BETTER Than the Innova Eagle? Testing ADVANCED Fairway Drivers // Thought Space Votum Review

welcome back to bedanta disc golf into another episode of baguette or Bennett where we review discs we're actually going to do nine holes today instead of the typical about six and we're going to be looking at the thought space Athletics Odom 7503 are the numbers and the main comparison that you guys wanted to see when I asked you over on Instagram was the eagle go follow my Instagram please seven four negative one three honestly this is typically known as a little more overstable both of these I got is Max weight and incomparable Plastics the ethos and Champion but I also have an ethereal right here of the votum just to see if they fly any different today we're at West Creek Park here in Colorado it's a little bit long actually the front nine is what we're gonna be playing the back nine I have a challenge with some disc the foundation disc golf actually sent out to me so subscribe and wait for that but this bag of the minute was patreon sponsored it is not a benefit that I offer anymore but you can go check out what you can get as a part of the sponsor Circle link down in the description including a patron only video once a month which actually just got posted yesterday so if I can't be par with any of these discs they're going to my patreon but shouldn't be that crazy of an issue excited to see how they hold on forehand and backhand especially because the Eagles an iconic disc you know Ken climo Calvin heinberg they just carve up woods with these discs and I mean I have just as much power as a common heinberg I mean come on so we're gonna flip to see who goes first whichever one is the odd man out will throw first and if it's a votum eagle will go second and the last button will go third and it's about him it's uh actually the Ethereal modem well number one here it says it's about 350 to 370 feet depending on if you trust udisk or if you trust this T signs slightly downhill slightly red to the left to right wind so throw them out there flat a little bit to the right of the basket it should fade in do you want to play ahead of me all right if this dude didn't have such a cool dog no chance we let him play through but his dog was wearing goggles so we had to let him play through are nice dude oh that slipped off my finger okay it's good that's not as overstable as I thought good oh bye-bye not bad all right that eagle wasn't as crazy over stable as I thought because from what I remember hearing or thinking is like oh my gosh like I've heard a lot of people say how overstable it is and it might just hold its stability for a while it also is like this is a new end of it and sometimes they run a little bit different than some of the old runs that might be the money runs people are talking about we have pots from a lot but I really did not trust it into that wind the first one was by far the best I don't know they all honestly fly very similar but I did misrelease that eagle slightly so we have eight more holes to see what's up oh this is terrible footing all right get starfish had to make some pots but we'll take it all right hole two par three it says 382. I kind of believe it it's 370 to 380. same order because everything birdied that was sick so we might just want to try to give them a baby Flex because they are we're also the overstable fairways this is like from what I understand a very good mold for Thought space players most of them like it a lot that's money that's 25 feet oh that's so low I'm not releasing that people as well as I am the bottoms it's better awesome almost always it's user error and that's what I'm still attributing those Eagle flights to I will say the votums have a more comfortable shape in my hand I think the eagle feels a little more sharp whereas the volumes feel like rounded off but not like too round I don't know why two times in a row I've not really set Eagle well I'm gonna try to focus in on that throw because I know that people's hand shapes are different and I want to show you how it actually fly if you can throw it and it fits your hands better but just like for my hand shape being a little bit smaller don't really know beyond that how to classify my hands it doesn't feel quite as comfortable which isn't necessarily a bad thing but I mean both modems threw on pretty good lines and are about 18 feet from the basket each okay that's pretty incredible because this is like these are like 370-ish but I also want to give a shout out to thought space buddy who's been on the channel before Thomas Gilbert maybe he doesn't consider me buddy but I enjoyed when he was on his coalesces his control driver just came out 9503 and uh that thing is sweet I bought a couple I played around with it I think it's going to be in my bag for the season support him and it's a really good disc so hole three is dark because we're shooting into the Sun and because of that we're gonna force ourselves to take the forehand line with these it is 320 feet uh so we're gonna throw them try to throw them flat on the forehand uh high enough so that they'll skip up into the hill or not skip until but crash into the hill because this hill does not give you good skips Theory will vote him first I honestly feel like the Ethereal and the ethos fly very similar they might beat in differently that's oftentimes what happens with different Plastics but as they're new or pretty new a lot of difference I've not been throwing a ton of forehands we have I don't know if I'm super consistent at it yet but we'll see what we can do that'll play oh ripped it I think the eagle is torque resistant so we should hope that does that and that's where I really don't prefer forehanding seven speeds or slower I prefer nine speeds up unless it's a touch forehand but having with those max power I feel like I have to hit the nose angle very right and like to get a full flight I have to flex them just right and didn't do it there thank you not great I missed my line a little inside but that is up there for a pot alrighty not the best just a little chip up we gotta land it flat so a little Annie that will slide up and stay on instead of sliding on the hill it always feels great to throw a good shot with the first one because you know it's just a good shot it's not you being warm uphill I I'm starting to aim a little more left on the basket for instance that one I was aiming to you guys if I was here I was aiming right here but it went in right here I notice it tends to leak a little more right than I want especially when I'm in line putting so correcting for that got a birdie I lie a little bit we're not gonna do nine we're actually just gonna do eight because this fourth hole here is 400 feet should be a par three what they call it Par Four but it's over this mound and the basket's like way down there it's a really bad hole in my opinion it's kind of fluky all right hold five 290 feet Mando to the right of that pole so you can't just go straight at it you have to swing something wide and high so this is going to be more of a spike Riser challenge ethereal Voda man this thing is doing work for me dude it just wants to park the basket that's wider I didn't put the ATT High oh anti-skip that's wider too but higher so it's gonna actually get down the hill I think that one's gonna be like 15 feet as well it's maybe 30. they just come out of my hands cleaner not come out of hands cleaner my hands cleaner ready to see a cool putt oh oh man this disc is good all right hole six 285 straight ahead of us there I think this is another one so just try hyzer forehand because that's a good distance for Heiser forehand with this disc I don't have to juice it too hard and I think I'll have enough spin to make the seven speed stay stable I want to push it too wide because it's not going to move too much left to right there was a little bit flat and now it's gonna go in the basket oh my gosh eat those little baby flip up again crashing in a little wider when I put that much higher let's just throw the eagle in yeah Eagle I don't know if it's flashing or what but it's definitely a little more interesting on that room there you go good width yeah all right a little short with all of them very consistent line oh thank you all right hole seven par three one of the only holes in Denver where you have to throw around something not true but more true than you'd want it to be you know we're gonna take the hyzer out low hyzer honestly interesting shot gonna try to do it hard and keep it slightly nose up so it'll get us flare skip back towards the basket we can throw a forehand but I think getting underneath this Branch we don't even have to throw that nose up just as long as we get it close to the height of that Branch but underneath we should be good foreign really not bad that's that's 25 30 feet one thing I forgot to account for there which is a good Learning lesson is when you throw downhill and the nose is down it's making the disc more understable this is going downhill similar to how when you throw uphill it makes it when it hides you out faster or go left faster if you're right-handed backhand player when you're throwing down the hill it's going to be less stable so it's not going to want to move as far to the left so even though this is slightly overstable I in my mind I was like oh I threw the perfect shot but it just kept going straight so a little more hyzer will actually be helpful okay and just like that we are 10 feet closer oh I tried to play the skip on that one and threw it into the ground that was just a bad dumb mistake I'm not a machine these videos are fine I would say eagle versus T-bird might be an interesting comparison because they seem to be similar and I bet it's a lot dependent on the run like this run of eagle that I bought is very domey which I like but I imagine has very similar flight to a lot of different T-Birds a lot of different T-bird threes so that's where it may be something that is like manufactured by an MVP which produces less discs who makes boss basis by the way they produce less this and Innova so they have less out there to be less consistent with and so it might be worth it to check out thought space because there are less Eagles in circulation for their less voting than circulation than Eagles and that might make them more consistent run to run for you so who knows oh next one we got a true par 4. all right hole eight 516 actual Par Four up and to the right there's a manual to the left of this pole otherwise it'd be like a straight 420 or something foot shot this is one that could be good for four hands or we could see how they turn over because one that one thing that's great about overstable this is if you put it high enough with the correct nose angle which means you don't throw any like this you saw Annie like this in your follow through down it'll get the nose angled down out of your hand and since this overstable is going to fight back to flat and get a further disc and hopefully not miss the Mando because if we do we go to a drop zone and then I have to go get the disc and then go back to drop zone that's a lot of walking just like that pretty much exactly what I said except I think I could have given it a little less Annie which is good to know it's not quite as over stable as I thought maybe I was putting too much spin on it if it gets too flat or even starts to flex out that's the back system it's gonna get okay I made it barely barely made it you can call it I missed it but I'm the one with eyes that are here and not a camera sensor so more forward and set it down way better that's the shot we're looking for look at that thing go yeah that might be close to pin High left probably not but it'll give us a way more accessible point to the green one other thing I personally like about Fairway drivers sometimes is that wow this is 180 feet behind the eagle and the Voting is also like 120. that's what I'll show you but I like flicking these with just intentionally focusing on a lot of Spin and not a lot of speed because the spin will keep them in the air and the over stability will help them to kind of get back to the right so I can throw a high to the left of that basket it should fade in as long as I give it the right spin like that that's gonna be about 10 feet again we can do this on the forehand or I kind of like the back end from here it seems a little slightly more accessible oh big yeah then roll oh no we have to make that putt to keep that thing perfect and here I'm just stoked that with the seven speed we have a fully accessible basket meaning we can run the eagle for you no that's so bad that's such a baby run it's parked now but last one I should have just also thrown forehand just nicer to stay straight onto it oh I'm gonna hit something if I go down like that let's go Twisters luck well that's tall it's like a long one it's like almost 400 feet all right our last hole I will say the eagle voting comparison is like flight wise super similar very very similar to this I think this was the right disc for people to recommend me to compare it against I would say that these are definitely more overstable than your typical Explorer strike Athena type disk not the proto-athenas those are more similar to modems but the first runs I think these are really great if you have a faster arm speed and maybe if my arm speeds up more I might gravitate to these more than strikes but I'm a more naturally hyzer player and I've just been compensating for that with a little bit higher reach back today it's one of the things I've been working on and it seems to be working for my distance and accuracy so last hole gotta keep the Ethereal clean this says 400 I'm going to say it's closer to about 380. we're going to throw them on some Annie right at it oh my gosh that is it my Annie game is coming back guys I've been focusing on a higher reach back I'm pretty sure that's inside the circle I ripped over on that one a lot get over the mountain please it's high enough just shanked it grip block did a bit skip okay that's in it that's in this other Circle putt honestly as long as we cut the Ethereal perfect I'm happy and I think we did okay it is not a gimme I thought I was about 15 feet closer man the other two are juice though I do this on a little more nose up unfortunately no dude oh my gosh there we go not up forward play is getting better so unfortunately no giveaways but I'm really happy with how this all turned out I would say the voldem is a good mold to check out if you're interested in thought space stuff but it is probably more on the advanced side of players than the beginner side for sure I'd say maybe look more like in essence or something because it'll fly similar if you're more of a beginner to if you watching me throw this so just to know pleasantly
