My TOP 5 DISCS OF 2023!!!

what's up buddy I might want to make this an annual series cuz today I want to go over my top five discs from 2023 not all of them had to come out this year but the the disc that I either enjoyed the most some late editions played the best with or I just like couldn't find a way to keep it out of my bag there are four honorable mentions as well as five discs and we're going to play 18 holes here at bird's nest with those five discs we'll throw the honorable mentions a couple times as well but we will be putting with my pures my putting Putters which in a surprise twist to nobody are not my favorite top five discs from this year since I've been bragging on them a little bit recently but the first one that we're going to be throwing is the Finish Line interval late addition to my bag really only for the last tournament of the year I threw it a couple times before I went and did my backhand boot camp with Drew Gibson and now I've continued to love it cuz it really is similar to a Latitude 64 Grace you guys might have heard me talk about that a little bit in my in the bag we're going to go two off the top I brought duplicates of all my top five we're going to throw the purple one first cuz I always throw this one better that's going to be a little short I put some Flex on it not terrible though it's flatter it's going to be close it's a little short as well skip going to have to remember to throw an antizer today my bag this year didn't really evolve very much and that was pretty intentional but I said I really didn't want to change my bag much if at all and I suck to that I didn't change my bag a single time really mold wise I added in the cd1 which I felt like I was missing that straight 9-speed slot cuz I had the honor which is a little too overstable and the heat which is way too understable my distance increased throughout the season and now in the offseason it's increased even a little bit more you can't tell cuz I decided to just throw hisers with the first two but I'm ready for like a little shake up in the bag but these are the discs that are going to be like the hardest for me to take out of the bag so this is way longer than it needs to be not terrible when Circle ones are feeling bad and you hit metal on Circle two you're not complaining too much I honestly think Finish Line plastic gets overlooked a little bit and I even overlooked it cuz I had thrown like the forge Supra and some other discs maybe it's just the intervals and I've thrown like I've thrown the torque in the rally but something about this Forge plastic in the interval specifically is so money it's like just gummy enough really grips onto my hands well and I feel like I get a really good rip into it every time not that I'm the most consistent at releasing it but I always feel like I throw it decently though it feels like it's easier to throw to my destroyers Birds Nest is a course that I haven't finished a full round at in like months I'll always come and like only play like 10 holes or something for a video but this hole I think is like 250 270 Straight Ahead there we're going to go glitch this disc is so fun it wasn't really in my bag all that much and I don't know if it's going to be my bag next year but if I like figure out a little spinny bid from like some interesting spots especially if I play more wooded golf I think the glitch is one that's going to stay for me I've been absolutely loving this thing we're going to throw my slight more beat up one on a little Hiser flip line oh my first honorable mention though ESP Zone late addition to my bag as well I I had some Z zones never really tried the ESP I ran this run of updated chatter van ESP zones and really liked it not that any of my shots are going to show you a good flight of a disc today but the disc are down there good news is I was actually just like teeing myself up cuz the glitch is such a good throwing disc that now when I throw it in you'll be like ah he was playing for pry that was so smart that he h that treat not bad I think N9 down is the number here that's what I think I'll have to shoot in order to feel pretty good about the round not that I'm too worried about it today just kind of having a fun show around talking a bit about the year but this is a course that you definitely want to be close to double digit now the reason the Zone just made it in as an honorable mention is I really I think it's much more replaceable than the glitch to me I honestly still just haven't found that approach disc for me but in 2022 my first year playing I didn't like it that much and I actually took it out for the Toro cuz it had the plus Rim which made it a little more comfortable to throw but like curved in so really sat in your fingers well then I went back to the zones cuz I was throwing get freakies and I through a zzone with a banana club and now this one well we're not going to be able to see anything on this hole but I still I'm not super sold on it as my Approach disc I used it a lot got me a lot of birdies sa me a lot of strokes but that's why it's an honorable mention for you camera nerds I stopped it all the way up to F22 I'm going to throw these discs you'll see what they are once we get up there I think it's like 305 310 ft up the hill money let's hit the pin midnight prow two baby the midnight prow two to me is such a good mid-range if you get like a stock Neo origin which is just what this disc is it's like the fancy name of the origin but these guys are the meta origin they're the cine Signature Series I throw the midnight prow one and they're way flipp earier these like the perfect amount of Dome and speed that like these I don't feel like are pretty hard to get to that 350t Mark for mids for me big shout out to my buddy Matt who I met at the beginning of this year in Colorado who gave me this one which has been in my bag for a while shout out pooll discol for giving me this one I'm sure that there are some sort of Replacements out there but the way that this thing just gently turns and gently Fades and you can hit it so hard and it'll turn but it's not going to burn on you love this disc also in the comments let me know your top five I'm pretty interested honestly all the ranger team members are going to be putting the weirdest Lone Star disc ever I'm going to be honest I feel like Lone Star catches the most Strays out of like anybody in disc the next thing I love and it was also a recent Edition the sine cd1 specifically the sine I like the SE line on but I think it's going to be too flippy sometimes and sometimes it's too stable the Seine plastic from dis Mania kind of does some weird things to their discs but this sine one came out as a completely different mold like way flipper like this is says 9512 I would say 95 -2.5 1.5 or something like that if we're going a little crazy or maybe 96 it's not crazy d me was pointed out in a comment recently I won this one off my buddy Josh so shout out to that we got it says 480 down the hill slight head we're going to start it on Hiser to the left it's going to drift right and hopefully give ourselves a look this is the one that's been in my bag keep turning no I threw it on too mucher down there though I mean it gets so much distance like this is probably if you told me hey throw a fairway driver 400t maybe this one there we go see like sometimes I think things are too Flippy and I throw them on way too much heer skip in oh my gosh how close can you get to an ace okay let's be real if this disc landed there how close did it have to be to not go in come on I also definitely think that like the max distance disc out of all of these for anybody who'll just like pick up a disc like taking the biggest sample size of people we could is going to be this s is moon it's just like the interval is great but it's definitely going to be stable it's kind of like a slightly beat in Destroyer but this disc it is so fun great layup baby well we'll show an honorable mention glitch will be our actual shot throw the banana Club one so the second honorable mention is going to be this specific Envy I was so close to putting the Envy in here but it feels semi- replaceable for me glitch doesn't most of these don't one of them kind of does like they're closer but this one this semy specifically got perfectly beat in to where it'll almost fly like a proxy but has more stability at slow speeds like look at how straight that thing is it's gorgeous such a good disc like why you even need a proxy when you have that eny cuz it doesn't flip up but don't think about that why is putting so hard right now one down still yeah practicing putting is getting on the docket so the last of my favorite disc of the year we got the interval we got the cd1 we got the midnight P two we got the glitch I was kind of debating this cuz I haven't been throwing this a lot recently but it's the birdie disc offl Supply strike 7502 very neutral seven speeed I also have a color glow one which is slightly more stable but thrown at higher speeds they seem to act more similarly I used to think this one was much more stable when I was throwing less distance and now I feel like they're relatively similar this hole is 390 out there straight away this thing is so neutral that like if I put a touch any on it's going to glide on it for a while but it will get out of it I haven't had this in my bag for too long because about a month and a half ago the one that was in my bag since I first got it from birdie I threw into a lake so that's sad if you ever see it out there in the wild I'd love to get it back at some point but we're just going to see if we can pump this guy 390 down here touch a Hiser like frozen rope dude Frozen rope right at the distance a little bit left that's crazy I didn't even think I got it there that thing just got so much Glide we'll throw a touch of turnover or we'll just throw it dead flat we're just going to race that from our memories I realized that when you're throwing those an you really got to focus on getting it out and snapping it out and I've still been pulling them through so for instance take an interval and throw a little Annie on it I'll snap it out this time and you'll actually see some an eyes around it there you go look at that jeez those things are boosted money hey when you take your full time and you fall through I made a pot two down all right so we pulled out all of my top five discs which to remind you from fastest slowest the interval from Finish Line discs the sine cd1 from dmania the birdie disc gol Supply strike the midnight prow two two from Mania in the MVP glitch we got a couple honorable mentions to go this is whole s we're two down through six we're going interval here and then we do have one honorable mention to look at on this hole that's boosted oh yeah definitely need to to throw it a little more right so it skip up onto it but the honorable mention which you guys might have guessed is the echo Star Destroyer specific specifically this run the Jessica whis echostar Destroyer these things are so many I've had people tell me I need to get royalties on these it's not my Tour series disc like so much Glide they just don't want to get to the ground and I do think like they would be replaceable with something like a pharaoh they were kind of interchangeable so I only bag destroyers pharohs were initially in my bag at the beginning of the season and I switched that out but put some heer on this you'll see the flight of it hopefully a little swoopy but you can see it really stood up Road got close to as far as the interval but if I actually I was thinking about hitting out on the Heiser similar to the anheiser end up just kind of swooping it out instead of really get to that hit point baby fun is I want to see if we can get the Zeta Moon there thing is so money now as you are watching the Flight of the disc it is important to remember if you haven't beened the channel before or it's been a while I'm in Denver so 5200 FT elevation things are going to be flying slightly more stable it's kind of how it seems I think it just kind of sucks the mid-flight out so like those discs while they were turning they would have just paned on that turn a lot more to the right we do have like this slightest headwind kind of coming down the Fairway here you could see but I think we got some pretty good rips the interval I think is exactly pin High just a little left so if I would have thrown it little right we're perfect so here's the Z's moon right here right next to the interval about 10 ft I think that's just a testament to better shot shaping I still haven't seen the Destroyer yet which makes me think it's a little short cuz how sopy the Oh just a little bit left all right all right I don't know if I've bur W this one ever before I always airball this putt y today there we go just a gorgeous sunset over those mountains there but that means no more second shots unless they're the honorable mentions banana Club glitch 300 ft a little short well a little low I mean I'm not going to call it short when it hits the pain pretty much what you want here I've never played this position before select 275 same glitch I think I think that's Circle one that's pretty good glitch doesn't have a lot of fade pretty much did what I wanted there oh my it was left side but I don't deserve that the trampoline action is insane all right three down still we could definitely still get to 10 especially cuz 17's a pretty soft Par Four but come on it would have been really nice to be at four I'm super grateful for disc golf and just getting into it and there's so much joy and just like La in frisbee is it pieces of metal I should probably do that at the basket I guess we got a head one blowing at us and I forgot that I was in Colorado and you're supposed to read the wind here and when you throw a glitch into a headwind it's just going to ride straight or maybe turn over it's never going toer buddy you know if the piers aren't even working why Try glit needs a little bit more Glide maybe making it eight Glide next time got 280 here I'd probably still throw a glitch but it's a little bit of a headwind again so we're going to go midnight prow just real soft T honestly flat kick off the tree wrong way it's an important putt oh man I'm such a baby I'm so afraid of these baskets cuz I think they'll just spit through all the time just hard if it spits through it's a better clip anyways for Content it's always a terrible clip when you cage it pro YouTuber tips right there for you all right got a slight Tailwind 340 feet straight ahead of us there's that straight Gap we're going to show you an honorable mention here finally the last one I'm might to guessed it already I would go midnight prow to but because of the slight Tailwind I honestly think I haven't thrown this guy a lot but we're just going to throw this stable strike the Jacob Curtis Tour series color glow one on like a stall Heiser that's kind of a shot that I like I'm not a big spike Heiser guy cuz I one don't have as much power as I feel like I need a lot of times and it's just a skill that I haven't really taken the time to learn yet well throw a big stall Heiser crash back in we can only miss one more hole to get to nine down I was probably standing in the way but I think I'm parked or maybe a little long last time will mention you have to it the firebird specifically this red Firebird it has been in my bag for so long it's so well seasoned it kicked the honor out of my bag for the offseason cuz it's so well seasoned that it flies like it not flat top Firebird not the biggest fan of that honestly I've used it a couple times and like it's been useful but this disc I don't know if I've thrown it more than any other but it's just so dependable for me you're going to see it's going to be a very similar shot but a little more spiky I'd be surprised if I change from Firebirds this year but everything's open everything's on the table so much more stable and I didn't trust it still Ace it oh good distance really good distance I hit Tre right front of the basket all right I said no seconds but I think I lied we're going to go minute prob two right off the gut butter get some stable I think that's in circle one that is so point and shoot on littlea I was kind of wrong about all these Firebird pin High Tour series Jacob Curtis strike there midnight prow 2 long so apparently if you throw a midnight prow 2 on a touch of Hiser 3 ft off the ground it wants to go 370 ft fire Bird's my new putter official would you going to change any of these for me you think you watched my channel for a while hopefully if you're here otherwise subscribe I appreciate having you no how long you've been here but these nine discs have kind of made my year and if like I could pick nine which I could but I want to do top five cuz that is a bad title like the only thing I'm really missing is an overstable 12 speed but I feel like the firebird goes far enough now that like I feel like with these discs this bag I can go play almost anywhere and have a lot of confidence and I think that's key too is sometimes you don't need all those discs I think it's good to have all the discs that you feel like you need but then it's also good to trust yourself that if you only have two you can still play well whole 13 we're now four down we still have one that we can miss this one I think we're going to go strike definitely could be a mid-range hole but at 355 I just want to kind of put something on Hiser that I know is not going to flip and it's going to kind of come back maybe a little short nope perfect sometimes you know what's helpful is you like shock the muscles a bit you know you're not putting very well you can you just kind of shock them a bit you make the putt they never expected that was coming so like oh I don't have time to be stupid and mess up Anthony's whole life with Miss every putt all righty five down five Vol to go 555 ft par for so it's going to try to give a mass Flex to this interval see if we can't get a good out and out I didn't see it skip I'm never gotten close to those trees that might be oh it's actually farther I got down basically to these trees this hole is a bucketless eagle for me there's like a couple bucketless holes that I have here in Denver hole 17 at this course is also one of them I've talked about it before when I was like talking about it way back when if there's any banza storian out there you can go check it out or like let me know which video it was but I it like felt so Out Of Reach and now seeing how much I still have to work on for it like feels so much more in reached that like I'll be able to birdie this with a pot one day dang shoot now I'm not even a birdie unless they make a long punt I was so lost in the sauce about the eagle it threw away all the percent es that is such a bad P there's no elbow oh my gosh 255 Straight Ahead headwind though I think we're going to power down on this Tour series tou a flex out of the hand yes it always feels good to like power down correctly on on the disc cuz it's so easy to like over torque it or just like have it come out early it's like one of the most underrated rewarding feelings in this golf well this is unfortunate for somebody cuz found some sick Ray bands I'm going I have to put it on like the Facebook group see if anybody lost them maybe it's the guy in front of me but they were just kind of chilling over there they look pretty sick should I be a Shades guy now think I should be a Shades guy that dad had to kind of look like a cop should I be Shades guy oh I should definitely be a Shades guy oh yeah hopefully I can still see enough there oh my gosh I can barely see all right 355 straight ahead I don't like this hole there's like no actual line there's a big forehand over the top that I parked it with once we're going to try the big stall backand no we're screwed we're screwed we can't get to nine I forgot about this hole I forgot how stupid this hole was like there's legit no line here's the strike right at the gut okay now we get lucky did I park it that's so annoying that's so ridiculously annoying that I just said that to myself even what the heck I honestly am guessing that these shades are from the guy in front of me CU When I was walking to that Tad which is across the Fairway I was smelling the disc golf grass so I'm guessing there is I personally I know this makes me an inv dis golfer but I've never partaken of the disc golf grass some of you might be like oh my God you have to you're way too freaking ADHD but I haven't done it so I don't know if you keep your glasses on or off but I would assume you don't smok it enough if we're a Shad on putter money D strikes here that's I guess there is like there's one line and I freaking ped it but it's like it's like almost poking H Hopey but I should think about it as like it's a wood Woods Hole and I have to hit the line all right 17 465 up the hill I can't see it cuz I got shades on you can't see it cuz it's too far where's that guy did he leave I hope he didn't leave he was with the dog where is the the guy on the dog all right well big turnover if I throw a big enough and high enough shot like I did on the last part four we can Eagle it baby come on Shades come on shades finish left I don't think we're putting but chanes Anthony's got the juice honestly we're putting dude like yeah I can throw the glitch in but this is actually like a legit putt flip place for sure I'm never giving these Shades back if I make this I'm definitely not good I don't want to be a thever you know what I mean I missed that for you guys so that you wouldn't think that was lacking Integrity you know looks like these are going to have to go on the Facebook group tonight see if
