welcome everybody to the final round of the fifth annual buffalo run disc golf tournament this is sponsored by native disc golf legacy discs and DGA disc golf my name is Gabriel Dao and I'm here with Bobby Cox how's it going everyone and we've got a pretty fun little card for you guys today Kevin Jones pulling ahead he shot a really hot round last round well as well as a local favorite Billy land hammer Lund Billy one yeah we also got a Kota Hatfield and LG aka el chisel on the card starting off we are at hole 1 this is a par 4 540 feet and I believe the layout is actually the exact same as last round so nothing too different actually nothing different at all but uh yeah like last round this hole you'll be seeing a lot of Heiser's there is an up the gut turn over shot as well we'll see what these guys do yeah and that little submit trench area is OB it is along with the road behind the basket mm-hmm and as you can see the wind is not near as bad as last round nothing can be as bad as I yeah the the weather was nice restaurant last round but the the wind was just awful but this round the weather is perfect and then the wind just went ahead and matched it and we have a perfect day of disc golf here yeah hopefully a lot of good scores Kevin is gonna find the ob Creek there Kevin shot the hot round 52 last round gonna be trying to get down to the 40's this round bit Lee aka the land hammer there's still it ball allosaur and it just looks so effortless yeah and he's going for at all oh yeah and that right there is why they called them the land hammer ladies and gentlemen just a 540 foot all hyzer shot yeah he's won multiple state distance competitions I'm pretty sure yeah yeah he's uh he's pretty well-known in the area for sure along with this guy Kota Hatfield yeah he's not shy to be on a Lee card Mona he is pretty familiar with being in this situation he's trying to play the safe route and he finds dovey yeah him and Kevin both just threw it just a little bit too long oh geez sponsored by Westside discs along with code Hatfield and he's going for that I like that turnover shop and he looked like he might a cut role though be there as well yeah I think he touched the in bounds on that side the OB so he will be putting yep and that's looks like Billy stayed in as well he's that was a great shot yeah it was 15 feet from the basket it's pretty nice starting to round off with the bro with the eagle yeah John can give us a good bid yeah just need it a little bit more right he'll be tapping that first par cool went in basically right where Kevin went in yeah say but now also be for a par and LG you know he's running this scary putt that downhill slope heading towards OB oh man that is okay that's that Billy for Eagle and that is just left that's unfortunate to see you'll still take one stroke from Kevin but could have been - yep and everyone else is just gonna have to tap in for their pars sure Billy's disappointed in that putt but he's still got a stroke on the card can't complain about that good with the tap in with Kevin in Kevin's put on a fantastic performance at this tournament so far yeah yeah just doing really well yeah an LG for the par as well all right we are on the hole - this is a par 4 it's 757 feet same position as last round you've got two routes you've got the turnover shot that you kind of have this landing zone right here and you'll have a easy little forehand or backhand hyzer shot to the basket or you can take the right gap over the road with the gaps a little tighter over there you've got some trees in the way but it's equally a doable shot so yeah the one thing you really don't want to do is get trap on those trees on the left side go for the turn over shop mm-hmm you need something to stay turning pretty much the whole way yep looks like Billy's gonna be lining up the Heiser over the road not surprised and that looks perfect yeah I can get around those treason yep he just made it past and he's gonna be in a great spot and that is casual water by the way he's gonna be left with about 200 feet to the basket Kevin's gonna try and break up as much business as possible he's turn that over nicely they can keep I don't have it behind those trees yeah that's not a good spot like last round we saw I believe Matt house get behind there and it's just so hard to get to the basket from that part so many trees gotta throw something tricky the code is throwing go the roller maybe no that's like sign out sign disc has got some stability to it and that was a great shot as well LG LG throws so fast yeah everybody I think we missed one or two of his shots cuz it really is amazing like he just like steps up looks at his line and then goes for it and there's really not anybody in the game that can do it like LG does it he's in playing disc golf for so long yeah muscle memory yep no it's great and he's parked that oh yeah he'll have a easy little tap-in bird and Kevin is they always gonna do here yeah he's in jail he's gonna try to go over that railing with a forehand and just Nick's the railing tough man goes all the way over the fairway into the out-of-bounds how unfortunate is that yeah that's not good especially knowing that Billy's right in the middle of fairway yep yeah Billy has a good look and Coda's just going with the thumb ER and that's well done right below the basket yeah I'm sure he was just trying to stuff it in that hillside here's Billy after a fantastic Drive he's going with the Heiser and that'll do he's just a little bit short but he'll have a look at the basket for his bird here's Kevin's four shot after they go Nobby Oh gets happen for five barely really this paint really for two strokes on Kevin OH just left it low and that really is the tricky part of those uphill putts is you're trying to think throw it high enough but then you're also trying to think don't throw it low so own it you know yeah you know still warming up the putter yeah I know whenever I'm playing at the tournament in the first couple holes I'm usually missing short mm-hmm not quite putting enough on it because I miss too bad confidence yeah once you get the confidence roles now it gets going it's everything with voting yep and that's an unfortunate for from Billy but he stole the mix and we are on hole 3 same layout as yesterday once again this holes short but really tricky you're dizzy yeah you've got so many trees just bright in the middle of the fairway so you have to throw something like 14 flags or just anything you can get past these trees to skip right up to the basket which is on this elevated tree stump thing is you really would just want to throw high enough to get around that and he'll yeah because I mean it's it's hard coded as playing the ultra safe route I'd say it's the biggest gap initially oh definitely so he's not gonna be able to get a two from there no especially he's real found a tree yeah and that's the widest gap LG know what the turnover Wow such a hard shot it was such a skinny guy that works as long as it works you can have a long look for the two and you oh you're up shot to be as close as possible with that scary hill and really like you're okay with a 30 on this hole or sure cuz in that Sidewalk so V so you got a bunch of factors yeah you're trying to play this hole clean yep and that's looking pretty clean yep yeah really had a great year out there a little turnover Kevin got shocked though forehand just right over that hill and he made it through yeah look at that shot that's Perot yeah that's exactly how you're supposed to do that it's how you want to do it and whoo that was almost a scary roll weight and I still yeah this shot it looks super hard likes forehand up there Wow and that work that touch game is insane yeah he's got a great just touch on his forehand Dakota Billy can I try to run this possibly I don't think so though that's just such a dangerous putt - oh yeah I mean if that catches edge you're rolling OB but this is one we have to run sadly yeah yep yeah Kevin's gotta run this one that is a great putt from Kevin and that is why he's top 20 in the world everyone oh yeah he's gonna get a stroke on everybody yeah I bet there's only maybe three birdies that round on this hole yeah this is you don't see very many birdies the gap is just so small mm-hmm that's kind of a scary but when you're like directly under that stump it's almost better to be like 5 feet back then yeah right yeah thank ya Kylie unless you're Billy one tall he's by like what six five yeah I saw a lot of guys like turbo putting it in yeah I think Emerson Keith yeah just to make sure all right we are on to hold for this is a par three 415 feet the basket is sitting up on this mound straight ahead and you do have the pond that would be right but nothing too dangerous on that left side which is why you'll see mostly four hands on this hole but then you have the guys that will throw through the gap on the right side just on maybe a flat fairway try and get it as close to those rocks or on the green and yeah yeah that's play decently uphill so you really gotta crank on it yeah other than that just try to Jamie into those rocks and see if you can get a putt yep and cat he's gonna switch it up from the first round and throw the hyzer yeah he's doing really a perfect forehand shot about 30 left of the pin yes it was pin on it yeah and that was equally as good of a shot he's gonna be right behind the rocks there I'll have a little bit of an uphill putt oh no and I was just gonna say those those trees can't get your way yeah and that's why that's the risky part about going through that center gap there is that gap is so much tighter than that left gap but LG has no problem that's the purpose stepping right up there looking at it and execute oh yeah and he's right behind those rocks he's gonna have a pretty easy look for two and LG is one of the nicest guys and the disc golf community oh yeah he's awesome every time I see him he'll talk to anybody and everybody oh yeah yeah he's definitely well-known especially here in Oklahoma Billy does his little bit hi looks like but but it turned right yeah he just got a work turned over just a little bit too much for him and he's gonna have a difficult putt as we saw Emerson Keith last round was down there and it's it's not fun down there it's weird seeing someone throw a up shot on the sole yeah it was gonna be about pin-high but quite a bit left quite a bit left yeah might be circles edge and this would be a huge putt for Billy I mean he's right on the pawns edge there oh good bed yeah it was a good bid gonna be able to top in his three coated with a scary putt yeah that's it there's a lost very puzzling scores yeah almost every putt is scary yeah that's great what is safe yeah he needed that well done Koda and it looks like we got Kevon next 23 footer little bit uphill mm-hmm it's taking his time uh he left it just left and it seems like most of this misses this tournament have been am side yeah good Popeye oh gee great birdie solo birdies although Bernie yeah yep take the solo birdie get a stroke on the card alright and Billy tapping in his par yeah and you know you're not too mad about it's not all yeah especially where he was at just for something being balanced yeah exactly but a hole 5 this is a par 4 480 feet it is a big dogleg right you won't really see anybody getting all the way there or trying to get all the way there just because there's so much in the way it's a really funky hole with all these trees right here yeah no line to the basket yeah you'll see a forehand or it turn over shot just to get into this landing zone right here and then as long as you have as as long as you're kind of in those trees like to the left it should right at them and you'll have a really easy look at the basket yeah it goes from trying to dodge you know 70 trees to no trees yeah exactly an LG looked like he was trying to maybe line up a roller and that's pretty much where not everyone but that's pretty common spot the land yeah and it'll sure don't have an easy look there yeah exactly and I think Evans can go big Amy this is looking nice just catches a tree that catches the tree and that's that's typical for this hole he'll still have an easy look there and Kota throwing a lower turnover looks like Maya slipped a little bit to my just slipped or might have been going for the roller if that manda wasn't there you best believe Kevin Jones and Billy one would be taking the visor oh yeah which I kind of wish that mando wasn't there because that would be really fun to watch it'd be really hard to film though it would and Billy had a really good shot there hey get on me and go under the branches and that's really well done that's a fantastic shot and LG has like fantastic fantastic scrambling game oh he does LG I feel like every time I'm at a tournament that he's at I hear about him either throwing something in or acing or like just doing something crazy he's always doing something crazy I know for a fact he leaves at least once before our tournament Yeah right or right the morning before that matter yeah you'll be walking and you'll be like what's up og he'll be like you up just a seventeen your slave what Billy's gonna have to go patent-pending snail it's yeah that looks a little short he's alright have that putt just short bring some together down Billy these two strokes back from Kevin now Kevin with a good bird as well and LG actually won 11 tournaments this year that's not a good that's a ton of tournaments one yeah he's he's got it dialed in oh yeah he kills it hole six this is gonna be a part three you've got this straight gap right here as you can see which is your typical play you're going to see anything from overstable fairway - even high speed driver and having skip back left towards the basket but you don't want it to skip too far left because there is a creek to the left and behind the basket that you can avoid but yeah I wouldn't say yeah don't play don't play for this get just those on straight and have been naturally skip left and you should be in range yeah yeah a lot of drives do end up in this little bundle trees right in front of the basket mm-hmm and this low branch kind of gets in your head too right uh yeah it does it looks like he's put that out wide enough yeah look a little bit yanked but it's gonna go pretty good yeah it's coming back look II just a little deep and he's gonna end up in that Creek back there and he's gonna have a difficult look as you can see there's a little bunch of about five or six trees yeah he's gonna have to putt through those Kona's a little bit high that's coming back nicely and yeah that's extremely common to happen yep it just cuts a little bit too early and finds all those trees he got Billy see if he can get one up there that's looking good nice and low well yeah and he found that bunches bundle of trees as well Oh No LG oh it's alright yeah he's mean really real short he's looking at about 230 foot up shot here it goes oh oh oh what's and he skips it straight into the basket what was I just saying exactly that mission every turn he does LG does some crazy just does weird stuff and I love it look guys I smile yeah I do this like well don't know G Evans have enough time and that was an awesome shot and right LGL is awesome because then try to fold that up and sadly branches just keep this low yeah yeah that's a hard putt and speaking of hard putts this is yeah any know if you ever play as hard if not more difficult if you air ball you're potentially going all without didn't like just low tough pot as well stays up yeah I just slipped out of his hand they're nice I'll salvage the par though bars okay yep so it's LG the old baby that's what Elsa baby say ironically LG from 240 feet away as the lone birdie that's all right we are on the whole seven this is a par four 600 foot this is pretty much throw something dead straight with a little bit of turnover to end up in the fairway there's this little gap to the left right here as you can see but the bigger arms will be throwing over the top just a big ol flex shot to just avoid all the trees and have it land right here in this dead center fairway to have an easy up yeah and there is OB that lines the left side of the fairway as well yes and that is marked by spray-paint I believe yes yeah this is not an easy hole it's easy to catch those trees yeah the drive is definitely the difficult part yeah if you have the arm you can go over the top you know and LG just turned it over too much out of his hand that's the one spot you don't want to be and that's actually that Creek that Kevin was putting from last hole and LG's gonna be down there no shocker here having a little huge and it's looking great yeah that'll work yeah I might have some branches to contend with on his up shot but that is just fine Kota trying to copy that line and that looks really nice oh no he didn't quite get up he got it over the second round yeah or the fruit yes keep thinking this the same yeah final round I'm sure he's going over the top as well no no which shocked me as well and he's gonna be right there with LG and Kota I mean that is kind of awkward throw we don't like huge any forever I mean if you know something yeah I don't it's it's a weird shot yeah cut it with a decent up there he's gonna be a little bit short we find Rio can be much from there yeah that's that's such a hard place to be LG with the best look of the the Creek brothers and that was looking nice but it also got shot down by a tree yep he finally has an open look yeah this so pretty far away though this tunnel is pretty tight you do have to keep it really low man I think was very forever yeah yeah that's what you want on that so straight know what that was yeah okay just a little bit short you should be able to knock that one down and Billy just really I miss release there yeah do it way too low he's gonna be a little bit left he coded with a long look to save his bird yeah that's very far away yeah what's he running there did you just look like you just laid that I couldn't tell Ben might have been a smart play there heyo a justjust inch little bit from too low too - hi hopefully you can balance it out Kevin's been making these putts all tournament oh and Kevin just high as well and he's not happy yeah I mean he had a heart for a pretty rough start that unfortunately kicked a hole - it's just probably when the craziest OB has ever seen LG with a really uncharacteristic miss he's gonna have to settle for a bogey Kevin with the par and Billy settling from bogey as well yeah unfortunately buggy yep all right we are on to hole 8 this is a par 4 519 feet you've either got a forehand gap on the left side or a straight to highs a shot down the gut pretty much just want to get clear of these trees just avoid hitting these trees at all costs once you make the clearing you have a really easy downhill up shot to the basket you can just tap in your thing yeah this have a lot of a lot of poles out here where you're more than trees off the Tina's family white up and up shot but yeah just gotta get that distance control and love shot and she'll be able to tap in for birdie yep yeah Kevin but Kevin's gonna do something crazy here and go like oh yeah I didn't even see that there's a reason around ya didn't make it very far yeah that's a tough line I'm surprised he went for it yeah I think he's like on the edge of the trees yeah you might have a couple in his way but he got down there a decent amount yeah it looks like Kota found a tree as well yeah which is Oh as well no one's out there so far let's see if Billy can gather you get off yeah yeah yeah weren't he's clear it's not great but it worked yeah like I said once you get past those trees you have a pretty easy up shot and LG hits another tree the only tree out and the in that open air yeah just didn't give himself a good look there and this is still like what four for 20 it's still pretty far I'd say I'd say about 3:30 any so yeah so those trees carry about 200 feet at least yeah Kevin luckily does have a high star out to the basket it works out pretty well and he's gonna lay up perfectly and that red tree right there Kota caught last round so that kind of gets in your head a little bit you know Billy's gonna have a great shot as well yeah probably Firebird G up with the forehand don't something really over stable well far but that's Ana's ranch yep go just got a long look here about 40 feet boom dead center and that is an awesome putt he's excited about that one oh yeah yeah these guys are just they're just straight up trying to get birdies at this point trying to catch up with Kevin which is hard to do I get it especially on a long course like this yeah when you can just throw over everything and he sneaks that through yeah almost little though yeah Billy's rocking the beard now yeah start growing that out looks awesome yeah I told him he was trying to get like me hold nine this is gonna be a par three this is 333 feet you've got Amanda on the right side so it outlaws the forehand over the road route so you'll see a lot of low over staple skipping shots or even a mid-range something that will just float left to this basket this greens pretty treacherous area treasure yeah it's rocks and there's Hills so yeah sometimes you'll think you parked it and then you walk up there and it's you know rolled down another 60 feet yeah this shot there's perfect yeah and well that's because it is perfect yep bull's eye he actually was lucky to hit that tree there behind the basket cuz I was gonna skip yeah fifty feet past it oh yeah hi sir come on back he's gonna find those rocks there's all kinds of little rocks around this this green yeah you're hoping for a skip shot but it's started sometime you did you skip mm-hmm really puts out a nice shot there that's not gonna really good as well a little bit of just a little bit too much oh nice Roland okay yeah that's gonna be a terrifying but yeah it's a straight putt you're gonna drop off right behind the basket now G looks like he released a little bit early but it's fighting through mm-hmm oh it goes deep too yeah he's gonna be right there by Billy hope must have stepped up and just went on that one yeah scary run yes Kota needs this one I'll say back to bag ice left it's a good bid though yeah fantastic birdie bye Kevin yep I hope you said thank you to that tree there yeah yeah like that I mean this hole can be really easy sometimes or really treacherous and for bilious treacherous yeah looks like he got a fortunate rollaway he's gonna have to tap in for the bogey and he knows he needs to turn it around for the back nine yeah definitely LG's tapping in the parse well Kevin's got the lone bird yeah and that is gonna conclude the front nine of the final round of the fifth annual Buffalo run disc golf tournament Kevin Jones is now six strokes ahead of billion Kota seven ahead of LG so these guys
