Foundation Faceoff - Disc Block

hey guys zach here with foundation disc golf hunter behind the camera today we're bringing you our next foundation face-off called disc block we got this from the comments of one of our videos so the way this works is you play regular golf but let's just say i make a 60 foot putt hunter cannot putt or hole out until he's able to drop the disc into the basket so a few strokes going to be gained or lost here or there also it is raining outside and we are at peaks view park we have not brought you this course yet in the video but we're gonna be playing the long baskets so here we go all right here we are at hole 1 355 feet you're going to be playing to the green prodigy baskets two ways to get to this basket you can go down the middle right past the short pin or around this tree to my right with a huge annie i'm gonna be throwing a esp zeus down the middle first through of the day by the way i haven't even warmed up all right looks like we're gonna be turning stuff over today all right so i'm gonna take my big z zeus and go the way zach didn't tell you about which is the big highs are up over all the trees so oh yeah i didn't tell you because i don't i've never done that forgot what it was like to throw a disc when it's cold outside it hurt a lot and it did not go far all right so i once i caught the top of these trees dropped straight down here got a long ways to go this path does play ob so i'm going to try to throw annie forehand and make sure i get left of the path and then hopefully close to the basket oh no all right i'm going to be forehanding my zone here uh have some low leaves i want to throw the backhand but not in this weather i'm not going to but hopefully just get it close or just throw it straight into the ground oh gosh why are you laying up all right folks hunter has to lay this one up because he couldn't drop it in six to four going into the next hole all right here we are in hole to 355 feet um you can't really see this basket it's just a little bit over the ridge i'm gonna go on the left side of this tree in front of us just to try and get it uh down there a little bit and take my three let me throw my raptor all right so normally i'd go the backhand but my back's really tight right now so i'm trying to just throw a forehand on some annie flex it down there and hopefully get a long look at you that didn't work so zach is ob on this path so we're gonna spot him wow can't talk we're gonna spot him right back here now sit right there so i can tap that in no oh no all right folks since hunter's still out he gets to go but not good news for me because then i have to lay up all right so we're on hold three 250 feet we're gonna go straight and a little right into into those trees uh only danger really is a roll away out of bounds there's a path on the right and way up on the left if you find that no whoa okay stayed safe but that was a bad shot all right even though it's riskier i'm gonna go ahead and throw the forehand just because i think it'll get me closer for the two hopefully i don't filter all the way down the hill well you're not going to go down the hill if you throw it like that folks so i'm going to try and lay this up uh but it's gonna be risky probably more risky to run it um all right yeah let's see how this goes i guess maybe i'll give it like a half run or neither because i didn't get close enough nor did i run it uh this is how you don't play disc golf so gosh darn it all right we got hole for 295 feet it's going to be through this gap and then to the left i'm not going to hit this gap with a backhand so i'm going to actually throw a roller down the middle hopefully it holds straight enough and then curls up to the left i'm up two strokes at this point don't go on the road just curl now okay yeah that's fine all right i'm going to try an undertaker straight down the middle i've never thrown this disc before so i guess it's kind of a risky decision but i feel like it's the right shot oh are you kidding me that's annoying all right i got my crystal luna trying to think through some strategy here um not really sure what i'm gonna do yet but we're gonna see you don't know yet that was the exact in between both the shots i was thinking of in my head and exactly what i didn't want to do can i tap that in nope no zach has messed up folks i am out and he is not close enough to tap that in don't miss this if that would have rolled i would have died all right we're on hole five 325 feet there is a mando straight off the tee you have to throw left of it which makes this kind of like a tight tunnel shot initially you'll see the short basket we got to go past that another 50 60 feet or so to the to the long basket come on that's the perfect shot until that tree all right words from the wise when it's wet outside make sure you throw the slippery slip slipperiest plastic on earth uh crystal i hit this hole i'm gonna throw a forehand on huge annie and maybe get to the left of that tree down there and come back right probably not gonna happen but let's do it well i think he made the mando well didn't go on the road but now sit down cuz i can tap that in can you though i don't know if you can tap that in that's gonna be close okay what are you thinking hunter okay so i'm looking at zach's live and it's really close but i don't i don't think it's quite close enough for him to drop it in so what i'm gonna try to do is lay up to the edge of the wood chips that i'm still out tapping my three and make him take a five if he has to lay up so that's that's my strategy that's what i'm trying to do here let's see if zack's close enough let's see if he is not quite he's gonna have to lay up if i can drop it into the basket it's in right if you can drop it in without foot faulting so you you have to you can't fall forward yeah it's in but your hand has to be over the the basket to drop it in my hand why like you can't throw it drop in the basket but you can't throw it forward so you can't like push forward no i if i just let go yeah if you let go and it goes in the basket it's in no that's a football six 340 feet we gotta go long and straight over the hill and then across a little casual river um but that's not ob i'll go with my undertaker again uh it looked like it was flying good before it nailed that tree on the last hole so i'm gonna try it again i don't know i pulled it that is not an easy spot to get the three from well folks uh i'm gonna do something ill-advised again i'm gonna throw a roller uh i did this last week it actually took a two inch hole so um it's gonna be like a two or twelve so here we go two or twelve i don't think that's a roller so you see how it rolled there at the end that's what i meant uh it hit the tree and then rolled out a little bit that's pretty much what i was trying to do no way park the short basket that's gonna suck here i am again with my zone you know the one that's done great today i have this little gap in front of me um i gotta put it close enough to tap in um but we know that's not gonna happen so here we go real confident today as you can tell well it's high and it's far and it hit a tree and so i have two options basically i have the option of laying it up close enough to drop it in so i don't have to worry about anything or i have the option to lay it up farther away than i think zach can make it so like 15 feet and then having to force zach to lay it up close let's tap in i think i'm gonna go with the ladder and try to put it like 20-ish feet away and if zach lays up far in that and makes the putt then i could be screwed but we'll see where do i want to lay this up all right that should work just gotta get this close enough to tap it in oh my gosh i did it again i think that's close enough i think all right guys i just keep screwing myself up because this is my real one right here and i can't reach that again so this like one foot thing that i've never practiced how to lay up correctly it's not good hunter's got to make this pressure's in his hands leaves it short you don't have to read you not tap in what you don't tap it in why i missed there's nothing blocking the basket see that folks i think i could have made this but all right we're here on hole 7 and 207 feet one of the worst holes in disc golf we have this tree in front of us and that tree in the other tree so you kind of have a right turning fairway then back down to the left for the long basket i guess the play would be a anhyzer here with the stable disc and it is really raining now but here we go i mean i made it up there so i'm fine with that operating the camera right now is basically a balancing act with a umbrella and uh and trying to zoom so if it's a little shaky that's why i'm just go with my nova try to start straight and match zach's shock oh no it actually won't be that bad i've been down there before and that is gonna go really far folks alrighty oh my gosh this big putt here folks he's thinking about it that's the worst thing that could happen yep because now if i make that you can't tap that in whoever commented this game i strongly dislike you currently all right folks uh i'm now up two strokes this whole hill eight 215 feet dead uphill just have two holes left the next hole is i mean even shorter than this so i'm gonna throw an overhand probably the first one you've seen for me in a while uh hunter is doing a balancing act with this umbrella it's actually pretty funny uh any free cameraman out there hit us up keyword free so keyword free yeah i just realized i was not recording that shot at all i was recording it i just didn't see it oh okay i zoomed in too high because of the umbrella it was good it was a good shot the two words umbrella or umbrella umbrella okay yeah it was a good shot folks sorry you missed it so i've got to get this really close to the basket um i actually don't know because zach's 20. if i put it close he's gonna maybe make the putt it is pouring out it's really raining i'm gonna just try to get it closed that's not close i don't know if i'll find this wrong basket all right guys last hole absolutely pouring whole 965 feet don't know why hunter's getting closer to me um it's it's pretty close it's the closest uh hole in the course i'm gonna throw my crystal luna just try and get it close and close this game out all right hunter what to do what to do i've got to ace it i don't have another option i'm down like four i think after i don't even know to call last hole it wasn't good so sorry guys can't see anything there well i'm close but that's not gonna help me thanks guys for watching another foundation face-off hunter conceded there so that ended the match i think now i'm up
