a lot of you guys been asking for a while so today we're going to be breaking down my tour schedule for this year now before a lot of you guys ask I'm actually going to put in the comments a Google form that if you want to fill it out it'll be the only way that I am searching for caddies this year if you'd want to do that honestly my wife's going to travel with me a lot so she'll probably be on the bag for most of this year but if there are some events where she isn't feel free to fill out the events that I'll be talking about today that you'd like to CAD for and we'll see if we can make that happen it'll just basically be filming except for at dgpt events if I even get into those but luckily my tour season's going to get started in about 2 weeks need to warm up a little bit I'm working on some anheiser so we're going to be throwing anheiser in Four Hands today and working on the putt cuz if I can get those dialed in I think I have a chance to play pretty decently at my first event that first event is actually going to be the dgbt plus event wo and I'll tell you how I got into this and then my plans for some other ones here pretty soon but I'm also testing out a new disc for the bag this whole week is going to be my finalizing the Bag series so tomorrow will be putter Wars and then we'll have mids approach this in like throwing Putters Tuesday Wednesday Wednesday will'll be Fairways Thursday we'll be drivers and then we'll get back to some normal content my first in the bag will happen at wake go um so I know exactly what this I'm throwing after having done a practice round or two there with some pretty cool people but we're going to try to throw this on an anheiser in a little Safari hole that was just right that was an anheiser oh that's been a problem of mine a little short we're going to try scepter next I really noticed that I like being in this little compact position and I need to get off of that and just allow myself to throw the anheiser sometimes like there that's an anheiser look at that you can do it might be a little short not sure haven't played that hole since 303 open which was in last May we'll get to that in a second for wo I feel very lucky thanks to you guys in this channel I have a relationship with a lot of companies just for sending stuff out to me reviewing it and I was on the phone with someone talking about the events that I was trying to get into on the disc golf pro tour which they're going to be five of didn't really think I needed to throw this one very hard but here I am wrong they reminded me that Prodigy is the presenting sponsor and I have a decent relationship with Prodigy for sending me stuff out and reviewing it soon coming out is actually going to be there full approach series lineup cuz I think it's one of the best in the game and I actually have one in the bag unrelated to this but I reached out to them because I noticed that two of their event exemption spots weren't filled and I was like hey what would it take to get an exemption and so infinite said it was okay I'll be wearing infinite on my back Prodigy on my hat and Prodigy was able to get me an exemption into the tournament I know that is a massive privilege from having this audience so thank you guys for that but ultimately right now it's like get into the tournaments however you can cuz it's getting harder and harder to do it woo no drift threw it too flat got to goie lock those o there we go I'm obviously not at chess.com and I don't have a tour card I'm also only 987 rated right now I went down one point after that video that I posted about trying to shoot that 1020 rated round and bump up to 990 which would have actually been beneficial for something we'll talk about here in a second but again thankfully to you guys and the content I'll be traveling for at least five protour events this year and maybe one major depending on if I'm able to get into it we're going to play this par three and then a par four to the next basket but I'm flying into Waco by way of Austin so I'll be in Texas for 2 weeks Waco and then Austin I'm on the Monday qualifying and the weight list right now for Austin so hopefully I get in off the weight list and if not I'll try to Monday qualify I'll be there for that and then I fly back up to Colorado and Austin I honestly don't even know who the presenting sponsor is I noticed that they don't have a couple of event exemptions and so to me honestly like it's not my decision to get into these tournaments literally all I'm doing is asking and I'm grateful that at least Prodigy has said yes but in my mind like if you don't ask for something you don't get it and even if it's a long shot might as well ask because worst case they say no and that's not really that bad of a case but Austin hopefully we'll be able to get into and play if I can dial in those windy putts cuz it's going to be windy out there then we'll come back up to Colorado for two local B and C tier I believe and then they'll have a month off and I'll talk about that in a second going to try the scepter pretty overstable on a nice little forehand in a Tailwind I figured out how to throw Four Hands Again by the way I'm going to talk about this all in a banana FR video I'm probably going to film right after this I figur out how to throw Four Hands and it's literally just my back hand has become so slow and compact before I throw and I was trying to do that with my forehand and they're two different throws so I need to treat them differently my forehand seems to do better with a little bouncy kind of silid schy run up here is the anheiser figuring it out one last forehand actually I'm going to try with this F you want little short so coming back I'm going to be playing first the winter fling which is up at courses that I've never played before but I might try to get out to this week it's called Optimist up in Fort Morgan Colorado I think it's a c tier just trying to get more tournament reps in and then I'll play Avary fools the week after which is down in Colorado Springs and I think that's a b tier that is pretty well attended at some courses that I also don't think I've played before I'm going to throw one to the next position real fast woo big wind that looks perfect no wow I got so dropped in the Tailwind I've noticed I really struggle with keeping it high the Tailwind so work on that sick died Pharaoh oh rid the wind too much that is mashed though I honestly feel like my game is in a pretty good place definitely not exactly where I wanted it to be my putting last year really let me down so I'm going to try to go back to straddle putting we'll talk about this a little bit more in tomorrow's video Putter Wars but I was really good at straddle putting then I didn't really practice inline putting last year when I tried to get good at inline putting I think I have good muscle memory for straddle and since I need to score well at these tournaments I'm going to try stradle putt for a little bit but these next two weeks are really just give me so many reps on the putting green that I'll feel confident from 25 and in cuz I feel like if I make those I have a chance at making the cut I've been throwing the disc relatively well and honestly my expectations for these dgbt events that I play is relatively minimal I try to have high aspirations but I'm really there to try to learn this year I was able to cash at the Kansas city wide open last year which was a silver event so pretty weak field for a Pro Tour event and I feel like right now honestly I am so much better of a disc golfer than I was back then but this whole year I'm trying to like really build solid foundations in the fundamentals of my game and in my mental game so my expectations for this year are relatively minimal which I think might actually be beneficial towards me so that I can just try to play as best as I can and enjoy myself rather than just placing super high every tournament I do want to place high and that's honestly one of the reasons why after after won aw and I'm playing these CNB tiers almost as many as I can that are local because my goal is to get a 2025 tour card or maybe beyond my goal is just to get a tour card wow I really struggle with cross puts right now cuz honestly some advice that cor doin gave me last year before Colorado states which is an a tier that I played in and I don't think I'll be able to come back to this year it's just to win three local events and I was able to get one last November and the tournaments that I'm signing up for I'm not really caring who's in the field I just want to go and play my best and see how that Stacks up cuz I think if every part of my game is working as as best as it could be I can consistently play that 10:15 to 1035 rate of golf maybe even better and my goal this year is to get around 1010 10:15 pretty poor start with a 953 rated round but to get right up about that rating play as well as I can in the disc golf pro2 events that I can play in and really just prove to myself that I can be that higher level player cuz ultimately it really is about the self-confidence not about other people thinking that I can or can't play well this is a great little shot on this kind of par 4 oh yeah now we run it just kidding oh maybe not oh dang my second shot almost got all the way down there and just a little bit to right out of the hand look at how sweet this D is massive shout out to Circus of flight for dying it form me it looks incredible I'll talk about ratings goals and just goals for myself honestly brings me to an interesting point which is about Flex starts in those type of tournaments cuz I played one which basically was the first tournament that I made that video about and this year I think I might play a lot more it might hurt my rating more than it helps it but I think the experience especially of getting pots Under Pressure fighting at like birdi your D courses it might be worth it I'm not signed up for anything and we'll honestly see how kind of this Texas Swing goes to see whether or not I do want to sign up for anything because my rating is important to me and I've gotten some comments when I've talked about rating before that like like don't be a punk don't worry about your rating like it's not important blah blah blah and like if it wasn't important I wouldn't care about it you know like it's important in as much as that's what gets you into tournaments and for me the access to these tournaments is the most important thing to progress my disc off career so trying to get a better rating makes it so much easier to get into these tournaments CU if I'm over 1010 rated I would have had the ability to get into every single Pro Tour event so far cuz the tour card hasn't filled up those slots yet we haven't even talked about the Q Series yet which we will all that to say I think experience in not trying to finesse my rating as much as I did this past year by picking and choosing events but more so by just like being a really good tournament player and really focusing on growing that experientially uh it's kind of what I'm going to focus on this year I think it did well to get myself almost to 990 last year by trying to finesse my rating a little bit and I think now I am significantly better than what my rating suggests but that has yet to be proven in tournaments so after those two tournaments I'm actually off for about 3 or 4 weeks and then we get into the next local event before we go back out for a tour I honestly feel like I've been connecting pretty well with my discs today so I think I'm actually going to throw this premium proton Envy I don't know which Envy is going to be in my bag this year but the basket I think is like 3.99 right around 400 we got a left to right but it's pretty downhill we do have to cross but I feel like I've been connecting while and I don't want to go OB long on the sidewalk that needs to be more anheiser buddy what are you doing that's weak sauce the other disc that I really like throw in here I think is this Chariot just cuz I can put a little more Flex on it cuz it's got a little more speed and it'll get back nicely really nice shot get some quick work on some anheiser upshots here but April 28th I kind of start back up my season after about a month off where I might start to try to rework some form things I've honestly started going to Eagle McMahon's trainer um so we're going to be training with the same physical trainer guy to really work on making sure that my muscles are firing in the correct movements rather than overcompensating with other muscles and I think that'll help my form honestly maybe more than formwork will at least initially and then April we're going to try to really dial in a little bit more formwork and try to get myself to about a 500 foot golf line because I think to be completely honest with you right now I'm trying not to overblow it and I always and I've been a little surprised by this recently I think I have a 450 is foot golf line and that'll be borne out kind of when we start the season in but I'm really grateful for that and I think that that's enough to like compete on tour but not be confident enough to like go for wins or go for aggressive plays that you need to do at the pro tour level to really compete at the highest level so I still need to push that distance a little bit but I'm really grateful for how far I've gotten already April 28 though Colorado Disc Golf Hall of Fame championships another local tournament and then the next day we drive out oh wow there we go like good upshot hole got a little pressure on you right the day after the Colorado Disc Golf Hall of Fame classic championships my wife and I drive out to the best place for disolf in the world in pora Kansas and we're going to be at DDO hopefully getting into it luckily the next three protour events I'm trying to get into are some less popular locations or just travel logistic destinations so there's the opportunity that I get into some more of these ddio is going to be the first one which right now all three of the ones that we're going to talk about they all have open spots so once 990 opens I literally could have just signed up if I did shoot that round that I need needed to will'll be at DDO no matter what cuz all this there'll be plenty of content regardless of if I'm in the tournament or not how they not drop I do like how I feel in an inline putt better but I don't like how I putt so we're going straddle listen to the body man all right Peta this hole for this year also infinite's restocking these windbreakers soon I know some people have wanted some I don't know if they're on the site now I'll leave a link to them down in the description though cuz I know people really like these after DDO it is the busiest season of my tour and travel I'm really going to try to stay consistent honestly more consistent than I have been these last couple months when I'm on the road sometimes my drive is just higher than it is at home with tons of snow and like crappy conditions to want to film in so after DD we come back and then Thursday to Saturday is the first Q Series event which is 303 open which is now at Beaver Ranch which I'm really excited for I'm going to be practicing that a lot in April and just trying to get myself super ready hopefully practice it more than anybody else so that I can give myself an opportunity either a silver card through that or a high ranking because you only get three Q series events that count and I think I might only be able to get to four this year so after the 303 open that's done on a Saturday I have about a week at home and then I'm going to actually be driving up to Washington of Shelton Washington which is where the Cascade challenge is going to be I don't think they've announced stuff about that quite yet while it is windy but I'll be playing that a tier as long as I can get in I'm I've already booked all my travel so I better get in that's also a Q Series event wow gross good win to practice for Texas though Cascade I'm super excited for that course cuz that place just kind of looks gorgeous we'll be there for a week and then I'm going to be at the next two pro tour stops which are going to be Portland and then Beaver State fling both of which are kind of in the Portland area so we have a 2E Airbnb up there cannot wait to go into that area that time of year it's going to be absolutely gorgeous and I thought that's kind of where it was going to end and I was just going to drive back home but then they announced the Q Series and changed a little bit of my travel plans and so on the way back we're going to be stopping at my third Q Series event hopefully my last of the year but there might be another before the Q series finale if you don't know much about the Q Series it's the new dgpt qualifying series it's similar to I think what they wanted the silver rents to be the top level players can play in it but they can't get any points if they already have a tour card they can still take the money though which is kind of stinky but you get your top three events count towards a point standings if you're top three in that you get a tour card if you're top 50 Mo top 25 fpo you get invited to a finale that's in the Southeast Us in late November and if you go there then you get top three then you also get a tour card so Six Tour cards will be given out through this series lot of win we're just going to go driver actually at that short one cuz this run up sucks nice little empty Parky wow that's like kind of sick but on the way back from be state I'm going to be driving through Utah again cuz I think both on the way to this trip and on the way back I'm going to be making a stop at the infinite disc Warehouse Hills suck I need to do more cardio birdie town but my third Q Ser event cuz I want to at least get to three and hopefully get points from all of them will be the infinite dis beehive classic at the fort in Logan Utah which I'm really excited for there's a lot of like iconic courses I'll get to play and then right after that week I come home and I have another AER here in Colorado so a lot of bigger events this year where hopefully I can start to compete for finishes cuz I think I only had two or three big events last year and they're just kind of different stages little different expectations that you can manage and just learn to go through those experiences so the high plains challenge is another one where it's a saari layout at Optimist pessimist up in Fort Morgan super super pumped for that I missed that one last year really wanted to play it and then that'll be mostly it for my season I might come back later I'm going to take a couple months off to really work on some stuff I have some behind the scenes things that I'm really excited to talk to you guys about but I might come back at uscgc if I do get into it and I might play some local smaller events but I'm going to be kind of hunkered down here doing some pretty exciting stuff and then it's uscgc and then Q series finale and maybe the Mary Shelly one which is the last Q Series event before the finale if I don't have good enough points or if I'm in a for the top three point standings then I'll probably go to that one and see if I can really bump that up and it'll be another time where I'm really trying to work on fundamentals my distance my forehand my putting just making sure all that is super super solid and sound for wow that needed to be way lower holy cow that lifted that up so much now during all this time content that you're going to be able to expect I'm hoping to do some practice rounds I'm hoping to do some more unique stuff on the tour you guys already know I have a lot of friends on the tour who I'm really excited to see really excited for my wife to meet them I'm really excited that we're going to be traveling for basically all this travel together except for the infinite dis beehive classic which is why it might not need too many caddies this year has kind of turned out to be really exciting and I really hope that it's like a stepping stone to a full touring year in 2025 a lot of that's going to depend on how I'm able to perform this year so I'm going to continue to try to play as best I can and then 2025 as long as I am continue to see Improvement of myself and see that it's worth it for me and you guys continue to support I'm planning on doing a full tour of the disc golf pro tour whether that's with a tour card or trying to get in through Monday qualifying through ratings based or through some sort of pro tour or event-based exemptions I think we're going to play one last hole into a really stiff headwind see if we can manage it well cuz I think that this might be wind I'm having a deal with in 2 weeks as much as I don't like to say that you don't get to choose the chances that you get you just have to take them I would also love to say that if you guys are going to be close or at some of these events I would love to meet as many of you as possibly can practice rounds will likely be either Solo or with some Pro Tour players cuz I am really going to try to continue to increase my content quality and production output um but if we're at an event and I'm around as long as I'm like not in around stop me and say hi I'd love to chat with you guys I might have some stuff to sell at some of these events I will have Tour series coming out new stamps coming out very very very soon which I'm super super super pumped for one that might be a little Texas based but I'm really excited for this year and I honestly think I have less expectations for this year than I did last year I hope to see you guys out in about this year and then hopefully a ton more in 2 and I can't wait to tell you what I have going on in the middle of the Season appreciate you guys watching so much let me leave you with one more birdie I think it's like 340 up a hill into like 20 mph headwind maybe a little more good luck to me we're going to throw this new s ESP emper this is kind of straighter but I think if we put a touch of Heiser going up the hill should have ripped wow pass it holy cow jeez let's go jeez
