Lose a Hole Lose a Layer Disc Golf Challenge in FREEZING Temps!
Watch on YouTubeJoin Foundation Nation as they take on the Lose a Hole, Lose a Layer Disc Golf Challenge in freezing temperatures. Hosted by Brody and featuring special guests Tyler and Trevor Birdie, this video takes place in snow-covered conditions where layers will be lost and discs may go astray. The group starts with four layers each to lose, including outer jacket, inner jacket, t-shirt, and pants, but only one person will emerge shirtless. To make it interesting, the duo decides that if Trevor Birdie achieves a birdie, the losing player's layer will be subtracted from their total. With temperatures dropping rapidly from 30° to -16°C, the group must navigate the snow-covered course while managing their layers and discs. Will they emerge victorious or lose all their layers? Watch to find out!

What is good, Foundation Nation? Today we're out here in the snow playing lose a hole, lose a layer. >> Here we are. So, it's that time of year where we normally get absolutely no snow and it's 60°. But hey, >> it's cuz Brody showed up. >> Brody showed up. We had snow on Friday. Almost all melted by Sunday, 5 in yesterday. Today's Tuesday. >> Ridiculous. >> It's about 30° outside right now. It was 16 this morning, so thank goodness we're not out there. And yeah, it's exactly how it sounds. Both of us have all three of us, sorry, Tyler's here, too, have four layers that we can lose. So, we're going outer jacket, inner jacket, t-shirt, pants because we all have short. Everyone else has shorts. I've got a base layer on uh my running layer, but don't worry, I've got underwear under it. >> That's it. You lose four holes. You're down to You're down shirtless out here. It just send it really bad. >> Uh we're going to do it skin style where they stack. We're also going to do it that way, >> are we not? I can change that. I don't think we should. >> We're not doing it skin style. We're doing it just straight up each hole. We are though however doing if you tied to lose the hole. So not if all three of us tie but if Trevor Birdies and Tyler and I par that does count as losing the hole. Um that way we ensure layers. >> There's going to be lost layers. >> I know every time we do a snow video people come after us because we we throw on the teapad here. Uh the reasoning is in Virginia it's going to be 45 and sunny tomorrow. So whatever we do to these teapads won't matter come tomorrow. >> It's not going to be a layer ice for the next >> and also because of that fact no one plays in the snow because we don't have to. So if that upsets you, >> move to Virginia. >> I feel like if you make a par, you're petrified. >> Yeah, you don't want par. >> I don't hate that. >> Also got to not lose our discs. >> That could be very bad. >> That could be fantastic. Yeah, I did. We should have ribboned up the discs, huh? >> Oh, that's terrible. That is so bad. >> That could be a >> And you're never going to find that again. >> What layer are you going first? Like a t-shirt first. Can you choose that? >> Surely not. That was really good. >> Yeah. >> All right, we have two birdie putts. The overall score doesn't really matter that much. OH MY GOSH. >> LET'S GO. OH, THANK GOODNESS. >> OH, THANK GOODNESS. >> We have TO MAKE SOME PUNCHES. >> THAT WAS HUGE. >> YEAH. >> Let's go, baby. Oh. >> All right. Hey, when did we ever all birdie this hole? I believe this is the 219 ft one. >> I don't really have like I have nothing against you guys in this video at all. I just don't want like if we're all warm, that's fine. I just don't want to be cold. >> No, exactly. So, I am rooting against y'all unless you're tying me. >> Correct. Then like whoopy dealing. >> Who cares? >> If I birdie everyone birdie pile on. I don't care. >> But if I par I might flash you mid putt to make you uh 54. No. Okay, that's a three. I got all the way through the woods. I can three that. So, y'all just better not put this under the basket. >> Oh, this is a shaman hole. >> That is also a three. That is also a three. >> If you really want to make it at this company, you probably should you probably shouldn't throw this under the basket. I'm not going to lie. Mid-range from 200 feet. Big arm stall. Oh, it's way long. Yeah. >> Okay, that's at least spark it. >> It's not a gimme, mate. >> Oh my >> Thank goodness. Way closer than I thought. >> Please miss. Do the right thing. Literally, it doesn't do anything for you. It only hurts us. >> Oh my gosh. Also, those chains sound so sick when they're frozen. >> I have to make this Tra. >> Yeah, you do. Or you're getting >> Your destiny's in my hands. >> This would be really nice if you somehow missed this. Well done. >> They do sound so nice like that. Do I have to dance while I do it? >> All right. Well, one layer down. >> This is not Yeah, this >> this isn't bad yet. >> It's a warning shot. It's kind of like >> Also though, shout out Vessie. Nice warm jacket I'm taking off. Fully waterproof. This is my go-to rain jacket, but also this is my go-to outer layer and playing in the snow with my son. I was going to shot him out later when I still had it on, but I don't anymore. She's gone and she's in the bag. You won't see her again. >> If I stay here, not a problem. >> Yeah, that's the problem is that's going to take a lot of birdie. >> Or if the wind picks up, then we have a problem. >> This hole is going to be interesting. If somebody if you make a birdie on this hole, you're a scumbag. >> That's an interesting >> That's an interesting angle you're starting to >> just par in solidarity. >> This isn't a team game, >> I'm just trying to do what I should understand that more than anyone. >> I'm just trying to Yeah, true. >> Oh, why you got to throw it so smooth? >> Oh my gosh. Right up the middle. Shoot, dude. That's bad. >> Oh, that's never seen. >> That hurts so bad. Snapping a disc when it's like 30° out and your bag's been outside in the car all all weekend is terrible. >> Hunter is definitely not making burger, but you might, but I can't really go on this. >> Hunter's probably not making par. The pants are probably coming off. >> Oh boy. It's too wide. >> What an idiot. >> Too wide. >> What an idiot. >> OH NO. >> TERRIBLE SPOT. >> So stupid. >> I guess I just need to accept the fact that like I'm going to have no clothing left and I >> You're going to end up with a t-shirt. >> I can only get but so naked. The sooner you and I like accept that we're going to be in a t-shirt, the better it's going to be for us. >> Yeah, I agree. >> All right, cool. >> Good news, Trevy's going forehand. >> Oh, that's great. >> Four, right? >> Forehandations. >> Did she go A2? >> Oh, it was just into the tree. >> Did you go A2 there? What was that? >> That was That was M1. >> M1. Oh, M1 forehand. Wow. >> Oh. >> Oh, no. If it would have beat >> Hunter might be taking a bogey. >> Oh snap. >> That was great. Wow. Go in. >> Oh, that had to be close. >> Well, I got to make my putt. >> Oh, no. >> I told you it never worked. I know why. You're surprised. >> Oh, Trev and I are down back >> like that. Oh, it got At least it got me a putt. >> He has a putt. I don't think I'm running it. >> You ran it. No. >> No. >> It does suck when I'm making a putt that really doesn't do anything except misery loves company. At least somebody can join me in my peril. >> I'm just trying to get the body so warm that it wants the layers to come off. >> Yeah. >> That I bring so good. >> Yes. >> The way that spit out. >> How did that KICK OUT OF >> OH, thank goodness. >> How did that just kick out of there? >> Cuz I'm the outright loser. >> You lost. >> You could lay up and tie it. >> Correct. >> Cool. on whole halfway through the course. Less than halfway, I'm going to have to take off my sweatshirt. >> Well, I'm going to take off the hoodie because >> Oh, wow. >> because I my better pockets are the low or the >> You think the hands are more important than the core? >> They currently are a lot more like I I can I'm very My hands are very cold. I didn't bring a hand warmer. Um, >> do you want one? I have an extra. >> Yes. >> Wow. >> It's in my left glove. >> Look at that. >> I have a glove. >> That helps because my upper body doesn't feel >> That's a tease for later. I'll say like this is fine. There's no win. Be very toxic. >> Watch out. Watch out Flippy Flippy enough. >> What is that disc? >> That's the Wraith, baby. >> And it got a straight of all time. >> What the heck was that? >> I mean, he threw that on his straight into the left woods. >> Just so people understand. There we go. 33. A little bit of proof for you guys. >> Feels like 26. >> Feels like 26. It's not warm. I'm a real tough guy. Oh. Oh. >> That should be okay. That'll be on the edge. >> Should be okay. >> This is a very important throw for you. Blue stalker. >> Yeah, that's >> great. That's perfect. Let me just watch where this landscapes. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Well, unfortunately, I lost my disc. Uh, we know it kind of came into this general area, but this is tall grass. So, like if a disc goes in, I don't know if I'm get that out. We're just going to kind of play from this general area. And I have to get us up and down to save a par cuz if not, then they're not they don't even have any stress on them at all. >> Ah, long putt. >> A lost disc is not very advantageous for those of us less closed individuals. Okay, that looks fine. Yeah. Okay, that's actually good. Looks pretty good. Yeah, it's a putt. If you make this, Tyler, >> it just puts pressure on Tyler. >> Yeah, it puts pressure on him to lose a >> And I'm making a decision either way. >> Oh, dang. >> Score doesn't matter. I can pick that up, huh? So auto. Is the putt back? >> The putt. >> We'll see tomorrow. Huh. >> Yeah. I mean, those dimes I'm putting with. It feels really good. I'm liking it. >> Trev wanted to get his birdie on video cuz it just doesn't happen often. >> I don't ever birdie. >> It's all right. >> I was about to go pants off because I think that makes more sense to me. I've been using just my hoodie pocket. But I did have the realization that like I have snow on the outside of my shoes and I don't think I can get my pants off over my shoes. So >> you have to take the shoes off. Like >> it's a huge inconvenience. >> I'd have to go like sock balance pant sock back in the shoe. >> Yeah, cuz I'm not going to do this. But there was a part of me that's like heck, I might go tarps off before I even get to the pants just because it's annoying. But that's not going to happen. >> I think for the for content I'm a man of content. I'm going to bounce. >> You can use a tree. No, >> there's like one right there. >> I'm a man of content. >> He's a man of content. >> One time Hunter slipped in mud and landed on his back and got his entire like bag just covered in mud. That was really funny. >> What does that have to do with this moment right now? >> Like the fact that you're about to slip and get covered in snow. >> I have hecka good balance. Where did my hot hand go? There it is. >> Golly, >> dude. Swimming the 50 breaststroke right now. >> All right. Well executed. It's >> one down. We're halfway there. We're halfway there, though. >> Nice. >> This other one should be much easier. You're going to look like such a white girl with >> I don't understand. Do I have good legs? >> With the the leggings and and oversized hoodie is so funny. >> Does it fit? >> Here, I take those. >> Oh, is it your counterbalance? I won't disturb the counter. Oh, what? >> What? My extra sock came off. >> Wait, the extra sock. Both of my extra socks come off. Is there one in the other? >> Oh, NO. WAIT, WAIT, WAIT. I can salvage that one. Thank you. >> Oh, which foot did you put on? >> Yeah. Which one do you prefer? >> We probably Surely the right foot. >> Well, no, the left's already out of the out of the shoe. >> Okay, so >> hole five is like, do you guys have the new Starbucks drink? >> I say, do you guys want me to tell you my Starbucks? >> Hole number five. >> If you need any reals to go viral. >> Yeah, >> I'll say. >> 312 ft hole. This one's tough. I think a birdie will probably outright win this hole. If somebody makes a birdie, they probably win this hole. Oh, get lucky. OH, BOYS. NO. OKAY, GET THROUGH. >> OKAY, I think I got up there to where it's apart. I was almost in the lucky line up there. >> I'm very uncomfortable. I feel naked is what I feel. >> You don't look naked. >> I know. I don't look it, but I feel it. >> Yeah, I I understand cuz your legs like probably feel completely bare right now. >> Platforming. >> It's not, but it is through. Oh, not quite. Okay, those are two pars likely. likely too par. So if Hunter or Helen or whatever we're calling him for the time being >> Oh, he's so good though. Frick. >> Thank goodness. Thank goodness. All right, those are probably three parts. >> Quick shout out before we get to those drives. Today's video is sponsored by Vessie. We've been working with Vessie all year long. We love them and we especially love them this time of the year because, as you can see, there's a lot of snow today, which means a lot of cold and a lot of water that could be getting into your shoes. but not with the Vessie Storm Burst that we are wearing. These are the most waterproof disc golf shoes that I have ever worn. They're very comfortable and this whole time I've been out here, my feet have been bone dry, which is a huge bonus when trying to play in the snow. Right now, I'm wearing the Storm Burst high tops, as you can see, covered in snow, but keeping my feet nice and warm and toasty as they need to. And you also can get the Stormburst low tops as well. I usually wear those during the warmer months. They have both and in a bunch of different colorways, too. These shoes are tremendous for disc golf. Been playing in them basically all year long as we've worked with Vessie. And like I said, these things are so comfortable that I even have traveled in these shoes. I'll wear them casually. They're great all around, not just for disc golf, but we love them on the course. If you want to check out Vessie, there are a few reasons why you should. And number one, it's all the things they provide for their customer to make sure they can be confident in their purchase. Thanks to Vessie for sponsoring today's video. Let's get back into it. God dang. You're kind of good in them though. You're like such a dynamic athlete. You have somebody >> That's unbelievable. Is that the trick? >> That might be the trick. >> Oh. >> Oh, my hand is frozen. That was a bad run. >> Oh, that's sweeties. >> That was really cool. The way the snow just fell off that basket, though. >> I almost missed THAT LOW. >> YOU CANNOT MISS THIS. LOCK IN. >> Thank you. I'LL LITERALLY KISS HIS BASKET RIGHT NOW, DUDE. Oh my gosh. >> Mhm. >> You know what they say about pee? It's warm. >> It's warm and it's sterile. >> That's like the slogan for big like pee. >> What is pe's freezing temperature? >> P. It's warm. All right, this is a par four. It's a short one. If anybody eagles this, I'll literally smack them in the face. Just like let's all make >> I'm going to try. >> He is going to try. >> Let's all make easy birdies and get along. Yes, >> cuz I need someone over here. I need one of the T- stops to stri >> prototype. Ooh, just a little baby turn. A little baby turn. Yeah, that's what we want. That's good. Nice and high. Easy. Easy up and down. That's all we want. That's all we want. >> I'm trying that same thing, but I'm trying to get into the wood line. Oh, no. >> Oh, T, we're alive. >> Dude, that is cooked. Cooked. Cooked. >> I slipped. >> Kind of crushed it, though. Where is that? Oh frick. Okay, it's short, though. >> I mean, I'm proud of that. I went distance grip. >> Could be something to it. >> Oh, no. Oh, you're out. You're out. You're out. >> Friendly roll. >> All right, Tyler's made it out. He's about there. Basket's up here on this hill. Where the freak's the basket? There it is. He basically he has to get up and down here if he wants a chance. >> Oh my gosh. Don't go in. Wow. >> What a shot. That'll do. That's it. Okay. All right. That secures my my layer. >> Oh my gosh. ONE TIME. WHOA. >> That twig. >> It's right under the basket. >> It's not going to. >> That's what you get. You glutton. >> That's what you get for even throwing that part. CONCY. >> So thin. I feel great. >> Money shot. Yeah, you're probably a little warm, weren't you? >> Laying away from me right here, buddy. >> I would go short next. >> I would 100% go short next. >> Yeah, I get them little leggies out. >> Yeah, I got the leg hair for it. >> I agree. No, this honestly it hasn't been that bad. I mean, the embarrassment. >> Imagine took off my pants last and then my legs were shaved completely clean. >> All right, par four. Another short one. If anybody eagles there up, >> oh my gosh. Yeah, I just gripped this Z plastic and it was like I was gripping ice block. Ow. >> Will it turn up? >> No. But it's it's an easy bro. Great >> shot though. >> Yeah, that's actually that's totally fine. >> Oh, yeah. Stayed up. Visible. Jump putt up. Not even your problem. >> Oh, is that way too much turn though? >> Coming out of it. >> Oh, that's a lot of turn. >> Okay, I'll leave it down right. >> Downright lost. >> This is the eagle shot right here. >> A wraith. You need a distance driver to get to this hole. Yeah, I guess he is your baby brother. >> He's a little baby. >> I guess I am wearing the most clothes out of everyone here. >> Oh, >> okay. >> We didn't get here by laying up, son. >> Oh. >> Oh, cute little slip there, baby. >> Yeah, dude. That was like your forehand. >> Built this channel. >> Oh, is that going out of balance? >> Oh, please. Oh, get up there. Get on your horse. >> Slipped. Slipped. >> Please get through. >> No, it did not. >> Did I just hit the basket? >> Dude, that was a great shot. I'm back. You just never stood a chance. >> It's left to film it. >> Don't worry, boys. I brought a baggie t-shirt. I ain't getting the good stuff until I lose this hole. >> I just look like the guy that's going to beat you in the 5K. >> Now with the t-shirt on, you do. >> That's what I'm saying. The baggy t-shirt. Like, >> you went from looking like a Starbucks girl to now you just look like a fast run. >> That's what I'm saying. I'm not going to lie. >> I'm about to beat the pants off you. >> Yeah. >> Like, oh, you're running a 17 minute. That's cute. >> No way. No, no, no, no, no, no. Not even close. That is a par. That is a par. Tyler, if you have any care for me as your brother in Christ, you put this under the back. >> I'm putting this for >> Yeah, he's throwing a forehand. >> I respect I'm bad at forehands. >> Yeah, I'm saying if you're throwing a forehand, we are safe. >> Oh my gosh, bro. I >> mean, not a good shot, but it's a beautiful forehand. >> I mean, like wobble. >> Falcon punch. Oh, that had some oomph on it. Is that going to get there? >> No, definitely not. But that should be fine. >> I've been going down my bag. So, you can see I've thrown all these discs and these are the only ones I have left to throw that just don't have snow on the >> I've got attacked by branches. >> I've only thrown dry disc >> so I'm fine. >> Yeah, there we go. >> I'm going to run it just cuz >> trying to survive. >> Why not? >> Oh, I didn't put any. >> OH NO, THAT IS DIRT. >> Oh my. Not >> too low. Okay. >> Thank goodness. >> Wow. Huge make. Nobody strips for the last hole. But >> if you met you lose the last hole, you're stripping down for the outro at least. >> You have to do a snake. >> We're going to go with old pinky. Take a fast driver PD2 here. And we're going to throw it. Try to get a little skip action. >> Hit that. >> Yes. >> Oh no. >> Oh, we're so alive. >> It doesn't matter. >> Unfortunately, he's just going shorts. >> Yeah, I'm just going shorts. >> Take your shirt off. >> No. Dang it. >> No, I I made it. I survived. You're the only one in trouble here. >> Gosh. >> Tyler, you know what you need to do. >> Stiff sea line. >> Stiff sea line in >> not good. >> Cold is cold. >> Tyler, you know what you got to do right now? You got to put this under the basket. >> Oh my. Oh, >> okay. That's short. Surely surely short. >> YEAH. OH, THAT'S UNDER THE BASKET. OH, YEAH. >> Dang it. Well, there you have it. Drev, you got to take your pants off, too. All right. >> You're sick. >> How much trouble are you guys in for making this video? >> A lot. They say you make content long enough for >> I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt, to be clear. >> No, no, you're in no trouble. the eye. However, >> you look great. >> Thanks. Yeah, you know. >> Well, ladies and gents, that wraps it up. Let us know in the comments if you want to see this again, and maybe we'll bring it back.
