ballista Pro right down there or Heats versus insanities right down there but it's coming to be tournament season a little bit less disc reviews still all the cool ones that you guys want to hear about but not as many of like the kind of random ones that I've done and a lot more training getting better it's time but I hope you guys enjoyed this video watch some of those I'll see you guys in the next one okay love you guys bye
