Konner's FINAL Attempt at Breaking 60 | Disc Golf Challenge

Watch on YouTube

Watch as Konner attempts to break 60 in his final disc golf challenge. With a putting game at an all-time low, he's relying on other aspects of his game to carry him through. This round is being filmed for the end-of-year series, which will see Connor work on improving his performance, regardless of how this attempt goes. The video features Konner's pre-game hype and banter with his team before launching into the challenge. He's using a custom-made disc, the Shaman OS, and is feeling good about his game despite a few drops off the tee. With the goal of achieving a score of 59 or lower, Konner will need to execute his shots perfectly if he wants to break through the 60-stroke barrier.

This is it. The last attempt at break 60. Will I do it? We'll see. >> I feel pretty good. Putting is at an all-time low. Worst putter I've ever been in my life right now. But I'm not going to need it. [laughter] >> I'm feeling pretty good. Putting alltime low. >> Putting does not take residency in the way I feel about myself cuz putting is not a part of the game to me. Unfortunately, it cost me a lot of strokes, but not part of the game to me. I actually understand. >> This is my last attempt, guys. >> There's only two numbers that matters today. Five and nine. And hopefully they're in that order. >> This is my last attempt, guys. I feel good today. It's a beautiful day. The Lord hath shown his face upon me because it's the nicest day we've had in a long time. >> Said we have to stop. He's like, "This is the last one cuz it's the end of the year." And apparently I have to the end of the year. But guys, don't worry. I have good news. However this round goes, and by however this round, I mean if it goes poorly, if I do not break 60 today, there will be a series on our labs channel of me making sure that doesn't happen again. That's just a little sneak preview. I'll tell you about it at the end of the day. >> But you're going to do it today. >> If if we get there, I'll tell you about it. >> But it might not I I'm going to try to break 60 and I feel good. So, let's do it. Shaman off the first hole. Let's go. Thank you. >> That's show. Oh, it got dropped a little. >> Okay. It was a really good line, but it did get dropped. So, that's okay. >> We're hitting lines >> through nose down. So, it got dropped by the headwind. That's never happened to me before. >> Yep. >> Good job, Connor Bear. Good job, Conar. Connor Bear is what we're going with today. >> Have you guys seen that Starbucks bear? >> Huh? >> Oh, you guys don't know. >> It's time. First time throwing this the real Shaman OS. Well, it's not in production yet, so it's not the real one, but this is going to be the the real one. >> Well, it was produced >> stable disc. >> Have you thrown it yet? >> I have thrown one of its kind. >> Okay. >> Not this one. >> Okay. >> Uh but I lost my envy last time. >> Got to throw it. >> Isn't that really sad? >> No, cuz you got to put that in the bag. >> True. Here we go. 234 ft or something. >> Oh, wow. Stable indeed. That's okay. I'll just par this hole. And I will note that that disc is very stable. Oh. >> Oh. Well, >> well, oh well. Oh, well. >> Game on. You know what I say? >> Drip. >> Let's go. >> Drip. >> Let's go. >> I like drip. >> Of like taking an easy hole and giving yourself a really high pressure putt that could end your round like to cuz now we gain momentum. SO, I LIKE THAT. >> You know what's funny? This is the hole that made me decide to take this disc out of my bag. >> Congratulations. >> A measly 5 years ago. Wait, then what are we doing? >> Well, no. It's because I threw it perfectly, landed in the middle of the fairway, and I spent an hour looking for it in the leaves. >> You found it. >> And I found it, and I said that was way too close. So, it was the last time I ever threw it. >> So, if you'd like to know Connor Kennedy's phone number, it is. >> Oh my snap. >> Holy snap. Get lucky. Get lucky. Get lucky. Get lucky. >> Do you feel that snap? Bad line. >> Is your wrist okay? Is it broken? >> Look at this. Forge. >> I usually bogey this hole. >> FINISH IT, CON. FINISH IT. >> YES. >> Come on. [laughter] >> I would hate to be the number 60 today. Passion off the rip. Two. How many feets is it? 249. >> Break 98. >> Look at your feels. >> I I No. Every hole today >> for me. >> I noticed whenever I watched back the last one that I wasn't giving people information on the holes and I felt like that wasn't helpful. That was all that I'm I'm great. I feel signs aren't even accurate. So, here's what I want you to do. I want you to step up the control and tell them how you feel. A fake number. >> I mean, you picked up that disc before you knew how far the hole was. >> So, I played this. I know this course. >> So, tell them, >> but they might not. >> That's what I'm saying. Like, >> I'm going to throw I feel a passion here. >> No, how far you feel it is. That's what I mean. >> I feel like this hole is 700 feet, but good thing I'm throwing 820 today. >> See, now they're in four. >> That's not good. I This hole frightens me a little. I do early release often on this hole, but I can get up and down from there. >> Good effort. >> Yeah, that's a pot. Good effort. >> Dang it. >> Everybody watch out. >> OH, >> WATCH OUT. >> GOSH, >> I wish I had stabbed in the ground. >> Trevor's being so mean to me right now already. He said, "You're stupid and ugly." >> He did not. >> That is what he said. He texted me that. All right, here we go. This is the easy part four. So, we can make it all back right here. I'm not sad because I'm still even, which is totally fine to me. >> Flip your right up the gut. >> Consider your library card. >> Let's go. That's great. That's fantastic. >> I actually did get a library card the other day. >> That's so cool. >> I'm not going to break this walking stick until we make another bogey. >> I didn't know that's what you're That's a touchdown right there, Con. >> Good shot. >> Let's go. That's birdie. >> Not breaking this stick anytime soon. Yes. >> Take a bow. Oh, you just did. No, you did. Okay. Two bows of >> drip. >> Kerianne says to keep your frame very open. I need to give this one I need to not be scared and give this one some hiser so I can get everything out of it. I don't want to throw anything more stable. I don't think >> this sun is playing tricks. Now we're going bright. >> I'm going to go a little bit more stable because I want to throw flatter. Hold. Hold turn. Hold turn. Kick right. Kick right. Kick down. >> Okay. There'll be another little forehand pitch out. >> I'm liking this. >> Good job. >> Golly, Connor. We'll burn to the next one. >> I don't like this wind. it to right to left, which means as soon as I get this disc turning, which I will, I'll just push it down, which means I won't be able to get very much out of it, which I I really don't like. I want to be able to get more of a flex instead of the burning shot that I've been getting. Now, slide for him. Sit. >> Yeah, good shot. >> Good shot. For him, die for him. Oh. Oh. >> Oh, big skip. >> Big skip. >> Big skip. Dang it, man. >> Oh no. >> And there might be another one coming on. >> Oh, come on. >> That was rude. >> That was a uh that will make a four putt double bogey there. Yeah, [crying and screaming] >> there was some there's some fans that showed up right as we were walking down the fairway. And so once we kind of knew that like that having that kind of pressure over that putt that's just unfair. We all would have missed it. >> That's in the past. We got to focus on >> I've been much worse than plus two at this point. So I'm not really >> Well, we haven't faced the beast just yet. >> That's I've been worse than plus two at this moment. So I'm not down. I'm not I'm not dead. >> Well, I'm not birding this one. And that was kind of a waste of everyone's time. >> Hey, we're all thinking it. That's terrifying. That's 15 ft. That's terrifying. >> Nice. >> Casual. Not a big deal. >> All right. >> If we can just birdie or birdie or par the next hole, I still feel okay. >> Shout out to the YouTube channel Hennessy's Adventures. They're the kids that just let us play through on that last hole. They're real sweethearts. They're very nice. Um, and also they're letting us play through and now I don't have to be under pressure anymore, which is really good. I'm going to throw the lady on this hole. >> That's it. If I survive this hole, I get a par on it, then I don't feel that set back because I've been >> Yeah, you should feel totally fine if you >> because if I if I was par coming into this hole, I would think a double, I'm still alive. So, that's how >> Dang it, man. I just really want to throw a good shot. I just really wanted that for myself and for Silus and forever. >> Keep going. Just get lucky and skip. Honestly, >> I'll just step up and throw that thing. >> He's got good swagger. >> I've been working on my swagger lately. >> This is the forehand flex hole. Welcome to the forehand flex hole. >> You are going to birdie this hole today. You are going to birdie this hole today. Connor is going to birdie this hole today. Speaking >> I love the spice. The spice. Sorry. trash bag. >> That was like so good. Actually on the rocks. On the rocks. Shake it and not stir. >> You earned yourself a doubt. You >> actually >> I actually thought I was going to throw a good shot there and then I did it. So I'm going to harness that. >> Yeah. Credit or debit. >> Credit or debit. >> New walking stick. >> Debit. >> That Trevor. No. >> You ever seen Lego Star Wars Yoda? >> Yes. >> This guy does one of those little numbers. >> You're not Yoda though. Then he picks it up cuz he lightsaber. He doesn't need it. >> I'm just going to go all denim here. And >> that was warm. >> I'm full Canadian cowboy. >> Yeah, it makes sense. >> I'm going to go all denim here and um throw an aura. >> Canadian cowboy. >> It's Canadian tuxedo. >> Oh, >> is it also Is that a thing? I don't know. I like >> I'm going to throw an aura here instead of a passion. >> Let me see how that feels. >> Yeah, that's right. >> Yeah. Yeah, I figured if we were unified. >> I would love to do something useful with my life at one point in it. Just at any point in it, I would like to do something useful. My family is ashamed of me. My son is going to grow up with a what do you call the animals with no spines? >> A reptile. >> A spider. My son, I think the technical term is My spider. My son's going to grow up with spider daddy. >> Sun's back. >> Wow. So bright. >> Come on, dude. You might be the goat sauce for that one. >> Okay, sit down. >> Job. We can make park there. >> Oh, come on. You're really lost for that. >> Too hard. So flexible. >> I know. >> I realize that I'm not in a good place right now. >> Oh. >> Um Oh, >> disc golf wise. >> Mentally, I'm actually surprisingly well, but I think I have to lay this up. There's Obie right behind it. >> Like it would just be really unwise. >> Yeah, >> I don't think it would help me. I would agree here. >> Yeah. >> Very good layup. That's the Con. He's making putts. Have you ever seen him make a putt? Yeah. You probably have at least a couple times. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. >> Air Force stamped >> DX rock. >> If you don't have an Air Force stamp disc in your bag, you're a loser. I have one. >> How flat it is, too. >> Do you have one? How flat it is? >> Um, no. >> Loser. >> Well, that's not nice. >> I didn't say it was nice. Just know the truth hurts. >> I hope this thing goes into that tree right there. mean to devise a whole. >> Yeah. Yeah, I said it. >> You know, you shouldn't do that. >> That was a snappy boy. >> Trey, >> I decided that I was going to fall through because I felt myself every other throw. I've gone like this. >> And I said, "Whatever you do, Connie, just follow through." And I did that and I snapped the disc again. I think I'm going to break it today now that I know that. >> Oh, man. I oopsied. I oopsied my pants. >> Okay, >> I could still ace and that would be fun. >> Well, now that I know to follow through, why didn't anybody tell me about that? >> Guaranteed. Guaranteed this is in the circle. If it's not, I'm sorry. Wait for it. Wow. In the circle. Where' the boy get zip from? went to the zip store. >> Respect. >> Yeah, >> dude. Everybody comment down below respect for that. >> I still care. I know that I'm like throwing and it seems like I don't care, but that's me just not getting angry. It's not that I don't care. I'm not >> Conor just cuz he has a harness on his anger. >> I'm not just like throwing away shots. I'm just choosing not to get angry whenever I throw something so bad it looks like I'm not trying. >> You couldn't hit that much more dead center than that. >> Well, I went to the zipper store. >> Throw this rock again. Way up yonder on the Chattahuchi. Never knew how much that muddy water meant to me. One time. >> Lot of snap. >> Lot of bat. >> That was amazing. >> Bet you didn't know I was on the Liberty Stomp team. My friend, >> I'm going to say that's good. If somebody wasn't talking in my back swing, >> no one was talking. >> It was me. My shiny teeth and me. Shiny teeth. Shiny teeth. >> I wish I wish everyone could see where I had to throw that just then so that everybody would gain a little bit of hope in the con. >> Do to you if you miss >> off the tree. >> Birdie par. That's what I call a birdie par. That's wherever you par it, but you LIE ON THE SCORECARD. >> HERE WE are on another hole of disc golf. >> Reasonably flexible. >> I should have blocked it. >> Conor's a cool guy. >> That's a good shot. >> It's a great shot. >> It kind of stabbed down low. Not bad for a muggleorn. >> Now Connor, what was that, brother? I'm not going to lie. I just didn't mean to do that. Hunter got to do like a Oh, we're going to do one more before the end of the year. Do I get one of those? >> No. >> That's not fair. That's favoritism. >> Splash. Oh, you made it. >> Sh. It's a good shot. Well, I kind of need to beat that thing up a little bit. It's kind of stable. >> I think it's still rolling. If we d just dug this up, if we just took the time, we would literally have a million dollars. It's just right here in the ground. >> Real hard. >> Like that is literally so much worth. >> Yeah, it's a lot of marble quartz. >> You were going to cut my Achilles tendon. >> I thought there was a person walking up beside us, but there wasn't. >> What exactly you planning to do? >> Get that right here. And the trick is you want to go like this. Perfect toothpick. >> Yep. No more crud in my teeth. If I miss this, I'm going to run into that tree as hard as I can. But it's not cuz I'm trying to hurt myself. It's because I'm trying to get to platform 9 and 3/4. >> What are WE TAKING THE CAR? >> The boys go loca. >> What? >> Second verse. Second verse is crazy. >> I was on the first verse. >> I was on the second verse about this. >> The snap. Oh, it rolled. >> I'm so bad. Do you >> What should we just go? >> I'm not think I'm allowed to. Trevor, >> we also only have two more holes. >> That's not how it works. >> Yeah, >> but that didn't make me feel better. Whatever crab that was. No, >> cuz you're sad. I don't I'm This is No. >> I'm not sad. I'm just disappointed. >> I can't separate the two. Once I'm disappointed, I'm also sad. >> Oh, >> there we go. >> You start popping off. I'm going to throw this disc on hiser. Heiser pan. I haven't heard a hit a tree yet. >> I did throw it on hiser. >> It hit a lot of trees. >> It honestly wasn't terrible. It just kept on going left into the trees. >> How far down the hill did it make it? Give me a percent. >> Percent. >> Far enough. >> 60. >> Oh, dang. You thought >> You thought made you look made you look. Oh my gosh, >> Connor. >> Not the roll, dude. >> What the heck was that? >> It's not fair that you make fun of me cuz I'm bad. >> Okay, >> last hole. [snorts] >> Wow. This is the end of an era. We've been doing this for almost the best better part of the year. I'd be curious to know when we started. >> It could be. It was probably later than that though. I think it was >> because Trevor checked April is whenever we started. So I've had nine nine attempts. >> What a way to end it. >> Well, I'm sick of being terrible at disc golf. You guys are sick of me being terrible at disc golf. I now am going to take it to Overthrow and I'm going to go hang out with the guys over there at Overthrow and see if they can fix me.
