person uh if you look at us so whole 9 we're just filming it cuz it's cool and then we'll actually get started on whole 10 it's the dream hole it's what it's called you can lose your disc in the water long but very pretty some nobody missing every single Beth and Andrew Gibson decided to cut in front of us for practice round so we'll allow it this time but we're angry about it yo little function looks pretty perfect eh he Roman I definely it's a little inside what are your overall thoughts on this course oh boy do I have to be honest yes I don't like it I'm sorry it's very beautiful it's very pretty property but I think the course could use a lot of work to me it's a little overhyped I think it's outdated in terms of like the disc off so they're having to make a lot of safari holes um I'd rather just play the two two different courses the original layouts but I I think if they want to have an Elite Series here you got to have it trimmed up there's a lot of untrimmed branches and Tall Grass it just doesn't look that good looks better by the weekend fun to play and practice hopefully they can make some improvements for the next year I went straight out I know I thought mine was money I might have to just throw like harder not a good spot IL legal babbe I don't know nice's a a very like swoopy motion too it's kind of like which isn't like the worst thing you can improve upon it yeah I don't know I think it could be like a little stiffer okay think you come like really focus on the follow that can help kind of at least get a consistent release F your throwing is like 1020 rounds on Friday feel like that be I'd rather both rounds on Friday this teapad is one of the most iconic teap pads for me because it's the Central Coast disc golf 2014 Super card world's coverage are bleeding Strokes yeah I I personally try to when I try to smoke it it is not good so I try to keep things nice and smooth stay maybe like a little extra acceleration at the end but that's it yeah yeah my my Tempo from like probably I with a driver from like 400 to like 4508 plus stays like relatively the same and then if anything it just like slams through a little harder but it's like still just staying patient and steing back on it but I think staying smooth it's big so you're not running up harder you're just like finishing hard faster it's just still and then if anything it just comes through harder and faster that makes sense cuz that's that was the difference I think with the big thing is keeping keeping the arm behind cuz like if you are like trying to rip it you're just like throwing your arm through if you keep your arm behind and then get the body and then fire the arm you'll get like more speed wait this is go hold dude cut cut the video forand roller function I'm same distance as that low shot was playing aggressive only pays off if you're good enough to do it yeah consistently good yeah shortest shot on the pro tour right now 197 ft looks like someone 4 it is like a shop where like legitimately you almost need to feel like you're throwing it backwards cuz I threw my flip like my roller disc and it still flexed out OB I think this one definitely I'm treating it like a part five seems like it'll probably play like a part five in the tournament especially if it baits people to go for it since it is a par 4 but uh yeah this is a I don't know not my favorite hole ever ever played this is like one of the only holes that I feel like I've gotten toour and been like not able to birdie hey get a good angle of this so I wanted to chat with Bobby because you had a really good season this year especially like your your rate of improvement has been really impressive so what have you been working on to make that happen um I feel like this offseason I really figured out I kind of understood my putt more uh I have a very unique putt it's kind of a push putt um and before it was really just like where I'm starting it out because I have this thing where I come down and my elbow comes in and then I have like a little bit of a pushing Putt and it would always look like I'm swooping way out and so that's just where my natur like naturally my shoulder wanted to go so I just now start it out there and so it's a little more symmetrical and repeatable and that's helped a ton and then yeah really just improving the backhand the forehand just keeps getting better and better every year I play uh naturally putting in work on the backhand keeping the mental game really strong and I've been in airbnbs this year so it's a little easier to eat healthy too so like what did you do you have like a regimen or schedule that you adhere to in the offseason to help you get better or was just kind of train as much as you could uh sleep in coffee go do some field workor for a couple hours usually go throw for anywhere from an hour to two hours no I was actually down Arkansas for the offseason and then go putt after that and then go grab something to eat and then go work out at plant Fitness and get a stretch and then relax and get the mind right and if anything just like sit I do a lot of like form review stuff so even when I'm not throwing I'm looking a lot at my form and just thinking about different ways to Poss get things to feel good in the swing so yeah a good couple of top 10 this season anything that you're looking forward to this year any goal looking forward to the European stretch and heading home here uh for a couple weeks in Iowa before the de Mo challenge favorite event with home crowd uh and goals I've already knocked off a handful of getting above 1025 rated so looking to get hit 10:30 and then just keep setting small goals so top five Podium and a win are on the bucket list for this year the tournament I did beat genon uh I beat I beat the whole crew at uh OTB so that was nice thanks D I appreciate it yeah looked good and then it hid trees okay apparently he said it looked like it was flexing out we told him to wait for us to who I guess someone else told him to throw but the crew in front of us oh cuz there were two groups ahead of us who were still like on the hole oh I didn't I it looked like it flexed waiting for like a long time I know cuz they were they were literally just hanging out over here for like a minute trying to find this yeah Paul and Drew were here and then back to the Fairway how flippy is that disc you're throwing you just kind of R it's it's pretty neutral like if I throw hard flat it will turn but not it'll always like fight a little bit if I give it height we good yep folks there is not a good line good luck I might just might go a little Flex forehead and try to flex through in the Gap that was pretty good yeah y that was as good as I could throwing it oh it'd be a great hole if they they just put it fine 12 ft left of the tree well I think what they could do is there's a pin position up on the path back there they could make it a par
