Who Is This Even For? [New Latitude 64 Sinus Review]

today I have a pretty interesting episode of Johnny Potter reviews for you cuz we're going to be taking a look at the latitude 64 cenus this is actually one of the old ones they sent me the old zero medium and the difference that you'll be able to tell is that this has these interesting little grip textures on it a new one in the zero medium they also sent out as well as an opto these do not have that little grip it's just a normal surface on the top but the profile you might initially think oh kind of like a Zone copy but the flight numbers 2202 and one throw with it showed me that it's not quite the same I took it out to throw one forehand intending on throwing some more and I realized it's just not the same disc to me they feel very deep in the hand cuz they are a pretty deep Putter and even though they kind of are masquerading themselves as an approach disc when you look at the edge there they definitely seem to be a Potter that's trying to fake the an approach disc probably not actually but that's more intriguing if you say it that way I haven't thrown it much but I almost wonder if this Compares more to the Rhino so in the comments let me know your thoughts but I've literally only thrown one shot with only the opto one so today we're going to play 18 holes at Johnny Roberts disc golf course I think it's the second most popular course either in the nation or the world but it's my local Denver pit P so my record in Johnny putter reviews is 15 down I'm very interested to see how these are going to Faire cuz you guys know my feelings about deep discs a lot of times not the biggest fan cuz of my little baby hands but we're going to try to get buy that today and shoot a good round I would love the main goal get some metal and I think because these are slower discs they do look very blunt on the edge even for being so deep that I don't think they'll go far past the basket so we have a chance to shoot a pretty good round we'll start out with the opto on a little forehand 165 right there I've never seen this position before and it looks like a lot of the holes have changed positions since I've been here last so potential opportunity for some M runs I see nice and high let's go I think that just sat down right for the basket though try some back hands with these and whenever I throw the zero medium I'm going to also throw this zero medium cuz it's the same plastic this one is a little bit stiffer than this one this is a little flexer even though they're the same and there is a difference that I see in the in the profile that I'll show you after this hole there is that stability for that was close now not terrible the opto feels good cuz these two they're going to beat in so much faster and this is going to be gone in like five holes but they're a little sharper feeling around the bottoms this one feels nice and round let me show you why I think there's a little difference between these two it's going to be super minuscule but you can probably see this is going to be a little bit blunter and blockier not quite as round as this yellow one very slight obviously not a major major difference and it also looks like it's slightly deeper I do Wonder why they took away this grip cuz this is honestly what part of what makes the sinus or the cenus excuse me so cool uh is having that weird grip I don't know if it's the new manufacturing is making that more difficult but the plastic feels honestly better but flexer in my opinion for zero medium and I do I do like this someone had speculated that it might just be that like when it gets wet it gets worse but then you still have the rest of the flight plate to hold on to so I'm very intrigued about throwing these backhand because they're so deep but I'm going to make this one one through one we're on a good track so far and it did almost seem like this white one was the most overstable maybe this one is easier to get wobble from because typically a premium plastic disc versus base plastic the premium is going to feel slightly larger I have no idea why that happens but it's pretty Universal in what I found with discs so maybe I just get a little bit worse of a release with that compared to this cuz this does feel better to forehand in my opinion ever so slightly this Ho's terrible to film so we're only going to throw one shot and hopefully birdie that looks nice if it's sit sound is good I see this on pole two so check them out see if they're good that's some interesting marketing should I do this on more courses you think I do think two Glide might be a little understated for how deep these are they just look like they shouldn't be glidey based on the profile but they're so deep that just so much air gets under it I think they stay in the air long or I could have just really not thrown a 150t shot so Circle two guy drop I'm giving it at least a 2 and 1 12 Glide it would just be a little odd to bring back kind of a leg Legacy mold an older one with a cool little gimmick you take away the gimmick it's an interesting like characteristic so I don't know where it'll fit in people's bags but maybe like hard forehands that you want to kind of like a little bit faster Berg with a little Glide hopefully we can figure that out by the end of today 222 we got maybe 8 to 10 m hour of a headwind I guess opto is kind of the first guy for now throwing good shots with it fish Shanks one then we'll move along cuz it's definitely the disc at that point okay there's that slow speed not crazy over stable I did pull it a little right but you it kind of did want to get to the ground more so that does make sense the zero medium new one okay it's not more of a stable than the opto unless I'm just throwing really inconsistent could be the case I'm trying out a new grip which hopefully fixes some stuff or helps some stuff but maybe not the best time that could do it nope died interesting I'm going to chalk that up to a little bit of inconsistency with my grip the second one did feel like it came out really clean first one did not and the third one did as well but I slowed it down so I did see that like two-speed low Glide DNA there which is a positive it's over too overstable for me I guess too underst stable for me I guess too glty for me I guess one through three not the start you're looking for but I just watched my footage back of how I was thrown out last tool is I let this guy play through and I like the way the new grip is looking um but it's not a fix haul who would have thought that just trying to change my grip isn't going to change all my bad form habits unlucky me but we have 237 ft so a decent little rip with these guys I think we're going to throw honestly Zer medium I really like how this has been flying and we're going to throw forehand with it oh wow I threw well I I don't know why I thought I would flip that or like turn that should there's no the op though there we go see like that fade got a little wobble it's much I wobble that one so much more than the others and that fade was more like just kind of get to the ground not really pushing to the right like a Zone would have pushed much rter on that line even with the same speed and stability so more of a putter flight where the heck did this thing go oh wow it's actually like way deep I think this goes farther than I thought it would going to need to be a cool one oh no fade so only 171 I have to get some metal on it I think what I noticed even on those putts there is that the overstability is more that the edge will tip so if I'm throwing a backhand it's not like the disc is going to fly and then push to the left it's more it's going to fly and the edge is going to tip down as it gets to the ground so instead of going like this it's going to go more like this so that's good to remember wow yeah not a lot of Fade All Right another one just outside the circle it's so deep just holds on to my hand this might be one of the disc I've had the most inconsistent releases within a long time I might try to change my putter up to a little bit more like up and down dad but just that way I know I'm getting it in the air online instead of trying to spin it at it only birdie of the day is with the opto so we're going back to it 177 ft right ahead of us he's time little Tailwind don't have to aim it too right dude what did I just say to you hit the tree no since now Johnny putter watch a man fall apart that's better okay the more I throw them the more they that acts similarly if anything the white might even be a little glider than the yellow one the plastic being a little bit softer might have something to do with it I'm just impressed at uh these shank jobs here to be honest with you well wasn't bad this is such an interesting combination of speed Glide and over stability it it really just surprises me I'm trying to think about like what this could be used for for somebody who can get consistent releases who probably has a little bit bigger hands than I do and I think it could be a really good slow approach disc very much like the Rhino but I have enough holes left that I should be able to figure it out by the end of the round and get some good throws in we'll go off again 231 it's straight ahead so it's going to be a little flex but I don't think Flex it right I think Flex it at it cuz it's going to turn a little bit and it's going to fade a little bit but not fade hard so I keep pulling it every time that one it just feels like it holds on to my hand I think I need think about honestly releasing it 15 to 20 ft lter of my line so I'm going to try that this time and see what happens yep it worked wow interesting okay I figured out the key my first aim point with the first disc was at the tree that I was aiming at on anheiser and then I pulled it over towards the next Tad over here so instead of aiming at this tree I decided to aim at this tree move my aim about 20 ft to the left and then I threw both of the next ones right online which was the tree line so I'm just getting the PS with these they're probably holding on they're a little deeper than anything I would personally ever bag but now that I figured out the key to throwing them for myself should be able to better assess the flights instead of just saying he I shanked it again there we go we're going to give this one a little forehand it's only 162 ft so I think throwing a little turtle forehand that tries to get to Flat is the play the ground is like the ground play is very minimal even on the opto which is kind of nice a little too much angle on that one yes never thought I'd be star for birdies out here the only problem here is I can't really aim the opto left cuz I'll hit that tree so I guess I need to aim my body differently and the Chains It's only like 135 ft or something like that I would love a first time Ace on this series stand still Perfection too much hit sit though oh what a tree ah same exact shot okay as you can see they fly very similarly no I might be I might be a base plastic cenis kind of guy three down though we can salvage a good round if you would have told me coming into this round that I haven't hit any metal on these positions so far I'd be surprised having thrown these discs now not as surprised figuring them out has been one of the hardest ones in this Johnny Potter review series I don't know who would pick this over a harp other style Des but if it's you please let me know why I'm very intrigued and that way in further reviews if I do have something that's similar or in like the same vein I can know who to recommend it to they moved this hole out of my didn't actually probably Ace it but I actually they put the camera was off position now it's 231 again I think we're probably just going to roll with the zero medium there we go oh okay that's where you can see it's just overstable putter like that is not going to be the flight that you get at that distance with an approach disc the opto is definitely a little more over stable and that one still flew not not even I put a banana fro video up of the most overstable Powter that I might have ever tried which is Wild Thing by Jester discs and that thing was more overstable in that Cen this just flew similar speed I think and similar Glide honestly but way more over stability or at least push to the left I I do keep feeling like this should be slower than it is on these lines that I'm throwing in but it's not a one-speed it is probably truly a two-speed count it turkey let's go 1 15 five perfect little forehand this one I think just like whole 12 that I really wanted to Ace just aim it a little left and trust that it's going to get that little bit of fade that it needs to into the basket get in there baby oh that was so good this is a very forh handable two-speed so that is nice I need to not shank you for some hold this video please let this be the start of a good thing between us I might only be able to throw that disc back in and even then questionable let's go it is so I feel like this is gets glider classic the slower you throw it low speed super glidey high speed not very glidey maybe similar to spin maybe lower spin more Glide because I have more spin on my backand and I'll spin this guy and it'll want to get to the ground I really want to know who this is for I I can see someone using it I don't know if any Trilogy sponsored Pros or latitude sponsored Pros would throw it AC Bowl 204 so I think we're going forehand with this guy for the rest of the video backhand with this guy it feels more like a backhand disc in the premium plastic it does feel more like a putter that has an approach bottom but these ones feel like approach discs that have putter DNA if that makes any sense at all like that's so nice it's just way way wow way long it's huh it's just not as slow as I think I think it is like that's a nice disc I like that if I try to throw that I would roll it because I don't throw very well back or forehand so we'll see if we can backhand it in there yes oh I found what you use them for backand for the backand for the premium four hand for the other one oh we got some metal though that's a win I really thought I made that that one definitely seems to be the most overstable definitely seems to be glider than 2202 maybe like a 242 on the forehand I'd say it's pretty accurate on the backand just hard to get behind the depth all right this is a a sick putt to keep the the streak alive stay up it's a two Glide what am I talking about that would have gone in if it was a three Glide what the heck on track to save a decent round so this is taking me a bit to warm up too but with six holes to play I'm not mad at it okay way deep wow I do also wonder if part of the reason that I'm struggling with thinking that this disc is so much glider than it reports to be is I'm having trouble slowing down on it the deeper a disc gets the harder time I have throwing it slower because maybe I just my form is is bad but I think because it takes more time for it to come out of my hand it's for some reason I when I I need to slow down even more than I am sometimes capable of so maybe it is this glidey for somebody who can kind of throw it more normally but it seems to have a little bit more Glide than it than it says but I might just be throwing it too fast fast let's go 243 to the basket with a little headwind this one I'm going to play kind of for birdie just trying to throw a turnover that gets to Flat in front of the basket I'm not going to try to Ace run it cuz I think since this is overstable if it's getting to Flat it's going to really elongate that flight as it's slowing down so we're going to throw the backand 243 and see if I can find more ways to love this thing I still always FR it I really have a hard time slowing down on that disc I'll throw these ones back in real fast as well okay there's definitely straighter than the opto that was a very similar shot I thought yeah that one might be a little less glidey I'd say all around I prefer throwing the base plastic ones but that premium one is fine I just for something that's supposed to be a more approach style disc or slow putter I'm having a hard time throwing it slowly so I don't feel like I'm getting the benefits of what it's supposed to do for me yeah that is so much glider than it says it is I think like about as gladi as my Marvels I'd say we only got a buck 89 it's been under construction for a while so see if we can Ace it real fast oh a little left to right I thought it be a little more helping but I mean throwing this thing for approaches I do like cuz it's a little glider but it is slower than a Zone 2 so I can it's easier to get up this speed when I'm throwing it slowly and it pushes with a similar flight of Zone just like 30 to 50 ft shorter this that's what I would use this for but it's way too specific to just not try to work on some touch I could do it ah it just doesn't swing enough oh my I cannot forehand that disc bies through to play Shout Out Brandon one of the owners of local shop CL to here another round uh he was talk we just talking about these as I was waiting on whole one since he's running a a league here and he was talking about how a lot of people old school in the day would throw the old cenus and but then when they took him away someone said that the Envy replaced it for him and I don't think that's really one for one or close to it then he was talking about the pig and if I I mean I've thrown arpo pigs a little bit but that seems to be the best comparison I think to these the the look of them is not super similar but I would say that these are probably closest in flight to the pig based on what I've seen so little forehand Ace run shorty let good one finally a little too left better stay up though dang it I can't hate that but like not a new Pig like a slightly beat in pig I think I don't know that just that rung the bell with me based on what I've thrown pigs like before and how these are flying so if you are a pig thrower and a Cena thrower I I would love to hear your guys' best comparisons for these because it is I me it's not like the typical what you see a bunch of Pros throwing and therefore what I try to emulate my bag cuz I probably am too easily influenced someone else when I was over there said prod Banger or maybe like a banger GTA similar as well I really I don't know well that's the reason to put it in the bag miss your putt left and Nubs it right back in thank you CIS somehow that puck keeps the dream alive of going 6 to six on these back two to play 144 footer right here got to get this one going to give a little heer a r I've not been throwing a lot of just like spiky hisers and I don't think this is going to skip very much so we'll throw one of those try to make it in and then we have the longest hole in the course 276 so it's probably going to be backand it's probably going to be this guy and we're going to have to end it with an opto birdie and I almost just died but not actually like 40 ft away so these have grown on me a little bit but I still think uh I'm not like playing for any giveaways or anything but I am going to put one of these in the 50k giveaway pile so subscribe right now we opto cuz I think it's a cool disc it's premium plastic obviously but I prefer these I think so we're going to put the OPA one in that giveaway nice why would you do that dang it I love that out of my hand there it is no okay that one's less glidey I really do think that maybe that little thumb stuff on the top does detract some Glide because every time I've thrown it these last bunch of times it has been a little bit less glidey I don't know about more over staes the stability seems to be similar but I think there's something about wind going over the top of a disc and that affecting the flight and if there's something in the way of that it's going to fly a little bit differently doesn't seem as drastic as like a thumb track disc but still seems to be there and again I'm at Circle two for some reason oh no what's up dude Bar's fine we cance the last tole and still go 6 to six so before we th this last hole I think we're pretty much at 9 down I would guess so not a bad little run if then the other one was actually like 50 ft long so this obviously grw on me the more I threw it the more I found ways to maybe like it more it definitely does what it reports to do it just probably isn't for me cuz a hand feel but I'm glad I was able to figure it out by the end of the video and throw some really good forehands throw some really good backhands honestly throw better backhands with it I'm a better backhand player so it makes sense as I figured out my new grip and figured everything out but thank you guys so much for watching subscribe please like the video on your way out and go
