Everyone Told Me To Play This Course IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE

welcome back to Bonanza disc golf it has been a minute since we've just done like a solo video but today we're in the van driving back to Colorado and there's a course that everybody who knew that I was going to Kansas City and coming back to Colorado told me that I had to play which is in Hayes Kansas which is honestly kind of the middle of nowhere the original to red baskets it was the first layout on udisk probably the most popular one maybe the oldest one because we haven't just done a chill video in a while also I think every video for the past like two weeks has had people on it which has been a blast but hasn't been just us for a while also just realize that I don't have an Envy in here because I lost two at the Casey wide open which I'm driving from yesterday it is so windy here like ridiculous Red Basket straight down there 320 feet slightly downhill but since we got big Tailwind we're gonna try out the Kevin Kiefer pure good little first shot of the day whoa this is so much wind that's how you throw the first shot of the day I guess baby so I'm heading back to Colorado you guys have already probably seen that video and I'm sure I talk about this a lot but being on the road was awesome and I want to do more of it but it's so much harder to make videos in the van and so financially it's been a little bit of a dream and I thought I'd be making more money being on the road not the case do I ever need a pot now and there's also a lot of training that I'm wanting to do so we're probably going to be in Colorado for the year and hopefully get really confident in my game because now I kind of know the leveling I need to be at I've played with and watched these people throw in person and I have a better idea of like the skill level that I need to get to in order to compete on the pro tour no like number go for today we're just gonna chill have some fun playing disc golf because we haven't done that in a while we've been doing a lot oh it's so bad but I'm excited for what the rest of the year holds honestly like I haven't been settled anywhere for like years because me and my wife lived in the van for a while so it's been like three or four years since I've had like a routine and some settleness so I'm really excited to kind of build that in Colorado and be able to like hopefully make my content a little more subtle and less frantic because I feel pretty frantic yeah it was a Firebird I feel like for the past like two or three weeks it's been so serious like thinking about trying to play in cash this Pro Tour event and now that I don't have any tournaments on the schedule right now don't worry I'm going to add some tournaments throughout the year wow I'm so bad at exposing and I've Loved everybody that's been on the channel and I've enjoyed collabing with like Broderick Josh my trainer Kevin Kiefer like everyone who's been on the channel in the past like month or so but it's also been a little draining for me as a more introverted person and so I feel like foreign playing disc golf right now for the first time in a while even though it's so freaking windy I was like I don't have to perform I feel so proud of the fact that I was able to cash even though it is the weakest silver event it was still a Pro Tour event and I felt like I was able to rise to the occasion hopefully we can do that in Elite event soon or at some point but skip it I'll take a par I'm really interested to throw this in Denver again my back's gonna stay the same because I built it for Denver and for sea level but I mean it's gonna take like a week to relearn everything all right this one's a pump 421 foot par three so much left to right I know a lot of people play two off the top I play two off my first forehand oh yeah it's all right probably like 350 but definitely short not bad we got a nice long jumper step oh that's it oh no oh no that's so far nice little headwind guy whoa we'll take a bogey also I love how this is the basket and that's a t-pad so hopefully don't go long kind of interesting little line because it's kind of right to left we're gonna go you know what we'll keep learning it Ultra I think it's pretty good all right that perception's a little off on that one stay up come on third time stream no it's not all right hole five is like the shortest hole ever that's it the Top's moving it's not a secure basket also putting mode speaking of those I kind of fixed a lot of stuff with my putt this past weekend and shot 100 circle on my last round missed two inside the circle birdie putts both days but I also made zero Circle tube on the whole weekend so we know I gotta work on practice all right I'm pretty sure you can't see it super well but the basket is kind of if you go in between where the swing set these Metals parts are straight through there they called Par Four 443 so if we don't birdie this we're trash but you could say they're about not brooding 130 foot holes well be just big Pharaoh turnover or maybe Echo Destroyer yep oh kind of a Tailwind then it didn't let it turn very much it was moving I'm gonna try the star destroy on a turnover then actually ready to go I thought I smacked it I'm kind of I'm throwing the disc a little farther right now than I have been for a while at parts of my form are coming together better Parts still suck but one more try with this Echo boy yeah hold that oh that might be pin High just a little left okay we're definitely playing the best one here is the Pharaoh okay and then I'm pretty sure I parked it with my second one is that it oh my gosh dude I kind of throwing a little far right now absolute Parco job for eagle and then my echo Destroyer you can see behind the basket it went 80 long 60 long sometimes you know you just like this it says like the distance on the shot and you get to your shot and you're like it wasn't actually that far I was from where you just said my last one landed it said 485 which slowly downhill maybe wouldn't assist it for sure but kind of super stoked on that beautiful Haze Kansas definitely not the middle of nowhere I didn't want to play this but I didn't want to play when it's 100 degrees and 80 billion percent humidity so it's looking like our basket is all the way through here that red one in those trees we have people playing in the playground and t-pad up here we got some good obstacles though because of those people so we're gonna play path and Beyond OB we'll call this little gravel stuff safe but we really don't land in it we're gonna try to pitch a forehand around to that left side grass and then just go another forehand this is part four or five twenty so should be perfect we're gonna keep working with the ultra could just be a little turnover with the pure that I'll probably throw too just for funsies but kind of like that oh it's so short it's not even funny that's what that is respect the Hustle but I just had a couple kids come out to be like hey you want to check out any discs they're only five bucks a piece should I like you want to see how many days I have in the back of my van right now I don't even think of fit in your car how many districts are in my van right now and that's not a good thing or a flex it's just too many discs I will say one of the things about caching this last weekend is it made me very validated and hey I'm going to play up to a high skill level if I'm in that environment you can expect it all the time here but I just feel much more confident in my game and confidence honestly translates to distance like your body can do crazy things when you have a positive mindset sounds woo-woo or whatever but I don't know I used to think it was kind of dumb and then it's just happened more and more for me that it's been that way which is kind of weird I'm really liking my play right now and I know that it's like there's so much more that can improve and so it's just exciting to see like I feel now more than ever like I can be that Pro Tour level player if I want to eventually try to get to a card over the next couple years but this is very validating this past week and I'm hoping to build on that confidence I know it's not been a while it's not even been a year and a half since I played my first round of disc golf and so the cash at that event it feels very solidifying for me for some reason and it takes away a lot of the Imposter syndrome that I felt on having this Channel and putting on a really large goal thank you guys for following the journey much more to come let's go please last 11 holes and stop being Savvy about it I lost my roller heat my ESP scrolling that I've had forever and I just left it in Minnesota on the course like a ding dong I'm so bad at rollers definitely part of the game I gotta work on foreign huh just don't get behind a tree and we'll have an up and down that's the beauty of a super short Par Four baby heads for Spike Kaiser tails for forehand it's by Kaiser Tailwind I definitely know how that's gonna affect this let's go that's also a shot that I need to learn and mostly learn distance is on because that even wasn't the best shot I feel like I always go wide with it instead of punching up through it but well plenty of time to practice because we're not traveling double setting good all right hold nine is somewhere I honestly have no idea I think that should be perfect okay so this water is so close somehow my disc did not roll in because I would not have been able to find it thank goodness also the Red Basket is not I thought honestly I I thought the white basket is where the Red Basket was going to be but it's not that should work got a putt I almost missed it all right 219 to the basket Straight Ahead there probably looks like a drop off a little bit so we're gonna go low with the ultra I'm not just the straight eyes or skip line that should work it's almost always that like you just play one round with the disc that you're like struggling with in your bag and most of this are really good so like I just play one around with this Ultra I'm like okay I feel like I understand you a little bit better now all right we got another one says it's like 140 feet straight ahead but I have no idea where it is hopefully I have a look I have literally no idea where the basket is I looked at it for a couple minutes I couldn't find it Zone Zone birdie oh where is this basket it says up to the right okay this does make it a little harder because it is a straight headwind where the heck is it just around the corner kind of down it's only 350 but it's definitely a forehand shape and I appreciate that they call it a par four very generous left it a little wide but should be great I should have like a 45-foot putt I respected that win too much I'm also loving that these like flat dehisers are still going this distance for me for him oh that's not gonna have any left work push dude and I threw another hazard it's a pretty fun looking one straight through there not a lot of room to put you guys on there so pretty wide angle on it 275 straight ahead of us feeling huge today we're gonna Spike Kaiser why not thank you see that's my problem I throw all my Spike Kaiser super nose up so they just die huh you know what the real play is a little Ultra flexi up the middle it's the middle by the way in case you were wondering that's exactly the middle I was talking about going oh my God that would have been so nasty one thing that definitely didn't help my circle two stats this weekend is that this was the range of a lot of my circle two putts it's okay we'll increase this that's right now did it let's go what a birdie 311 Straight Ahead there slowly downhill we might go ultraflex again this is another thing I want to figure out is like at this 315 foot distance is this still like an ultra style shot it's a left to right wind so to get stability because the Pathfinder that I have right now I have to punch it on a decent bit of hyzer for it to stay straight this one I can put some Flex on and gives it some torque uh there is a low ceiling though so that's kind of the question is 315 low-ish ceiling because firebird's too much disc see if this is just enough looks to be parked honestly it might also just be like when you get really crazy might not be too much just for a flat top Firebird I feel like I can't really throw this thing past like 340 so my like 80 shot kind of like that Ultra probably pretty similar to this guy but a lot more Annie that disc is so crazy oh that disc is so fun pretty solid estimates on these discs because this is the flat top Firebird which had to have been very close to acing it if it just got past it here The Zone and Ultra pretty similar I did throw the Zone harder and through the ultra a little lower I think maybe similar height but nice simple birdie I do think I could push this guy not as far as my pathfinder in my midnight pile too probably out of my mids midnight Pro 2's farthest not only because it's more understable but also it's a little more bladed it's kind of more like a five and a half speed these ones will go over 350 for me right now I think like in an open field that's what I think probably 330 340 range but the shape still gets uh a lot of movement I think we're putting together a pretty good round especially for those couple shooter holes we had let's go baby another little cheater Par Four 410 feet Straight Ahead there no Tailwind Left Right perfect for this this actually probably I did not hit the Gap how's it moving though all right oh my gosh honor perfect oh I love that disc straight skip two might be just outside Circle and the Pharaoh because why not oh man they just keep getting smacked down all right once again if we Eagle it we take the eagle score this is the honor bad putts come on extend buddy all right this is one of the reasons I feel less bad about taking that Eagles because there's another one of these like super short holes that you just can't see the basket off the tee I'm just gonna throw it over the water and land it in balance and hopefully have a putt nice and simple all right surprise me a little circle too look here no even worse oh looks like I got a little under the tunnel shot next bogey all right so right now it looks like we're eight down love to get double digits we get these last two this one you got that low ceiling out the Gap is kind of sneaky so even though it's lower 300s I think we're gonna go five birds like 320. actually it was probably something we could push on a hyza so we're gonna go strike I'm throwing the Scout much kind of have it right up this is kind of a tricky little tee shot oh we put on the basket baby we put it under the basket one more Park shot and we're free and clear baby it's light headwind 300 feet not more than slight headwind the question is are we going with the newly Old Reliable Ultra or a Firebird you know what if we can't get to 10 with the ultra our day was a failure as it is not actually this is a blast oh we did it it's perfect oh a little short a little short headwind held me up baby should have been fibered oh they're both the fibers a little long Potter's been pretty poor today okay I don't see it yet which is probably a good sign honestly a little 20-footer oh little windy 20-footer right back at me nice and easy oh no easy little nine down not bad out here fun course definitely a good way to like break up the trip but now I am so sweaty so I'm probably gonna grab some coffee head back to
