Safari Round Vlog

how's it going everyone hunter and zach here with foundation disc golf um this is a new style video for us all right we're used to doing the face-offs and the challenges and stuff like that today we're trying out a vlog um so we're gonna just go play disc golf falling creek park do a safari round um not a face-off not a challenge just having some fun and bringing you guys along with us so let us know in the comments what you think of this format but uh other than that let's hit the road yeah all right what are you doing getting us focused all right so we got like a 30 minute drive to uh falling creek park and we got to drop something off with paul on the way there um so we'll see you guys when we get to paul's basically enjoy the ride you guys see those mountains over there those two we got one here and then one there those are the two mountains in our logo if you guys did not know that yeah the one on the left the like taller one is well it's actually shorter but it looks taller is sharp top and the one on the right is flat top yeah and they're the like two most popular mountains in the lynchburg area yeah fun fact about foundation we are here at paul's house i just had to give him something real quick and then we're headed out but paul you excited for the tour to start or what yeah i'm ready i only have uh five more days in this bad boy so yep all right let me get out how's it feeling heard it all or no it's super tight when i take it off at night to go to sleep yeah it aches a lot but i got my steroid shots all right and wanna give us a quick tour of the rv it's extremely dirty okay we're gonna clean it right before we hit the road but it's not popped out so it'll be a little cramped a little cramped all right we're going in the rv oh wow i don't know why i've only been in it when it's been popped out and so i was expecting it to be a lot more cramped than this is like mtv crips yeah but yeah we got edition we got this one i mean there was i mean thousands to choose from but we went with this one because one you can walk around two we have harrison so harrison can walk around and three if we're traveling overnight someone can actually sleep back there yep instead because most of them they close so tight we have two pop outs you can't walk through that's gonna say your old one you could barely walk through right when it was closed yeah yeah when it was closed but you can't even be in the back when it's driving yeah yeah because that wasn't an actual rv i like your game choices katan is the way to go these were the ones that were left game of things is great this is the game man these were the ones that were left in here because we didn't play them yeah while we're here while we're here yeah yeah in virginia this is the game this is the game that really started it all this was the original game night game right here it was yeah game of things and then we also got this tv right here too then we got we got as a team way too comfortable with each other yeah we did things yeah things got bad hot dog and all that things get risky fast with the game of things so yeah afraid bathroom shower in the bedroom so nice basically it but the positive is when it's like popped out you can literally hannah does yoga here let's say when this pops so this whole the table over pops out right so basically how how big it is here is how much room there is in the middle no i got you oh because this goes to flush both yeah yeah oh we were in here when it was popped out yeah it's just been a while yeah it was at uh am world yeah yeah yep and then you should see what's in that box in that box up there uh-oh let's check this box out i don't know wait some uh disc golf pins it looks like little macbeth pins look at that and then it looks like there's some double g too oh yeah his moves oh his arm moves i don't know how to make it work but yeah that's about that good stuff just craft pin that's clean yeah i just pulled i just pulled this out from the yard so you can still see the fresh tires oh yeah it was a dry warm day so it's like all right and also if anyone has a jeep that wants to buy some rims let us know all right well let's uh let's head over to fallen creek and play some uh some safari golf all right so we just showed up to the course um we got our got our bags on and we're gonna go play some safari we don't even know what holes we're doing yet um yeah i think we'll like we're doing the winner will pick the next hole okay cool so whatever whatever tea we're close to you kind of pick what basket we're going to from said tea okay so maybe we'll like flip a disc on hole one to decide yeah that's fine and then kind of go from there probably do like six holes so that we have enough daylight guys it is beautiful out here yeah it's gorgeous it's just so calm and it's beautiful it's like six yeah 65 degrees this is a great third yeah and it's 65 out here this is fantastic i'm in shorts i'm i'm in shorts this is crazy all right um well one and as always we are at fallen creek park you want to be here uh sure all right hey siri flip a coin it's tails let me see here you got it let's go uh hole one we could go to this basket over here think that's what we're gonna do we're gonna go to that basket right there whole threes basket hole three silver that looks like a nice hole okay one the whole three silver how far i'd say five something sure five something hunters up first kind of throwing diagonally yeah around that way going with the crank let's see what he's got all right not bad that's a ways out where'd you go it's to the right of that tree over there oh so you're putting no gosh no no short oh 200 out and i i feel like i got a pretty good throw on that though all right she's a waze yeah let's throw this one throwing all the rare stuff look at this i'm gonna roll this in the heck over you know i am cause it is straight head width my next most most overstable disc is the force but that's got no quad go oh no man i didn't trust it enough it's like right where i am all right we're short but we're out there so originally i was gonna go uh like up hole one's fairway to hole five oh oh yeah yeah well the choice um i don't know how to discreetly film but there's people like picking up rocks the rock collecting in the ob section and like hole one um because whole one to five is a hole i've done before and it's actually really fun um i'll just shoot myself this way yeah so i i couldn't uh i couldn't go there but almost to our lie get there go in yeah parked it's a nice shot saddle though oh that flash from chains and normally the flash has changed that means i'm outside the circle back at the basket like five feet away oop i just saw hunter throw his head back oh let's take a look oh you're still walking what happened all right it's up oh and he nails it oh that was beautiful it's because we're vlogging and not in a face-off great shot pressure in this if i can actually putt well for once that's something new that this channel is probably not used to what you want me making long putts i never make long putts i normally put decent but long putts are not normally my thing uh we're going from three c pad no force d bet yeah forest t-pad to five's basket um but this is like a thousand foot hole way way it's way out there yeah it's pretty far uh basically just chuck this first one get in a good spot and maybe you could i don't even know if you can make it to the gap on our second shot can be a big hole yeah um what am i gonna throw do i wanna i wanna be up now i wanna be low because you wanna be able to shoot through that gap i'm just gonna throw it oh my gosh i'm gonna make this a really long haul okay it got through but holy cow that is going to take a long time all right i'm going to do what zach should have done and he even said he should have done it and go low because yeah you can't really get to the gap if you go high yeah so i'm just trying to throw this d1 let's beat up flip her over like i'm going to the yellow basket have it come back hopefully and uh probably do none of what i just said but that's what i'm trying to do see what you got it looks good yeah it's gonna be too flippy though oh we're going in the woods oh i parked a yellow basket if that's where we were playing but we're not but i think that's an okay shot yeah that wasn't bad that's what 465 out there and we estimated about a thousand foot hole so i just got to go up through the gap and see if we can't get there yeah not bad have you ever you've played safari out here uh yeah but not these holes no i just meant in general in general yeah okay just for funsies so safari is fun like it i don't do it often but it's a good time we should try it out some other courses too i don't know i'm liking this vlog style already even though you guys might not but i do yep no idea where that went i don't think it's that bad like i'll get a did they get over this line of trees yeah okay then i'll get a four when's the last time we got out and just had a fun round zach not for a video never since we did foundation just for fun yeah that's true since we opened foundation i don't think we've ever just played a round of of disc golf no i it's always been for face-offs yeah i really don't think and it's kind of weird to like for me to like be talking to a camera and not treat this like a face-off i know but it kind of feels good at the same time yeah it feels refreshing hopefully you all like it and you think it's refreshing because i'm really enjoying this yeah i'm really enjoying this because it's almost like i'm just playing around a disc golf which basket do we say we're going to i don't know if i chose oh you want to choose now we'll go yellow yellow okay of course he chose the one that's harder for me to get to but or go low still hit the gap yeah all right so you'll get a three a four easy four yeah easy four you're gonna try and throw it in yeah he's got his nova out nope easy up shot i'm gonna try i'm gonna throw it in this time okay my other nova okay college disc golf nova by the way yeah basic they did these galactic ones i got a kind of ugly one if i'm being honest but i still like it there it is yeah nope oh man at least committed that that looked good you gave it a shot all right so we're tied again uh which means yeah hunter is gonna oh i got a spicy one the hole i got a good one let's just pick these up because i'm ready to throw this wall i just thought of okay we are next to the basket hole six is t the whole nines basket as soon as you said oh i got a spicy one i said he's gonna do whole 6s tea the whole nine's basket that's exactly what i thought whole nines basket is not this first row trees but that second row trees it's like down on the other side of that like across the creek down there it's a ways away yeah um so we need to go through this low gap uh there this little gap through this high gap here or what i think i'm going to do for the pure fun factor is up and over yeah annie and let it try to flatten out if i have enough room i might throw a roller but i think these trees are too low that's what the crank ss was invented for this shots you just throw high and let it slowly come out yeah hopefully there's no down there there she goes oof that came out like a roller angle okay i heard tree there it is yeah all right that's gonna be tough not as not as good as it could have went but not as bad as it could have went yeah that'll be tough though get over there to the right too straight well dude that kept going that could have went down the hill i got a ways down there that might be like in like towards the middle wow we have a tournament this course that we run every year the battle for bedford um which is may 30 30th and 31st yeah may 30th and 31st of this upcoming year um and we were talking about mandos and so because we're thinking about doing some mandatories for safety because like this is a fairway directly behind me and then the next fairway over is right on the other side of those trees so we've talked about mando's before mandos are for safe mandos are great for safety only as soon as you put them in just to like make it harder be stupid and make it gimmicky i hate them but for safety purposes like you have these two fairways right next to each other that's a good spot for amanda to make sure players aren't doing something dangerous over top of the heads of other players in a tournament setting or even in a casual setting yep i agree so anyways with that said i'm at my lie i do not have anything no you're just gonna throw like a skip shot down there low and hard yeah i mean i could guys i took his phone he doesn't know low and hard low and hard oh skip that oh yeah oh that was sick that was sick that skipped so many times all right zach's in there somewhere hey guys this is the i don't have a shot and i'm just going to throw it really hard kind of scenario oh no what so we're horrible at deciding baskets beforehand so we just discussed and decided to go to silver now that we're both two shots into this this is this was uh that shot right there was bad your drive was good yeah i almost went backwards on this thing but i'm gonna use a zone here what do you guys use for your short scramble shots like this something overstable i'm assuming a zone maybe buzzer wes wait we gotta pause like indoor to let him answer a zone us two all right this is like weird here oh that looks good a little deep right was it really it's on the path up there oh what but like a 20-footer i can't see the basket oh yeah right of the basket can you see it yeah well the camera might not be able to but i can let's try this that better um no well i mean it's about the same distance but it's short man all right gotta make a putt i haven't done that today yet a little wide oh oh did that almost go in no that was like 30 30 short shots short i i can't see the basket still oh there oh okay short zack's behind that's that dear tree let's get where we can see him i'll make this every time after watch but i missed the one time that it actually mattered that one mattered those didn't all right so i still don't think that he knows that i took his phone um obviously he'll figure out you know before we leave the course or maybe not maybe not but he'll see it obviously in this footage um but we'll see how long it goes um yeah we'll see all right so now we're debating um what the next hole should be because i said let's put it all the way on elevated uh you know basket but that's whole like just for reference that's whole 14 and we're on 10 but it is the farthest point away from the starting point of the of and where we are right now yeah it is all the way yeah it's like four probably close to a mile from our cars yeah maybe it'd be really long so i don't know how long i want to make this one because i still need two more two more holes i had suggested hole 16 which between hole 14 that basket zack's talking about and hole 16 is a 400 some foot par 3 and then on like 600 some foot part four so if we play two and hole 16 from here is probably every bit at 800 feet what if we play you know the new hole where it like shoots down into the woods yeah what if we played one of those baskets i'm trying to think where they are okay that's just to the right of hole 16. okay so let's complete that yeah okay all right this is gonna be it's gonna so is it my tea still your tea well have we have we done this i don't know if we did i think we never made the hole so exactly here we go wait that didn't make pasta no you didn't make the corner wait what hold on how'd that not make it past this that's past the woods right that one is looks like i threw the same thing okay this is gonna be long um there's no real way to film this shop i can go up there well i don't even think up there because it's probably not gonna work but i'm gonna try to throw a flippy disc on like this much hyzer and it'll like as it goes around the corner it'll slowly flip up hopefully it's good because now we can't see it so oh i heard it hit something you didn't like it did you i went through the first gap by accident because it flipped up faster wait which gap you went straight ahead yeah no way you flipped up the flat you went straight ahead and it hit that tree on the right and dropped straight in the crick no way yeah can you spell for me that what you just said dropped straight the creek creek c-r-e-k what did you you said cricket hopefully that gets me back over to the open somewhere hopefully hopefully that was a good stretch what happened hunter i lost my phone are you serious i'm dead serious it was in the side of my bag it was right here liz is gonna kill you well it's time to retrace all my steps all right that sucks um i guess i'll you want to check there and i'll go backwards before you start walking i have your phone do you really yeah when did it fall out it didn't you just took it yeah you'll see it in the vlog and before when you were going to the bathroom i like put it on myself i was like you know he still doesn't know i have it like because i'm always scared it's going to fall out because just chilling in the side pocket yeah wow well that was good okay yeah here you go this is completely pdj legal by the way yes anything that is hindering you and a part of the course you're allowed to just say no i'm going to break you exactly that's a rule 102 a section 3b the amendment i heard a tree i hit a tree somewhere over there nice layup all right so hunter is down in there found his disc we're gonna be going to a basket that is oh he's throwing hopefully you saw that i didn't know he was throwing um basket is right in there right behind this tree um we don't even know if it's the correct one that i was talking about it's probably not but taking a long time to just find the basket at least left should putt though yeah i think so so hunter will make this and then we'll tie again nice butt thanks thank you as he thanks the crowd you know let's just go uh 18 to nine yellow basket okay so just oh nine's yellow so over there okay cool right down there so like uh all right i like that shot that'll be fun did you make it over yeah but it's gonna hyzer out way too early but that wasn't bad it should be in the open yeah i think i can three it yeah that was that was pretty good but if i try and roll it over the bridge you won't do it okay i'm gonna roll over okay so folks he says he's going to roll it over the bridge which is facing the wrong way which is not going to work on any planet but he wants to try it i gotta do that again i mean you hit the bridge i did i've got two raptors that no that's left last one that's left again well that one jumped it wait i don't have any more discs to roll we're picking up yeah guess what happens when you're playing safari uh you have to contend with the other people that are here so they sat down over there so we're just gonna have to pick up all right we're on the last hole uh we didn't finish the last one just people in the way they're sitting on the bench directly where i wanted to throw yeah so this is hole 20 but we're going to go to the practice basket which is through this field over the pavilions over the path we're going to play up here just in case someone is in the pavilion so we don't like go straight for it right now now that we can make it there but um and then to the cars and then head out of here got some wives to be home too hunter said that my roller won't go farther than my forehand so i'm gonna throw both i'm gonna see we're going uphill i'm gonna stand right here all right here we go yeah well that felt really good yeah that went pretty far yeah all right now let's see i don't think i don't know that one was pretty far that might be pretty close there's a lot of golfers out now yeah there is there's a lot of people out here there's like four groups if we look over there oh wow yeah popping out here oh no that's okay it might skip into the pavilion oh yeah but i don't think you would do it oof there was people walking before you know what yeah no yes there were people walking through that path walking but i watched her walk away before i threw she did okay so i was right zach's forehand was farther right here not by much though not by much but it's also in a much much better position than my shop which is in that pavilion next to my bag so zach has a chance to win this uh not face-off vlog fun round that doesn't count for anything no all right things are going to slip out from underneath me and he leaves the door open i tried to throw that so hard throwing it with anova folks have you ever seen a roller thrown with anova here it is he made it through okay that is not bad wow what held really straight dude you made it all the way up yeah just flip over no but you're pin high go nope that was embarrassing yeah it was it wasn't even a run oh now that was a run yeah the first one i didn't know how much power i needed the second one i threw hard all right
