Foundation Faceoff - Weird Discs

hey guys zach and hunter here with foundation disc golf and today we're bringing you another foundation face off this game we just made up just a little while ago so we're each going to have an ultrastar a mini a mini wizard as well as a turbo putter and the rules are if you use the disc you got to lose it but also if you use a throwing style you got to lose it we're going to be throwing backhand forehand overhand and roller if you do get inside the circle though you have to turbo putt with your turbo putter it can be thrown also if you'd like but the next tee will then just pick up where we got left off so today we're at peaks view we're gonna play the long basset skin hole one is 255 feet let's get it going all right i'm gonna go with the ultra star off the tee um it is freezing out here my hands are already numb and we've been here five minutes so uh yeah i'm just trying to go back in with the ultra star and then hopefully a little forehand up shot with i don't know yet we'll figure that out when we get there not horrible we're going straight at the tree yeah that works i don't really know what my strategy is i don't know where these are gonna work into this but i'm gonna try and forehand the wizard i think that's ob this isn't looking good folks all right we're on hold two 355 feet it's gonna play straight down the middle and then across at ob road the road plays it would be like a river so if you're in it you're out of bounds um i have only my mini and overhand left and then i'll reset so t-shot's gonna be interesting if you guys couldn't hear that it literally hit like right there it hit the t still it stuck on my thumb and hit the t all right now like i'm getting very far with this but that is currently the highlight of my day i've been up for i don't know 30 minutes um so hopefully something else exciting happens i'm gonna go back right into that tree is what i'm doing for that one oh no whoever online told us those things are very stable completely untrue all right now i'm gonna throw what i should have thrown but from here get off the road get all through what happened all right i'm fine with the hitting that because then it didn't go on the road so i'm gonna make up a few strokes on this hole good is that on the road i don't know it looked okay what the frick we're gonna get up there it's gonna be parked i hope you know that are you kidding me i thought that was so good i mean it did fly stable for a putt i'll give it that oh up by one uh hole four 295 feet is going to be dead straight and then a little bit to the left i'm going to throw the forehand off the t so i'm not throwing a backhand again um did i say i'm up by one cause i'm up by one i'm totally okay with that it's in the fairway and it kind of went straight okay so i have to go overhand with the mini again um i'm not going to throw the thumber because we saw how that went last time so i'm gonna try but like this just feels weird like anything tomahawk feels really weird but i'm gonna just try it i just have to move forward and then reset at least i didn't roll it okay so i reset i want to stop overhanding this i know that um so i've re thought through my strategy i think i want to start overhanging the turbo putter for handing the ultrastar and backhanding the mini whiz which means this has to be my roller disc um so i'm gonna go ahead and use this as a roller just to like prevent having to use it on the next tee uh and hopefully it goes okay wow all right let's hear it what are you thinking if i want to go ahead and backhand this if i want to forehand the ultrastar there's a mando on the next team that's going to make things interesting to say the least um so i think i want the backhand for that let me go for hand here oh wow that actually was a lot more stable than i expected on the forehand so i should be able to lay up for a five all right so i have a chance here to make up uh even more strokes i'm gonna uh wow i honestly just forgot what i was gonna do oh i'm gonna roll this um and then hopefully just lay up for the circle like easily here we go go puppy go go i'm fine with it all right hunter biggest part of your career you say that in every video each one is bigger than the last wow just stellar what a 10-footer all right hole five 325 feet i'm now up two strokes this is going to be pretty much dead straight from where we are past all the trees but there is a mandatory you have to throw left of this tree i have backhand off the tee with this puppy and then hunter has backing off the tee with his mini whiz so let's get it going well he made the mando uh honestly i was really trying to just throw it super low so i can make the mando um but obviously i hit the tree so that doesn't help me but uh i made it so we're good yeah it's been a while since i've thrown one of these so i don't remember how flippy it is but i remember i used to be able to throw it far so we'll see if i can just pipe it down the middle oh they're stable that's still okay though i mean that's fine i got good distance um but don't take any pointers from me for a forehand all right this kid has gotten down here i'm trying to go a little low thumber and it should react pretty fast and skip over there um i'm just trying to play for four here that's about it yeah that's all i want so i'm really not going to try and get there with this shot i'm going to go overhead mini then i'm going to go ahead roller with the mini whiz and then i've reset on the next tee i'm feeling good today folks i'm not down like last time so don't tell me i seem upset all right i'm not black i just talk in the middle of your backswing i was going to say flashback to when you kicked the tree a few holes ago no i i don't know what chocolate i have my roller the mini left got to put this on the wood chips wow ah it's really short get there mamacita yes all right huge moment for hunter thomas here is it biggest part of my career you'd say probably bigger than the last pretty confident little 10-footer there are you down hunter score wise yeah which makes your emotions be a little down you know it happens that's life all right here we are hole six 340 feet um i'm now oh i'm still up two strokes i have reset though unfortunately hunter has not i can't remember what he's got to throw but he's gonna do it anyway uh i'm gonna be throwing my backhand uh ultrastar off the tee maybe yeah i think that's what i'm gonna do and hopefully you know get some more strokes going into the woods okay i thought that was a round i thought that was over the hill it wasn't that's so weak i have a forehand the ultrastar which is probably what i've now i would have turned backhand i'm being honest um but i'm okay with having this also i don't know if you noticed but zach and i unintentionally matched pretty much identical all right let's see i was going to wear our foundation beanies but i think they're going to be here this week that i'm wrapping crushed clothes i don't know if they exist anymore or not but oh stay there please that's not bad since i reset i'm gonna go forehand ultrastar again so i can straddle out the bait if i want to go low or way up high i feel like i feel like high is probably a better option slow there's too much risk not that i think it's gonna work but i think it'll be pretty cool i'm gonna throw my roller just over this hill and then hopefully it goes that way no stop all right i'm working overhand with the mini whiz i didn't see that coming yeah well now all i got to do is roll the minion then i'm reset again on the next hole across that water going back to the thing that has caused me the most pain the overhand many but i think it's the right choice because of what's coming up next and this should be a little easy little uh throw yep that's not gonna work all right so we got some water to contend with here i'm gonna just try and get this roller down the other side hopefully close enough that i'm in the circle so i can turbo put so i reset so i have to use something else that i don't want you on the next hole all right now sit all right we're in the circle oh oh all right here we are on the next he i just went ahead and gave him stroke there so this is 230 something feet almost dead straight uh we you've seen this hole before rated one of the worst holes in disc golf but obviously we'd love to be here um so i'm gonna be throwing the overhand with the ultrastar off the tee uh that way and just trying to get to the fairway because this tree uh eats my dinner well i guess breakfast because it's early in the morning but here we go and i hit that tree so clearly i i wanted to do that because it perfectly lines up that middle gap that doesn't exist all right i have a backhand off the tee and then i have a roller with a turbo putter left enough messing around i'm tired of sucking and losing challenges so we'll play to my rating and park this hole and uh gain back all the strokes i lost it's a really hopeful thinking but i like to i like to think that's what's about to happen if you park this what parks within 10 feet yeah okay i'll give you ten dollars ten bucks if i park this yeah that'll be ten feet but it's really good all right we are in some deep stuff here uh my drive went pretty far about 15 feet um i don't know what i'm gonna do i mean honestly i'll take it i didn't see where it went where'd it go up to the right all right so i'm gonna be throwing my roller with this turbo putter here pretty risky as we have a big fall off over there i need to just get it within maybe like 32 so i can then roll and then reset the nxt oh yeah stop pretty close yeah all right hunter has to roll here all right i was lying before this is the biggest pudder's career to make up two strokes all right to make up one stroke mother trucker to tie the hole all right a whole eight 215 feet gonna be dead up hill right past maybe like 40 feet past the short pin i'm still up three i'm going to throw my turbo putter as a thummer off the tee because i am reset and i don't know how it's going to fly because i haven't done it yet but hopefully somewhere in the middle i'm gonna try maybe throw it like this because then i'll give it more time okay folks i'm down three and uh if you haven't noticed i've missed five putts in the last two holes so if i just make one or two of those you know it's a different ball game but that got a bad tee shot i'm reset so i'm going backhand and i'm just trying to get up near the short basket hopefully three this hole and um i need to get myself close enough that i can just tap in forget about tap it just tap it good shot hey change out i'm the wrong best not where i'm going i probably should have been up there for this shot i think i'm like five feet away but we'll see i'm confident about it because i'm gonna make that so we're good what's the tie this tie you're kidding me i'm still worried about freaking turbo putty i'm missing but still gain two all right hole 17 260 feet but it plays a lot longer than that because it is uphill the whole way uh ob road and beyond to the right that's a little bit new um also i'm now new these t signs are like years old new is to like we've been playing just like road is the river oh previous holes this is the first time road and beyond but uh yeah still gained two strokes even after that uh horrible missed last hole so i'm only down one with two holes left let's make this uh interesting all right so i have a question for you guys you viewers out there okay so i always thought a turbo putt was when it was spun this way hunter says that a turbo putt is just anything up here so when he throws it and it goes this way he counts it as a turbo foot let us know down below so i can either rub it in his face or he can rub it in mine i'm about to get ripped apart uh what is a turbo putt and does this throwing up here no matter where you are and just flipping it this way count as a different butt or does it have to spin okay so back to our regular programmed video here i'm gonna throw an ultra star off the tee he's cracking up because he knows he's wrong yeah i'm gonna throw an ultra star off the tee and just try and stay safe because i still have one stroke and he can't putt for crap so here we go our rolls have reversed this is so risky because it's gonna go on the road go on the road great shot man all right i'm just trying to throw i have to throw overhand with a mini um so i'm just try to i guess i'm gonna try to throw a thumber it did not work last time but i'm gonna try it again um i'm gonna try to get through here because then i can just throw a roller with the turbo put close enough and just try to take a four i'm just looking to match zach here because a lot can happen on 18 i want to backhand off the tee there so this is i am uh okay ready yep okay now i just gotta roll from there and then i reset up the tee no no i get to use my termite off the tee which is what we like to hear all right i'm just throwing see what happens that's my worst case scenario right there good job sit down all right so i'm just go forehand because then i have my backhand left and go forehand through the left gap is my plan is get out in the open lay up tap out for a three and hope zach takes four or worse that sucks all right so i have the overhand turbo putter off the tee 100 did not have the best shot so really all i got to do like i said before is match him uh because i am up one stroke still so let's get it done don't hit one of these first streets good i'll be fine same tree as hunter i think and it went that way and i aimed over there ready what are you doing i know they're here for you you can't do that yes you can what about the turn i was just showing the car all right just gotta get up and down and then hopefully that can't match good shot wow nice work uh this is nerve wracking hunter is close uh so i have to uh take a three here um to win yeah so i don't really know what i want to do i'm kind of nervous i think i'm just gonna probably throw it back in and hopefully it works but i feel like i can win in a playoff so if we get there we'll see let's go all right so we know hunter sucks at turbo putting but does he suck that bad he's about seven feet away if i don't put this in and he makes that um obviously game's over but if i lay up and he misses we go to a playoff but i don't want to go too far and i don't know what to get there because i have the forehand overhand roller left i maybe if i just throw like a summer and just like put it up there maybe that'll be the best bet and like hopefully he misses but it's six feet away seven feet away if he misses geez please don't ever play face off again um you know what i'm gonna i'm gonna take that back i've missed regular putts that close you earbuds never mind let's flash back to that buzz air ball yeah was it right there is that weird yeah it just happened yeah they're all laughing now i don't know what to do guys i am i'm ah okay and i'm not even gonna make that one game over all right so i have to make this putt um i mean safe to say hunter is going to make his butt if i make this the pressure is even on his heart rate's going to be up uh it does not make for a good putting scenario but i have to make this so all right pressure's on hunter all right folks it all comes down to this oh i'll take it the playoff is gonna happen all right um i think we all saw that coming really uh but here we are in the playoff we're gonna play 17-18 in a loop until one of us wins uh we've decided we're resetting uh here and then we'll play it like the normal rules after this so here we go all right just going to play exactly like i did last time probably not exactly but i mean the ultra star off the t had a pretty good tee shot i just need to put it safe i have no clue orlando's i think i'm inside the circle technically which is kind of unfortunate but we'll see all right folks we're both inside the circle a lot of pressure a lot of pressure got a putt alrighty all right so if i make this obviously it's over but i couldn't lay up and he might miss but i know on the next hole i don't have the advantage i'm going to give it a soft er ish run and then we'll go from there oh man all right i'll make my putt but we'll see if he makes his i never thought i would lose a face off because of putting but these freaking things suck i'm down 10-6 might as well close out the video yeah i guess so all right guys well normally we
