This Might Be The BEST Control Driver for Amateurs // Vanguard vs Honor vs Feedback

I've thrown this disc literally one time so far it's the discmania Vanguard and that one throw that I had with it it was during my 10 Micro reviews video and the flight was pretty interesting out of the box so today we're going to be doing a full review with this disc comparing it with discs that I bag two of them actually because I don't know kind of where it fits I feel like it's a little bit of an in-between slot for me as well as a disc that I don't bag but I loved when I reviewed it in my Ganon Burr tells me what to throw video we're gonna be kind of going back to my roots playing a six hole review battle because we're gonna be throwing at least three discs every single hole but we're starting on a 355 foot slightly uphill hole it raises about eight feet of elevation meaning it probably plays closer to 370. this is 172 gram Vanguard and we'll give it a rip first and honestly to get it there I'm gonna kind of throw it right at the basket just kind of dead flat and nose down because I do think I will get a tiny amount of turn out of this okay no turn no turn really good rip he's got a lot of push and a lot of Glide now that Vanguard is the Kyle Klein Signature Series disc that he just put out one of the discs that we're going to look at to compare it to is a recent Kevin Jones collab series that he did with Prodigy which is the feedback they call this nine five negative one three but I think that it's Gonna Fly very similarly but I didn't throw this against anything that I currently bagged but the tutus that I bag that are around the slot of where that's going to be are this c-line cd1 massive shout out to my Patron Mitch for sending this out I do also have a P.O box by the way if you guys want to send anything I'll leave that Linked In this video as well as the pen micro reviews video but this is pretty straight As you'll see here I'm gonna try to throw this on the same line and I think that this is actually going to get that turn that I wanted yeah you can see that's getting a little drift I also put on a touch more hyzer oh and it goes a little farther we'll throw the feedback in a second the feedback is one of the main disks I want to review that Vanguard against as well as this last one which honestly seems like it's gonna be pretty similar but it is the latitude 64 honor this one I've only thrown like twice because it's been in my field work bag and I have not been doing a lot of field work but this is the one that I actually bag I'll throw them both on this first hole just get a baseline but I know that to get these to fly straight even this one which I have been beating in for a while you can tell Kevin Kiefer signed this one we did the review with him I had to put it on a little turn to get it to go straight so we'll see how these fly against each other and then we'll throw the feedback and if that Vanguard beats my honor in today's video it's going to be given away to my patreon weekly giveaways over there as well as a Discord Community maybe some videos coming but that's not like a monthly perk anymore but there are some things that I want to explore with the patreon related to form over this off season than a workshop before I bring them to the main Channel because I'm like being a little bit of a guinea pig for myself we'll throw my kind of beat up on her because this is the one that's in my bag right now so to get the exact same like finishing spot you saw I had to throw that in a lot of turn out of the hand maybe try a little more of a line drive nose down because that other one was a little higher than I wanted to be wow that thing is such a good disc oh that's a bomb too we're going to be continuing to use the purple one instead of the white one just because it's newer this feedback I'm gonna try to instead of throwing on some anhyzer just punch it flat I missed my line when the Vanguard is being marketed you might have heard discmania specifically talking about it as a slightly slower slightly straighter or like beat-in PD Power driver that they have I hated the PB when I threw it I didn't hate it it just wasn't for me it was kind of like very similar to a Firebird very overstable the hand fuel since it was a 10 speed was a little bit outside of the norm of what I like to throw and so this Vanguard feels really good but what I've also heard is that this specifically from Apollo disc golf shout out David but he was saying that when he reviewed the Vanguard he thought it flew like a flippier run of Thunderbirds whereas the honor was kind of like a more overstable round of Thunderbirds I don't have a Thunderbird or a PD because I don't own them otherwise they'd probably be in this review as well but these are kind of the newer discs that have been coming out in that control driver slot that a lot of companies and a lot of players are really liking recently and here is the feedback it was right in line with the Vanguard I just threw the Vanguard a little more right than this one oh brutal and then cd1 I'm almost an identical shot I felt to the Vanguard a little more turn and a little farther let's take a quick look at the profile of each of these discs first we have the Vanguard which honestly you'd think would be similar to the honor just because they're both basically latitude plastic I mean just this is basically just like the swirls that you get on a lot of the latitude stuff don't have it on these honors what you might be able to notice is that the wing I'm gonna move you got closer camera doesn't quite get low enough but what you might be able to notice here is that the wing on the honor it sits a little bit higher than on the Vanguard so this this Edge right here and right here you can see it's a little rounder on this Vanguard than it is on the honor there's a little bit of a lip kind of on the edge there and that's going to make it not cut through the air as much or at least have some lower speed stability as compared to the Vanguard now here you can see the cd1 versus the Vanguard and the CD one is definitely more bladed this Vanguard is just slightly blunter than the cd1 which is going to make this a little more aerodynamic and the wing is slightly slightly lower it's a little bit rounder on top the feedback just kind of has a little bit of a different look to it it's a little more like neutral in the middle and it has this like little dip right there versus these have a little bit more of us like a dome that starts all of them right on top of it instead of kind of coming in before that Dome is going to start like on the feedback also kind of has the blunt-ish wing kind of a mix between the Vanguard and the honor at least in my untrained eye it looks like the stability is going to go cd1 then Vanguard then feedback then honor just based on how they all look butthole 2 here is 315 feet straight there we're gonna put these all on a forehand cd-1 we're gonna have to just push straight on hyzer I think all then we can get there on hyzer just different heights so Vanguard has the Box I'd say hand feel it feels a little small compared to the honor and I think it's just because it doesn't have that extra little lip it's a little more round that makes it very comfortable feels a little more similar to the feedback but the feedback sits a little bit higher in my hand like more towards my index finger and the cd1 honestly isn't as rounded so I honestly say that Vanguard is a little more comfortable than the cd1 once the S9 cd1 comes out it's game over baby this Mania please send me one if they come out Four Hands will anhyzer I guess uh CD one we'll go next yeah just got that little extra like Glide and flip and push and it is long on our next this one I'm just gonna throw flat no no we'll throw it on hyzer but I'm gonna have to throw a little harder you see it's kind of jumping a little more still gets there but a little short and a little more dumpy it's a little early out of the hand who cares it's freaking parked let's go I lied to you guys at the top of the hill we're not keeping the CD One in these I really love throwing it but it is definitely a different disc it's definitely more of like that Undertaker Dynasty style disc and the vanguard's kind of on the edge of it but I definitely say it's more a control driver hole three is a 510 foot Par Four just all the way over there the Obi kind of pinches in what we're going to do is just kind of throw them as flat and nose down as we can towards the right side and just have them crash in hopefully about 350 to 380 feet down the Fairway Vanguard still has the box I will say it is the most comfortable of these discs but since for me I have the CD one in this category creeping up into the slightly more overstable not quite Firebird but a Firebird with a lot of Glide I want it to feel a little more aggressive like this honor which is why I really like this because I feel it's easier for you to be comfortable ripping into it I don't know what it is about the feel of it but feel and discs are all weird here's the Vanguard see like that was a little hyzer and I saw it got a tiny bit of flip up it seem sit down it's very gliding it's a very glidy disc here's the honor much better still slight hyzer but oh those things are so good just a slight bit less of a Glide so like if you like the flight that you see me throw in my honor but you don't throw quite as far as me Vanguard might be a really good option if you throw farther there's some fibers that really seems very similar to the Vanguard like that little bit of like the honor didn't ever seem to want to like pop up at all and both the Vanguard and the feedback seem to like want to kind of like start to pop up a little bit so this is pretty unexpected but I think is it interesting probably just mental thing for me this honor is just as far if not slightly farther than these ones and this is definitely more overstable and so my thought with that is first off it has a good bit of dome but on top of that I'm also way more comfortable ripping into it flat anhyzer because these ones when I have thrown it flat or flat to Annie I don't quite trust that it's not gonna turn as much as I trust this one probably just because it's my disc and I don't think it will turn that much but I don't trust it as much so I feel like I'm able to get a bigger rip into that which is probably just more of a testament to throw discs that you're comfortable with but there might be something to say about like getting something that might be slightly more stable but still glidy see like that seems a little more low speed stable I think the Vanguard has like more it wants to push a little bit more skip I'm not gonna make myself do that up shot we're just gonna call that a bogey with the honor also I threw the cd1 a little bit on this hole and it spiked into that road didn't get a Skip and just kind of backtracked and look how much of a chunk got just like ripped out of that thing right there so the Vanguard is still perfect it is now up one on the feedback and two on the honor with that silly little op shop bogey but we're gonna test these on a hold that I think is going to show us a lot and we're going to try instead of just throwing the obvious little kind of backhand line we're gonna throw these on a forehand since I don't quite trust 300 feet uphill hyzer we're gonna throw on a slight amount of flex I'll try the Vanguard okay a lot of Glide before it wants to fight out of that feedback is next I think this will be similar except as it slows down it's going to hook up a little more I don't think it's quite as glotty as the bang yeah put a little more angle on that honestly similar shape just probably just not as much push and now the honor this is definitely the disc I'm most comfortable with the shape on but I'm glad I at least trusted those on the Annie to see how they'd fight out of it yeah that's exactly what I want in that slot oh this is honestly a little bit better of a spread than I had anticipated oh my gosh Vanguard parked the Vanguard is officially too clear of the field two holes to go next one's gonna be fun though welcome to the top of the world baby 483 feet losing 29 feet of elevation all the way down there there's OB just beyond it you're gonna really have to get the perfect combination of nose angle so getting it not two nose down so it just flies down the hill and hits the ground but not two knows up that it stalls out super early and then all of these I'm gonna have to give a papa Flex out of the hand especially the honor hopefully we can keep it perfect honestly pretty interested to see how much Kyle Klein throws this because he throws very hard and so for him this might be like a CD one is for me because I think he's got at least 100 feet of distance on me slight headwood coming up the hill too so not quite ideal just be smooth I just want one of these to be inside the circle it's probably gonna be short and right that's a 50-foot look that's a look on her next let's try to throw it so hard that thing is stable that is such a different disc that was so much harder and so much more anhyzer and it's so it's gonna be at the circular dang it all right feedback similar to the Vanguard it's a little more left and a little harder that's the best one let's go feedback get there get there oh I parked it oh let's go all right Vanguard was a little bit of the test on me on this one just because do you think I could probably get it there just like the feedback is basically right there I do like that the more I threw the closer they got I can still make this they'll keep it perfect there's Obi Wong oh and it sat great pot that's a great tool with the nine speed you kidding me I almost let that one leak out the other side not mad about that one last hole everything is within one stroke but the Vanguard has it we're gonna settle this on hole 18 385 feet I'm gonna throw the CD One first because that's the shot that I actually throw here I either throw a strike or a CD One on kind of a hard hyzer about 30 feet to the right of the basket it's going to get a little flip up and it's going to finish pretty close foreign wasn't quite as far right as I wanted it to be but I think that line with these guys is going to be really good and then all these I'm gonna give us the pop of flex out of the hand you have a left right wind like you almost always do on this whole honor is taking the Box this is gonna have to be the most Flex oh no I didn't turn it feedback all right remember to follow through just a little much better still not great huh that should be edge of circle left Vanguard I'll show you how it's done follow through what am I thinking much better basically the line I want to throw my CD One on every time just flat to hyzer oh that might be too long there is some shrubs that can catch it but it might be OB long otherwise it's absolutely prompt here we'll throw my honor man this honor feels so much more comfortable it's so this is crazy how much more rounded this white honor is in that purple one just because I've thrown it for like three months at least oh and it's not even close to the stable either oh my well that's pretty far get there with the pier Maybe in this one oh we gotta look from the honor this could tie it up depending on if I want to be oh no oh that would be okay all right look from the feedback tied up at the Vanguard one OB oh gosh okay it looks like I'm throwing a pier on this hole that's a bomb Oh the Vanguard went just OB water's very comfortable though so it always feels kind of good when you're right about a disc and I definitely say that the Vanguard slips Right Slots right in for me between an honor and a CD one it's not really a shot that I'm looking for personally until one of my honors gets beat into that point and then I think I will enjoy it but I don't need to add a whole other mold to the bag it's definitely a little too flippy for that control driver slot but for some people I think it'll be perfect and for some people it might even be like that CD One slot where you can throw it hard enough that it'll get that flip up out of the hand going to the patrons if you want to join go ahead and do that thank you so much this Mania for sending it out you want to
