"The New MVP Watt is Just a Faster Glitch" PUT TO THE TEST

so is the watt just the two-speed glitch I really thought that it was all just marketing hunt yes and no welcome back to Bonanza disc golf today we have one of MVP's new releases the Watt and Simon lozat said that disc is so freaking neutral it's insane and I've heard from a lot of people who are talking about it as if this was just a max weight glitch so we're going to be comparing the glitch to the watt today at 13 holes here at Riverfront Park and just kind of seeing what this guy flies like because the profiles are slightly different so when we're looking at them on the side you can see the glitch is a little bit deeper ever so slightly and I think a lot of that's because like the glitch Rim if you just kind of curved it in a bit seems to be pretty similar to what you get from the watt I want this feel like it's got a little micro bead on it and I don't know if that's just because that's where like the overmold stops and this comes in but it honestly feels a little bit more comfortable in the hands to throw than the glitch does probably because this feels like a more typical putter which would be your two speed compared to this which is definitely a one-speed kind of lid style disc hole number one here is going to be kind of perfect for these this little turnover I think I'm pretty comfortable with the glitch I'll throw this guy first just don't want to juice it too much and then I'm very interested to see if like the watt handles more torque if it has more fade yeah I'm very intrigued first shot oh just parked dang my throat pretty similar see it flies a little farther it's two five negative point five point five why don't you just make it two five zero zero I don't know definitely feels like it's coming out faster another good shot it does feel like it's coming off faster though it feels like a two-speed than a one and then this is Joshy boy he doesn't have a mic today because my other one's dead I've never worn like a polo to play disc golf before this is one of the new like Flippy ones they're not sponsoring the video I was just like wearing it because it's comfortable come on what let's go birdie birdie as it should be on a 200 foot turnover if you guys have been watching for a while and know my bag you know that right now like the glitch is an option for what I bag had it in my bag at the beginning of the year similar to The Zone OS but neither of them have seen a single tournament with me and I don't know if they ever will but I think slow Putters are kind of an important part of the game that I don't really have in my bag right now this one's 269 up into the right beautiful little turnover with both of these guys slow Putters I think are great for driving but also more so approaching like I have envies and peers right now which are some of the furthest flying Putters on the market and so I really have to be a little touchy with them which I think you can be in like that's a part of your game that you should develop but with something that's a little bit slower like a watt like a glitch doesn't want to go that far as easily as something like a three-speed putter will which is like a super minuscule difference to some people but I definitely have seen it put it on there probably a touch of Annie because both of these have a little stability they just kind of Hold the Line they're kind of like the Mako three of one and two speeds yeah see that was a little hyzer just kind of held it okay remember how to throw some anhyzer these are both Neutron by the way yeah just that slow drift should be inside the circle might be a little short through it a little low there's something a little more comfortable holding a max weight disc but after these first two throws similar stability I wouldn't say it's glitch like though maybe just that just circle glitches in there as well I mean I just threw it low and that's the difference I think between a two and a three speed it just is about how high you need to throw it to get the full distance of the flight the faster the speed of the disc the lower you can throw it to get a lot of distance out of it because it's moving through the air faster that was a really really ugly looking boat oh dang very surprised that like how much late turn this still had in it I was expecting it to fade out faster so the reason I brought this glitch instead of the ones that you guys have seen all the time is that this is pretty much new I've thrown it a couple times and so I wanted to compare new to new because the glitch that I've been throwing all over the place that I have an ace on it's pretty beaten like that last shot it would have definitely flipped up and we're back to the right 331 feet all the way back there try to throw something hard and flat and high the key with these is to get the height right which I think is one of the reasons these are so good get them to fly you need to throw those down but you also need to throw a high and a nose down high Heiser and Highs are flat shot is how you get major distance with max distance discs as well yeah just that late drift probably a little short but pretty solid shot oh rip it into the grandma don't you we'll count it as a part that's easy upshot I felt like I could torque more on this instead of the glitch because the glitch teaches I think the glitch is like a really good teacher looks like really touch shots there we go it's a little bit better still too much on it similar it seems like a very similar flight the birdie at the glitch I'm interested to see this getting kind of versus a little bit of a proxy I think Josh might actually have a proxy right now this one is kind of up into the left looks like just about 200 feet again I think we're gonna just see how they float on a hyzer and push on that hyzer without flipping up should be perfect try that same shot see how Gladius stays wow okay it's a little short but similar is shots can't throw your proxy real fast this is the proxy three three negative one 0.5 definitely feels a little bit fatter okay it's got a little more dump at the Glide whereas those ones just kind of glide on whatever angle I might try to throw this a couple more times but I've never thrown a proxy until that all right glitch and procs are next to each other what I definitely threw a little softer man I can't putt that thing right now and it's not it's not the this fault I'm just sucking with it see we'll say to pot surprisingly the watt feels way better than the glitch does like like I feel like if it wasn't micro beaded or it didn't have what it doesn't even look like a microbead it just looks like a kind of a bit of a lip I feel like it'd be more comfortable if it was just fully rounded but I'm also just like being real lazy with my butt sorry just stood to the right all right this one's kind of down that tunnel to the right surprised at how little fade the wall has for being a little faster than a glitch I'm surprised that it seems to be pretty similar oh yeah I really really thought that was bad and was gonna fade out but it seems to have the same like it just wants to hold whatever line you throw on it's so neutral all right I'm gonna be honest I feel a little lied too just into the right I thought that it was like straight down that Gap it's not up to the left so I would have thrown a push-up hyzer well we got to see the turnovers which is helpful that's how you get it chained high in 30 long finally committed to a putt jeez are you in the tree that's what happens when you throw a proxy guys instead of a water glitch oh my gosh that's kind of impressive honestly yeah goodbye goodbye all right here's another good example we added kind of the proxy to the mix and if you look at them side by side here you can definitely see the width of the glitch is smaller than that of the watt which is smaller than that of the proxy showing kind of one two three speed the rim size isn't the only determining Factor but for their rim size I feel like they're similar bluntness which also affects the speed just kind of interesting that you got the one two and three speed it depends on how bad these are if they're good and like good comparisons and maybe with those proxy too oh yeah it's hard to be touchy try with the Watt a little flip up that one was better Juiced yeah let me try the proxy now I feel like this is also a testament to speed and like weight it's gonna be a little bit more torque resistant it's parked it almost oh one two three four speed baby no Ace it how do you feel by yourself all right we're gonna try to make up for a little bit with this guy I think I tried to just throw it too much like a power forehand instead of a touchy guy so you're just gonna okay easy part so unfortunately got to put that I picked it up but you made it that was sick oh my gosh yeah maybe he does like 3.5s man like this is negative point five point five literally should just be zero zero like this is zero zero I don't know why it wouldn't be I think numbers are scientific facts you're right flight numbers are scientific fact not enough right or up it's a good shot though and now the Watt so short here's the what proxy sucks Watts Hawks at least what's important to seeing them being thrown and I feel like we got some pretty good sample size so far we've still got plenty of holes left honest I'm a little bit of a skip shot kind of in between that little Gap there between those trees yeah I'm really throwing these crazy heart I don't think we still need to throw them that hard but just kind of get a little Skippy not bad I always forget though that the straight or understable discs aren't going to skip on that line they're going to step and go straight in the air instead of finish so a lot a little more hyzer and again like skip straight instead of skipping on the hyzer but decent shot I think it's a little long nice again straight skip can't be calling CTP before you see where all the discs are man okay here's the thing I've been doing like my own putt I need to do the spinnies for Simon I need to just not suck that's all it is that's all today you don't have to put when you're six feet away though all right Jess just called this one the dumb position way up into the right 250 feet looks like the play with these guys is going to be an anhyzer through this first Gap kind of a little high so it kind of just Glides back down there probably we'll have to get a little lucky but why has the Box that seems really good the glitch a little inside that was a little more anhyzer than I meant to put on it so I did a little pirouette you know okay yeah you even gotta roll your soldiers back for those ones yeah I feel like whenever I'm tired and lazy this is more of the lazy than tired you just kind of start in a hunch position it's not composure anyways but still Jake it's a little Calvin heinberg it was Shanghai at least now we have a different problem which is being super left but at least it's birdie geez that's my Thug Trader baby what type of movement is that Josh is that a good movement you think yeah it's a good practicing and getting here get your hips engaged yeah wow wow my sweep is incredible I keep thinking I need to put this on Annie nope just like I just need to suggest it goes on Anheuser similar to The Glitch and it should go out there yeah man it's so neutral going basket oh I don't want to get up and look in case I've locked it but oh man now it had to be inches always player two but you didn't it's almost flare too you guys might not have heard that a microphone you support the other way but he's like that's how you know I'm an athlete you make the correction I like that I'm gonna start thinking about that a little more thank you hole 11 part three three to go don't know what the score is but I'm pretty sure the wad is winning right now as I've gotten more used to it it feels more like a putter to me as I'm throwing it still super neutral I like the fact that it doesn't have as much Glide because it feels a little more controllable or as the glitch nice that it hasn't much Glide for a lot of shots after watching Anthony Anthony throw it Anthony Anthony this is a fancy version uh after you're watching him throw I feel like the the watt has a more controllable Glide to it less Glide but a more controllable Glide whereas I feel like the glitch that Glide at times can get away from you a good shot can all of a sudden catch an excess amount of Glide and just go way way away from you so oh dude come on oh get so oh that's the Gap baby I think this is one of the most interesting scenarios where I feel like at similar stability of discs it's easier to get the glitch somewhere than the watt like distance wise I feel like I'm having to throw the watt a little harder with a little more like to get the same distances as the glitch and there's very very similar stabilities I would expect that if you had like a nine speed that was overstable and a seven speed that was understable you can get the slower speed disc to a similar distance easier because of stability but these are similar stability I think the glitch just has that extra little bit of Glide and it makes it easier to get the distance but a little bit less reliable it's just harder to keep it on the correct line how many times am I going to hit the cage with the glitch I think this also might be like because of the distances we're throwing this like if I'm trying to throw both of these 330 feet it's probably a little less effort to get the lot there and more consistent thing even though we did have that 330 foot hole and I almost parked with a glitch and shanked it with the watt two times I feel like this will go like to its max distance easier but this will go to like the middle distances maybe up to like 75 of the max distance easier just maybe a little less reliably I don't know if any of that makes sense but that's kind of what I feel is a lot of the Nuance of like this being a max weight glitch versus this thing yeah just 400 in your Zone baby go in oh these ones are gonna be a little funky on actually we're not we're just gonna throw a slight I really like these Anheuser turnovers slow down a lot as they get close to the basket that way we can give it a little bit of a bid but hopefully also keep it close oh wow I was definitely expecting a little bit of stability way before the end there not a terrible shot but Too Short just parked it hey it's as close to proxy so I think what's interesting about this water over here is I threw it like intentionally a little nose up because I know that like when it snows up it's gonna start to fade a little faster and it still didn't want to fade so if the glitch is one seven zero zero I would give the watt two five zero zero or maybe two 5.5 if we want to be really MVP and get some random 0.5 number in there oh wow I'm really glad I'm like taking a week off I can like practice putting our last hole hole 13 it's by the water 500 feet Par Four oh it's just both these probably gonna be a little higher because I will expect the one that hit them really hard to pop up hopefully we get some birdies to end it I I don't know where this would fit in someone's game honestly maybe this is like hey you want a glitch but I think a part of what's I really don't know because part of what you want the goods for is like that really slow speed floaty bids from about 100 feet which I don't feel like this is nearly as good at because it's not quite as glidy who knows gonna give them a rip what still in the hospital is the Box because I can't pop for 15 feet from the Glitch foreign I mean it's flipping the whole way I'll try to throw the same amount of hyzer and just kind of see it's gonna be hard up and down a little higher okay it is shorter all right now these guys are meant for these up shots to slant it softly into the right oh I thought I made that of course came on hyzer that's my body correcting to an actually a good shot that feels more like a disc than the glitch does my Glitz Juiced it I thought I made it oh it's all the way down the hill why is that the first pot that I make with that thing I guess I just want to end it on some birdies so is the watt just the two-speed glitch yes and no so I really thought that it was all just marketing and I think that for a lot of reasons it is because people don't really think oh the glitch is so good because it's such a neutral stability disc they love the glitch because of how glidy it is how to catch this kind of a hybrid and how slow it is so you can get some soft bits to the basket this is very similar to the glitch in that it's super neutral also should I think in my opinion be zero zero instead of negative point five point five whatever the heck that means just kind of holds whatever line you put on but it's definitely not as glidy as the glitch it doesn't want to stay in the air nearly as much as the glitch does like this isn't a disc that I pull out to like throw with my buddies because it feels more like a golf disc than the glitch does I'd say for all the reasons that people love the glitch the watt is not the glitch at least like recreationally for people who want to throw this disc this is pretty similar but I don't know if it's anything special in terms of neutral Putters I think it's genius that they're kind of marketing it after the glitch and talking about it because I think they have the same core yeah because from what I remember they have the core and the overmold I'm pretty sure this is the same core as the glitch the overmold is just slightly more beveled so it makes it feel a little more shallow it's not on folino but I do think that it's a good disc I don't know how many people are going to want to back it but I think that if you wanted that neutral putter a good option like a lot of other disc on the market if you like these style of
