hey guys zach and hunter here with foundation disc golf and welcome to foundation face-off number seven today we are going to show you a little bit behind the scenes and what we're going to be doing um yeah so here we go yeah so normally we do this part in like walmart or target um but they don't have these so a little story someone commented this a few videos ago um and two i believe it was two phase offs ago we tried doing this we couldn't find it so take a look we're going to be ordering these uh the franklin disc starter pack um it's you probably can't see it i know you can't pvc plastic so great quality three it says three quality tournament style discs uh the rt night owl out of rt's they're plastic 167 gram putter for maximum accuracy the rt sparrow 160 gram mid-range disc engineered for maximum stability they clearly don't know what that means in the rt albatross 160 gram driver disc engineered for maximum distance so we're about to order these uh they have prime shipping so you should be in uh within two days and yeah then um let's cut right over to us trying our best to look like we know what we're doing with these discs let's do it all right see you guys there all right guys we are here at sandusky disc golf course at hole one it is 261 feet par three basically just straight down the middle um first real quick show you guys these discs that we have this is the driver and this is the mid-range and if you guys can see this it's basically the same disc the with uh everything is basically the same i honestly don't feel a difference so it's gonna be pretty interesting throwing these discs today i'm gonna go ahead and go with the driver on the first hole we haven't even tested these out yet but i'm gonna throw it lefty try and get over these trees oh oh no okay so i just watched zach's disc go horribly bad so i'm gonna try the mid um i'm expecting the same type of flippiness but i'ma throw it on the same line right handed and see if i can't get some kind of roller something to the back metal putt all right guys so we couldn't find my disc after it rolled there is a steep hill and it goes into water so if you're here at sandusky park on hole one on the left side go ahead if you find it let us know there's no phone number but anyway this is where i went out hunter confirmed now i have the mid-range but it's okay it's basically the same disc i'm just going to throw our thumb and try to get it close that flies very interesting all right i'm here at my drive zach has thrown one two three penalty four he's putting five i'm putting two um so yeah this could be uh this could be a big way to start the round off let's let's see if i can't make this oh that would have been nice all right we're on hold two 229 feet goes straight and then dog legs to the left um cart path to the right is ob this is the site of zach making me spin what was it 15 20 times in that uh one foundation face off and then i fell on broken glass yeah that's this hole if you remember that i'm gonna try the putter it actually flew pretty well as far as putting went um so i'm hoping that means it's gonna be the best flyer as well so let's try that's all i'm throwing the rest of the video all right after i threw that driver and lost it um now i'm only have the mid and the putter but i'm still gonna throw lefty again i'm gonna actually try and get a roller down this time and throw it out to the right towards the ob car path and see if it comes back to left oh boy all right we're back in bounds oh not even close all right we're on hole three now uh 248 feet there is a cart path ob to the left not the cart path the walking path but anyways and then the baskets up there to the right a little bit i'm going to try my goal is to throw this backhand and not have it roll so i'm gonna just put it on probably about this much hyzer and see if it just like slowly flips up and glides over there well it flipped up but i messed up all right guys fortunately local lynchburg disc golf player william baker actually found my disc as we were playing the second hole so now i have back i'm back to three discs again and i'm gonna throw it righty and i'm gonna try and get down the roller that's pretty close i think so i'm in a very crappy lie but the advantage of extremely flippy discs is i can probably throw this out there on hyzer that way and hopefully have it come back to the basket that way so we're gonna try it any other disc that would have scared the crap out of me save my three oh look at that deer you see that deer sorry boys i'm addie all right oh man i thought that was in for a second all right we have made it to my lie um i am pretty close but if you have watched our videos before you know that these 10 15 footers uh i probably missed 90 of the time not make miss so let's give it a go i told you okay so zach decided to throw the putter which is the only disc that actually flies so i feel like that makes the video a little bit too boring so i'm going to try to throw this on a lot of hyzer with a little bit of power to see if i can get this disc to go straight and actually uh challenge myself here so let's see what it'll do nope never saw that one yeah no idea if you're wondering why that throw looked so weird i was literally trying to turn the disc upside down as i pulled through i don't know if it worked but i tried all right i don't think i can jump put this that far especially with the slippery band-aid on my thumb i'm gonna try and throw this in lefty oh that's pretty close all right we are here at hole 15 it is 270 feet it goes follows this path all the way down to the right danger to the right and danger to the left ob left and then down to the right goes all the way down you're probably not finding your disc i'm gonna go with the boring route and throw the putter again i'm gonna go ahead and throw it lefty and see if i can start straight it went straight guys i have some very uh disappointing news here um zach just informed me that he might put that putter in his bag i don't even we i might want to end the video in both of our careers right now but that's just sad anyways i'm gonna be throwing the mid and uh trying to have some fun if i throw a grenade as we've seen before would it flip up and go this way well you tried it one video didn't work so try it again spin would be ben would be spinning this way yeah so theoretically that should flip up and go that way so we're gonna we're gonna try a grenade this is going to go great that will work in the future all right when it's all said and done i still need to win one of these stupid challenges so go with the actual disc and try to get up and down i should put i think oh my gosh oh that was close all right we're here at hole 16 231 feet go straight and then up into the left i know the play here is a backhand with that putter but i've already thrown it two or three times in a row so it's kind of boring i'm going to try and throw a lefty shot on hyzer maybe give it a little height hopefully it doesn't roll let's see i think that rolled i do it's so easy all right so we're going to keep things real interesting here i'm going to try to forehand this disc more just for pure entertainment than i don't actually think it's going to work but i'm going to try it if it hadn't smacked that tree it might have rolled to the basket tap in three hello darkness my old friends how many strokes is that let me know in the comments well zack's looking for uh his putter he just chucked so i'm just tap mine in onto the last hole or second to last hole hole 17 351 foot par four with these discs it'll probably play like a par four um this is finally the chance we get we've been dying for just to open up on a drive and see how these things truly fly um i'm gonna throw a grenade again it i think it was close to doing what i wanted to do my idea is it's so flippy that i think if i throw it it'll flip up and then cruise i think so let's try it dang it hunter get it off i can still save a three from there all right here we go um hunter's disc didn't go too far but you know mine haven't been too good this uh this video either but i'm gonna throw lefty uh try and throw big hyzer and hopefully it rolls i don't know no idea where that went i went in the woods yeah oh wow i my camera work was much more confident that this coming down it's got a chance oh i don't know where i threw that not towards the basket you want to pick mine up oh thanks all right so we're on hole 18 219 feet dead straight there's the nice easy gap down the middle just like a little tight tunnel we don't like that here uh actually i love this hole don't get me wrong but there's a reasoning for this we did our math wrong and by we i mean me uh and the loop i made is only eight holes not nine holes so to make it a little bit more difficult and add something other to this challenge um we're gonna say you can't go down that low tight middle gap you can still go down the middle just can't be down that gap it has to be high or you can go outside however which way you find so i'm going to try to flick this high right outside and let it come back in and see where i end up the water on this hole by the way is casual according to the uh the t sign so um let's see how this goes oh my god i just threw a forehand tomahawk name another player that can do that it's in the middle okay so zach said that in the video you couldn't really see what happened but i threw it on forehand like this expect expected to flip up and cruise over it flipped up all the way up and they went like this and then flew like a tomahawk wood so i would know b here uh baskets on the other side of those trees i'm just trying to get up and down and still win this shower might have thrown that a bit hard okay so we are at the site of what used to be a bridge here over the water um if i threw this we will tie basically because hunter uh has to fight this and we'll tie but if i put this in from here i win i mean i haven't made anything inside 10 feet but let's try oh boy so let me explain i was scared to fall off this edge but yeah i lost i thought it would have been a nice way to end finally got another win uh it took me a long time to get my second one but this was from a comment suggestion so if you have any suggestions for these foundation face-offs
