They Put a Disc Golf Course IN A GHOST TOWN?!?

today I want to take you guys to one of the most unique courses I've ever even heard of it's called Ghost Town disc golf course it's about an hour and some change away from me in Colorado here it's a $10 pay to play 20 holes looks like we're all locked up here pretty little area here it does seem like it's a little bit of of ghosty boys we are getting here a little bit late here's the green SE box and I've heard if you're here after dark and I heard I mean made up the ghosts are going to make you bogey a couple times so I'm really pumped to play this and I'm intrigued to see why it's called ghost town I've seen there are some abandoned buildings around here in this area one sign coming in said that the town that we drove through was the richest square mile in the world interesting claim it's probably cuz there were a billion casinos you had to drive by I think we're at about 8,500 FT elevation not even taking a bag I just need five discs all of which Super coincidentally you can buy over on infinite in the first l in the description but we're going to play with my uh banza blend UV glow Marvels a PMW swing stamped A2 cuz some of those a Mana as well flippy mid-range my Sphinx which the run two has come out if you're a retailer they're officially available for wholesale and if you just want to snag one if you look for this it's not different except for that honestly some cool colors that have come out from this run and then lastly one of my favorite discs a Roman from the PW swing samp as well hello it's the ghost of sales Future these are actually mostly on sale right now I'll leave them Linked In the description as well as infinite's main sale which is a lot of stuff for really cheap how far in part you think I should shoot today there's 20 holes and it's very windy 15 we'll aim for five this is so like semi- apocalyptic I love it Merry Christmas by the way some single chain baskets where do we even go for a whole one oh it's up even more we start up on the mountain we're not going to be too too loud today cuz there are some neighbors close by this is the backdrop of the first hole oh my gosh this looks like it's going to be pretty tough I do like these style baskets we playing on whole ones 70 ft traffic getting up here was so bad so hopefully we don't suck too bad the reason we're only taking these this there's I doubt we'll even have to throw my faway as much cuz I don't think the think the longest hole is like 340 to off the top big headwin we'll throw Mana first it's impressive that's why we play to off the top Marvel come on oh no this is really unique so far it does feel a little more built up than a lot of other Mountain courses you see like the rock piles up here all the other Mountain courses I played have been like hey it's nature it's mountainy this one is started off being really unique so far here's our lie I think name of the game today is going to be minimizing bogis and hopefully not warping discs no it uhoh minimizing bogy starting on all number two plus one 500 is going to come easy dude I'm interested your guys thoughts on these baskets cuz they seem to be where the chains are bigger at the top than the cages at the bottom wasn't a good putt wasn't centered at all but to looks like got a 200t dog leg up the hill there a lot of OB there's a lot of OB here he wa the basket's way up there like got thr High I think the play is almost over the trees 82 come on win push it that could be very OB I'm going to play a provisional from there I don't know if I was given enough credit to this course or it being a lot of 200 foot shots if it's going to start off like these first couple I'm going to start off not playing too great got an AMT on hole too I do like using the discs oh I think I'm like for sure OB be this could turn into one of the worst rounds on the channel if I'm not careful no need for the provisional cuz look where we landed in the tree just safe in front of this tree that is so nice that OB is this line and we're like barely safe right here what do I even do from here now little Mana pit oh my gosh so many Jes I wonder if there's ever been any tournaments up here I do doubt it honestly two holes in I don't know how many people would be signing up to get a rated round out here I'm just glad we're not starting out bogy bogy bring this C K getting chewed up I don't know how okay I am with that with the Roman but I'll pretend for the sake of today's video that I'm okay with it all right holy cow 240 ft whole three I don't see anything about obz so that's nice looks like it's should be straight no okay through the Gap and then to the right we need a little skip though so we have to air it over some rocks that could hurt my beautiful 500 Spectrum A2 nice skip yeah oh maybe a little inside might have finally given us a put though as long as your expectations when you come to Mountain courses is that you're there to have a good time and kind of if you think about the essence of Colorado disc golf you probably have some uh Recreation activities in your mind I do not partake but if you get yourself into the head space of somebody who would be partaking in those and playing this golf and having fun you probably enjoy yourself a little bit more than if you're trying to really score and kill it out here my wife's 1500 prediction she's expecting a little much out of me looks like there was OB on this side very grateful not to have found it the good news about all the Rocks is they kick you right back to the basket when you shank a putt I'm still waiting on the ghost town part I think we saw it a little bit on hole one with like that W that little built out Rock area I'm hoping we get to play through some buildings oh we kind of see it a little here I like that that's the plus one shed if you get into that truck camper Auto boogey okay hole four long 314 I think the udus layout has this playing hole three and or hole four long and short for some reason oh it's cuz it's two completely different holes this is whole four long from this te to that basket and short is from here to there so I think we'll have an Aon on the short which is that axium light and hopefully we can find a birdie here this is 100% the most unique Mountain course I've played so far it kind of reminds me a little bit of the secondary course that's on the property of flying armadillo down in Texas which is that like Ace race Dino course okay baskets way down there and I'm reading some signs here that all these little dry ponds are a penalty stroke I like how this course doesn't just like set you a course and is like make your own rules it it's very specific and has a lot of signage and a lot of like like you see old rusty like shovel you think like old miners like ghost town and I feel like that's kind of what it felt like driving in here a little the Roman just get it over the trees okay that's so weak I was so scared oh no I might be in the fake water this course has some character everyone recommended it to me no one really warns you about how crazy like the OB and all the signage is that being said let's let's get our first Little Mountain Ace here oh baby come on oh I thought I drilled that with the A2 I think we finally got a birdie though as long as I don't wait is there o be really far wait I think I sat wow that's lucky I didn't quite realize that OB is right next to the basket there so you're forehand in that at OB but I hit it close enough that I bounced to safe glad I didn't have to put on this basket definitely need something more overstable here whoa windage hello got a nice long one you know seem to be dial with this one let's just throw this in look how dialed we are isn't that crazy oh my gosh I didn't even realize there's more OB behind this I really like how much OB they put out here now we have this has 173 this is like two something maybe see a flag going see if we can finesse a Marvel through that left Gap just like that now sit down maybe maybe another birdie look these courses really remind me of like why I love disc golf it's just cuz of how fun it inherently it you're throwing pieces of plastic and you come up here and you're like okay it's Rocky so weird little gimmicky cor like let's just have some fun Mana putt what's a Mana with you not going to lie this doesn't feel like only ghosts live here if we have some roads and stop signs I also feel like I'm going the wrong way so maybe I should check you disc oh that's got to be a part of why this is Ghost to look at that the wind's blow my camera out so I can't study it but that looks like something abandoned I was definitely thinking it'd be more like abandoned city that you're playing through but I mean this is still pretty sweet more will be so fun oh gosh that felt weird I think it's going to be really good though no chains but we're putting I think what's funny is there's a lot of stuff that could be seen as like trash Ling around the course but because it's ghost town it's just kind of adds to the Ambiance and I'm not saying like it is a trashy course it's definitely not an old rusty shovel right there there's a shed over in the distance part of an old basket style thing laying on the ground over there a bunch of things that some other courses would clean up but I think it really adds the Ambiance here wow this one's cool make sure you hold it there is a porta potty right by where you start so just go to the bathroom there don't piss on the cor so you don't piss off the owners oh nice P one of my favorite things about coming to these courses is how quiet it is you have the wind obviously you have me banging chains on accident but other than that it's really just you and this golf occasion car rumbling through but that almost adds to the Ambiance cuz it reminds you how secluded it is H on eight I know what we're all thinking about that name wow this is going to be cool I have no idea which way the basket is but I know it's 128 295 I'm going to guess a little down oh yep I can actually see it Down Right beautiful little shot I think I would throw A2 there's a lot of wind so it makes me want to go Roman but I think I'd rather be short than long on some of these like Mountain courses just cuz long can get really long really fast no I thought that would get a little more stable but I thought I threw it really well guess I kind of go to show the wind right now how long ago do they think that this place was ghosted I think I'm starting to see why they call it Ghost Town we're going to be playing to that I think in the next couple holes that's so cool I think the te yeah the te up there there's a couple there like a double Mando oh that's going to be so cool there's so many holes though what the heck wait what is that hole that says nine what is that wait what is there's a lot of holes right here I'm confused part time lot of OB here 233 these payers kind of work for a teapad every tead is very short though luckily it's a short course got to go left to that Mando obviously and then I think the play to Ace is a flex forehand so I think we're going to be a little sneaky and go Sphinx forehand sit down goes too far dang it oh that's a that's a interesting pot down the hill get high come on ah could have been a Roman I love that dis golf is so like you can put it anywhere cuz you just need air space not ground space it's so cool I would love to design a course one day or like have a course like one I will say ghost town is a really good name for a course that has some abandoned elements in it it'd be sick if there was like an old like whole like literal abandoned city that you're able to play through you might have to create your own course there cuz it's abandoned you'd have to live there to maintain the course or something but okay this is not as bad of a putt as I thought it's just super downhill oh my gosh I'm putting straight down wonder if I should just pitch it in that was loud sorry neighbors you boogey hold one you get that out of your system hold 10 155 yeah I would definitely say bring the four discs to this course five might even be Overkill this looks like it drops off behind but I just want to Ace R everything I got to get a sometime I was kind of surprised Oh I thought the wind was coming this way it was the exact opposite so no wonder the disc got held over guys remember when I used to be good at straddle pting feels like ages ago 11 here we got ourselves a whole the basket you might be able to barely see some of it under there Mando right 356 come on baby look it's got to be roaming the basket is on a Ledge I'm a little nervous as to what the OB looks like probably pretty probably probably pretty close based on the rest of the course so let's just try to park it and not worry about it you know oh double M there's a Mando right there too oh a little drop oh skipping up lucky guy see how the Mona fars that is such a cool disc oh yeah okay this is sick what that' be such a cool hole to play I mean look at that that's crazy huh so cool all right this is where the cad is I don't see any rules about this so we're going to come over here waa look at this again dude what the heck we're going to go ahead and throw new teapad for a bonus hole we'll play the normal one in a second baskets through there low ceiling we're ripping the Spinx and this is going to be sick keep fling oh my gosh oh my gosh that just went forever just glad I hit the Gap here's the hole that counts one little bonus shot that I might be able to snag a thumbnail from we'll see 237 Straight Ahead big headwind 82 leave it wide whoa what the heck that one's so long you don't want to leave this one short and now that I'm so long you definitely don't want to leave it long on the approach I know I'm somewhere back there so hopefully it doesn't go too far I really hope you could see that cuz it hit I was just playing to get like a little scuber underneath it thought I was going to finish left it I'll take a park job tap in for the three all right whole 13 310 slightly uphill we're going to go for the Mana now get high no way too low dude way too low what are you thinking it's the right shape though it was going to keep flipping if I gave it the height oh I didn't even see it said Beware maybe I shouldn't have gone in there still putter range oh dang wow all right whole 14 235 wind's got a little calmer as the sun's gone down this is so pretty Marvel whoa shank job get lucky A2 baby stay up Ah that's fun come on Ma oh a little bit of a pot left on the bone for 240t hole it's like a birdi or die course that you don't feel like you have to birdie everything cuz you're just enjoying yourself this one's got some oh this is Ace run City all over it it's also a rollway city Tad's so short you can't even see it 137 Come on B Town super deep oh parked let's go I thought it was so long yes five holes to play think like four down so pretty on track for chis is 15 as long as I Ace everything and we call it all Par Four o only four holes to go uh-oh but one birdie gets me to 500 there wow oh my gosh look at oh no o look at the sunset oh I just almost died oh man got some nice Tailwind this calls it 351 but udis only calls it 320 OB line on the right side I think we're going to try this Mona still debating whether or not I want to throw this for the long term but we ran them so there's like 20 left and at least like keeping stuff in my bag to show you how flies while there's still stuff on the site just in case it's a flight that people want little heer right at it that's a flight a lot of people can get behind I think why you go so far why you not just hit by basket please this thing parked Roman double parked see if we can park with all of them except for the Mana that tends to be what happens whenever I juice the first shot not parked triple parked oh that one is so so parked holy cow three-stroke penalty to hit a car or house that' be pretty hard to do actually I think oh no that's not my parking parking way further yeah that'd be kind of impressive if you hit a car or a house so you probably deserve three Strokes well you're probably penalized enough if you go that far got it surrounded let's make one putt today I feel like we haven't made a single putt yet just drop in sometimes it happens to me in the mountains dude if any other basket I was going in I got to work that weirdo little Heiser out of my putt I will say this is a course that I'm glad I came here especially just to take a drive and I was going to film something else and then my oil change took a little too long so I was like I wanted to go to ghost town anyways I feel like and make for a fun video so I mean is it an abandoned Town apparently kind of get in here it's not quite that but it's like if anything's good YouTube topic so I wanted to come out and play it I don't know if this is a course that I would want to come back and play though but I'd say so far all of the courses in the mountains that I've played I think I'd prefer to play any other ones except for this one or any other ones before this one but like if some buddies were coming up here to play I take out some Putters and come have a blast and now I'm walking through water so I guess there's a reason this is only fall grass on the course and there's a over there not a very smart guy this is what I thought a lot of the course was going to be like this structure cuz this is the only hole that I've ever seen posted on Instagram from this course yeah striking or Landing in stone ruin plus one house or car plus three they call it 317 don't want to hurt my car striking the stone runes plus one to that's interesting I think I'm between Marvel turnover and A2 forehand I think it's before the OB so we're we're chilling not a great putt let's see if Marvel would have been the choice choice the Champions would not have would not have been the right choice see if we can play out of here Mando that window nice my impression legit was that this was like at least 60 or 70% of the course I think that was that impression was probably just maybe wishful thinking or hope or something are these abandoned those might be able to be stayed in those are cool but still been a sick course and definitely a signature hole nice little putt here tail windy Banger home come on oh my gosh I got the sinks right now I ate some food and then the drive up here took about 40 minutes longer than the hour that it was slated to be from the initial navigation so I got like whole four and I was trying to book it through it and started to feel a little altitude sickness and I definitely think my little fine motor skills like the putts have not been working that barely went in luckily looks like we got aiser and then a straight shot there is O all around this one looks like the one to birdie 265 it can't do me wrong three times in a row it's not possible I think it's good now we that's pretty good yeah yeah you not look more often I never look you have to be work I'm driving without you brutal go in oh my wife and her friend were giving me the evil eyes so I had to show them that I Park without looking and I think the A2 is closer than my Marvel still all right we got a little putt I got to take my time is the A2 actually closer I don't think it is good little Tailwind just Jam her in the center Jam her in there bro you got it I should retired now I got to make that comebacker and it's even farther away how am I shanking these butts so badly today oh come on thank goodness at least we can still get the five down I honestly after I shank that putt I was like I'm boogeying no chance if anything put it close and if you go OB be go OB be by the basket so I don't have to make a putt see here's the thing I was interpreting ghost town as abandoned city there might just be like ghosts that live out there that have their own town that I just like went through and didn't even realize cuz I can't see them I don't see dead people I'm not Kendrick all right 232 up the hill once again we're between the two in the Marvel backhand or forehand this little headwind I think we're just going to go A2 and just juice it right at the basket on some man Heiser let it turn and hopefully we stay underneath that wall stay under it yes dude oh let's go thank goodness jeez Marvel Ace Town that's what I call it here oh equally parked just need some some hope fun little course out here and I think the reason I realized it was not at the top of my list is it's kind of like transposing a little bit of Denver pitch and Putt up here cuz a lot of the holes are pretty open there's not a lot of shapes that you have to throw which I think that's one of the reasons you love Mountain disc golf if you're looking for like a fun time out at a course that the first couple ho is super tricky and then you just get to some like really cool views and it's really unique definitely come check it out but I don't think it's one I'll be figing again and I think so far I used to have a series called into the mountains where I'd rank all the courses this would probably unfortunately be the lowest on my list glad I was able to come out here and make this was hoping that it was a bunch of holes with like that little Stone structure but hard did not enjoy playing disc golf with mountain views di down peace oh go watch more into the mountains videos right there why not do it
