Golf | Disc Golf Battle with Paul McBeth

hey guys zach here with foundation disc golf hunter behind the camera today we're joined by paul macbeth first of all i just want to give a shout out to ivy hills country cub for letting us shoot this video out here today if you guys are in the area or you're visiting you guys should definitely come and play this golf course but we're going to be playing a challenge today that we're going to be playing a few holes of golf and a few holes of disc golf so let's get started so we're going to start on hole number six here at ivy hills we're gonna do six seven eight nines we're gonna do four holes of golf five holes of disc golf and the format we're gonna go from the blue team today i think it might give me a better chance here um because we're gonna play singles versus doubles on the golf on the disc golf course which will actually be at my property um we're trying to keep it sanitary keep it clean while this is all going on and what's actually really cool here is none of the golf holes are actually in the ground so it's going to help our putting i feel like we don't need speed control today so all right team it up wow he connected all right wait in the middle take it here we go where did where did that one go for the viewers because i don't think i saw it i even had those trees that's my plan that's where you want to land uh i want to land in those trees over that way yeah that's better i thought it goes that way not really it doesn't like look at how straight it is on the picture it doesn't go that far right okay all right hit this thing there's a fly on this ball good for the ride of his life you hit it straight real straight that'll be tricky but playable i zoomed straight but i don't know where it went like the trees like in between those two set of trees i'm dead straight between them all right we are off the fairway fairway's over there um but we can play up this way and then across so that's that's the goal here but we are at a slight decl or incline here uh obviously i know that messes with your golf swing somehow i'm probably gonna if i'm sweet i might get really underneath it i don't know we'll see i don't know we'll find out if it's not clear already we we don't really play golf very much never we enjoy it but just peered up over the hill but i mean it's still rolling forward progress left so it's forward progress you know the golf hole that you guys didn't see was a par five hole number two i uh took a solo birdie actually um but of course now we're on camera i'm gonna play bad so nice that is nowhere near the direction of the hole it was a solid hit it was oh that's a lot more left than i wanted that's not too bad though downhill slope so the pins in line with that group of trees there i'm very impressed with myself this is not normal we switched rolls this is not normal at all oh yeah oh yes oh yeah go keep going that pushed up on the edge i gave up on it before i even hit it just left that's how i sunk it thought i dunked it in case you were wondering what paul meant on the tee the holes are stuck out like that so you just have to hit the cup uh and that counts as making it back side of the green long long ways away it's got the power too much too much oh at the speed though i'm gonna go ready golf ready golf man that was him the whole way oh no zack all right i want you to tap that in all right really straight forward hole over the water and there's green nothing too tricky nothing too tricky exactly oh no that's tricky that's in the water where did that one end up just on the edge on the edge on the right side i think so okay what the heck am i doing i didn't do this all all practice all practice i didn't do this all right looks like we all went in the water you couldn't already see that so here we are at the drop zone yeah i think it was a lot longer than the scorecard set because we weren't even close go in the cup in the cup right side uh off the grid uh far right oh boy did you connect on that thing he went further than you going with the putt off the uh stairway go ball go come on not bad though it's softer than i did all right let's get the stroke back did you miss oh my gosh that's within a centimeter we both missed folks and both have long comebackers so we did not gain our stroke there's also the world's fastest group of golfers behind us all right well that one's in we stay down one we're on hole number eight it's really hard to describe golf holes because they all kind of just go straight with the soft bend left or right so this one's got a soft bend to the right it's a pretty pretty significant water clear this one we know we have to go drivers to clear the water so hopefully we can do that but score so far is um i'm ahead by one we won't say the numbers but i'm up one well he cleared the water you're gonna be in the trees no that's kind of perfect that's perfect wow okay okay folks this is going over the water i'm gonna make it i promise her to hit those trees over there i will say i'm hitting the ground golf is a lot harder to film than disc golf i did not realize until we started this nice shot right where you want to be hit a ground ball i don't know how far it went i never saw a club on that back side so it might have stayed on the green somehow okay a little bump and run we'll be up there green though yeah all right we'll be taking mine wow oh the thing is that doesn't give you any wreath it's the only downfall all right people are gonna ask why i hit that so hard we changed up our strategy a little bit now hunter's gonna lay up i'm still gonna try to make it well yeah it's not gonna blitz it yeah later yeah so go for it hard and then lay up definitely not deep as you can see that was not a great shot strategy is to get it off the ground uh deep or not i really don't care off the ground is all we care about here oh hit mine closer hit it closer oh okay it's definitely going to be deep but we'll be past the green well that's what deep means but at least i got it off the ground so well maybe i did not really whatever oh yeah okay your last two shots are about 25 yards that's what hurts us he has such good up shots actually made it to the green you're just surprised oh he's got a chance go ball okay all right so you just need to hit that slower but that angle right here yeah oh maybe too hard i mean i almost hit paul's club though which is what i said i had to do but it was a lot it was way too hard to say that so hard that didn't break all right let's head over to the disc golf course and see if we can't make up the one stroke we're down now all right we are now here at paul's course for the disc golf version of this challenge um here we are on hole two it's gonna go down this hill and then it's gonna go down probably about 275 feet around there and then little bend to the right in a grouping of trees i'm scared i'm going to hit all this love stuff throwing a forehand i'm going to hopefully throw a summer uh pan around these trees and go from there and you guys are first on the team because you burn yes we did birdie park park we parked that last golf hole to bring it down one so here we go oh that's money first ace oh that's another part it can be parked though nice yeah so none of these t-pads or baskets are in their permanent spot we're just kind of beta testing it so where the basket is now i think once the course is in it'll probably move like 50 feet more to the right make it more challenging but this is good test for us so hopefully i can match hunter's shot here it looked good that's the right line but i think it's short in the creek get up oh no oh no all the way down uh-oh oh holy baby oh yeah all right so this is a beast of a par four basically you're gonna go as far up this hill as you can see and then it's probably another 250 to 300 um up there into like the next group of trees the technical tee will be where zack's standing but they have to cut it into the ground so right now we're playing on this somewhat more flat spot up here and hopefully get one in play oh that was a good line though not horrible i wouldn't wish i could have got that skit over the log but i should be fine where i am what was that no oh no that's five all right tough stance here i'm just trying to get up there and say before way too weak oh that was more of a stable oh it kicked out though all right paul's a little bit off the fairway here all right here we are at our lie a little bit off to the right basket is right there looks like we're gonna try and be pushing a forehand out to the left i think i'm actually gonna try a little bit inside right right here okay hopefully we can see this ah i thought i hit it that's right oh gosh oh god sneaky definitely oh my god you did the same stupid thing and it went in we are now up two strokes feeling confident both of us are uh this hole is going to be straight downhill flattens out at the bottom with ob surrounding the basket with a creek uh going yeah this way like that obviously danger in the middle of some trees if there are buzz os hanging out left come back probably not but i'm trying to paul's laughing back there i'm not laughing hey but that that's a putt that was good going with a buzz ss backhand you try to go on the right side of those trees i think the confidence in this one i don't know maybe the left side that never works out when you have two shot options i think i'm gonna go left i'm gonna go right oh way right okay that process i mean i flipped it over don't get me wrong it flies just like a buzz that sucks yeah but i thought i think i'd suck go with my page pierce buzz these things are pretty beefy so i'm trying to go flex shot hopefully just put in the basket take all putting out of the equation right now get over those get over them those aren't going to be there when the course is in i'm telling those aren't supposed to be there now they just they just grew like in the last month out of a tree stump should be parked oh come on wow wow oh i thought that took too much off of it wow nice layup look at that nice layup so it's within one we got two holes left 16 and 17. i left 18 in there just in case we have a playoff and these guys don't think it's gonna happen but i don't know i got one i only got one stroke to make up so this is hole 16. this one we kind of have a lot of room to move the t-pad around still trying to find the right spot before it's actually permanent but right now it's going to be a big long turnover ideally you want to kind of just get it 3 30 out there maybe have a soft flex but just kind of hold the turn and then have about a 180 foot approach so i think i'm gonna go with uh let me go with the flippy forehand here changed my mind going backhand we didn't really have a tea set now we do and it's gonna be a backpack i hope you are oh that's oh wow they got way over there but i could not see that one tree two one tree away from being exactly where i wanted it but all right you guys are up too far nope oh it might be inside gap though i think it'd be too straight all right paul so let's touch base about that red vine twizzler fine twizzler all right i don't became a hit in the last video we did so i actually did some research as to why some people like red vines versus twizzlers red vines are actually from california they're up made up north by like san francisco area union city to be exactly to be exact i should say and then twizzlers are an east coast thing so that's why i was getting so many votes on twizzlers out here because all my people out here are east coasters now so um yeah you know there's mixed opinions people liked twizzlers because and to be to be fair twizzlers are really good on the the pull and peel or whatever it is i'm a fan of those the regular ones that come in little plastic things not good um and then red vines are just really good maybe we should just get a vote in the comments below i did do a vote on my instagram and it was twizzlers the twizzlers won but i'm i'm still hoping red vine contacts me because red vine also makes sour punch straws and i i really enjoy sour punch straws too so if you want to get on sour candy debate we can do that because this guy this guy over here likes the strawberries more than the watermelon so no watermelon better the strawberry is good the strawberry is new sour patch kids i hadn't seen that before but the watermelon strawberry watermelon sour patch kids are the best have you ever i'm a fan of the sour patch kids in general over the watermelon strawberry so there's there's there's the debate right there watermelon sour patch kids are a thousand times the kids the kids are the best ones nope how about have you guys ever had like those air heads that they're like rainbow strips no yeah yeah i know what you're talking about but it's hard to just get away from the regular airheads yeah so maybe it's airheads i don't know og airheads all right let's hear it in the comments though watermelon sour patch kids or just straight up sour patch kids i'm going with watermelon okay we're up 2-1 here settle in the comments sure yeah a little bit we got a tough either we're going here this small gap or outside very tiny all the way well now that i'm in this and being poked i'm going this way even if it's the worst shot okay just because i'm not getting out back in this so here we go oh this hurts all right i don't even i can't even lean back there's one going into my belly oh son of a nutcracker yeah don't do that oh it's just poking me in the butt a little bit and it hurts yeah you see what i'm saying yeah like it doesn't really like cut you it just kind of stinks nice should be a jumper i missed my gap yep a lot of time i just wanted to make sure i didn't leave it short that's all i was worried about yeah baby that was a big putt i didn't trash talking after this we just big putted paul as you're about to see nice layup all right so this is part four yep all right hole 17 par four you gotta go straight for a very long ways and then it goes up the hill that back hills to the left a little bit um if you can see that long evergreen there paul said it's like 80 feet up left from that so off the tee i'm just going undertaker try to hit this gap flip it up a little bit and then maybe travel a little left in the fairway and go from there we will see hit it ah oh he pureed it i feel like i have to eagle it well he peered it well it's right down the middle now let's see cuz you have to throw him from there though yeah let's see if i can have a window to throw it in oh i like it oh no oh my gosh all right we can pour it from there it's in that's going in oh that that looked close from here look at it it's right next to that did you see it okay we're all in agreeance if paul throws this in we will go to a playoff even though it's his second attempt at it tube left nope sounds
