we made it back and today we're playing with Lucas carmichel man he is one of the local kids in the area I call him kid cuz you are how old 17 17 still in high school going to be playing Juniors soon and because of that we just finished up high planes and he took third I took fourth couple Strokes behind him because of that he he gave me some extra money heck yeah I declined the cash um getting ready for junior worlds you know I have to be uh amateur to play that I decided to give uh Anthony a few extra bucks so a few extra he was going to make $1,000 and I was going to make 825 and now I made 975 so I say we put half that on the line today if you beat me you get 75 bucks hey I'm fine with whatever man I'm down with that if I win I won't I want a disc all right that's fine I'll give you whatever out you can have something out of my bag ooh we're playing today at Ultra Disc Golf Park which is at Budweiser like you can literally see the Budweiser up there guys might have seen this on some old coverage we're just going to be playing straight up 18 holes and also talking about why I think he's going to be like one of the future stars of the pro tour just so you get to know him cuz he's chill and cool it's not a crazy interview it's just chill his chances of being on tour very successful are very high yes in the next few years I like the confidence too do off the top yeah like always do you change your bag a lot from tournament bags to just like playing casually um not really I think playing with the same dish you play like in with a tournament is like very crucial I the same feel same everything so I like to keep it the same no stretching I mean that's not bad that's how you know the pro TI needs this is when we just don't stretch just throw it right out of the just hit 1,000 for the first time yeah I hit 1,000 this month actually for the first time ever I've been like 994 like really close but just never gotten over the threshold until and you kept shooting like 1030 1040 right around so what's keeping you below the threshold bro I I don't know man just consistency consistency I know like kills us all so just you know trying to keep it above a th000 is the problem I can shoot 1,000 just keeping it above a th000 is you just to do you sh 102 at high ples right yeah so that'll that'll definitely help me we'll see where we go up to it seem like your floor is getting better oh yeah for sure but I think it's nice cuz like something that you have which is really good is that high ceiling like you shoot the 1030 1040 1050s and that's where like I've been really consistent at like 990 to 1010 but I haven't really shot anything above like 1020s this year and like being able to shoot those hot rounds is what makes me think it's just so good for you in the future yeah for sure just dialing in the consistency is this really 290 yeah maybe a little longer holy cow oh might have crushed it nope just parked it all right just parked it like always I I don't know I expect any less it's cuz he doesn't have a double gamper he does have a split another tester putt he's some warm-ups young man huh his little baby AR I think he's he's trying to bait you guys and not wanting to like watch him throw 600 foot shots cuz you might be the farthest throwing person in Colorado I'm up there it's I mean who would maybe gosage yeah Goss I feel like you throw story with anyone I don't know if anyone can it's if it's physically possible for someone to throw way further than you yeah maybe not way but they definitely throw further than me that's why I moved here just so I could learn how to throw far that's the only reason exactly I think I'm sitting at about 12 ft so you don't want to go too down early I know dude I really need this one actually all but all the big Majors you play amateur obviously Junior worlds will be my last tournament in am so after that I'm looking for any tournament where I could accept cash really um then turning pro but this whole year I've only been playing m locally like Anthony said and then the two majors I've played so far which is USA DDC and it's going to be Juniors those are really the last two harras for me in am so we'll see how that we'll see how juniors go but dude what I didn't watch it what happened at USA dgc cuz you were leading with like four to go yeah it was it was a little rough but um shout out to Ryan M first off he was awesome competitor super guy a super awesome guy but I was leading the whole way uh after round one me and Ryan were tired for the lead and then I had a three stroke lead going into the final round and all the way up until 17 I missed a 20f footer really just shook my confidence and then you know 18 was just 18's a brutal hole so to lose on that hole is a little rough but you know is what it is you got to move on you know I have a major coming up so what's the biggest learning that you took from that experience um I think just learning how to like I I got to learn how to lose before you learn how to win obviously I don't know somebody said that quote that was probably the biggest thing for me is like just learning to be okay with the fact that I lost like learning to get over that and you know I know that feeling now I'm never going to forget that feeling so going and taking that into junior worlds I think it'll be you know very helpful push through those last uh bits of adversity in that round and you know push for the win hopefully World Championship coming soon exactly wow I was a lot further than I thought get up dude I thought you made that play 19 holes trying to give yourself a better chance you got to throw first so you got the box I'm down we won't count it if we get the same score otherwise it will count yeah all right I'm down I'm
