Foundation Reacts: Swapping Bags with Paul McBeth (Simon Lizotte)

how's it going everyone hunter and zach here with foundation disc golf and today we're doing a new video to us that's been done a ton on youtube but we haven't really seen it in disc golf much and that is a reaction video so we're reacting to simon lizotte's new video swapping bags with paul macbeth three whole challenge we decided to react to this because um it's at our home course falling creek disc golf course we also do a lot of face-offs like this uh and so it seemed right up our alley and we figured why not try out a reaction video yeah definitely i mean we see them swapping bags we've swapped bags before seems like simon maybe is copying us a little bit who knows probably doesn't even watch our stuff probably not but i'll link to our video version of this in the description below in case you want to check that out and i'll also link to his full video uh so because we're gonna be pausing and talking about it so if you haven't seen it that's in the description as well but let's jump into it all right let's get started all right guys we're gonna have a three full challenge to determine the true champion discmania or discraft go ahead guys and shake hands if you want also switch bags and look good luck simon nick carl came in hot yeah they're both using griffin how tight is your bag first hole we are starting on hole 17. 550 feet and i know 98 of simon's disc go left so i should have no problem they did choose the hardest hole to start do this um you only have one so that's no this one this is the one he always says the furthest it's twenty throws the purse it's straight for about 500 and then bends right for the last 50. oof i gotta pause it there that did not his form looked off there well yeah i mean this is probably one of his first throws in a long time after his ankle injury yeah he also i don't know if he expected the pd2 to flip up i don't know do a pure hyzer i know and you're gonna hear i know nick carl i think is about to say something here that could be trouble deep trouble i might have noodle armed it a little bit i thought that's exactly what i was going to say nick carl said he noodle armed it and it looked like he kind of just like short armed it um but again what you just said he expected the pd2 to flip up and either that or he just threw it way off what he was intending to do yeah let's see what simon picks you up he doesn't know how to throw petey chess yeah simon says he doesn't have there no one knows how to throw pd2 i'm here with a disc craft bag obviously i've studied paul intensely i know that zeus is a good flyer and this is a force right there yeah wow look at that oh this is like a pop top let me try this beast little foundation stamp this should go shout out i think it's pretty stable too yeah i mean he ripped on that it didn't wasn't gonna flip over pretty satisfied with that shot that just is more stable than i thought that one is yeah that one is only that's a mean cook for you wait you took the wrong bag oh my god yeah so we just saw simon say that the mcb's force was a meat hook um all of the mcbeast forces that we've gotten you know we've done like three different runs of them or four have all been pop toppy and super overstable you you see the same thing too yeah yeah definitely different than most forces but i mean you just saw simon say through a hyzer yeah like held pretty straight and then like kind of came out and he goes oh that must be a meat hook for you talking to paul yeah that one's brand new that one i've only thrown maybe 10 pounds yeah this came out okay before any of you guys head down to the comments and be like oh my god i can't believe they're throwing different companies this guys we talked to our sponsors i talked to discipline yes paul talked to discraft yep they were cool with it don't lose wait yeah one thing that i was about i was gonna say was do you want your you know if i'm dis cracked do i want paul to lose because then simon's the one throwing disc craft discs so it looks better yeah i mean i feel like i want i want paul to lose first off like huge thanks to dismania and discraft from a fan's perspective for letting this happen because this is cool that's awesome just to see i mean for me we've seen paul throw this mania before yes but we've never seen paul or excitement through discraft right that's cool but yeah if i'm this craft i want simon to win yeah and if i'm this mania i want paul to like be surprised at whatever disc he hasn't thrown yet and win personally um but i don't actually i mean they probably couldn't care less who actually wins because these are the faces of both the companies so yeah the the the video is going to get a lot of views the discs are both in there so i'm sure both companies were definitely happy little thing for you would be almost good because my discs are then the problem there you go yeah friendly competition today just friendly competition paul looks a little pinched off here line md5 i think i could get this thing this is over it looks flat take a good shot part wow that's part on this first one super overstable never thrown really yeah no this is this is a really good drive and he threw that thing on hyzer i mean i've got this hill before but not on the top and i threw a full flex and i was like 60 shorter than him i wonder if this is his first throw with a luna it wasn't bad man that was not a bad run all right a little nervous there you go clean it up both of them easy threes on the hardest hole of course um i think that's the hardest one i mean the next one all right i don't see if you call that hole 18 par four 403 feet um you can see there's a lot of trees here yeah so i've seen these crush boys do this a whole lot oh gosh d-line f-d i like it okay d what is paul thank you i don't know because like we okay so obviously we know we've played with paul here before he's going to go high left but you go with a straight disc high left because yeah crank it on some annie and hope it like flattens out he picked the flippiest disc in simon's bag i have no clue um i mean he could go roller i don't know what he's going to do but where i don't know what if he's going roller i don't think that's good like how are you going to go high left we're talking like pretty stinking high you gotta go and then have it get down does he plan on landing perfectly in the gap and rolling i don't know because the gap then goes come straight right like a right angle i mean i guess if you landed the roller perfect it would work but i just i don't see it work but that's paul so that's true if anyone was gonna do it it would be perfect let's see this i hope he goes roller because he just tries to air shot this that's pretty bad i mean it's gonna have to be an air shot for ninety percent of the flight regardless little crew oh that went pretty far left no there it is oh it didn't hit trees was that a roller coaster yeah that was going to be a roller i was thinking so he was trying to roll her so yeah i don't know simon said that he was trying to roll her uh but like you said before we've played with him here and we know you know he knows he can get to that that gap i don't know maybe it might have just been for the video just to try something out um weird choice though very weird but now that you did that i might go just straight annie you couldn't even see those branches all the trees are dead i might have kind of lost that one but they're still they're still looking look at them still looking for it all right paul i need something that flies oh you can't tell them what you got i think they were scared of nick that's why nick has had to go by field yeah yeah i said that facebook post no what about the paige pierce disc no that's wow putting purple that looked really good that was pretty ideal not gonna lie down he hit the gap yeah like he hit like did it flatten into the gap right yeah i've never seen that happen before see this is why okay if you've never seen a pro play on your home course it's probably the most frustrating thing that will ever happen because like i have tried that shot a thousand times and i throw that way just to get to the gap he was like 40 feet in the air going into the gap yep if that flattened i mean we'll see but if that flattened he could have a pretty easy like he could be right outside the circle right yeah he could be like if you hit that gap it's pretty much straight to the basket yeah on that angle i know it's pretty far in there first he's gonna hit the red basket my guess is he might be closer to the red basket uh just because to get past that yellow basket going through those trees it's almost like 90 100 feet maybe in there from the edge of the gap i would say it's close to 200 from the edge of the gap okay so oh geez um so i don't know if he got all the way in there but that was a sick shot um i would bet the only time this hole has ever been tuned has been like a throw in from the entrance of the gap i've never actually seen someone get in the gap in the gap neither no i mean when i play this i only lay up to the edge and then i'm maybe at the gap like i'm probably laying up if i threw this i'm stoked yeah like this is a very this is a true par four yeah it's very tough all right let's see where they go i got some work to do simon's probably less than 60. paul paul's guessing to be honest this one's listed at what 403 or 405. very sorry far forward but it it's further than it's not really good yeah probably the best drive ever on this whole thing he's literally just said what we just said i know what to do from here you want the night strike i think nope oh no okay it's my favorite i think it's a pd right i don't i could usually go around i think there's no fun in that he's going straight down the middle this tight gap here this is a touchy shot i'm pretty sure it's a pd looking at anna i wish i knew simon's bag better a little too much yeah a little too much good line that's a good line yeah that's this is not overstable at all like very very straight yeah yeah i thought it had some fight to it because it caught that left tree or else it was going to be really good yeah on the windshield they're talking about that one right there oh okay wow paul's out again okay so paul's almost in line with the red basket yeah so maybe i need to be up there a little touchy forehand oh dang that's a good line that looks like metal i think kind of flies like a own it looked like yeah okay so he was he was before the red no way oh yes i wanted that's so bad oh my god some glidy frisbees there i mean to get to the red bat like that's insane to me it's a it's a heck of a shot again three easy three got to three stuff up for paul didn't mark it it's courtesy violation i'll take the warning all right i'm so signed i mean i think his contract's up in what two three three years yeah i don't describe jump on that no i don't think so this maybe is made for a player like simon eagle slightly uphill yeah 480 maybe 500 feet there's no t-shirt a bonus you get a putt for two here you're you've been in these positions before what are your thoughts going into the final hole throwing a brand new bag going for the knockout go for the knockout i um i think i'm going to go back to that glow pd2 and just give it some no you won't have different disks you're going to throw a dd3 yeah dd3 on this one yeah have you seen anybody all right so simon's got a zeus here which is cool to watch that is smashed holy frick did you see that angle he put on that that thing he put it literally like this and it flipped all right and it ended up hitting white blue wow that's his roller one right that so it might be a little flipping his side was so hard that zeus came out like this and it flipped all the way over but it did glide to the right can we go back or can we not do that i mean i don't know if that works yeah we can go back i've got to see him throw this again no you didn't go back far enough 836 feels pretty new that was just for me i've got to throw this again i'm going for a hyzer flip down the middle he threw that much more that's his roller one right anyone else it might be a little funny all right let's see what paul does there's a dd3 so basically a destroyer from what i understand paul's form just looks real weird right now it does i like from there he looked like he threw that i mean it went hard but looks like he threw that with like twenty percent power yeah i'm assuming it's just coming back to you guys you know he he hasn't played luckily we're both sponsored by the same grip the the whole ankle thing um which is fine i mean so many times and every time everything what did you see there's a pull through it just is very overstable very zone no i think this is paul straighter's own time yes because he does he does too i'm pretty sure this is a stranger zone oh holy here it goes oh it looks very windy it looks real windy but he put that on a lot of annie and it did not fight out i mean and he was only like yeah paul's definitely farther out yeah john pudding though no way oh my gosh i didn't even catch me wow i mean that's got that's i don't know how far this is hundred feet that was a that was a heck of a run so simon just has this for the win right so they both three because it did both three seconds up once for the guaranteed win about 25 it looks like it's too high yeah i mean you could see you know these trees here was kind of guarding maybe the right side of the basket so he pushed a little too left but that's so sad as much as i want to call this to get me i mean paul has 15 feet left all right so we got to play off right so we got a tie i think we'll in life because there always is a winner in life um maybe they'll maybe they shot more than one challenge and they could have but still this whole yeah okay well i'm assuming they must have shot more than one video because they started on 17. that's a far walk simon drove from massachusetts to here yeah i mean i know yeah for two days i know they played the board game but there has to be more face-offs coming out i hope so uh that'd be really interesting and maybe maybe we gotta revisit the the bag swapping i don't remember last time i did it but i don't either my bag has kind of changed my bags definitely changed so maybe we should do it again yeah it's a fun video that's fine i'm good with that um yeah so all right guys well thanks for watching uh hopefully you liked this video
