Welcome To Foundation Disc Golf

hey guys hunter thomas and zach viscardi here we're two of the owners at foundation disc golf which is a disc golf pro shop and online retailer coming in early 2019. so the name foundation disc golf came from the inspiration of building a strong foundation on a solid rock this applies to a lot of areas we want to help people build a strong foundation in their disc golf game we also want to provide the tools necessary for them to grow as a competitor and we also want to provide a strong foundation to pros on our sponsor team to grow their touring careers and farther use disc golf in their communities we will do this by having stock discs custom discs we will also like hunter just said have a sponsored team we will also host tournaments we also vendette tournaments and we will be doing a lot of things in the virginia area and especially the southeast so hunter and i have always had a desire to open up a business and we met each other on the liberty university disc golf team just a few years ago and we used this passion for disc golf to create a company together yeah and with this company we want to help the local area grow we want to provide kind of a central hub for everyone to be able to come to shop around play the course and we also want to be able to host tournaments weekly events vend at other people's tournaments and just grow the sport in general in this area another one of our goals is to help grow the sport outside of this area through social media we're going to be creating a lot of content getting deep in the minds of pros uh helping you guys you know on the mental side of the sport as well as with farm issues and stuff like that and we really just want to see the sport grow as much as possible both in virginia and outside of virginia as well yeah so some of our goals here at foundation disc golf um after we establish ourselves as an online retailer we hope to have a brick and mortar store um on our property so we do plan on doing that within the next few years as well as a course on our property where we can hold tournaments weekly events stuff like that what else hunter yeah we also really want to um kind of be a bridge for the pros that are right on the edge of becoming great players and we want to be able to provide them with the means to tour and get their name out there by doing custom stamps helping them with their entry fees and stuff like that you'll be noticing within the next few weeks as we unveil our sponsored team you'll see that partnership kind of developing with some of the players and that's just one of our goals to continue to grow that side and just help players who need help on tour get their names out there yeah so beginners our main focus is getting them with the right tools in their hand the right discs helping them to know which discs to pick we're also going to have disc reviews that are geared towards different skill levels so that means that no matter what your skill level is you'll be able to look at the review see how the disc is going to fly for you before making an educated purchase um we're also in our podcast and through our youtube channel going to be addressing a lot of issues that we faced as beginners and that i'm sure you know a lot of you out there face as well as screening questions and just being open with you guys and just helping you through this journey that we're continuing on and that you're beginning on right now yeah so we're stoked to have this opportunity to partner with the next gen tour um to be their vendor on site at pretty much as many tournaments as we can make it to we're already reaching out to people up north out west just trying to see how we can get there and get discs there for you guys to buy to help provide the payout and stuff like that we're also looking to run some of these in states that either haven't had them previously or is just falling down a little bit so we're looking to really partner with them and help grow the next gen tour because we see that is a huge benefit to our sport having an amateur tour especially one that you win a car in that's crazy and we're just super excited to be able to partner with them in that way so as we are looking for people out west and up north or anything like that to help us with the vending process comment down below let us know if you know somebody if you know a td or anything like that that would be interested contact us we can talk about it and you know possibly send you guys out some disks to help us be a vendor under the foundation name so we could spread the name around the united states yeah so outside of discs we're going to have apparel as you've seen these shirts we're going to have our apparel the foundation disc golf we're also going to have team member apparel with their custom logos on it we're also going to have water bottles i mean pretty much anything we can come up with we're gonna do to help you guys improve your game hats beanies we have stickers whatever you guys want honestly you guys will tell us and we can just work with you guys we're really here for you we're not here for us so you guys let us know and that's how we'll definitely get new stuff out there yeah yeah so running events we're really looking at courses in this area specifically that haven't had events run at them this area has a lot of c tiers we're looking to bump those up to b tiers and possibly even some eight tiers in the coming years we also want to partner with the events that have already been established here and help them grow help the payout be higher help them have better players packs and all of that stuff and take a lot of stress off of the td i've run a lot of tournaments i know how much work goes into it and i'm looking for ways to help the td you know be more profitable and also have a lot less stress on them at these events we're going to have you know pretty much all like stock trilogy discs discraft disk prodigy gateway as well as our custom stamp stuff we're looking to also partner with some of the like more west coast brands like innova and legacy and stuff like that but all that's just kind of in the works so starting out don't be expecting that but hopefully within the coming years that's those relationships will start to form yeah thank you guys for watching you're not going to want to miss what we
