welcome back to the second part of the first round in 2018 nearing mark Memorial disc golf tournament in Oklahoma City at Delisi youth park like to recognize all of our sponsors again that helped us let's look for to the second half yeah so let's up we got hole 11 over here par three this is a this is a tough hole this one is a dogleg right got to throw either an arrow shot through a gap or over this big bush that we see on a right hand side then curls down a down slope to the pintuck where you have tree line on the right and OB probably only 15 paces to the left there is the cable again it's not the road very difficult shot tricky hole this morning and one of those wanted to get it's certainly great but if not then you can you can get a big number so code off the back-to-back birdies with the two finger on a two fingers really now hit what he's done is listening for the woods here and he heard him it looks like yeah Don throwing a big traditional turn over which most radius-r of golf shot there it is he tie little tight my have a putt from their nose now here's a scoop here you go he ain't tough shot wide Wow look at that oh my so go and get that too tricky okay here's a nice I'm not I get a three here this is a very difficult goal this one was one side you know you just give up candidates are only trying to get out there and just get my nice shot yeah say play good play threes a good score here I think we're gonna see a Scooby again here starts it right down the middle pushes to the right with the win there traditionally and look at that folks oh what a shot oh my yeah that Wow Oh Donna oh so he's playing a little bit short they're coming on the gap by a 60 footer again you got that cable OB right there behind you so you'll see me but here not be too aggressive probably just pitch out these woods have been doubt in the last couple of years you can cut out of that you see it what do imagine you're just a little more you want to be like a half a grape I can get it moment your back pocket you can sneak one of those in Sean looks like he caught an early uh wood on that shot there Jared with oh no am I look at that only about fifteen feet to delici baskets third changer little thin you know I hopefully in the next year too will see some new baskets out here but that's one of those hold you in a situation you look at it - it's disappointing you miss it but you know the roasted cards getting that three got one player with a four it's a tough birdie hole and get two choices there you know carry that Ricky the next hole or you can know that you know they're gonna say you got three like everybody else did and nothing lost its a missed opportunity but it was a bonus wasn't one Union fell apart so hopefully Jericho just move on from there and you can tell he's frustrated and wiping the graphs away there from from the partner all right so we're gonna move into a series of island holes after these next two these are all temporary holes that we have set up we're gonna progressively work our way to turn the central all the way through this field so you'll see the next six or seven holes I believe are going to be ten baskets this one we're gonna be uphill playing about 370 around this tree with the OB on the right again that cable is OB a little bit of a up slant tours you can see the flag is there was vas gonna be slopes up just a little bit but close enough that you be a little conservative when you're drawing because you do it Opie's only 15 feet away and says maybe 320 and if like Kyle says it plays all 370 and maybe even a little more no he got the roller come on you got a big arm just good to say play better badly and that's not that's a nice play it's a good play he's appealing almost pin-high safety like good tournament play there looks like he's turning something over is that gonna flex back it is yeah lay there what are you gonna do here come follow Coda's line try to cut a little bit more inside same same type of shop we'll try to cut more often than you get just inside and it looks like it's wearing obviously well done yeah a little more aggressive nice my show yeah that's always nice something make up the last hole to solo birdie here on that nicely done yeah well in like Kyle said we're in peppery basket so you'll see several single chain baskets and and we all know single chain you're gonna get a bag break here and there yeah just wanna keep hitting change you know you started get a couple spits the more change you hit the more percentages increase you're gonna have a spit or two so it's part of it and let you ride those things happen thing is everyone has to play on it right equal same stuff you all right this is gonna actually be if I'm not mistaken one of those narrow bulls-eye target type baskets here just to have a little bit of fun tree line right behind it playing citrine until the fairway there shoots tree lines may be 270 260 a little bit of a downhill will shout that you can get inside the tree line they're gonna struggle to be able to hit it and you want to be a little closer on this one again this is gonna be one of the bull's-eye baskets that bullseye basket and only about 10 15 feet to the tree line so it's a distance shot it is a premium oh nice break there yeah that was I was a little hot coming in my basket there in there oh that penetrates the woods he has to throw out here nothing same play from Kota yeah oh yeah that's nice yeah to think a min and then bounce back to the left Sleeping Dogs 24 buddy code in there like working a turnover looks like sure did I his rock that's a little hot oh they're spitting them out all right working at night you see Lexi working right at it set a good shot by Kyle and allow very nice well of course you're gonna start to need to start picking up some birdies or shorter there'd be a little risk with some out bounds and the Srilanka see finger dresses have been right at the tree line you might see more of these target baskets in the future folks that may be part of the future of golf always actually had about 10 foot to what was real life then I got there monkey difficulty level on these you got 24 it feels like about 30 you know on these games that sit at about 10 the margin of error is very tight yeah that's a plus yeah it's a real good putt but 18 footer here one team on a regular basket it probably feel like 12 but they're fine see a lot of these putts on this type of basket people putt low because it looks so big down there in the bottom the tops on there there's kind of plunk them in there a little different fighting style than some other baskets but and I believe that's the 18 inches of regulation so you're right it does look like it's much mm-hmm jiggers but in reality it's not just because of the width of the chains coat of taking this time on this putt you can see a little breeze in a nice pot yeah so yeah there well played hold air John yeah air and then get free time at you yeah looks like we got a few of us Koda and Jared at 7-under myself at 6-under good match at the top Shawn and Don boy think this is our first island hole isn't it yeah the suckers oh yes the rule and this is really gonna be a drop zones you see right there to the right if you don't land inside the island you'll just go right in directly there throwing your third shot with one throw penalty you see the flags there traditional in these islands or maybe 3040 feet on each side the basket here comes in with the looks like he's inside yeah I guess in the island code at 7-under go actually looks like he comes with two finger you know you can't do that you may not be able to tell from the footage with that tree over there I didn't think was gonna be in the white and you get on and it does a little bit for the Heiser so I actually missed this Simon I I came up a little short you're right although you have a backstop back there but you're right it uh this is one this is a little stretch here we see people using the same disc quite a bit a lot of the same shot just get one it starts to work the aggressive place it down a little nervous there today and that's taken I did yeah looking at the our camera guys there and they're staying busy trying to get a little nod here and there see if it's inbound or not they're like soldiers Shawn's a little no there Oh just outside the squiggly item you can see the island is not a perfectly round island it's a it's like a more realistic a little wonky ha dong coming in this holes like damn time I have 250 something like that yeah and nothing too long but with the island makes a little tougher there's Shawn from the drop zone and that's that's the penalty there the drop zone was far enough fact it's unlikely you're gonna make that putt so it's a lot of times it's a 2 or 4 that's right that's right you can give up two strokes quick here Oh tubes missing mountain Don I saw that his hide your putt working booty about 30 here yeah just inside that circle well very nice smooth good punch over it tie things up top here 7-under yeah yeah right over that tried to steer get a different size on you about right here that he just has long yeah more angle you get on those folks the more apt this is gonna work its way to the back so you gotta fly them out a little bit cheap coated with that umbrella right there on the bag - what chance of rain again is I'm is a little tricky haul - yeah this one here is gonna play probably got 270 do an option you have you left of that tree right there that's a mandatory that they tree and you can play a stray shot there or you can go a hyzer over the road that is a significant slope going down to the road there is no cable here there was previous holes is actually just runs to the cement being out of bounds now you'll see where the flag is there in the grounds where the past it's gonna be and so those peiser's coming in if you can imagine how to either come far enough let's not hit that slope or could hit that slope and roll in not uncommon to see some trouble on this hole Jarrid out here it's the pole who goes out of balance either right here on the floor and they've all right over there I was actually gonna throw a hyzer threw me off that a little bit a little more conservative yeah Oh God up the middle yeah yeah three's a good score you know you can get in trouble on this one you can get in trouble on this one yeah I'm like what you did is gonna throw it up the middle you save Charlotte those are bugs I mean yeah you're right Dee hyzer putt will be away from the slope so you can be a little restless yeah it looks like there's a little tonight right there come left don't think of that's why is he wanted it's usually is a really really tough pot that should be yeah I think we'll see a layup Tara though you might get aggressive you never know at the middle for sure on this looks oh yeah tough shot is still quite 2:10 left here circle yeah it serves me some previous training there from the stone circle being a loose term because it's again a squiggly island but this looks pretty good angle combination we got a shot same as the nice shot that's all you want to do here it'll see three in there Charlie no there's nothing to graspers don't you want to let that little OB puddle behind and not just kidding I see some people don't Potter here a good play to play with the Hemmingway's a little bit get a little bit tough but ten depends on your style how you want to do it Joe to come with us more sharp edge style lunch home kiss I'm telling you guys get pets in your head okay you start feathering your putts and all sudden you get off your game a little bit but yeah Donald for birdie down I'm looking right at us yeah encoded with a nice job making us something I have to tap that in that's how you take single chains out of the equation fair enough Oh still cut bar all right so this is actually this isn't a fun whole this is the hole where you walk up at dough and you go by the pavilion you get chance to say hi to Jay stache walk any tournament director and the wonderful group of volunteers this this is probably has 20 to 30 volunteers or so if it's just tournament every year that really makes it I think for most highly attended events certainly non sanction of the state during the course of the year and can't do without him this is kind of fun there's an island out there you see four baskets out there just kind of unique so you can either pitch there at the middle or you can try to throw some on the outside say get a nylon hole probably oh that's nice shot e there yeah that one worked out pretty well Don coming in here give them right at it pretty close know what I think your spot baskets right a medal or two on either side I actually went to the middle baskets and hides her to the one on the right and end up putting at that one but Cota similar type of shot dull not sharp edge again sees everything from putters to mid-range to sharpest a little short there but had lots to choose from awesome shoes from Jarrod coming off the lob with the yeah you can see the flag in the background wind blowing left to right yeah just enough breeze out there too I'm necessarily yep just enough to take me Sean I'm not gonna try to get some birdies here currently we got about good shot I'm not sure which way he'll go more so his options Kota which one they want then which one he likes that metal one Oh a little fist pump Sean can you pass that last bit yeah look at the freeze behind that's a good ten fifteen mile an hour breeze there might have affected that putt a little bit about ten foot well he just keeps working at my ride go walking again Harold on it was a girl and Jared looking the xell yes one of those things that you know there's a weights when I kind of keep moving on and by this is playing tough it's about 2370 I got those tree line to the right as soon as you go in there it's just a pitch-black very dense once you get down there where you see the dirts edge and there you're gonna see the basket tucked in there anything beyond that gets a little bit of hairy but certainly it's more open anything the rice trouble anything to love does works out it's also people throw in some rollers here a little backup so if we were to give that a try and code and eye shadow got a little beforehand and he could that was the play right hand roller whole of coming in and the predictable turn to the right oh okay a little work from there but um you don't you just you don't see and try not to get big numbers on this volcko does I think gonna do the same thing if I'm mistaken and a little better execution yeah it's a nice play there just telling something probably wonder two there we go nice yeah picked up three twos on that yeah those are good that's a good two things so we got two holes left of the round back in the woods one of those typical tournaments you're gonna take about an hour and a half and come back with a second round so this is the 19th hole this is gonna be a shot that goes dogleg right playing about 270 275 certainly a lefty get though highs are straight or so straight shot in the divisor to the right and righties can do a turnover sometimes you see a thumb over the top you go left to right on this though it's a little hairy you got to be in trouble you did a little trouble if you if you're not smart enough you know premium just keep it in the fairway it's not a long hole but you know it demands a low accuracy and then actually three holes 11 I think about as woman between temple trotty eldest x qi over start yeah the keys not to try to bend it too much it's a good shot there oh very nice yeah good camera work there nice shot there that's a good shot painting inside the circle here's this is what you want with a turnover a little bit more on that oh now this gave us their fourth fourth one this round man look at that putting over the top at a such an extreme angle get to them they're probably 50 footer a little tough dawn fighting turn over here just taped off that tree I think yeah that's a little opening there so don't open a poncho on it quite a lot of golfers Sean certainly just having stuff around as we all do sometimes those things happen and get chewed Sam don't get shot right there he's pin ha hi Oh don't see too many of those folks yeah he's just trying to get out there trying to get out and you know that ground legging get that fair what's a little choppy so we've a roll part 40-footer here Jerry a tough putt yeah those deals have to get in there donkey first bar tap that in a code of about a 30-footer it's really good at this range just my site it's usually flat putt I'm not issue yeah any other to you've seen so hard off the to see nice birdies here pin high a little bit on the left side very nice so next up we're gonna play is gonna be a temporary hole plays opposite way of the traditional course layouts about two hundred and forty feet or so one that you know you played 21 whole round you start feeling like you're about done after playing 18 they just keep coming mando left here mando lifts that took the take the right II know I mean I step on the right right there it's pretty thick basket set out there in the middle usually just a mid-range for a putt or something along those lines I just get it down there yeah kind of similar the last shot I think you want to throw straight so maybe a little turnover if your righty and 250-260 put your right and there's like they just circle maybe oh be 50 by - I saw correctly there to yell again Castiel again not not not a real good shot but like you said some more Oh a nice skip there yes give it got you in there just a little tight range yep odor than that yeah that's a tough place yeah there I'd say yeah when you look at this that you think you need to turn it over but I think you know straight shot when you drive about that over and it's not easy you know soccer cos is blind to exact some you know some play I'm showing logos as that visual challenge whenever you can't see the basket you're teeing off I guess a one wrong you just tuck that thing on around there there we go that shot another turnover this looks at that one better turn over go throws I arrow down got it to the hole good shot mmm blue great coverage you see the basket right through that little gap there in the ass yeah I shot you inside sir Claire we can see a jumper just inside by 32 he's got one left folks he usually holds them here we go ah over to on them always but you know what Sean a little off there on the putt Jared here tapping for about five got 20-foot salt from this range I think I get in there good putt damn double digits there from not take andand cleaning up is yeah - they're very nice very quick up here heading into the last hole remember this is again a mixed car to folks that knew Jeremy next round you will see that we have the leaders of the open division plan so make sure you tune into to watch that sequence the championship of the tournament this is about a 250 foot 240 foothold a little hairy coming out of there I just want to make sure you get out of the tunnel if you go past this hole well maybe twenty thirteen get in this module sits right here to finish two trees usually just pretty simple shot you just don't want to have anything offers the way that your weird draw glance yeah that's right straight to premium here you just want to throw it straight to 20 just like this got low yeah I'm just getting off you know sometimes on these holes we do just taking a little bit off of it a hogs up sooner than you think right because you don't have the same spend here right take the low off and flip it down turn over he's asking it for it to go that was right had it there was that one bet that didn't hit the pole spoon by as you will see a little baby turn over here into the view rock sighs yep not at all treat kicks or bashing Sean finish up the birdie here shaking his head but it's not a bad shot he's miserable not from baskets now if he was ever gonna be jarred with the tester was one you love to head to be able to break between rounds probably brought out 3035 you know inside of that but it says certainly was a lengthy pot oh my god aired a lot of highs are on that I think he was forced to throw out that way you talk about it on for birdie mmm a little short to get under it yeah they're a couple cleanup pots as we wrap up nice to their last hauls go to Sherman air surfing down good shooting there yeah so as we wrap up this this first round of the the tournament here we got uh Sean over stay get one under you got dawn cook at 5-under Jared Pennington 10-under coda hatfield 12-under and Kyle Wilks myself at 13 under certainly a fun round we had out there today good group of people a lot of stories going around about Jeremy and that certainly but a lot of this tournament is about and so Eric first time you and I have done this together is fun today I'll be able to Washington Gulf and commentate a little bit and we certainly appreciate GK productions and everyone's support that we move on to the openly card round two sounds good comeback for rent too
