REALLY GOOD NEWS!!!

so over this past week I've gotten some really good news that has changed my life as well as life of this channel probably Forever at least for the foreseeable future so I want to talk about that while out here at the beautiful Wonderview disc golf course this will be my third time out the second time will be coming out later than this I actually played a tags match out here Eagles course record here is 14 down which does include the two par fours so it is a par 68 so we're actually only two off the first time we came out here but the PIN positions seem to be in a pretty similar spot so if we shoot 15 I'm taking it baby but first off you might have noticed that out of the past three days before today there have been two days that I haven't posted a video Even though at the beginning of the month I said that I was going to be doing daily videos for the next 365 days I wish it's getting to me I gotta calm down and dailies will still pretty much be happening but that does have to do with this good news we'll explain it all as we play still a lot of lines to learn here I think we're gonna go stable Destroyer on a touch of flex get around that park it that's pretty good so at first glance this news might not sound like oh this is phenomenal news but for me it is some of the best news that I could have gotten because as many of you guys know I'm married I've been married it'll be five years and like nine days from today my life doesn't play disc golf so she hasn't been on the channel and at this point it's kind of funny because she looked up but the answer to this golf at one point and one of the first Search terms is wife that comes up and maybe she'll eventually be on the channel we moved to Denver and when I made the video thanking you guys that I was able to move to Denver it was because we needed to get out of the van we were just like let's move wherever we can and then you guys found the channel not meant that I was making enough money from YouTube from ad revenue from you guys viewing the channel to move basically where we wanted to with the intention that like the channel is going to continue to grow which it is but at slower rate than I anticipated which makes sense from where the market is and so we're still able to afford it here but not super comfortably and kind of having to retain some zero percent interest debt which is fine I don't know how to manage that but we're living probably 85 off of my income which fluctuates because the views fluctuate my ability to create content the topics that I choose those all are a factor in how much money I'm going to make every single month and so we just got news that my wife was offered a job full time with some benefits so my stress levels for making money on this channel are going down significantly there's going to be a lot of changes that are going to come with that so thank you guys so much for the support so far hopefully they'll continue to support as I have some really cool things coming up and I'm excited to talk through how this change is going to affect the channel not in any crazy crazy major ways um maybe just mindset and like because I have so much less Financial stress now because we'll actually be able to get out of debt great start all right perfect ground still intact I promise this isn't the only Mountain course I'm gonna play this is just the closest one and if I'm going to make a video just talking about some news you don't want to see Park style golf you want to see this baby well two is a short little forehand up into the right oh that was interesting ground action I'm sure one of the first questions is like okay now that your wife has a job what's changing volume wise or content-wise and honestly not much is going to be changing because of course I was doing it for the money I think anyone is telling you that they're creating content either not for the hubris or not for the money but like why are you even doing it then of course for fun but like of course that's a part of why I'm making the content and as much as I do I'm also the kind of person who just like I can't slow down and like I don't know how I don't have like slow gears we'll still be posting basically every day sometimes two a days which will be coming up soon which I'll tell you about here let's go let's go that was so not a great putt this bench is literally made out of skis that's that's awesome I said I was gonna be doing daily videos starting August 1st and then I missed these last two days and honestly that's because if you notice so many of my videos were getting up close to midnight past midnight my time they're still getting up but this wasn't really working out for my health so I can work until 3am and then get up at 10 or 11 and start my day but I don't like being on that cycle especially with my wife now getting a normal nine to five job I want to be able to spend time with her obviously so I'm gonna start committing to if I don't start an edit by 7 P.M mine time it's probably not going to get up for the day that's just a time management thing I should be able to still do basically daily videos and I'm gonna still call them that because it's gonna essentially be 365 and 365 because we missed these two days yesterday and three days ago but I'm gonna have doubles on Sunday and either Tuesday or Wednesday at like 9 A.M and then again at like 9 or 10 p.m and they'll both be bangers too they're already planned out I got like the next week and a half plan and it's gonna be sick all right we got a nice Tailwind here 261 feet I've been throwing my strike through this Gap just because I trust it'll get out of it a little faster I pushed it way long yesterday without even throwing it hard Tailwind I think we're gonna throw a Pathfinder this is something that'll be coming out in two days so you can't see it yet oh my gosh I genuinely don't know how that came out so poorly that didn't even feel like that bad of a shot looks like we're focusing up on turnovers today the hyzers are fine turnovers really the goal today is no bogeys because both the last times I played here at bogeed no hey I just rolled a million feet I need to kiss this log so I can definitely understand if you don't think it's daily because 365 and 365. technically you average that's daily but it's not like posting a video every day but like I said I don't want to like oh my like circulating with them or sleep schedule or throw stuff off I like forcing myself to get a video up which is something that I felt like I had to do because this was bringing in almost all the money for my family there's such a small window for that to be caught and honestly one of the great things about my wife moving into this role now means that I can reinvest more meaning potentially more disc and merch drops one coming this Friday and I think I might even like the stamp more than the shattered Advance stamp but also things like more trips being able to invest some more time into some videos and make some of like the bigger projects that I'm wanting to we'll talk through those trips as we talk through what the rest of the year is going to hold honestly first off it's just gonna be a lot more of like what I love to do which recently has been filming tags matches because I like the competitive aspect but also like Mystery Box videos reviews just the things that I know work well that you guys really enjoy watching and the things that I really like doing and kind of where those make but then also doing some more things that like I don't know if they're going to do super well but I feel like I can take the risk now because I think that they will but I don't know 100 if you guys are gonna like it but now I can put it up knowing that all of my livelihood and my family's livelihood isn't on the line with every single video that I put out and that's how it feels it's not how it was but it's how it felt and the thing is for the past basically two months probably a couple weeks before Casey wide open I have not checked my YouTube analytics title and thumbnail them in a way that I think is good I try to put out the best content that I can while I was in the van it was a lot harder and obviously a lot like darker mentally a lot of you guys are noticing like hey she's a lot happier because I am because I left that trip a lot of that was like the financial stress of it was way more expensive to be on the road than I anticipated because I thought I'd be making so much more money but it was harder for me to put out content more people were out playing disc golf instead of watching content and so that was one of the bigger struggles that I had and so now I don't have that I'll probably start looking at my analytics again start responding some more comments but honestly I feel like swinging the pendulum back to where I haven't looked at it for two months is honestly more healthy than looking at it like six times a day like I was so I'm hoping to get back to a heavy medium like maybe once or twice a week I'm looking at stuff but really just enjoying what I'm putting out and not like letting the analytics Drive absolutely everything that I do because I'd let that happen for a while and it built up a good understanding of what you guys want so that was pretty helpful wow this win is coming out and this Pathfinder is far from the basket but I think taking care of your own like mental sanity and health is important that's why I didn't do that yeah just check my like ad Revenue payment from July when I posted like less than half of what I typically do and it was a little more than anticipated so thank you guys so much for continuing to support and watch the videos I'm sure that there's still growth happening because I see my subscriber count rise a little bit every time I post a new video I really appreciate the support no matter what and I'm really excited for what the rest of this year is going to bring oh dang it I'm gonna have to come and just focus on getting the record because every time that I like make one of these videos where I talk to you guys about something I always suck at disc golf all right let's go in order for the rest of the year what stuff can look like here on the channel and what I'm super excited for 260 up and left a little two nose up maybe first up let's just talk through this next week because today obviously this video is going up I'm filming it same day it's going up it's a habit that I've been doing for a long time that I do not want to continue forever we'll get ahead on content here pretty soon we'll have a really fun tags match tomorrow where it's like 30 mile an hour winds and I have to run literally every single Putt and if I don't there's a punishment that is also correlated to the disk drop which is happening on Friday my next stamp solo stamp something that I think will be similar to The Shadow van where I restock it a couple times after it sells out we do some different molds every time that we do restock it and we'll let you know it has something to do with a mustache I'm super pumped about that and then Saturday will be a double header of videos with the disc review as well as another tags match which happened at a newly renovated course where I could only play with a 30 used disk budget of disc that I've literally never thrown before and have to try to win tags we'll have some more mountain videos coming out being filmed later this week that I'm going to try to roll out once one a week or so in the into the mountain series Sunday live video Monday Tuesday and then Wednesday probably actually Tuesday we'll do double header because Wednesday is the start of Worlds so I have a couple of my videos starting on Tuesday and we're gonna try emphasis on try to get most of my uploads around 3 P.M Mountain Standard Time if they do start being around that time just know that I'm ahead on content and be happy for me good thing we drain these putts every single time not every time but this time let's freaking go baby come on also by the way if you're a member of my patreon you get access to the drop a while back you'd know that I was planning on having a tournament basically every week in September instead there's only going to be one eighth here Colorado state championships that way I can just get a little more ahead on the content and like not stress myself out with it especially as I'm going to be working on the Swarm stuff because ratings still are a little important to me but I'm hoping by the start of next year I feel confident enough that I can try to have a little bit of a tour either in the states or maybe you'll receive we'll see I just looked for 30 minutes in the trees because I was like oh I didn't see where that shot came down because I lost it in the sky somehow it missed every single freaking tree and I was like fine I'll go and look over here it spiked in right there how did it Miss everything it's almost been high so even with that little shank It's gotta get a little better I could hopefully Eagle this one one day I'm like kind of surprised if I haven't even gotten close to it yet does not leave me with the easy up and down for the three oh no get left dang yeah I might start trying to throw like even flippier just because like I haven't flipped it too much especially with my nose up and even if I go beyond the road it's much easier to save par from over there than it is to birdie going way less and I honestly don't even remember where I was I think talking about tournaments oh yeah I have one really cool one coming up at the end of November oh October October I'll be able to take some more trips including one in October there'll probably be a little over a week to Lynchburg for the battle for Bedford to play with some big Pros as well as to stay after a little bit to collaborate what's up cool people all right one of the shots that I'm really not great at and would love to get some work on is like really short touchy putter shots backhand and like this I think could be just a really soft little pure like Baseline pure hyzer but instead I think I need to flex The Zone because it's like a higher percentage of the Gap I think but it's like just not the shot stay up and gotta roll snaking it over the edge those are really the major trips that I have planned for now there probably will be some stuff in November December especially as I would love to if it's snowing all the time here get out of the state play some disc golf ask a bunch of content over the course of seven or ten days that way we can mix in a lot of training style stuff with just like some fun new courses and maybe some tournaments over the off season because honestly I think I'm going to try to tour a little bit next year not sure if I can I want to really get good enough but I think this year has taught me a lot about like how to play good disc golf and I've been averaging a thousand my last couple tournaments obviously need to be averaging closer to 10 20 to think that I can be any confident about cashing on the tour but I think a lot of the inconsistency comes from lack of distance and lack of consistency in my throw which have some issues that I know I need to work out and I'm creating a plan for it which is that video that's going to be coming out in a couple Tuesdays from now and then expanding on it for the whole off season this is kind of the flukiest one in the course in my opinion okay this is pretty cool let's hear that in my backswing in a pine cone much better nose angle where I let this go looks like distance driver is a little too much disc I didn't even hit that as hard as I could have but it is good to know because there's another position that's over there that I just know I have to move my aim point a little bit oh great line though oh all righty two down through nine we'd have to birdie out to get the record and also six down is like a thousand rated tears look at all like the past tournaments this is a par four I've been throwing load a high a little bit more I need to make sure that I'm staying a little higher and push it on anhyzer make sure it starts on anhy's on the left side of that Gap and we could be good but I do have some interesting thoughts now that my wife has a job the channel is relatively successful we've been living mostly off of it thank you so much about sponsorships in me like being sponsored by combo so much turn that's the shot I want to get a 400 foot forehand for right there well 450 foot I think if I really got a hold of one I could get a 400 but with the pure 450. okay no oh that was looking so pretty all right if we can't birdie these two easy part fours we're definitely not getting the 14 today lie it's right down here hey living in parsouth today not a bad place to be to be oh my gosh oh my gosh I think I fall on this course more than every other one when it's coming at us with a little bit of a headwind so I think we're gonna forehand the CD One sit down is that either hit and sat or to be in the street let's talk about sponsorships because you guys have heard me talk about sponsorships in the past and how I'd be willing to be sponsored by manufacturer or retailer if the price was right and that price was a little higher than maybe it could be but I've talked to some people in the industry and they said now that you're probably worth generally what you're thinking just based on the channel and the amount of plastic that I can probably move for a company especially retailer just because I almost never point you guys to go anywhere to buy discs because no one's paying me to do so and more recently especially with my wife getting a job this Channel having some growth and then I'm going to be focused a lot more on getting sponsors for videos that are outside of disc golf that are more related to Fitness and other things that I think would go well with things that could benefit you guys but also that I use oh I did I didn't hit the bottom of this whoa that's wow I didn't think is that close oh it's kind of kind of be a comebacker well that's gonna be a comeback holy crap so honestly right now obviously I'm open to offers and uh talking with companies but I don't really know if I'm super interested in being sponsored for the next year maybe 2025 I'm really enjoying not having to do anything for anybody else but just when I want to and that's even now greater because my wife's gotten this job and it's changed completely my mindset or has helped like a mindset that I've wanted to be in for a long time I feel like I finally can be and we'll talk about that in the next level you guys are getting nailed thank you Boogie bill I don't know if you've been able to see the bask off the tea before but it's right through there 500 feet down the hill into a head I feel like the mindset that I've been approaching producing a lot of my content obviously not all of it has been what I like to call the scared City mindset if you've been around like development literature before you've probably heard about scarcity versus abundance mindset we're gonna try the forehand one more time I've shanked it both times it's right to left wind we're gonna put it flat we're gonna actually nail the shot because if we don't I don't know if I'm ever throwing the forehand again yes yes well it flipped no way oh gosh hit a house I think that might have gotten saved by the telephone wires because that was gonna I was gonna go in hit that building that's down there I'm just kind of stoked that I actually through the forehand exactly how I'm gonna throw it did not think it was gonna flip though the idea of scarcity from what I understand is basically that you do things from a mindset that there isn't enough for everybody and so you have to get yours it's a little bit more of like a jealousy based thing did I almost park it after hitting that oh my gosh I cannot believe that this is here it literally hit the wires it would have it would have actually gone over that building that building's pretty close and basically the abundance mindset is that there's enough for everybody and everybody can get theirs and like you're not really fighting against everyone yeah they're like is competition in business but operating out of scarcity or what I like to call scared City because I was adding an element of fear even on top of having a scarcity mindset of like I have to get mine I'm afraid that if I can't my whole life is going to fall apart immediately and so now that I'm not having to bring in all of the income in our family makes it so much easier for me he's a Target holy crap makes it a lot easier for me to just enjoy creating content know that I'll get mine and everyone else will get theirs and I just have to do what I love and make the best content that I can not out of a place of fear which I think came across in my content when I was on the road for that last probably three or four weeks it wasn't as fun because I was like operating from scarcity I need to make money and I can't get videos up and I don't feel like my videos are great and I'm still trying for this tournament whereas now of course I still like making money and want to increase my income but it'll be from a much better place which I think will make it a lot easier oh I hit the little postie it's a new stamp I'm just saying forget about the first shot in this video just think about that one so I'm super pumped to be able to do that now and that's also one of the reasons why I didn't post those videos the last couple days because it got really late and I could have stayed up and done it but I have been filming all day so I have a couple videos in reserve I was like I don't have the fear of I have to put this up otherwise I'm not going to get mine but I feel like my content will be a little bit less erratic which I think will come across in the content this is ability of Pathfinder is exactly the stability that I wanted I picked them up and I felt like they might be a little flippier than I wanted and then I started throwing I was like oh nope that's exactly what I want similar to the ethos Pathfinders that was throwing at Casey wide open I got a little too flippy on me another bird finally 3 30 wins kind of pushing up I think we're gonna go honor miss it thinks pretty good this is three times in a row that I've underestimated just how left or like back up onto this hill you need to get this shot yes just high enough for the drop one of the biggest wins from all this is I feel like I have now a healthier relationship with creating content and therefore a healthier relationship with you guys as the audience who watch my videos I get to treat this more like a job rather than my whole entire life that like consumes every waking moment and thought that I have because I feel like if it falls apart we can't continue to live in Denver because we were like very close on a lot of months unlike making enough money and we had to have a lot of debt because we moved and then like some disrupts and stuff it'll all be cleared relatively soon with my wife's job which is really nice and so I feel like that just creates a healthy relationship with everything because I don't feel financially super stressed I like sharing this stuff with you guys I know most others like channels does not like to expectation but my whole other YouTube channel before I had this was about like personal finance and that type of stuff and I just I don't have any like shame in the vulnerability of it and so I feel like it's helpful to share get around that tree yeah sit now we gotta look I thought the tail I want to drop it more just enough all right 16 we're facing up a headwind straight into hit I think we're gonna go my flippier Pier perfect I think that's really good solid little drive here should not have been that lazy with that it's a little turkey it's a little turkey no it's a little quad jerky really bad shot still need to put a little Flex on it now one of the questions that you guys have been asking or did ask after I captured the Casey wide open was like what's the next goal I don't think any of us including myself maybe some of you guys because you guys have like some crazy belief in me sometimes they'll tell me about and then like I'll start to believe in myself again so thank you but I don't know if anyone believed that I would cash at a Pro Tour event so soon of course it's only a silver so like next logical step is Cash again Elite event as well as winning any MPL tournament but to get to those Elite events you need to play some really good disco that's gonna really inform a lot of my off season training this year which is honestly starting this week even though I still have three tournaments left throughout the rest of this year and it's going to be largely based around Fitness and different thoughts that I've been having that I think are underlooked in the professional scene and in the coaching scene based on my understanding of them which I just won dude who's done internet research seems to make sense as a reason that is really hindering my distance and consistency and physicality I'll be exploring a lot of that this off season and bringing along that Journey a little bit but probably like intermittently as I feel like I finalize and figure some stuff out because I'm kind of treating myself as the guinea pig of this I think it could be the next step in helping uh amateurs get to be professional and for professionals get to be phenomenal at this golf let's especially if you started later like I did when I was basically 24 like two weeks away from it stay up I'm a little baby yeah please flip it's full Cindy's time baby a little Tailwind and I really want to cut out that I said it was full Cindy's time before I shot that shot but sometimes you need to put some stuff on the internet that can humble you for life you know what I mean I think at times I get a little too worried about ground action on my throws instead of just thinking about hitting the line especially like this like if I'm not even good at hitting the line I shouldn't be thinking about hitting the line and the ground action I should just be thinking about hitting a line and let the ground action fall where it may maybe I get unlucky best disc golf at least I hit the line whereas right now I focus on the ground action way more than hitting the line sometimes I can't believe this is the first time I've ever had that realization oh my gosh I've played this whole collectively two over par through the three times I played it and it is the most dinkiest little hole now we can't get even close to 10. all right 290 straight ahead just haven't fully figured this one out right now I'm just liking through a hard hyzer with something neutral kind of right at it and hopefully it filters through I did that with the strike it was fine so do it strike again and hopefully park it that'll work I think this was a great example of thinking about hitting the line and letting ground action or trees or whatever come about as they may all right hold 20 they moved into a less aceable position you really gotta like Flex something through that Gap get a banana Club Ace first ever Maybe drop drop drop oh I also need to do the fitness stuff just so I'm not panting as much on this video so you just keep hearing sorry oh my gosh and because it makes me rush and make my putts nice I'm trying to give you the most view that you can the basket is down there into the left we're gonna be taking off from this d-pad either of them apparently works only 240. a little bit of Rights left I think we're just gonna go Zone just the high hyzer oh no don't skip that skipped I'm screwed if it didn't I just circle really focus up make it so we don't have to make the last one but we can right to left wood now we're at six let's get to seven not a terrible round but really not good not great but there's still a long way to go to get to that like touring Pro level and consistency and I think these videos have helped me get to where I am but in a way I've also hindered because I felt like I've had to get them up so I'm excited to now feel less like I have to get something up all the time that everyone has to love instead I can focus on like things that'll benefit my game more the percentage of the time as well as creating content because this is my job and I love it and I love being able to make all these videos but 365 and 365 still gonna be a thing I'm going to keep calling it daily at least once I get those two days up which should be Sunday and Tuesday or Saturday and Tuesday one of the thoughts that I had was about like my personality and stuff and how I've obviously been very authentic like I can't turn like my personality off in these videos but in a way like I've been much more worried about like what people think of me because I need people like me to make money you know like that's just kind of the nature of being a content creator like people need to like you or get value from your videos which is a form of liking oh my gosh this dog is so cute hey buddy hey come here yeah and so um and I've been like worried about people liking me it's like I have been who I am but it's been like I've had like dress about who I am which it's not ideal so I'm excited to not a lot is going to change except for like me being able to more fully Embrace who I am because I don't feel as like financially tied to people liking me even though it is the case I feel less of it because I need to make less money which is a win so nothing should change in that front it was just something that I thought of that I think is a reality that might not be talked about a lot but it is definitely it was a pleasure have a good round 282. up the hill hit the Gap and a long conversation break no dude that's the first time I missed the gap on this hole all right that's what happens when you ice Yourself by having a 20 minute conversation about form stuff no shanked it huh wow no oh wow up ending with a bogey that is so sad makes you want to come back for more you know if you haven't subscribed yet and you want to
