18 Hole Battle w/ THE MOST FUN DISC RELEASE OF 2023!!!

there have been a lot of discs that come out this year but aru maybe unarguably the most fun one to come out so far has been the Inova disc Rollo massive massive shout out to Joseph over at Another Round Disc Golf who you've seen throw the Rollo more than anybody else that you've ever seen throw a disc but he ended up sending me out a star Rollo as well as one of the glow rollos both of these are max weight and we're going to play 18 holes today with just the Rollo including putting we normally don't do that but it's a mid-range it'll be close enough and we're not just going to do it alone massive sh it's been a while we were supposed to have you on the channel a while ago hey how's it going nice to meet yall been playing disco for like 22 23 years but just got into tournaments about 3 years ago so stoked for it I it's absolutely the best he is the one who first put me on the roll I threw this one with him 5641 are the numbers we're both going to throw this one on and off but this will be our first shot we'll throw this as a second kind of each on every hole and we'll play for it so whoever wins gets the glow Rolo it's pretty sweet it's a little windy out today and we're here at a course called westfork which I haven't played in a while really nice course though with two baskets the loser of the hole gets to choose the next basket that we play to this one's going to make things tough I would be I'd be happy if either of us are under par today with the Rollo pry good i' be very happy first sh to the practice basket oh no flip really here we go we got a pretty big Tailwind little nose up glow in the basket keep going you're just watching that Glide so cool that was so close nice shot all right rip it makes it easier for me you know he throws too hard to actually throw the Rollo see that's a really bad shot you know so it's going to be really easy win today all right TJ you want to go first or second oh you call it bro we we'll let the disc decide also requir some speed control and if you want to try to Ace it you got a cliff back there oh that's just smooth that's so smooth we got a big right to left we're kind of practice baskets over there here you can throw the glow on after this one real fast but I'm going to ace it oh get down get down get down there's that six Glide coming in all right I hope you miss your putt I'm punching that under the basket we're wow what the heck oh nothing it's more stable it is out of my hand I was like oh it's the right angle and then it just I think I showed the flight plate way too much and the wind just like the wind just said no you got eyes on it all right we are here in the basket somewhere up there you you take the camera let's see we're going to see how good TJ is at filming so I'm like in line with it but we probably have like another 50 from me oh oh great shot little kiss you scared me bro that looks way too clean unfazed cars are going to be birdies today we got some headwind now maybe like 10 m hour or so we're going to the Longs on this one cuz we're just going to the ones that we can see until someone can choose 365 oh baby oh you rolling it trying oh he's the hill you put like what 35% power into that the headin holes which are going to be the next next couple are going to definitely make this a little difficult that roller was sick I'm definitely going to have to start trying to roll it a bit thank you but I'm glad I was able to cck cuz the second one I really slowed down my arm and increased like the snap that I gave it got to actually useable flight granted that one might be slightly more stable can you see me oh you went oh that's a little shorter than I thought it was going to be that's a bogey in common without a really good Putt and the problem is on a slope if you miss the putt with the Rollo I can't imagine it's not going to roll away good sit good sit oh the commitment was there nice bogey all right so I'm back one now that means I get to choose so we're going to go to the Longs again 396 ft slightly downhill yeah good luck all right let's try another Rollo Spike Rollo that's all the way down the hill it's gonna all right it wants to roll I think I think it might want to roll a bit go no obes today because of this right we'll play the obes this is bad this is really I don't have a roller game so we're going to need to develop one within the next 15 holes somehow yeah you just got to aim so far left like anytime you want to throw harder you got to aim more left good news is we got a good approach disc uhoh unconv route we you going for the air shot there yeah I mean I wanted to like spike it into the ground and then just have it sit there like just a Annie spike it almost did almost roller mode yeah there the Rollo oh that's the Rollo yeah yeah let's go yeah he's got got this okay that's that might be in the circle you want throw the glow one more height it is more stable for sure yeah it is it like wants tan more instead of like dive to I trusted the spin on that one and and I I didn't give it the height I needed to I mean I think over the next few holes we might guys have a good one thanks guys have a good one we might actually try to uh throw shots that the roll is designed for not try to force 400t roller shots you know what I mean is it forcing it no little headwind uphill it's the bread and butter for the Rollo oh dang it whole five I get to choose again we got two part 3es we're going to go to the short this time 232 straight ahead of us give it some little Ace runs into the headwind again there's a long basket that's kind of by those trees way out there 450 and I'm going to see if we can alternate shop par you get to decide if you want to take the t- shot or the up shot on the on the part oh it's your box still me thinking I got a birdie when I miss a putt out of the left side chains who's this guy do we try the forehand I'm here with it forehand wow bold guy Valley dude I legit haven't grip locked the disc in a while that was a really bad grip lock you could have played that off is oh I forgot I was throwing a Rollo that would have been even worse honestly these are one of the discs that you almost have to like let go of it instead of snapping it off of your fingers yeah the snpp go and so like I felt like I did it at the wrong time and it just like I wanted to and it's like no your back fingers are still on this thing is so hard to throw in the air all right all right we're more we're playing the Green Park the Green Park the green all right let's see if we can if we can be that guy o yeah with the roller Park the green yeah did I say orange I thought I said green stay up oh a little short we're fine good approaching with this thing basket Tap Out never let it go oo I think this is a 150 ft in IND dis and it's pretty money yeah we'll figure it out from longer range hopefully we get a little less wind coming through you know from that range this is your touch that you need and the Rollo just works with it perfectly it doesn't want Power put to it no it just wants a little flick of the wrist if the glitch is a seven Glide this is a seven Glide I think you know six where we going we got 338 to the green and then 46 to the left honestly orange with the OB I like these both I'll leave it up to the flip of a disc I'll go heads is Green Oh and then Tails heads we're going green oh come on Wow Caroll oh it would have if it didn't hit the things I feel weird throwing at people yeah I felt weird too cuz I was literally aiming at her but I knew it wasn't going to go there are you rolling it I want to do the cut roll no you didn't stop forgot to put the brakes orange my bad yeah see even the dis knows what I really want all far the numbers on the Rollo the 5641 I would say is almost true except you could argue for like 6 and 1 half or seven Glide but everything else I think is pretty accurate honestly true statement we're going orange I just cannot give myself to throw it left enough to where it needs to roll oh not even close oh you going to do the same C roll oh what the heck was that little nose angle up got a little love love yeah nice that thing just goes this thing is pretty consistently farther than I anticipated it was just practice our Rollo approach is yeah oh it got taken by the wind sit down we left ourselves a little bit of a tester here yeah that's a good bogey save nice too dude thank you all right our basket is over there to the right because I get to choose and we're playing the Orange for sure it like goes right towards OB so if you turn it too much like I'm kind of having a little trust in myself which I maybe shouldn't have that I'm going to get it right and TJ's going to get it wrong cuz there's three strokes and I need to make them all back in 10 holes that's not going to be easy I'm going to give you this opportunity again I'm going to try the Redemption oh I think it curled down I think you skipped out oh my gosh that was so perfect I put like 15% power in I think I'm going to throw it flat through this left Gap hopefully just keep it short and get myself a putt yo settle settle settle that is butter dude that's so butter I threw that 2% like I think I literally just flick my wrist like I use my body but I feel like I just flick my wrist you use your body just so you didn't mess with your form just to keep the follow through just like you can do one of these we're going to be close we're going to be close it's going to be perfect and it's ooh ooh that's it dude yes that's so annoying KJ dang so lucky three so lucky so this little meanie still has a box so we're going to the longs it just gives more opportunity for something to mess up 300t to the short 400 ft to the Longs now we're playing back into a headwind since we've been in a slight tail the last couple holes I don't like that his roller game is much more dialed than mine but you got to take chances to win you know I'm switching up we're going shorts I lied sorry we're going shorts cut it oh that was pretty brutal so short you see I think this is I was like got to take chances to win and I was like wait I've been taking a long chances got to take the chances on the shorts that he either throws it too far or throws too much of a roller and I shank it just enough that end the head one we're good he's playing his mind games look at this look at this guy what's going on perect what that banana left banana right and now it's flexing back and fading perfectly amazing amazing like a triple banana curl that was a whole snake up in there got to run it don't turn your putt into a roller okay okay okay it is a headwind so thank you for the reminder you're welcome just a friend that position mostly because it's terrible on camera I think now it's time to see if we can get the flick a hook up wow dude that thing goes on the pop forever that's going to be TP that's that's like perfect with where he wants his nose angle to be like never flutters it's nuts it's like a like a golfer using a golf club he's just changing his speed rather than anything else like it's the same fluid motion wa the wind kind of picked up in your face there for no reason made that put earlier it's just redeeming itself oh my goodness uhoh TJ hey no layups no layups you think there are layups on this channel not intentionally it looks like it all the time it's a bold strategy trying to hit the cage if I hit the cage I'm gonna throw the GL at you oh there it is you know sometimes you just be yeah wow the wind kind of affects this disc a lot this is a chance really I'm leaving the door open last couple all right I'm just going to rip it that could be huge if it stays and if it flips that's huge N I curled back left dang we'll do we'll do alternate shot birdie with the Glo got to make the correction oh yeah that's that's ripped dude that was a good shot that's probably like 370 take that even without a Rollo right in a Tailwind Rollo is the right shot for this hole I guess we learned something new today yeah all right so I'm right over here all right we still got a decent Tailwind I went out right about here so in this vicinity if we can get it back to the Fairway nose down enough that it'll actually roll straight I don't think we can get there cuz we're still I mean we're 420 out since we're in line with that basket plus a little extra angle so back in the Fairway flip ah I just throw two nose up with these guys TJ's way up here this could definitely be this could be those two strokes if you get up and down for birdie dude this would be such a good birdie we got the right win on this whole Tailwind is that right if I take a run up yeah of course we play like approximate lies here get there oh there's some that's a putt dude there's a on but that's that's in the circle I like pressure this is for alternate shot birdie to Moss yeah you got to stop wearing Moss disc golf apparel there's OB right behind it so we really just got to pitch it up nice that's makeable putt for the bogey how do you feel about the proect of Birdie in this hole and getting back to level going into the final three I feel like that's exactly where I want to be I love it I think it's you're going to cage it if you're going to ban it it's going to change it's going in it's going in I can't believe it Return to Sender baby hey you got the practice putt now you make it yep you just you just really don't want me to give up this glow though cuz I've been liking it that much yeah I felt bad just a good guy two bogeys all right so three holes left he gets to choose this one whole 18 and then we're going to play whole four short which is the first actual good air shot that I threw that I BL the putt off the left side chains and then we're going to play five long which is the one that we played to the short and then played the alternate shot to the long that he made that great putt kind of end ended on a pretty big hole that there definitely could be some two-stroke swings here oh yeah come out come out don't worry it supposed to be 40 ft to the left I just can't bring myself to throw it there I can't bring myself to throw a disc like that oh if that just sits that's a good shot that's a good shot thank you all right goo turn keep turning oh my um what deep I threw it straight over the basket this is 360 ft all right so we're about equally as far I'm going to putt first I feel like this is such a good disc like work on your swing plane like that glow low shot at like such a small power and just pop it I feel like it flies so pure when there's no off aess torque and a lot of my messed up shots even this one are like when I throw with some off aess torque cuz it just like torqus it over so it's going to be a pretty useful tool no layups I can't say that and then do that I feel like I should get a stroke just for saying that and doing that to be honest my hit the ground I had every intention of getting that chain high and hit the ground 5T in front of the basket no layup like I wish I wish that I had like the pride to cut out that I said no layups before I said that but it's going in the video I like an honest man you know appreciate that go appreciate that no layups literally lay rule if this is chain high for you worst you could take is a par since I said no layups and did that all right power for you I can't throw it left all right TJ just birdie I can't do it oh oh a oh we got to come back or up the hill we're making a 450 ft monster Par 3 perfect just stay absolutely perfect yeah that's a be that's the shot dude oh my gosh you might to it I think you're still like 80 short but yeah I'm still short I that is like that you put that in a position that you gave yourself a chance and you didn't throw it hard enough to where you it ever got swirly it's it's far I'll miss that I definitely wanted to throw that you got this putt though if you make this I might miss that and you win danger danger folks that's bad yeah good bot give me is that a four playoff hole a it's going to do it oh no no way is it going to curl too okay good still a roll up oh it is kind of curling that's a pot that is that's it's it's not it's not like I'm going to get it every time putt but that's a putt oh it's not even going to turn oh no it's so beautiful it's so good here's that headwind again no uhoh it's all you man thank you not the best rounds but I think for Rolo we did a pretty good job yeah it was fun and it's crazy how
