welcome everybody to the 2018 Jeremy Martin memorial disc golf tournament in Oklahoma City Oklahoma this is a Delisi youth park here you with you today with Eric Rainey - Kyle Wilkes and works out to be able to take you through not only the golf that you'll see here today but a little history from the Jeremy Martin memorial there hey everyone glad to be here let's get this thing started okay it looks like we got our first hold of par 3 we have five players with us today on this car this actually this is a mixed car combination of different players that knew Jeremy Martin so we wanted to try to add a little significance to it and then we'll put people in by division in the second round like a traditional way but something we wanted to do here special and players today or will see him as they come up but all of them knew Jeremy when he was a lot 13 years ago so Jerry Pennington getting a started tough captive here Gary going over the top throwing the Scooby like shot very nice coming cook going off the top as well looks like you may cut a little bit yeah she comes down the top nicely his dad was Jeremy Martin's dad's best friend and best man the wedding so some good history there few of those also local player from Oklahoma City for all those that don't know a scooby if I describe this right Kyle is somewhat of an underhanded shot that you throw up vertically high and try to get up and over items being a Treves usually yeah yeah I think it's ultimately take take out some of the risk out of play if it's in the way and I just hit over the top for Shawn for par there looks like we're making dawn cut that first one I get a little laser overtime so there we go we're off this is a twenty one whole layout about 160 players here so it's like we're on our second hole par 3 this is actually on the this is on the short end placements today for most hardness is a little bit longer have to come ultra pin placement this is the one the one placement there's actually longer than there in the alternates Willowby behind it for the 40 foot there with the cable usually do easy part there in the background beautiful day that we have getting another tricky turkey shot to hit the gas you'll see various different shots on this Oh another absolutely like chef right there oh very nice about 20 feet excellent shot that's it Kota with a forehand taking more of the traditional gap how do you like to play this one gun to try come over from left right come over the top of that and although I'm playing here for about 15 years it certainly is grown up a little bit so struggling to cap gave that heights but it's over there okay they're gonna end up over on this one side oh it's very nice yeah not bad almost out of bounds are actually a little long but Jen range is in range right there's really dance a shot that that fairway between that water and that sidewalk out there which is also be maybe gives you about maybe 80 feet and width nothing like that so boy it might even be a little less than that yeah tight hole very tough tricky you can you can go up the middle like Jared did or you can again you can throw the righty Heiser over the water and trust that you're gonna really tight really going on that whole point about 560 feet path and left is out-of-bounds 25 feet wide got our first one the water they're almost a REIT eat and go down the edge if you want but it we're playing today so like I mentioned earlier 21 / so we have there's 36 holes at Delisi there's a new course is currently being installed there of course been given to that community in 20 years Oklahoma City so really excited to be able to have a nice place to play today and 36 volts plus together will be that it this is one of the tougher ones this is on a long placement I mentioned they're just up either I'm along this is playing about like 375 you can see the gap there where the shadow is all you have to look in talk about 90 feet there's your left side down that dirt path which is a little bit sensitive anything short or long there you get in trouble so this is one of those holes with certainly three is good pretty common your to sneak one now there's a benefit but certainly can get some over shows here you're not careful that's part of the issue that you can have a good line on it and just catch one of the trees coming in to the dance and dark the deeper it goes in there the better look you have is if you're on the edge there's a little bit shallow work back to the looks good what are you throwing there cos the destroyer against right Oh beautiful yeah oh oh oh oh well yeah that's certainly look if I got out there didn't realize that's what happens that'll turned out well so that's a really trying to penetrate looking for a big skip on the outside bring come in it's not that yeah little deep Jared yeah he got deep enough you see him tucked in there where he's got a little bit of a gap oh well nice at downslope behind those baskets when you're playing this player if you get too aggressive in yourself to some trouble so you have to be a little conservative on this putt unless you feel confident you can draw some that alone a lot of hardpan a lot of roots you're right and sloping downward so if you can't get tricky you can't really run the putt from this side let me see a breather planning it's alright playing that safe this is a trickle he may try to give this a little bit and go out here oh there you get that's what we're talking about see I'll play then getting too far down the hill - wow those are nice twos right there especially on that wolf excellent oh good - hadn't had that distance but so far took a few extra pumps to make sure it goes in you see often times people take those for granted rush those 15 20 footers and you walking down the fairway looking at it to you and all of a sudden things change pretty quickly so for momentum good to take your time there there's a really tough hole here this is one that there's a short a long placement and then the placement plane here is actually a third placement which goes with off probably then the hind foot passed along tricky out-of-bounds almost plays like a river you can see coming through beyond the submit that cable is also a bounds left of that left on this and then left over towards the street and the pin tucked in there on a freak tight little spot probably need to go about 390 declare the cement maybe 410 420 100% sure it's a full rib or sometimes you'll see people play a roller so I think they consider them lay up and then go for on your second shot because if I get you three or really count it here what you do on this one well you know I thought I could cross the the concrete where sight I landed on it con okay so I think it's it's kind of a sucker pin you know the big arm over here interesting I am oh yes it's across he's gonna be able to put that I think really the play is to throw a 332 350 shot is short of the asphalt and yeah although I think he was going for it there yeah we are go over a little bit ox about that he's got some Devils to be okay Pepe to excellent job yes that's the short oh there's a short vein right there he lavr here for sure you know they get some overhang there but she tightens up as you get towards the it's poison ivy on the right hand side I'll rip my teeth there on that shot get up you can give strokes up here and really tough to gain - Mulligan's are nice but sometimes mentally it's nice to know nice to have get rid of them I agree that you know you can get focus on a shot of me we headed back to this next post 376 you wouldn't really starting to pick up a little face wasn't happy we were forecasted for rain I could continue to get better throughout the day nice blue skies now so yeah 376 pretty straight shot 400 of the tree line OB right and shouldn't be in play this is a one that you know certainly look admission on a calm day you don't be able to get one up there but boys playing today it was a little little tougher certainly get it'll still but the plug blown 15 yeah that's how singing 15 into the face maybe a little bit right to left on the drone roller but thanks seem to be going you get over that shoe will drop down pretty significantly right there the footage optical illusion right as we're saying the bushes right in front you think you're in pretty good shape there but yeah actually have another 3035 minutes I was talking about this is that headwind again where you're seeing disparate over a little bit redundant mid-range that's true sorry stable for Jared same thing it must be keep yet on that right side over there it's interesting the Amanda is really forcing taking the highs are out of play basically not sure what eyes are flip and it's turning over be right there mention the shirt and for Paula hi so this one is it again dude you can see a downslope going towards the bridge here on the water going pretty significantly back uphill hold only playing about 250 to 260 but there's a long lost slow it's muddy as you can see you walk up there and you have these railroad ties at the top that you have to step up so many shots that kind of like it's really skip an old back downhill any shots to go beyond putting back towards that basket with the downhill potential so just want to start maybe throw some land a flat nothing with too much speed hit the gadigal they're not yeah should be a birdie should be a berry sure enough you want to get it a nice shot by oh good Asia yeah but but trouble tight gap yeah kick it gets just fair we get you in trouble here yo Jerry you see sell that off a little early back in there just again depends on people see a putt although you get Wow that's not a little fart wow that was just under the basket to us when I'm fortunate kick there or slip sit pretty flex I can conjure dealing with a little some on there just trying to play you tell bother them there's nothing happen quite frequently you can actually be on the green out here on this course and have something in the way of you outside your traditional swings just in nice pot Sean yes but there make it a little goofy and that downslope their behinds ruin my stuff do you notice that one he misses that that goes 25 33 foot code of trying to back that last birdie up with another birdie here oh god I'm pretty sure you'll make good with this oh wow that's
