welcome everybody to the second round of the 2018 Jeremy Martin Lamoille disc golf tournament Oklahoma City Oklahoma the Delisi part my name is Kyle Wilks I'm here with a good friend Eric Rainey and we're looking forward to be able to commentate this for you hopefully tell you a couple stories over the next thirty minutes or so and show you some good golf very glad to be here Kyle let's get this thing started so it looks like we got ourselves some solid players don't teeing off here in the in the second round you got Bo Tillman Kota Hatfield Jared Pennington Stephon Buer a couple local guys code and Jared from Oklahoma City bow from Norman's death and from Tulsa Oklahoma starting off with the original hole one here the Lisa T plane about 270 feet OB behind it over the years a lot of erosion on this hole so shots that usually traditionally have skipped and jumped in towards the basket have really a really inconsistent the way laying on the green here but with a nice higher shot in for about 20-25 which is a which is a shot for the righties they they throw a mid-range hyzer and typically one of these holes that you want to get right out of the gate here certainly to get things rolling horse like this and wouldn't surprise me to see three or four birdies here yeah they're coming in skipping hole 15 feet deep pochamma Jared effing oh he's actually turning something over here circles that G I think if everybody's only green here maybe you Stefan out well from about 25 feet oh it's a little closer than I thought he anxious he do 20 a little wider li you know I get enough first putt going one got a couple Mulligan's so he'll he's like in a usual one right away hey Evan played decent Mountain Golf the steps I can't old snow but she makes his part both salsa Persol Verde SIBO coming in 19 under pretty pretty solidly to you Lakota 12 jared 10 Stefan just behind a nine we got a star party there Jared and I talked about the Mulligan's real quick yeah yeah this is a non sanctioned tournament a couple things one is you'll see once any one spot that hits the basket with the norms range you'll see it dropped in by any of the players on the card to give given to you there and also Mulligan's everyone's getting to Mulligan's you can use those Mulligan's any way you want if you take a shot you want to be able to use it or use them all when you certainly can do that and everyone gets to so here we go yeah - so I've got 225 feet tucked in the corner here this is an island hole so that fences OB and then you'll see there's some flags about what that light bolas triangle encountered the corner there another hole you want a birdie but certainly if anything to the right control yeah no long cold distance is a premium though an island hole you know a major stibo quid by going out there playing towards the safe side yeah you can almost lay it up against the fence if you had head range for Kota oh yeah I'll play nice shot by Koda let's go see another good straight shot by Jared coming in a little short little short gently tester earlier in the round Daniel shot from staffing with this putter thinking a little bit right but not a problem plays about the fancy-ass early rolled it up there he'll get some distance on that yeah nice definite good to about 18 feet it's 2 under yeah nice round equals see you starts start frame here expect so although single change you never know the poet's happen in BO real confident player lots of golf this year place all over the country a lot of sanction event certainly active in this region and nice to be able to have him here you know a sponsor yeah one Oklahoma's better it offers for sure and nice to see him out on tour like to see him a little bit more also Jarrett's got a lot of gain yeah he does he does he's killed me for saying this but actually babysitting babysat that kid is he's grown up and coaching and soccer so don't for no for about two decades and good start frame there yeah kid good family all right coming up on about 200-250 foothold not too difficult but you got OB up on the right right here that you gonna be sensitive to also to the left but you know something I think probably very similar shot you've seen the past couple holes just get something about 250 260 out there yeah I think we'll see a lot of righty spikes coming in here take the parking lot out of play I think we're we go Bo what I expect yeah everybody's Darren nice doesn't a real comfortable place here six broke lead early in the round so you still want to continue to keep your foot on the gas but he's played know confident code is taking a similar line here little D seen so far on the side of course he's pretty consistent landing other than the first of all money so here's a little closer look at that beautiful perhaps that's Stefan throwing a putter right at it thinking a little bit my shot oh this is you know remember crack is so weird baskets oh yes you one have another two thirds an arm yeah typically you have 18 inches from the top of the basket to the to the top of the chain and this is about half that distance you can see there it's another state fairs in town and Oklahoma City so maybe added a theme yeah continuing on nicely being the lead and come out with three birdies in a row really give you some confidence there and go Daguerre's digging right with them you bother need to try to make some ground up gauging the distance there a tricky little hole here this is a you have a double band oh you got to go through and then you have a tree right in front of you between the basket and the pin probably playing about 3:30 you see ride astride maybe flex something around that tree out but you have to fly over the OB and come back in to be able to attack it let these may be straight out of there yeah straight at it and still not a very good chef tricky hole literally tricky to get close you let these are finishing towards the OB so you know it's rich reward you know if you can take the risk and and flirt with the OB and get close but it's uh I'll be curious ooh yeah actually I'll be fine - nice yeah that's his well-placed shot you and again that flesh out out around he's gonna alright don't know well done shopping well those there Kota tries are very similar yeah this is not too many I'll Jindo commando fix makes makes you commit to a golf shout here I'm bad and have that Obi behind them therefore that pub he should be fine Jared hit the mandatory left a short of the mandatory those that don't know what a mandatory is you have to be able in this situation go between those two trees with the yellow ribbon Stephanie think I had hit that tree and falls straight down have a yeah okay easy three there but yep frustrating Jerry it's good to go ahead and use a mulligan and that's what he wanted to do the first time oh wow and he is all over this - Shane yeah Stefan here boss good distance there's probably got nine-footer just laying out being safe everybody picks up there as you can see when they only make a mole must meet a pin so next all here again a double mandatory this one's playing easier than the last hole probably similar distance but it doesn't have anything in the way I'm seeing throw straight at it a little bit slick up there receiving bluegrass roads but pretty straightforward hole when I think you want to get air yeah I agree I you want this one it's not a whole lot of trouble even know it's a double mandatory it's pretty straight shot I think the keys the gauging the skip there's a there's another good shot like though he's really dialed in here I don't know if we know both button any good this round you know what he's gonna do close warm well that's a tough problem they have I wish I had that problem oh good shy by Cody edition they're working this day and right there I mean both playing wilcos dating my perjured version and seeking a little bit you can see your good skips here that's nice and tight Stefan with the putter you're trying to keep it up there flat not sure for pretty good shots there oh yeah no good think any pickups yep so all continue their little ones another good to think we're gonna see a star frame here folks it's a long mistake and we got one two three four holes played all buries except for one in so far as those cars plan like the leak art I'm the airline they're playing well all right now we're heading over to the original hole 16 here at the lessee tournament simples off to right OB the cable is off to your right by playing got around 290 to 300 wide open on your left hand side we come in late and attack the pan or you can try to play something straight out of there on the right hand side through the trees not enough to tricky but just an awkward yeah long distance my turn oh yeah a long turn over for a radio here's a flick shot by Bo this is one you fail Roger had as a lefty then just straight down fairway yeah it's yeah a long term for righties it really sets up for a lefty straight shot with a baby little fade but so I think we've seen one flick shot we're gonna see another one by code about 50 but I think that that looks very good yeah it's a go chat like that whole five times does it right up there tight it's a little bit taller basket also single chain so I'm never walking up to this before the round getting red wall right there aren't turning right oh it's a tree and that's what happens when you go to tides would you go that right hand side that's what happens there's enough of them there that here's a flick shot by Stefan and looks pretty good again yeah he well done it'll cheer puttan from about 90 get you three move on to tough holes coming up so spin on the edge of the circle oh I think we're gonna see him know he's gonna pick up yeah so from 25 maybe trying to do that one yeah like y'all but I think he did I don't think about on the air so he's gonna pick up and those enough enough that leave a little bit more okay good good Stephanie we'll finish up this barge solo very there for boat Oh yep what's that seven in a row I might have to get a pair of pants like that that's seven in a row hmm tricky hole here all right this is one of those ones that do you know that gap they're playing about probably 100 to 150 very narrow six seven foot apart you can either try to throw something through that gap and then up another 200 straight or you can try to lay something up about those flags are and then try to get to the basket get you three I've only seen this patoot once I've seen four five six is seven high tight I'll one of the tire holes on the course today so be curious to see how these guys play it yeah but it is a the next two holes are the two toughest holes I'd say the entire tournament nice smooth right okay I'm just gonna do I'm only use a second multi tuner takes a little more of an insight path and gets it around the corner actually I may have to be two strokes age yeah absolutely this is really a oh wow whirring this is this is a golf shot folks you work this he's not laying out yeah oh I see there's a great even of shopton yeah look good Dolph the T oh my knee step four and get down before it hurts somebody sure did sighs oh I'm sorry Garrett I mean laughter you there look at that man that's really 100 and that was a forehand to hit a root and kicked it to the side that's there's definite pitch out here he got a really good kick because he's right here in the center oh wow yeah he did oh and he's decided to use a mulligan and boy ping-pong down to you can see how tight it is folks well I'm right behind that pan twos it's a it slopes name-drop he goes over the edge there's a test exactly you can't be need to finesse it up Gary can fired at it Jerry from about 60s and layup I was get out of there target chip get out from Stan here's Bo's Mulligan shot he actually has it Oh for thirst yeah Wow twos first miss I think he'll see where he landed after going down that Street got him but man he went for didn't he gave me to run to should really get school down this was like I said I haven't seen Stefan tapping in there for looks like a bogey for Doby I'm back you can see me there we go three or four or five already voting go too far down good three there finish this up for Cody nice par yeah I'm covered a double and a single man just yeah tough hole quite somewhat similar difficulty level on this hole so I'm probably plating about 390 very low ceiling fast green Creek to the right shoe on the left you can see some logs and debris in the middle and we get enough for that edge up there we're dropped down with those stairs ours probably at about 300 to 80 maybe 290 and you got another 150 to 200 from there you got to go over that ravine and back up to the left just shot you want to just again play in the middle of fairway and and not yourself in too much trouble tight long hole very nice all right so we got both thrown zombie heap has moved up a little bit Oh nice shot by beau that's a really good shot my girl yeah oh we're gonna see now I thought we might see one of these go up and over the top Wow here we go thumber yep wait okay yeah Caroline y'all have a but certainly see what Stefan does here I know turn over and there got a little high hit the canopy oh oh here we go is this you me Scooby wow that's unbelievable look at the line that's kind of just yeah it's uh he gets such great distance with that to I it's hard to get it's hard to advance that forward I mean he does a great job oh yes - or hand roll word yeah okay he got out smart - you're for from there Stefan's oh my would you go on the log Oh as long as you know we might need to check the rulebook on that one but now non-sanctioned think he's fine as long as in Dallas situationally you don't stay on the log and not get up him down there with a little kick mean kick again these two holes I mean Jared looking a four here right and double last fall when they can just really sneak up on you two threes are fabulous and Bo with a 3-2 with its potential to - almost yeah unbelief razor yeah yeah you have a several short holes in the open then you get these two ones tight in the woods and there's over from the oh oh good rounded that Stefan from the not even a really nice too nice oh did he lean over on that one that he may have you camera angle move just better oh wow what bothers do there about no yeah that's all he's one of my now fingers take a stroke terrified I think Bo is gonna pick that up and saw he's gone can where you doing whatever busted oh oh there we go yeah get three day Mike Koda alright here we go this is a got out of the woods now coming back to the main part of the course this whole nine playing Oh probably got right at 300 a straight shot you loosey righty skip it around the corner here to the basket left he's probably going a little turnover shot or straight at it not much to it yeah nice Freddie Heiser I think you're right 300 they'll probably skip it towards the basket let it roll right around I would think yeah you tight tight very tight every way no yeah this is Lacey Park which is the cement company Dilys easy sauce and around here on this course and so sometimes being a little goofy with the same yeah grass is low and there's a big Pacific if you have to put not there probably most having a little bit closer but he's like 25 on that order coming in someone shot get that last tree right there I just came in a little bit short definitely coming down that's a nice play that's like a little highs are playing the skip yeah I like that huh good shot 20 footer chairs see now the woods back in the open here takes a little bit flatter approach edge of the circle not bad seasonal do that certainly certainly circle to relying on just a little oh no circle edge all my dad you know that was in good idea nice smooth even up Stefan looks like he's just inside the circle and Mirage let me go he's happy with that oh he's really happy jarred concentrate on his putt there you go nice forget to count in their new coats half against those stuck we get three twos there and then prototype this in for three so it's kind of the same order you know I mean not a lot of movement here you got least on this car sir on the chase car between making moves probably is Bo continued Bo extending his lead to nine at this point just have to catch this is on the action of the practice basket another temple just on the process back to the course Oh a little bit deceiving in distance has the Jeremy Martin memorial wrap on this basket with the years that use a lot of certainly a special basket to us and we like to honor him certainly don't play this hole over here make think about him and all the good things he's done for disc golf on the community both taking that looks like a rock up the middle yeah my straight shot there Penn High Park you can attack this various ways you can you left right just have been asking it to move over and it does my splicer Chloe has a good putter there maybe yeah I think so no distance on that I think that's his warden feather one yeah you can see that gap there trying to hit the psychos looking at the exact same line I play like so many guys are nil which was solo played a good but they got a slice it's good underfoot shot here looks good man yeah yeah he loaded up there's no she's a little frustrated right now I wanted to get I think Stephin again nothing to hear you should be the same for Bo and also for Kota nice birdie there birdie by bo doing his thing saying consistent but that's all in here so it's a they could hold finished chaired out and hit on the next hole which at this point yes I think his mentality is is no mistakes and he brings home the surprise I'll finish there from HUD by GERD 12-under so uh wraps up the first 10 holes of the 2018 Jerry Martin memorial as we've gotten through those holes we have moto 1 at 27 under my
