welcome to the fifth annual buffalo run disc golf tournament this is the back nine this is sponsored by legacy discs DGA disc golf and native disc golf my name is Gabriel Dao and I'm here with Bobby Cox how's it going everyone and we have a pretty good round going for you guys Kevin Jones is kind of pulled ahead of everyone yeah especially in these last four holes he hit a great putt on 9 to pull ahead another stroke but he's four strokes ahead of coda and Emerson and then Matt house just kind of had some bad luck on that front nine he had some spit out sand and also some bad cakes and the wind really hasn't been treating him well at all but hopefully he can make a little comeback here but I'm hole 10 we have a par 4 it's 388 foot and I know that sounds short for a par 4 but this hole is not an easy one no not at all yeah you you pretty much have to throw something straight down this little tunnel on the initial tee shot and then you want to get to a landing zone where you'll have a clear shot at this little island because I mean you really just want as clear of a shot as you can because it's it's not easy to get onto that island and there's no like obvious cap off the tee either you know there's a bunch of small gap so you can choose from yeah I mean there's that one right down the gut but but I mean it's not it's not that big yeah those biggest other gaps oh and I found one right off the tee that's me a super tricky upshot yeah ob right from the basket you also see some Tom hawks and Gummer's over the top of these trees some photos yeah that's the real safe play oh and he gets a fortunate kick kick Oh kicks all the way on up and oh no he's gonna find the pond behind the basket Wow that wouldn't oh my god that I was insane it's very rare to see disks get all the way to the island from the tee absolutely that's in the perfect spot yeah he's gonna have an easy up shot there how long you know how you run this do you run that green it looks like he's trying to spike something yes biking in there that's all you can do Oh nightmare situation he has found the ob Creek and that's unfortunate especially how Kevin safe so yeah this is laying it up it's tricky little jumpy short it Kevin's got a little jump putt for the Eagle yeah let's see if he runs this looks like a run to me oh yeah good there's a little bit right but yeah kind of scan try and salvage his par and it's just left in that house so if the great drive just went a little bit too deep yes they got the meter put yeah caught a perfect skip on that concrete and just ended up OB but he's got to look for birdie the wind was pretty bad on this hole too it's not a fun Holden I keep saying that because you're right yeah he ends up just a little right he was lucky not to bounce out of bounds yeah here's Emison verse three yep his first bird nice but well done I love this fighting style it's so graceful and yeah and that's got like a 20-foot comebacker here yeah not the party wants after that spit out sure he's feeling a little sketch with these baskets and putting in general mm-hmm like a sink sit in yeah that's a confident pot yeah that's a great par save yeah Kota this is to save his bogey yeah the unfortunate bogey had a good looking up shop I didn't quite get this skip that uh Matt still oh wow she's got that putt nose up and it just rose all the way up there for a second it looked like it was just gonna fall straight back down into the basket huh it's completely vertical in the air yeah good birdie by Kevin help continues the Shred code yeah it's gonna have her settle for a double bogey and Heath not happy especially with that putt yeah it's crazy how close they were and just all that separation all of a sudden yeah this course will do it man oh yeah Indian we are on to hole 11 this is a part three 285 foot just a short easy must get birdie hole you do have the opie behind there's a sidewalk run along and if you go across that your OB there's a creek to the right but nothing too crazy on the left so some of these guys will be thrown Paton straight putter shots you'll also see a forehand or a hyzer line around the outside pretty much whatever you want to throw or are comfortable with to get to the basket yeah like on the putter shot because you can bail out and left out the highs are a little bit too early you know yeah yeah with the putter it won't highs hurt too much so you're still gonna have a look at the basket which is what Kevin's running up there to you know mm-hmm anything I've even seen people throw a skip shot on the pavement OB let's give it back in Kevin just thrown those flip-up putters and that is just textbook Wow and he's just known for that they're one those putters like a madman just perfect nice like that off yeah a little bit yeah he's gonna have a long putt it's to be a scary scary run yeah that's looks like he's lining up to Heiser yeah this is a little bit scary with that tree right there off the tee always going with the skip shot Wow that's why I've seen before I didn't even see that he did that yeah that's all I'm saying I've seen that before when I was there that's that's crazy and this is an interesting place so just throw on a summer so what are think yeah if you got it get it to the basket yeah yeah whatever it wouldn't whichever way you want Emerson's gonna have to put through these trees yeah I don't know how you run this you just put on it yeah pretty soft wrong I guess yeah that's how you do it but great drive I was a fun shot to watch that was skipped right off the side of that concrete that's that's what I call local round for sure yeah a dozen local route and not the local route where you accidentally hit this skinny gap we're gonna pull your drive that wasn't it was an active is an intentional local that was local route an unfortunate car my house you should give me very small school to catch up mm-hmm mmm Burson encode oh really they're true they're yeah they're all Kevin's its own way ahead right now all right and we are on to hole 12 it is a par-3 375 foot uphill shot the basket is kind of tucked in these trees up here it's dead straight from the tee most of these guys will be throwing a driver up the hill having a skip try and squeak through these trees or skip a little bit up the hill to the left past it and have a little downhill look at the basket yeah yes get past those trees and you're gonna shoot yep Kevin go first early release no not he's throwing that shot that I was talking about just trying to get it up the hill to have that downhill putt yeah because I mean if you pull it right a little bit it's tough to squeak through those trees because it's thick to the right of the basket he's got his little bit right that's looking good and that's really what you want Wow great shot yeah you really want it in front of those trees on the right side Cody what's his up in there yeah he's done it a little high want it to crash in Wow and it does it must we don't have the power to throw it that high yeah way up there yeah especially uphill yeah don't similar shot to Kevin it looks like yeah don't worry yeah he's right there next to Kevin it's got a little outside the circle downhill putt oh and that was all up in that basket in and it snuck back out yeah what are you into yeah Kevin finds the tree is that you up L bad my bad yeah really just kind of keep it low on that putt Matt with a good birdie yeah grape up his putters coming along now oh it's been a long it she just got the spit out see out that's true coated with a good birdie getting a stroke back on Emerson and Kevin Kevin not happy with the putt just throwing the mini down there yeah I'll blame him and it looks like he was using the mini from clash of the dams that we got yeah down in Arkansas yeah they gave us these minis that were personalized with your PDG number and our names on it was really special awesome good yeah cool but on the whole 13th this is a par 4 480 foot OB Road carrying all the way right most of these guys will be throwing a big Heiser biggles layup and take your three nothing too crazy about the whole you won't see too many guys get all the way there really Kevin's the only guy on this card that could get all the way there but in these conditions it's it's tough yeah if you're if you're driving is up in those trees I mean it can be a really tough up shot I want to keep a wide and keep it in bounds you yeah it's looking pretty good that's perfect up there yeah I got way up there yeah you might be parting from there yeah he'll have a he'll have a look at the eagle from there going big Heiser as well and cutting too close to the trees yeah he's gonna have a little bit of an interesting look from the basket either they're gonna have to hit a little gap in between the trees or go for hand and Heiser Kevin's don't a bomb here oh my god was that pin high that's past the basket actually y-yeah I was I was up on the hill watching it come in numbers I'm gonna try do the same thing nice and wide I was taking a stick sticks Oh Emerson just got an unlucky roll there and found the Obi Obi okay look at this okay Wow yeah that was perfect such great finesse on that shot this green is absolutely brutal mm-hmm as I mean it drops all over the place if it catches the right edge it could roll a solid 80 feet out all yeah Kevin Kevin putting out he's standing downs yeah I don't worry is that right now but yeah he's gonna be he's just gonna have to toss it up there and take his three in that looks Oh little long yeah people out 20-footer yeah he's definitely not as close as he wanted to be him hat looks like he's got a jump I that was such a great Drive yeah I wasn't the better drivers I've seen on this hole huh seriously but he just lays up and takes 30 looks like but haha and hit that top chain and just bounced right in good putt by Emerson Kevin's got a dangerous putt here oh ho and putting his left hand side guess Matt might have known that was gonna happen by laying up instead of running it yeah for all the surprised I'm not see him running it with this far behind as he is I guess we got a whole round left yeah and he tries the wausaukee flip yeah yeah now with a beautiful birdie yep could have been a eagle but I don't one run it yeah it's a smart play it was smart boy oh yeah but we're on hole 14 this is a par 3 360 foot this is also a treacherous cream it's kind of up on a hill by this little pond which is OB by the way so you'll see some four hands through this tight gap on the left side depending on the wind you see a big high zero over the top and there is also a little turnover line as well so we'll see what these guys do yeah I think there is OB on the right side oh yes there is yeah there is there's a log big Heiser is scary but definitely doable and that just looks beautiful and almost hitting you yep I had to jump over that disc and that pawn behind the green right there's of you as well I believe yeah did I say safe here supposed to get Drive here's the big ol Heiser that looks perfect yep that is perfect he's right there barely missing the water he's gonna be about circles edge maybe just outside yeah I've never really realized how hard these greens are yeah oh just now yeah Kevin stone a nice forehand on the Left gap yeah I think he got a little bit too flat yeah it was it turned over or straightened out on those a little bit just caught that tree never sinned I did look at that shot me a little bit down the middle that is perfect and we actually filmed Emerson Keith at the Buffalo Chip on this course earlier in the year and he threw that exact same shot he's got a dialed in and I'll then for sure Kevin with a good up shot well short putt and coda needs this yeah it's mark yep nice birdie that is well done he's stoked about that putt and that's got kind of a similar putt to Kota just a little bit closer yeah after a great Drive just puts it low and it went down the rocks - yep I'm just gonna have another uphill bottom Becker puts that one just high as well looks like he's gonna have to tap in for his 4 never seen after a great Drive i sinks a great putt and Emerson and coda have fished gotten the stroke back on Kevin hopefully Kevin can make this putt and keep it at just one stroke and how unique is this hole yeah it is pretty unique with the pond right in front it's it's not an easy hole not at all and Kevin with a great par save yeah I'm sure he wanted that up so a little bit closer but mm-hmm that with a really unfortunate bogey oh and that's just the treacherous nests of those greens you can find the chains yeah hole 15 is gonna be a par 3 uphill 344 feet most these guys will just be going a big Heiser over the trees have a crash right into the basket and or on the green I guess the nice if it crashed straight into the basket but oh yeah not to that's cool but yeah there's also a forehand line there is also a foreign line but I got that treed right in the middle of the fairway to dodge mm-hmm couple trees actually a few trees yeah going over the top and he's gonna be about circles edge he's got the big spike hyzer the winds just shooting it straight down yeah Frank on it yeah you really do and he's gonna have a long putt for his birdie we know Kevin's not gonna the middle yeah that's not happening unless he had a putter in his hand I thought that was that looks so good oh no got caught up by the tree and he's gonna have a long putt for birdie as well yeah no one so far it's gotten all the way up there let's see if Matt can correct Otis pretty close and Matt it's gonna be outside soon as well about 40-footer oh that looks so good he's been all around the basket all round Kevin wanted that bird oh yeah oh never seen just short a Nevada can score the lone bird and he can't getting another stroke on Kevin he's enough three back he'd know he's making moves eaten up and everyone else is just gonna be tapping in for the unfortunate part all right and with that we are on to hold 16 this hole is a par 4 488 foot downhill shot it's a pretty tight gap on the right and the left both because obviously the left you have these little trees and the right some overhanging branches but this is a very evil hole for these guys especially with the downhill carry as long as you throw something that kind of flips up and carries all the way down you'll have an eagle look yeah it's gonna be like the perfect shot it it does have to be the perfect shot but these these guys will be I'll give it a little run they're trying to stay hot here it looks high yeah I don't think it was going for that gap I'm gonna try to go a little bit lower yep and he's gonna find a tree yeah he fought through pretty far yeah he's running in early I'm neezy up and we're sitting keeping it nice and low puts so much spin on that disk maybe a little too low the wind kind of pushed it down I did not very good skip either no not at all but uh he'll have an easy up shot as well there is OB right behind the basket so do you kind of have to worry be worried about going long it's not that easy to do but these guys have to be worried it happens there's a pretty us goodbye Kevin yep and he'll have a long look for Eagle yeah for him that's a long jump up mm-hmm I'm taking that right gap as well oh yeah pumped out over a really nice-looking shot I can get back Wow that'll work I'll have an easy up-and-down there as well yeah everyone in pretty good spots totally just skipping right up there and don't happen he's a little puff to get his bird yeah om Singh cannonball that water is a pretty nice there it kind of catches the disc for you yeah if you know wipe it off you know but right other than that it's awesome in that was action that actually had a eagle look as well Kevin given in a run oh and he's just right had the right height on it but just just wide current a safe birdie nice yeah this whole turkey this whole is a pretty easy birdie for the open field yeah as long as you don't hit like an early tree you're up shots can get pretty yeah man making sure it doesn't spit back out at him what coming up on a very difficult hole 17 yep this hole is it's a par 4 550 feet it's got a tight tunnel on the left you'll throw maybe a fairway that'll kind of turn over a little bit and then hit this little gap there if you have the power you can go over the top and just kind of lay up to this zone right here big inhale in Shaw yeah have an easy up shot but yeah this is this is not an easy hole no there's just a lot in the way and you gotta be behind the basket as well just level yeah yeah I'm expecting a big any flex pakoda withhold power he has he's going with a little turnover it's got a great move on him oh wow oh and he just catches that tree but if he hit that gap he was gonna have a look for Eagle wasn't me circle to probably that is great shot by coda it's not turnin has not turned that over enough and he is gonna be an awful spot yeah a terrible spot there's just a lot on the way down there and he really has no line to the basket he might have to pitch out and Kevin Kevin's going here just mashing one that looks like oh my god covers going huge he's sailing over the trees where is it that oh my and are you Seri is going to have a tap-in eagle what Wow I I'm speechless that was an insane shot how do you follow that up yeah I find that you got to just throw it somewhere Wow yeah yeah she did really well that's he's gonna have this he's about pin-high they're actually almost pin-high just a big Heiser or not because of just the highs around the trees in the ASCO hears him say Merson with a novel look yeah it looks like he's gonna try and like Heiser skip this around I'd stay in and that's a really really good recovery shop I was very passive oh my God look at that part yeah Kota making that look pretty easy and Matt yeah Matt was in a great spot really that was pain hi it looks like he's gonna have a drop in bird as well Kevin is still not putting yet Emerson to salvage a great birdie if he can hit it and he is just low he's gonna have to settle for a par yeah I think that he thought that head was gonna raise his disc little bit but ended up being I was right - left hand with the downhill putts like the majority of time I'm thinking don't throw it too high don't think the high and so I end up throwing it too low and that's yeah and look at that that angel heaven just with in absolutely I don't know if you'll have a nominal two on this hole maybe that's happened before but that is there is only probably four or five guys out there that can do that but yeah great hole signature hole here hole 18 it is a beautiful picturesque par-3 308 foot it's got a after you make it over the water carries uphill there is OB on the right side that Sidewalk there so you do have to be wary of pulling it a little bit just pretty much want to throw it straight through this gap and have it flip up flat towards the basket yeah you'll also see a big forehand as well yeah the whole kind of like lines out for you to go right on the middle but the forehand definitely is easier in my opinion mm-hmm Kevin just flipping up a putter best because I can't do that yeah as well them that is perfect Kota going commit got the middle shot Oh No who you just saw that off and as that would be behind that side of Locker I'm not too sure maybe if you laying on it it's it's OB do you think it's behind it I don't know we'll find out yeah we'll see and Matt looks like he's throwing out a really good shot but just didn't get the distance on it yeah that's a pretty common thing on this hole cuz it gets pretty uphill past that sidewalk it looks like no one's going for that for him line never seen one up the gut as well and does the same thing as Kota oh but in a worse spot yeah it kicks left and he's very disappointed with that looks like it's in bounce yep I think it's just right of that sidewalk that's out of bounds of yeah you really I mean he's got a pretty tough look here yeah this is there's not an easy up shot let's come back that's well short than what he doesn't wanna toda nice but this plus he does so work Emerson needs this to stay in the game just left he's upset that's not how he wanted to end the round just the head win just kind of got ahold of that one and soared over the basket he's gonna keep it in the basket the wind was not a nice tool and again I didn't think I was gonna happen yeah and the wind was hopefully it's a little bit oh and that was very uncharacteristic Evan I was taking all kinds of strokes on everyone great birdie great finish to a great round yeah we'll be seeing him next round oh yeah that's pretty clear and coated with a bogey man that's crazy we have three bogeys and one birdie on the house insanity yeah but well that's gonna conclude our back nine everybody looks like Kevin
