welcome back to videos of disc golf and to the first tournament practice round of the Year for me and we got a special guest you want to introduce yourself I'm Chase Cooper I'm from Tennessee and uh yeah I'm super excited to be here thank you for having me man of course dude he's got a YouTube and Instagram we're gonna be filming the front nine for my channel back Nine's gonna go on his tournament starts tomorrow as you guys are watching this so hopefully we play well we're just gonna do a scoring round Loser by lunch get on the hole one practice for the tournament a little bit hopefully I kick his butt in the winter for all his butts we both played practice on yesterday I felt pretty good about it playing blind there's uh everything is getable but it's not like a course where like you expect to birdie everything out because there's a lot there's gonna be a lot of OB it's hard to kind of tell there's three baskets that aren't in which is a little disappointing for an eight year that's happening in two days from when we're filming this yikes um but whole one story have us like 355 to get started downhill apparently there's Obi long but we have no idea how long the OB is there's OB left which I think is like past those light poles way out there because it says 18's Fairway there's a little bit of wind today which is kind of nice because yesterday there wasn't any and it's going to be good to practice in slight amount of wins yeah we're actually able to see like what a good score out here is we'll probably throw a couple but show you our first and that's what we'll be playing all right your boxes I'm gonna throw a glow md4 old school glow md4 discmania they have my heart that's how you know he throws hard perfect oh that's a little too much hyzer that's so smooth though go wow too much wiser that's a close front so that might be parked it also might be like 30 feet also probably should enter the course itself this course is like a par 66. yeah 65 65 65 and it's 9 600 feet so almost two miles of throwing so it's gonna it's gonna be a lot of short I've dive dive yeah that's a putt yeah I need to preemptively apologize because I've been keeping the camera rolling so much recently and like cutting out so much footage and I was like okay let me be responsible we throw shots that are going to be for the video turn off the camera he throws a straight up shot at the basket why did you do that I'm sorry I mean like how was I supposed to know this is the longest ice I've ever had in my life I'll try to like turn on my psyche or something like that in the basket what'd you throw md3 another glow md4 oh my goodness another one that's incredible unreal unreal looks like I'm ashamed of a videographer but yeah we're both this false front is really I think you got to kind of throw a lot harder than anything yeah you really do because like the highs are almost like you don't want to give it too much angle because it has to carry down the hill yeah I mean I threw this on way too much hyzer obviously but wow what a shot all right this is gonna be first putts of the day in the tournament first round I'm laying up yeah enough for a video oh sit oh and there's the danger of running it yeah and is that OB we don't know yeah my tournament play honestly even on like a 30-footer like this is probably laying up especially to start the tournament maybe because these baskets do not like catching right sides they do not no they do not there we go foreign good part thank you great putt that's not a par save I want to make on the first hole of a tournament hole two is a par four I think it's like 700-ish feet I think some I think it's like seven and fifty Seven fifty okay yeah we're playing up that I'll pass this car path past the top of the hill the the hill drops down to the left a lot so you want to keep something going flat and uh turning over but not going in the ball field and then we're playing around the ball field to a basket that's tucked between OB Wright and OB lift all right so smooth that's pretty good as long as you're on the other side of that tree you're really happy yeah yeah so they call this 746 this is not nearly gonna be as smooth as that the biggest thing is I thought I threw one decent shot and then three perfect shots yesterday my decent shot I thought I threw too high and it was past the tree my perfect shots were in the ground because it kind of like it kind of like raises up a little bit after that you got to throw it really you gotta throw it at least 10 feet over that sidewalk keep going right oh that's a perfect shot yeah I'm gonna be happy with that yeah that's really really good all right so this is the problem a little bit I thought I was I definitely turned it a little too much I maybe should have thrown more stable on a little higher anhyzer but we're I'm pretty short I think we're still like 350 out yeah so there is a turnover the wind is pushing us that way there's a roller plate which is really good or I think I'm just gonna try to get like a circle two putt with a forehand because I'm not really worried about hurting this hole necessarily unless I get the perfect drive because the angle on this is really hard because you gotta stay left of these light poles oh gosh sit don't go with that Pavilion okay wow that was one where I felt like I was gonna step here but because it was down yeah yeah yeah yeah so a little more highs than they think yeah I think I'm just a little bit up from where he was so I think I'm about 40 50 feet up um so I'm gonna go mid-range I'm gonna go hex turnover Lozada shout out Simon yeah because my forehand like I have a tendency to have him I swoop him a little bit they go nose up and so I don't want to end up like sweeping it too high and going into the field or just being incredibly short yeah this is a good line for turnover you're basically trying to go for them right right right turn turn more that'll be a pot oh my God brutal no sir all right this is why we're also filming an upshot video today which is going to go live yesterday get up all right now he's got three putt for me drop oh let's go let's go let's go all right three Strokes now no stress but wow that was a i Pro I wanted to step out and forehand but I'm trying to practice those backhand stand still so straight down the hill 470 all the way down there got a little headwind today it's gonna make a little interesting thank you flip up more get through the trees oh my gosh I just based it my God whoa this is setting really bad expectations for this weekend yeah me too oh I love it I think it's short it's a little bit stable man I don't think that should be safe I'm not making the right decisions today I was gonna go strike but I thought there was too much headwind but I just did not do anything to them holy straight yeah that's another pitchup maybe soft bed I got a glitch yeah get up pinned it yeah pretty unreal all right hole four I think it's right around like 250 it's up through this Gap and I don't know if you can see if there's a tree up up in the open if you can Hazard just behind it or skip right in front of it you should be parked yeah go metal flake fd3 Pampa Highs are out there go okay that should be parked we're gonna go with a strike uh try to get a little flip up and just have it right back oh yeah go oh pinned it that should be good too great Putt and those High ones really want to speak they really want to come out it hates High putts yeah we we uh installed a course in Jackson Tennessee and we got these baskets and uh these might be my least favorite ones now all right hold five finally on the board we're looking at it surprisingly maybe eagleable 720 foot hole because basically where these trees are it's just like straight down there so it's very the wind is actually very helpful right now it's the tail right to last before there's OB to left of the basket and maybe like deep that way but it'll take a lot to get it deep that way so just throw a big hyzer or flex line that gets down the hill yeah yeah throw a pretty old run Destroyer I got Strokes to play with foreign oh that's trash though I always do that oh no oh my God did that make it to the water yeah I meant to throw that on a slight Flex that looks good come on it's gonna hold too straight come on this is like the worst package surround ever I definitely have to be more in practice around mindset than battle mindset this gets on here I feel like it would maybe actually got caught up by these trees oh yeah it's wet okay it's got a big hyzer with the ultra Maybe whatever yeah you gotta look I was trying to give myself too much credit I felt like I shorted it but I just wanted to believe that I got up and down go get up oh straight into OB dude that was your perfect round you're gonna do 18. I know it man what are you thinking I mean you don't have to make me feel that much better about it I mean I'm just trying I don't want to like hurt you too bad I really appreciate that you know oh pulled it go or UOB off the tee yeah oh geez brutal I was like oh it's on the path this is nice they pulled it out of the water oh my gosh all right hole six uh this is a 901 foot par five uh there's cart path deep OB past this past this basket we are not playing to this basket the basket we're playing to is up over this Pond that was behind hole fives basket they're like two ponds in between us yeah two ponds and it's kind of like this is kind of like that par five I think I think it's ledgestone where it's basically like island island island island yeah it's pretty similar pretty it's pretty similar a lot of OB to contend with I'm gonna go hex off the T and just try and push it far enough to where I have a look at the second Island foreign no don't go too deep don't go be oh oh it went OB straight to this Gap I like the forehand on this it's relatively tight but I think I can pump my firebird and it's like gonna finish just in front of that basket and not be OB so I would throw the honor but it's a slight Tailwind I think I'm gonna throw the firebird instead oh that's great that's so good guys that's why I throw the firebird oh that's perfect that might be oh I don't think it is no no the top of that Hill is like probably about 20 short of the OB I think okay good so we can kind of see where all those guys are throwing on that path just passing about 30 feet is the basket still so we gotta we got a ways there's a landing Zone past these trees like in this little strip of wind right back here that's kind of the second Landing Zone but you need to stay right because there's also like a house or like a it's like a building over there and if you are in the building or behind the building it's really hard to get your up shot through not for Chase though he's gone this is decision Tom because like I could just lay up short and basically play for bogey at that point or I could go for the second island what do you think you are like 400 from the second island uh yeah probably around that 380 to 400 Mark you know what we'll do it for the viewers I got backups oh I heard it because I was scared go oh you crossed the bounds down there yeah I did Crossing bounds but that's a win it's not in the water so we're good is that yours there should have been a cap on it my water bottle I looked down to grab a drink and the top of the handle came off so I don't know if I'll be able to get it off I have water but I maybe don't have water I think we're kind of mid-range into the island or just another Firebird kind of Spike hyzer let's go and I think that's Obi yeah I think it's right because that carpet plays of the river doesn't it oh geez that was I shorted that so bad so just past this bath house or Waterhouse or whatever it is is safe right yeah that's where you could just play over to them or I could just play over to the I think it's only like 250 feet okay oh yeah to clear it's only 270. I'm gonna disc up since I don't have much of a run up after corialis this oh Hazard It Go and set wow that's so gross that's really gross and then when you do this you literally I mean I had to just one step it yeah I think it's just gross because of how uh oh my gosh oh no all my shots just go go go oh man I just don't think I can throw stencil shots I like to hide on that just gotta go go went out like right here I'm just gonna take relief yeah if there was a basket there that would be going in no I don't think I am there's yeah there's a white line right here third OB Strokes oh things just got interesting that's that counts no that's not land I'll give it that's Circle one so Circle one okay you'd count that I say Circle two it's a circle one you count it okay there's no basket at this eight here that would probably right yeah yeah I mean if unless you want to just like make sure that it's parked because then I'll take the stroke and I'll take the stroke for sure yeah next door we're going you see through these trees there's gonna be two stakes we're going to the far Stakes like 360 up the hill couple different ways you can get there we've been throwing for an hour and we're through six holes which is a holy cow yeah down one plus three so four strokes back that's make up a bull yeah I just gotta stop being terrible at this golf and hating it for today I kind of like that turnover I definitely don't hate that turnover play because I mean as long as you don't hit the trees like you should be safe but unless you nose up it yeah and it goes like nose up it that's good too low go Ah that's pretty good that's pretty all right kind of I feel like that play requires maybe a little more power than I have right now so I'm gonna try to turn over see how I like it that's too turned with that disc it drove down the path literally yep that's yeah that's great that's so good yeah that's gonna be my tournament play I think yeah yeah yeah I mean dude your your drive literally went a mile down the road if I tell you what if you hit the pole I'll give you the birdie well well that's the actual play I was just trying to yeah you're trying to smoke it you need the basket because you want to test the roll away here right yeah I want a Brodie Smith it and just yam it oh nice even the Pole's not starting the course oh holy it's probably about 320 downhill we're checking right now on udisk um it's just over this hill if you see this like kind of bush sticking up over the middle of the Hill the basket's just behind that it slopes down towards the OB line and so basically I'm gonna throw a backhand Hyster with a razor claw try to match the hill slope and just slide underneath the PIN oh too hot sit down or go in hit the basket oh this probably will be I think my play is Envy this looks staked for the tournament so kind of a pretty thin Fairway down there to Landon apartment wants to go like this uh soft Zone don't actually showed it today oh the wind's just pushing it sit yeah I didn't I didn't account for the rights left any yeah or either I just don't think I know how to play disc golf go oh stay up short I think I just went out just in front of you so oh that was so bad oh no slipped straight out of my hand that's what it was supposed to do I thought at first I was unfazed by the camera but I guess that's not the case I think it just slows everything down you can't get in a rhythm because you're thinking about filming nice trying to see if I can see the flags down on the left side yeah there was no OB markings yesterday for the left side but there is OB there flag that looks like on the right today so it should be on the left it looks pretty far if it's even over there yeah 7 30 maybe down and then up to the right it's pretty fun hole it kind of connects the two courses that's upper Badlands this is lower Badlands just following this line she started talking we're like man it's good to kind of have a blow up round before the tournament so they're like you know hey this is the worst that can happen I don't think I could possibly be throwing worse than I am right now and then like we just get to get out of the way you know right exactly since we're just shooting really hot honestly I'm glad I had a couple blow-up holes because like if I was to just shoot lights out today it would set up such bad expectations for this weekend yeah because then if the shot that I threw today I did the same that day but it didn't go the same I would just be frantic yeah I'd be losing my mind no it's this is the time to have the worst round ever right absolutely oh no kick out and be really lucky no brutal I am gonna go destroys I just kind of want to pump this one's a little flippy so if I pump it on hyzer through this Gap it's gonna hold it for a while you can do it and so I wanted that shape it was just a little left oh we're gonna see where that OB line is though it's gonna be 20 feet fast yeah I think the shot is literally I just want to carry the path and then just dump right left of it yeah I kind of hug that right side of the pack and have some of that footage foreign too high no it's good that's gonna be perfect yeah that's what I want that's a shot that's beautiful oh it's gonna sit on the hill too holy cow okay should have done that I think yeah maybe that was wrong with me are you retie is that your retail that you're gonna take as your shot oh yeah I can all right basket's looking down there and then we are somewhere down here I think I'm behind this cluster of trees unfortunately well let's try and punch an FDA up through that uh low ceiling for bogey little right swing baby Circle to look maybe yeah yeah pulled it a little bit why play disc golf when this happens oh my gosh okay so this is where I landed can I stretch out and throw a big I might actually I gotta get behind a lot but I might be able to throw an Annie maybe hurt myself a little bit that's so much more open but it's so much more closed for the line I can get but I Gotta Throw This forehead that's the really smart shot stupidly yeah I mean I missed my line it's not a good shot if I was playing this yesterday I would have probably counted as OB so the fact that it's not I'm happy I'm a dog so I'm not gonna throw my super flippy heat I'm gonna throw my slate less flippy Heat that is that's an incredible shot for where you're at thank you maybe some running this especially when I got a stroke either way yeah good up this is a safe bogey I think yeah oh you pulled it come on guy that's one thing I have the most confident looking air balls you've ever seen it looked very good if I'm gonna miss I'm going to try really hard that's the front nine baby so today we're posted at the same time so you can
