welcome back to Bonanza disc golf today we are in Rapid City in South Dakota and I am going to do a forehand only challenge because I need a lot of work with my forehand touch forehand distance forehand the course that we're going to be playing today is called Lacroix Park So today we're gonna go forehand only and try to be part of this 12-hole course my shoulder and elbow are feeling a little tired nothing that I think will hurt myself this could get really interesting all right looks like for hole one we're going straight into a headwind starting off with a 350 foot pretty much max distance shot here into this headwind I'm definitely going arrive I just need to determine my more or less stable one we're gonna go my more stable ride just be smooth don't try to throw it too hard just be smooth and keep it in the air oh no bye bye oof this is why we gotta do this freaking challenge all right if you're one of these people let me know too but I always bring like a bunch of this with me to decide the shot this is such a bad first drive the big problem with that drive is I didn't fall through when I throw forehand I really like to come through and then make sure that I transfer my weight to this front foot so my back foot can fall through didn't do that so I just released it like this which is way hyzer therefore terrible shot but we're gonna go bull snake here doesn't like to go super far and it likes to give me 10 foot looks I'll take it super slow from Lone Star discs solid discs we'll take apart move on pull two this is saying about 2 30. we're going on the other side of those trees back there sun is coming through I'm not sure if it's 2 30 or 3 30. I think I'm just gonna go with the reliable Jeremy cooling Thunderbird from 2021 pretty overstable send it out to the left feel confident that it'll come back I think this is probably too much disc but I want to make sure I get over everything oh Anthony oh my gosh not a bad distance but over to today on Good throws I think I just absolutely cannot be that smart if I somehow thought that this was 230 feet because my disc is right down here you just says we're at like 340 right now kind of pin High the safe play is going when he's overstable guys I really like practicing throwing flippy discs on a forehand so that's my pure not the best shot ever also this is my first day like wearing a tank top in like ever and this tan line is gross it's all good we take 11 parties in one birdie we still get to add this to the list all right according to udisk this basket should be like right across the river there but instead it's way on top of this okay I'm dumb I just explained that I thought we were going to a different basket we're not we're just going to basket that's behind the tree I just looked around the tree and literally straight behind the tree there is a basket so that's where we're actually thrown to something overstable 220 feet I like the Zone because it's a little bit faster and a little glidier so it'll stay in the year longer in this win foreign oh no stop rolling that was such a good putt felt good out of the hand at least they're popping out cool four looks like we're in the a position at 259 down there we're gonna throw my less stable zone or Sky God for Less stable Zone should actually still get some turn before it finishes and hopefully just stay away from this little creek here it's my first good shot but that headwind is way stronger than I thought that's the first one that felt good coming out of my hands got another Circle to look that's it oh come on oh man these putts are feeling good out of my hand well five looks like we have 290 feet up the hill at 295 uphill with a helping tail we're gonna do something funky and I'm gonna throw my Dome eight six negative three one I don't throw flippy discs normally especially not on a forehand so I'm pretty scared of how this is gonna turn out but could be good I think I have a general idea how to throw it gonna make sure I throw it way to the right so it comes back left whoa that is so funky that's so weird looking it's honestly pretty good shot that disc is very fluffy though I was so scared that I just left it out so far to the right and then it's just like nah I'm gonna come way back up for you so hopefully have a look it might be short I still don't know how I feel about the Disco there's a couple Lone Star discs that I put in my bag after doing my challenge with them and I've liked them so far a bit but I haven't like fallen in love with them could have just thrown a different disc here but I wanted to really test myself in my understable foreheads like crap check this out I actually it's my best driving the dam inside the circle I'm still I'm so happy about that I'm learning things about disc golf nice butt we got the birdie with the flippy forehand with my flippiest disc in my bag let's go let's hope the birdie train starts to roll my confidence with my forehand just went up 10 times all right hole six Here We Go Again 229 feet up the hill there we're gonna throw the Texas Ranger as my actual shot and since it's a forehand with a flippiness that does have some stability at the end I'm gonna try to throw it hard and either flat or slightly anhyzer so it'll go left and come back right foreign oh that's a really really really good shot left myself about 15 feet that's why there's something about this Texas Ranger I don't know what it is but I keep talking about taking out of my bag but it gives me some confidence birdie train is starting Honda seven we are running out of daylight big time I just went and ran down to see where this basket was right in between those two trees honestly kind of in line with the one to the left gonna try to throw I think what is this one it's definitely a 450 based on looking at where the position is so Rive shot leave it out wide the headwind will turn it if I throw it down the hill enough keep the nose down and we should be good turn it more turn it more turn it more it didn't turn enough it's down the hill it might have cut rolled based on the inglet I saw it hit the hill so it could be inside the circle but we're definitely within 100 feet we're probably about 70 feet out so it's not jump hunt rage for me we're gonna go bull snake I think actually try to throw it in because that's fun oh that looked good for my angle probably not from yours but take an easy three all right honestly not super far we're going straight up the hill there to the basket shouldn't be too complicated except for the fact that this tree's in the way so I'm gonna throw my I got four on a slight flex line I don't know either 205 or 230 but we're going uphill so no I threw it I wrote good distance I it's touchy throw that thing hard and throwing it uphill not because of the disc but because I'm bad this is definitely putt about 50 feet oh my God that one I finally got the height right just missed the birdie train has come to a stop well it's that last one never mind sunlight is coming to a stop though honestly all right hole nine from here it's like beneath that tree way down there big big 400 foot forehand which I totally got in the bag totally we're gonna go with my flippy arrive kind of have a Tailwind though so that will help me out a little bit as long as I can get a look for an easy easy three I'm happy we're down two let's just finish this round score honestly I'm pretty happy with that uh it wasn't as short as I thought I can't put this we'll throw a forehand out we'll use the pure hopefully these trick shots pay off no all right hole ten we're going here we're going underneath that tree there's actually a kid running through into the basket so and I think instead of going Dome again this might be a mid shot I need to find the distance because there's no sign here oh no did I leave my phone I always leave my phone at least once during around such a bad habit where did I even leave it I'm gonna throw my less stable T-bird 3. it's not nearly as flippy as my dome but if I throw it on a slight an Hazard line it should turn and I want it to start finishing so going back to the right right in front of that tree so that we don't land in the water but we land under the basket that's really high oh my gosh I keep forgetting that everything is so much flippier at this elevation gosh how did I leave my phone I'm such a dummy okay one benefit of the sun going down check that out that's sweet kind of a death pot but we're definitely outside the circle finally mate oh no come on my phone thank goodness zero percent Circle two but I'm three for four and hitting metal and the other one I barely missed the left 11 we're going up the hill right through there gonna pump up this ISO a little more sorry for the grain either 190 or 224 honestly since we're going up the hill I'm just gonna go Texas Ranger try to lay it next to the basket oh that turned it so much that's way too much juice wow I'm missing a little pot pretty much around a tree honestly I think I might put with the Zone since we got a little wind finish that's it this selection is not going great for me right now luckily we didn't get too bad of a roll away and borrowing something drastic drast risk drastic drastic happening on the last hole we should be solid because we're down to onto the last hole we had literally the last little bit of daylight that we can find Tina from here and honestly seeing them all the way down there is hopeful see where the basket actually is kind of like right in front of my van remember that kid just threw that disc and at 450 feet it's gonna have to be quite the shot all right we got to remember a couple things we got to throw it down the hill instead of flat out there which is such a weird feeling like you're throwing it into the ground I'm gonna throw kind of aiming at this car it's the far side of the parking lot because if we can get the two here I'd feel very happy about my 4am progress honestly today already has made me feel more confident before we even take this last shot so that understable forehand stuff knowing that I can play a pretty clean round out here and I'm like putting myself inside a circle too which is what I had been doing for a while with my backhand and now I'm starting to put myself way more inside of circle one so just need a lot more practice you want more of these forehand only rounds definitely let me know or any other challenges that you want to see on the channel as I'm traveling around I should be able to do a ton let's have a big old shot crazy wind pushing right to left so I might even need to put a little more left oh my gosh no I did not it just what the okay that something crazy might have happened because I think what happened there is it started turning but the wind is coming this way the disc is turning this way and when that is happening the wind is just beating it down and it's not letting it stable out and go back to the right I need to get up and down but this is essentially just going to be another tee shot to this basket all right here we are basket is straight ahead of us elevated we're gonna go Sky God four as an upshot this year it's saying we're still 200 feet out from the PIN that's solid that's really good that's really really good oh yeah oh yeah way better than my forehand drives just like that we're gonna be able to take our bogey free two down that's such a good up shot this video was filmed back in August when I had just gotten into South Dakota after being a really high elevation for a while so that's why you hear me saying things are flippy even though it's like 3 000 feet because the further down you get an elevation the more things want to start to turn over a little bit but let me know what challenges you want to see definitely like the video If you enjoyed it subscribe to my channel I'm trying to hit 10 000 by the end of this year so I got two and a half months to get like 7 000 subscribers but what's even more helpful than that is to go watch another video like this one which is another crazy challenge video where I speed ran a course in Colorado maybe not my best decision ever but a lot of fun and some crazy shots that happen so go check that out I appreciate you love you see in the next one like the video subscribe bye peace see ya
