Are THESE Discs ONLY For Beginners?!? Daredevil Discs ONLY [F9]

welcome back to Bonanza disc golf into another episode of new kid in the bag apparently there are airports everywhere that I want to film but today we're going to be taking a look at a lineup from Daredevil discs I'm super intrigued by this because to be honest with you I don't know if I would throw the stabilities of almost any of these discs the way that new kid in the bag works is we're going to play 18 holes at a new course that I've never played before with just these discs from one company that I think is a little bit underrepresented or new to me and we're gonna be playing from the Longs and we're gonna look at the past 30 days and see what a top five score would be if there's less than 50 oh there's been 100 top 10 scores what we're looking for on udisk and top 10 would be 49 which is six down here that is going to be interesting the reason I think this is going to be so interesting is because I'm going to give myself one throw with each of them to see how much I can figure out also it's very windy if you were able to tell and all these discs are a little bit interesting we have the albatross which is 14 6 negative two three I hope this is more overstable than the numbers otherwise I might be screwed we have a Sasquatch 135 negative three one the acapogo right here is nine four or negative 2 5 very weird seemingly overstable but this plastic is the elastic performance plastic and it is floppy I don't normally like that but it shuts it down Timberwolf 96 negative one zero I'm hoping this is those numbers or it just acts very straight but it feels like it's going to be more understable than that the Pteranodon is four six negative two one these are very interesting this seems like it might be like a smaller diameter a little deeper fuse the Plastics don't feel bad they're a little bit more gummy than what I like there's not really any stiff plastic except for maybe this high performance driver but even then you can see it's got a little bit more Flex the main super stiff but it's more stiff around the rim even though this does feel a little sharp feel a little tiny bit of flashing but I'm also going to keep that on hopefully everything will stay a little more overstable next are a couple discs that would feel more familiar these are four four zero two they're the hellbender salamander and the hellbender killer whale this one's a grip performance button approach and this one is a more premium Ultra performance button approach so this one I imagine is going to get a little more skip this one will probably stick which will be nice and then we have a very P2 like disc right here which is the Bighorn 2301 even very similar numbers and it just looks pretty similar to one and then a very floppy elastic performance putter woodchuck two two negative one zero so I'm gonna give myself one throw right out here we're gonna start with the putters though just give one toss each and see how they feel okay that's pretty straight I thought I'd flip up more oh that's a little flippier than it what oh my gosh that is very far all right we don't have enough space to throw these drivers so we're just gonna have to get away with a putt and approach this and Trust the drivers these are flying better than I expected honestly I don't think the salamander and killer whale are inherently more or less premium but that one actually did go farther that's just straight and there's a wind pushing that way so okay these might actually be more stable than the numbers which would make me very happy and the way the giveaways are going to work for these awesome Suggestions by Jack Williams that if we don't hit the score which is gonna be six down in this case then we'll put discs into a bag to give away after we hit five discs in the bag I'm a little nervous for these drivers and the way that that's gonna work which you might have already seen from the Gateway video is that if I lose the challenge you guys will be able to choose one disc to put in the bin via a poll over on the community Tab and if I lose by three or more Strokes you guys will be able to put two into that bag so we'll go ahead and see I'm excited for this course I don't think it'll be too challenging it's par 55 5500 feet let's get on the whole one and see all right so I'm thinking even though I haven't thrown it and luckily this looks like long enough that I might be able to actually throw all my drivers after I actually throw my shot because you know gotta have integrity or something I think we're gonna go Timberwolf 9 6 negative one zero this isn't the flex performance plastic which is a little more flexy than I like I don't know if that's going to make it more or less stable straight at it is a play it's 296 you might barely able to be able to see it we could also just throw the albatross on a big hyzer that's probably the safer play but we don't like safety here we're going Timberwolf oh yeah oh yeah go in the basket for the first shot let's go that was perfect through that super soft dick that thing wanted to go I don't really think we have to worry about what we're putting with here what a way to start off the challenge all right hold two baby I like the Timberwolf that thing was very straight pull two it says it's 271 feet right at that right side Gap I think a forehand play up the left side Gap might be the play there is kind of a hyzer line it's only 275 but I think we're gonna have to throw either a fairway or a driver maybe the albatross man this thing is a little sharp honestly on the edge here so it doesn't feel the most comfortable to hold Sasquatch might be able to hyzer flip I don't think the Timberwolf will stable out enough because there was a Tailwind that helped it to stable that last time so I think we either have to go forehand with the albatross or try to hyzer flip something up that right gap which is much touchier yeah this is a little uncomfortable on the forehand honestly that is much more comfortable foreign that's in the water that driver is so fast I thought it would be like generally fine but it just took off it skipped so hard we'll have a putt to save the par but that is not a good way to start this oh time for the Big Horn to shine no that felt all right that's a little more stable than my peers are so good to realize back to even par shoot at least we parked the first one we know what it feels like to take a birdie we just need six more over the next bunch of holes no Gators no Gators no Gators no Gators so one of the things that you always like to see when you're playing with new discs is a 260 foot water carry with ob behind the basket so this is where I there's not really anything really overstable in here at all the agapogo I don't trust to go 270 feet I probably think this is more of a 250 foot disc especially with how floppy it is I think I could get a putter there I could also get a mid or I could just throw a hyzer either way the drop zone is the red t-pad probably I'm calling it that I think it's gonna have to be the Pteranodon four six negative two one it wasn't quite as flippy as the numbers suggested but if I put it on some hyzer we should be able to get there get there oh that's perfect that's so good Anthony so the reason I threw it on that much hyzer is because the first throw which was into a Tailwind it did not it wasn't as flippy as the numbers would have suggested that it would be and one of the things that you can basically always do to kind of mitigate your speed controller distance or flippiness of the disc is put something on a little more hyzer because that one if it was really negative two one or like fuse like or something with how hard I threw that I think it probably would have flipped up the flat it seems like that was slightly more overstable though which is why I put on that much hyzer because if it was more overstable it might have it still might have gotten there to the left if it was more understable it might have gotten there to the right and since it was kind of neutral stability which is what I thought it was but I wasn't 100 sure I hit my line and it kind of went and sat so we should have another birdie it's a big plus back to one down try not to think about what could have been by having those two birdies or one down let's get five more easy all right hole four here they're calling 306 straight ahead of us there is water over to the right but it doesn't seem like that comes into play too much I will say that these discs for whatever reason they don't seem to go crazy far as far as you'd expect that Timberwolf was a good shot though that's probably my best bet because I don't want to go far past the basket because there's a road back there so probably flat and if that is that negative one zero it should turn and get down there enough with the low ceiling it's kind of actually the grip kind of feels good it's very flexy but it feels kind of good oh that's Flippy that's it that might be in the water but hopefully we stayed safe we can just have a simple upshot in with like a hellbender or something but that was I threw it how I wanted to just was more flippy than I wanted it to be okay it was a much better shot than I thought oh my gosh we actually have a putt this is better edwin-ish nice easy 70 footer too stable not quite I was actually pretty good heart is good part is really good not the end of the world I do like that putter plastic it's pretty nice it is just a little deep for my hands I always feel like I miss releasing it slightly so I don't get my college quite right but it is it does feel more sky God like than regular P2 I don't know maybe p2s are just as deep it feels like a kind of a little bit deeper birdie Marvel I need to see if I'll be able to throw this hole I need to go ask that person I could go out the outside route but I'm gonna go see if I can throw it I think it's probably gonna be woodchuck right at the middle two two negative one one just on a straight shot up the middle if I hit the tree that's on the right it's not the end of the world I still have a far putt just throw it straight should be good I could also Flex a forehand with the hellbender but I think this is probably the best shot for the woodchuck to actually have a shot seems to be understable if I throw it flat so I need to start I need to release on some baby hazards like I have been I think I just released the Timberwolf a little too flat last time all right I asked should be good definitely not nervous that there's a right to left wind super simple shot super short because I'm so nervous but it's okay snucker in there honestly if that was any other putter that was not sitting in the basket because I was so timid when I threw that 362 water to the right I don't know if I have anything that can get this far but we're gonna go for it I think this is the time that we try to rip on that I don't know though because there's that road over there there is a headwind I would go Sasquatch but I think we're gonna go for the albatross not the actual score but gonna have to leave it on a little Flex a little way I'm gonna trust that it's a little more stable than the numbers suggests I have to trust that there is a headwind yes no stay turned don't go in the world hit something oh I hit something and win the road come on when it started turning over I thought it was going to hold that turn and it just came out of it so fast that's definitely not really quite an I get two three but they do call it a 14 speed so that might be why they say that that sucks that hit and went the wrong way hit right up here came right back we're just gonna we can dunk it maybe base plastic hellbender killer whale guy not base grip performance too high sit down that's a good putt birdie Obie that's where I was a little too timid of the OB either side and I ended up just not fully committing and turning that one over as much as I think I should have threw it on a little too much hyzer hit the Gap wasn't initial because of the number suggested but it was as flippy as I thought it was so that was 100 on me bogey one down through six all right baskets right ahead of us it says 296. fish this one I feel like it's gonna be a timber wolf again oh there's a headwind though it's coming straight this way maybe Albatross maybe Sasquatch since it's flippy I think we're gonna go Sasquatch which is interesting 13 5 negative three one or negative five one last thing is just the party line is so low but it's so fast that I think it should flip up a little but never go in the water because I'm not gonna throw it crazy crazy hard I do have to make sure I hit this Gap there's OB all over this course I wonder if people are playing these same things as they'll be on the u-disc but come on this thing feels so big it's very uncomfortable to grip oh that slipped out of my hands because of that dang it the the rim is close it feels like 14 or 15 to be like it is so fast that as I started to pull through even just the speed of that pulling through pulled it off of my finger and it like slipped off hopefully we didn't jump in the water because that would suck but I do think this shot is probably gonna have to be the wood chuck because I can try to throw it in because I do need these birdies and I it's not a crazy thing I get five in the back nine so as long as we mitigate our pars and learn these discs a little bit like learning that I don't think I'm gonna throw the Sasquatch again it's just too big for my little baby hands so we're gonna have to live with just the albatross and Timberwolf in those faster slots and try the or oga oga Pogo something whatever it is woodchuck here try to give it a little run luckily the biggest thing is keeping under the ceiling so I honestly honestly I'm not gonna do that we're gonna go again with the base plastic hellbender because there's that low ceiling I want to make sure that I get around it so we're gonna go a little anhyzer not quite try to throw it in maybe give it a little baby bid great one thing you don't often think about with course management is knowing which holes are the ones to get like this one could be one to get but that's a very tight Gap off of the tee with this I'm not super comfortable with I maybe could have thrown the Timberwolf but I was a little afraid with that headwind they did turn over into the water so I'm not sad about that result you know take my parse I think it's also knowing like in a 360 foot hole with discs distance drivers that I haven't really vetted yet might not be the time to really try to rip into one all this to say like this might be one word one down on the front and then six down on the back is normal so not exactly sure what it is but moving on to the next hole eight here's 325 right there looks like there's OB in front so we have to make sure that we clear this which means I probably want to throw the albatross that thing's a little bit big as well though in the hand I wish there was like a nice 12 speed or something I definitely could get there with a timberwolf that might be my play just on a lot of hyzer kind of like how we threw the mid-range on the other hole feels like the most comfortable disc just gotta leave it up in the air kind of straight at it because if I hide it out early that's still safe so that's really good it's gonna be a little deep probably Maybe not maybe perfect let's go let's go I like that disc when I give it the right amount of hyzer which is a pretty decent bit Park the gun you know we haven't parts are a lot of birdies even throwing this pretty decent couple here and throws a couple bad choices more like is what it feels like or not fully commitments but when we have been committing is this have been doing what I think for the most part all right hole nine here is a tough way to end it looks like 340 feet very straightforward line up this gut and then back to the left there is OB I'm I'm calling all roads and sidewalks OB I think it's a little harsh maybe play a play him as River but I want to make this a little more challenging you know kind of want to go all the way out the straight Gap and then push left but there is water there so I'm thinking I might I mean the straighter it goes that's good so I might just throw the Timberwolf again stand it up on some hyzer 340 might be able to get there might be a little bit of a big ask that was a pretty high hyzer I just threw the albatross I think I could also do it with just throw it the biggest thing I'm worried about is that tree right down the Gap to the right this is just such a fast disc just get out the gap be good yep stable and skip what the did I go I don't have my range on it that might not be 340 because if that's 340 I just threw that 430 feet I don't think that is yeah that one gets such less ground action I think I'm out of bounds long like very long what the heck dude okay so Timberwolf was good it stayed in I actually don't see oh it's not in the road it's under the fence though do I take fence line that seems a little cheap honestly I'm gonna call this a provisional this is how it's looking that's the road this is the fence so I'm gonna call provisional how far is this day that we are okay that makes more sense we're about 370 feet that's the short position which it is not in on new disk apparently we're gonna go ahead and Putt from both positions though oh my gosh that was perfect a little flippier shoot really shoot that sucks this sucks all right well I'm gonna let you guys make that call I'm gonna play it as if it's out of bounds and hopefully just get my five down on the back because we were two down now we're back to one down with the provisional if you guys want to give me that part I would appreciate it but you probably want the discs it doesn't matter I'm about to shoot five down the back anyway so no discs
