2018 Oklahoma Open | RD2, B9, MPO | McMahon, Barsby, Tillman, Why, Lawson

welcome everybody to the back nine of the 2018 Oklahoma open we've got an awesome card we've got Eagle McMahon Boat omen Gregg Barnes being Clayton Lawson and Richard Y Eagles kind of pulling ahead of everybody right now but everybody's not too far behind my name is Gabriel Dow by the way and I'm here with Bobby Cox yeah we've got an awesome battle going on it's exciting oh yeah yeah it's awesome and also at one of my favorite courses and total sell buy farm getting right into hole ten this is gonna be a par four 450 foot I know that's kind of short for a par four but we've got an OB pond all the way in a really tight little skinny fairway here some people would be taking the forehand around the left side most people we carry in over the OB water trying to hit this little gap right in front of the basket which is very rare I mean this is this is I I personally have never seen a 2 on this hole but I mean yeah it takes absolute bomb to really like play it say yeah but not just a bomb it's really it's got to be the perfect shot hit that guy most people be just laying up and trying to take their things you're go off the drive is do not go in the water yeah yeah and Eagle I'm sure will see a bomb from him and that low-hanging branch over the water like right in the middle of fairway makes you force your disc even wider which means got though even even harder yeah it's it really makes a difference it looks like Eagles throwing a little hives are just kind of laying up not trying to grow a run to the basket it's gonna be a tricky Spock is right in the middle there there's a bunch of like skinny trees in the way which create a pretty hard up shot but he's he's pretty lanky I think he can figure something out yeah oh yeah I was pretty surprised not to see him throw over the trees try those guys or something but maybe I'm expecting too much of ya he throws a mile that's right up there by Eagle nope a little bit close easy threes easy threes and but was just throwing the Heiser as well talking a little bit's height yeah this is one of those holes it's just like a super super easy three but also a really really really hard to so Greg's going for hand over the water yeah that's that is on my rare shot you will ever see and it clears it he hits the gap perfectly in good going it looks like he might see there's a little cluster of trees right behind the basket so he might be behind there yeah looked like and who throws a forehand over the water yeah only Greg really and that's the standard shot he's up there by the other two honestly a forehand over the water that's a lot further than it looks ladies and gentlemen and I've never even put that thought in my mind itself flex forehand through the gap and Bob himself in a situation we can just though a little easy Heiser a little bit past yeah higher he might have he's a person that I feel all that Eagles got a really easy up and down yeah we're positioning them yeah but yeah he made that look pretty easy yeah he's pretty used to that little Anheuser 100 foot yeah little upshot Richard is really good at filling these forehand putter shots yeah he doesn't all the time first up shots and he's usually in the bullseye range oh yeah clean it's got some trees so oh he's playing way but ton of a knee oh man yeah but that was well done yeah I think like like wrist strength honestly I would have come over the desk like that here's Greg see if he can score the eagle it's kind of tricky cuz he's you can't see it but he's got a lot of trees oh yeah II had really good hi Don yeah and that was just right but I mean what can you do you can't really see it from the camera angle but he's that there was a lot more trees in front of them and a little much smaller gap than what it made it look like that would have been a stroke in the field yeah oh you're sure oh by far Ambo gets the bird there great tapping in who's 3 yeah and I say like for like the open field a par 4 is pretty soft but for like the advance do that's pretty spot all and I said yeah yeah and hole 11 is a par 3 it's 270 feet pretty much your standard forehand hyzer or you can throw I mean the the gaps the fairway is wide enough to where you can throw a turnover mid or putter whichever you prefer whatever you're comfortable with as long as you miss those trees The Guardian trees right in front of the basket yeah the hardest part about this hole is that it just slowly kind of slightly turns to the right yeah she's more like the harder shots to do in Disco honestly okay either throw a forehand that's pretty straight it's like a little bit of fade or backing that slow turning yeah very difficult to do mm-hmm I personally prefer for handing a t-bird it just kind of flips and rise all the way there skip too much Neagle I think he actually went with a mid probably um he's he's so good at flicking those mid ranges yeah Clayton's going over going with that turnover you just kind of yeah yeah those backing is just tend to kind of dig into the ground yeah you've got to get it a little bit higher but there is also trees there so it's a little bit more touchy with the backhand as opposed to the forehand I was going with the turnover as well second ice though yeah it just needs to yo that's perfect nevermind I was down first I can shame on me and again and this is a fair way kind of set up just for Greg like something that just slowly turns yeah this is so good at those rags not burning this yeah yeah that's Greg bars be classic Greg bars be one-on-one right there yep and richer has a fantastic forehand as well doesn't know is and he has hit the bull's eye Clayton's got a long putt for his to looking at about 60 feet come on yeah II guess yeah he's been doing that he's just been hiding right in front of the bass on almost every hole so just needs to get it a little bit more right and he is on the money oh no God misses his 2015 photo dad is a very surprising mess right there Wow settles for par take advantage of that get a birdie that's him at 2,100 yeah he's starting to run away I'll be surprised if Greg does not do the same guys starting to catch Eagle yeah this is this is this is definitely one of the easiest holes in the course as well oh yeah Richard tapping in for his birdie that was a great shot it's his whole head a little bit underrated oh it's really nice and whole 12 par 4 this is arguably the hardest part of the hardest hole AB is that blackhawk yeah it's 540 feet and the fairway is just tight and there's a lot of I mean if you get left or right of the fairway if you see all those little trees there it's just it's not fun to be in there and then on the left side it's just thick and bushy and hard to get out of and you pretty much just have to pitch out apparently during the practice round so I heard eagle through a giant Anheuser and ended up 20 feet from the basket what that's unheard of I can't even like I would have had paid to see that like that is I mean is he gonna doing that looking at it no it doesn't look like yeah it looks like he's just gonna place a because I mean unless again if you end up left or right on the fairway it's your year you're guaranteed yeah he definitely picked out a landing zone and he's just trying to hit that that area you're not going yeah he's in the uphill ideal spot for a throw some straight a little bit of Heiser and just put right in the middle he's he's pretty far back on the basket no wait her on the tee pad he's going rolling he's going roller oh if that had been just a little bit left and stood up that would have been money yeah it would have been huge and richer playing smart Python in midrash Greg got a nice little kick out there yeah he's still on the fairway Richards in a good spot as well claims trying to bounce back straighten it up yeah if you're going for that shot and your disc has any turn on it whatsoever you're probably gonna hit those trees right in front you got a horrible look for your up shot that's perfect hand pose in no good spots you'll have room for maybe even a slight hyzer oh yeah oh yeah look at that gallery that's awesome to see in Tulsa we have some amazing courses out here and we put on a bunch of tournaments yeah it's also disc golf we have a really good disc golf community here in town greg's everyone just like plays together that's yeah a really tough shot right there happened to put a me on it and now to stay up is very difficult that low ceiling yeah just a little bit short I think he was trying to throw it a little bit higher get a little bit of flex and Richard put himself in a same post up for a fantastic angle to the basket go flip up on the dorsum wow yeah that's so good that is an easy three right there and Clayton's like I said all those little skinny trees they're just in your way and he's gonna have to throw something tricky to get around it yeah I'm curious where he's lining up here yep yeah a little bit great block and that's not gonna be fun Oh take off it yeah that tree was well that tree was great and Clayton says he said enough of this I'm pitching out yeah he's I mean that's pretty much what she have to that's a really smart polite at that honestly the little skinny trees just multiply over there on the right side of the fairway yeah in the rough and it's not it's not a good place to be and he knows he's been struggling on this hole he's like I'm just gonna come sick cut up cut it off and just throw right in the middle fairway Gregg so long three save oh my god and oh right yeah it was a good bid oh yeah this Eagle for three this is Eagle for three I wouldn't assume you miss this but that right now well done this photo save the three as well you know his bird as well yeah he's in as well that's my nineteen down he's three back from evil equals pulling ahead here and in the back nine yeah clay he's got a little bit of a longer putt than I thought oh yeah he's he's just frustrated yeah got something going on with this putt Greg in to save Park that's really a great par from no no he was he was kind of behind those skinny trees as well no doubt hi and Clayton and yeah I'm I'm sure he's not happy with the par but it's it's the fact that I stayed with the fairway after that second shot was really impressive yeah oh yeah that kind of kept a minute you know yeah and Clayton tap-in for an unfortunate bogey yeah Richard that is it awesome three he played that whole Snow Queen and yeah that's that's a great three hole 13 is a par three we've got a wide open well not wide open but pretty open left and right side are over yeah yeah the middle here compared to the right side the less that's pretty wide open so we'll see we'll see a couple four hands here I'm sure that is preferred from these guys and then we'll also see some back hands but like I said the back hand is a little bit tighter than the four hand gap because there's a lot of little trees along the fairway that you have to miss yeah this hole always seems a little bit longer than it actually says yeah you got a pump it and it's gonna go pretty straight yeah all the way down to the basket I was lining up beforehand but he can probably all hyzer oh yeah absolutely he's still not very wide and that hits the tall grass there looks like it hit a little downed log yeah he's in a good position though yeah he's still gonna be left with about 50 to 60 feet Richard's going with the forehand as well that looks a little bit pinched off yeah just a little bit well fought through though yeah little bit short but he's he fought through pretty far down there yeah it'll be an easy three it's not gonna be an easy putt if he's gonna run the two that was taking that treacherous right side nobody do it perfect yeah go Oh past the basket okay just a little bit long but that is an awesome shot 20 feet out considering that right gap is so tight Wow Greg going forehand I wouldn't expect anything less oh yeah and he is right I'm in the circle perfect Clayton's going outside that's looking perfect yeah that's oh yeah and that's that's that's a real risk of going out going through that right gap is hitting those little trees because you have to hit you have to skip perfectly right up to the basket around there's so many trees on the right side a whole line that was like dead centers yeah just a little low they teach our dicks extant okay Richard's putt is not as difficult as I thought it was oh not at all his putters on fire this round inside catching the form Wow he's the speed manie's of this round yeah it is great pot Richard Clayton for steel looks like he's just outside the circle huh and hits the band and just when he put enough energy on it is a little bit high and yeah so you can tell you see he's starting to make those in round adjustments yeah yeah and Bo with a really good birdie as well and Craig will follow suit as well 20 20 under 20 under par and he him and Bo are making a move on Eagle yeah they're only two back and just a couple holes ago Eagle was ahead by four so yeah right here let's look at this leg we got in the middle of fairway this is a hole 14 par-4 589 feet pretty much you want to throw something that will turn over just a little bit right and land right in the middle of the fairway this is one of the harder holes on blackhawk as well you'll also see a forehand maybe a mid-range to lay up just so you can get a chance at the basket because it's going on the right side is pretty treacherous as well the left side left sides not as bad because there's a little bit of a gap but you've got to play this more you this is yeah you have to play it smart come on try to bite off a ton of distance off the tee you got to put it in their landing zone and then you might have a chance to get there for a birdie yeah like that looks perfect yeah that's a perfect layup shot right there yeah we'll give you an actual fairway throw have a great look it's a little Heiser tunnel towards the basket yep with a turnover they can keep turning this nice oh yeah that looks great he's just hugging that right side and have just trust in the disc and having it Heiser right back left into the fairway it was great good he's lining up a bag back-end yeah that's surprising you might be trying to make a move here yeah oh yeah oh it's burning yeah it's turning oh there's a little it's like a I don't know what I'm trying to call it but no trees no there's there's like a tree that's hanging over oh yeah into the fairway it's kind of a weird angled tree and that's what he hit you can see it right there it just kind of leans over into the fairway and catches those high-flying Anheuser that is God's he sat down yeah but he's not in a good spot he's good here for a chicken this would be a ball right here I'm not necessarily a-bombs about it's about 300 oh yeah right I think he's gone a little deep but it's still in the circle and he should be able to save his bird there and not save it to get his bird and Clayton out having to pitch out twice this back none yeah he's not having too hot of around that's what were saying you gotta be beyond the fairway yeah I can eat you alive boom turned up oh sure he's gonna be in the side the circle as well and Clayton this is kind of a weird angle towards the basket yeah it was not the best fish Oh oh he's struggling he's still gonna be about 70 short at the basket Gregg finding a window and that was pretty good from where he was at yeah he's gonna be I think outside the circle on that putt like 3540 feet Eagle left at the super easy upshot yeah that's he's got that all day clings is trying to get off this hole and he was up a good shot and here's Craig he really needs this yeah yeah cos Eagles does it how many big puss can we get yeah that's that's a clutch putt from Greg right there especially after shorting that up shot a little bit and knowing that Eagle is just tapping it first for a three right yeah yeah man Richard for the bird as well yeah it's not too far behind these guys Tony you just got play that first shot safe and then makes the second shot a whole lot easier yeah Clayton it's gonna have to settle for a bogey on this one but it looks like we have four birdies and a bogey which is pretty impressive on that hole that is hole 15 we've got par-3 304 feet pretty much just rides all the way to the right pretty tight fairway there's a tree right in front of the tee box that gets in your head but pretty much you want to throw a forehand flat something over staple that will just skip up right up to the basket you'll also see a turnover shot as well but mostly these guys will be throw-in forehand yeah for that forehand it needs to be on Heiser pretty much the whole way like it has no time to go that straight it's gotta be going right pretty much immediately yeah well I don't know about highs were the entire time because then you kind of skip into the woods well if you throw hard enough they throw yeah yeah yeah you've got to throw hard on a hyzer but I mean if you can get something over stable throw it flat towards those trees right in front of the basket and have it skip up right and yeah you'll be at least inside the circle I'm go took a pretty mean kick off that tree yeah that's he's not gonna be in a fun spot that looks perfect oh yeah yep and that's what you want and I like to play the skip pretty much every time well that's just minutes I do too I like to know where it's gonna lane so I can like measure the the like how much skip I get out of it you know Clayton's going with that back in line it's so much harder that backhand line is so hard this is one of those holes where you pretty much have to have before he have to bow hit a branch hopefully he can save the full other three this is pretty far oh no he's gonna have to tap in for bogey there man huh that's crazy how a bug is this old yeah this is Richards all over it I don't know if it's necessarily a must get but you can't for it yeah I can't fall for it you can't for it eagle with a great bird just continuing the slaughter 24 down Wow he is just on fire this tournament Gregg with the great birdie as well keeping up with Eagle Gregg's just playing his game playing safe getting the birds trying to just make moves on Eagle unless you're tapping it for this poor and Clayton's gonna have to just tap in for his bogey unfortunately hole 16 we've got a par 5 foot which is a 639 foot pretty much you want to throw it right down the gut you'll just be right in the center of the fairway and you want to throw maybe a hyzer or forehand up to the basket and so it's it's it's hard but I don't really understand why they have this listed as a par 5 because for these guys it's it's it's a big it's a pretty easy three so in my opinion this should definitely be a par 4 if I've three-d-- it in these guys it's it's gotta be a par 4 but we have enlisted as a par 5 right now so yeah we might see a couple Eagles so it's it's a pretty tight tunnel initially off the tee as long as you can have maybe a fairway driver a distance driver that flips up flat and just rides that that fairway all the way down to this little open area lot then oh and see that's not what you want it's gotta get flood yeah it's it's it literally has to unless you're evil McMahon and you can just wash all my Heiser on the right side of the fairway all the way down but yeah that's he pretty much threw the ideal shot you want to be right there in the open area past this little this little tunnel Richards fighting past eagle isn't he I don't think he's past eagle he's he's a little bit short name because Eagle Eagle actually hit that gap right up there well yeah he launched it bo looks like nothing too much yeah yeah fortunately kick though yeah yeah he's still he's still in the fairway but I mean that's not gonna be an easy up-and-down stayin out yeah that's a great shot yeah that looks great as well Greg from his second shot this is not easy and he has just pulled this - all right oh and it looked like it kicked right decane yeah it kicked right into straight into the woods and that is not where you want to go whatsoever oh and beau is done the exact same thing yeah Beau's done the exact same thing that's not what you want on this hole I thought Richard pipe hit the branches he's gonna have an interesting putt with that little tree right in front of the basket waiting after a monster drive in Clayton it's just a little bit long and left but he will have look at this shot and Greg he's putting Wow he's he's probably about 40 out from the woods that is an incredible shot you can't you couldn't really see how small the window was from where he was then that up show yeah eagle-eye abuse eagle was way up there that's he pretty much threw it I think he threw a mid-range forehand as oh yeah and I mean that's just some over stable boy Richard why for the Eagle go downtown he's making so many long putts yeah he's what his putter is just on point right now he's got that so dialed in represent salsa area yeah yeah shout out shout out Richard why forever alsa Oh Greg Greg's not you Greg's not holding back right now he's trailing Eagle he's the world champ he is he's he's he's like I'm not trying to give how does that happen he's like I'm not I'm not I'm not getting deep but it's like a big fun yeah yeah and Ranger in Clayton we have we had three Eagles on the whole like I said like that's that's a par four for these topless yeah but that's um that took some monster puss oh yeah oh yeah aside from me except yeah but um hole 17 is a par 3 it's 234 feet this is an absolute must get you pretty much throw a forehand you get throw up for a mid-range putter the I throw Firebird or you can go the backhand which is it's it's kind of like that longer hole 13 oh my man word Eagles gone straight into the woods straight into the woods yeah that's that's not good that looks good though yeah but it's really good yeah that's that's that's perfect pretty much what you want but I'm like I said like the the left side gap is just so much easier than the right side gap the less I get there's one initial tree that one right there that you have to miss after that it is wide open on the right side there's like four or five trees down the front I use just aim at the tree and I it just happens to a little bit laughs a little bit right away yeah and you're as long as you miss it you're putting yeah exactly you do hit us sometimes those up there as well yeah see like that was a bad shot and he's still like yeah as long as you be that you know as long as you don't hit those bushes a stir situation he's gone for hand roller sky roller or hands sky-high any roller and it looked like it didn't turn over for him and he's in the woods this is the safest 3y boy that is a fantastic thing actually this I think he was bogey-free up until this hole and whenever we were there filming after he made that putt he was like not this whole hahahaha but look I mean is the shortest hole in the course I'm pretty sure yeah that'll be and the fact that he was bogey-free on blackhawk is just phenomenal as I yeah it makes me really jealous yeah cuz this this course eats me alive every time I play it yeah I think that's that resonates with most people these guys are making it look really easy this is Greg to get a stroke on the eagle and he does I wouldn't expect anything less when the world champ Richard why I'm so impressed with Richard this time yeah yeah he was healing at this tournament yeah yeah turn on a switch he's been a gamer the whole life yeah super dial just turned on it they can hear his putts yeah turn on his inner level or his inner top level Pro yeah he's in her a thousand plus oh yeah it's playing well overs writing yeah yeah he's he's representing tall so really well hole 18 is par 3 to 89 feet it's this is kind of a tricky hole because there's so many little trees like this is this is Blackhawk likes there's so many just little skinny tree is that you have to MIT and I'd say most people will be throwing turn to turn over yeah turn over or if you're confident in your forehand to hit these little gaps you know you can throw a forehand but definitely most people will be thrown turn over yeah you just say Richard you think though and he hits that little tree yeah I know skinny trees and you think the four would be a good point so and sometimes it is but it you got though it's so straight without missing or without hitting trees yeah so more than yeah and Clayton actually threw a really good tarnish out there minute promise you can see it's through here and now if you can squeeze yes it's a great ploy yeah yeah if you can literally all those little trees right in front of the basket are so daunting from the tee box but when you do this play yeah if you get past those freeze the fairways a little more open on the right side yeah please look I get to do that initial and that's just how do you tie it looks like an eagle is just pulled this straight into the woods if it fought through but he's deep in the woods that's kind of that grave up yeah he kind of sold that one off just a little bit deep and bow those that was a good up shot yeah Eagle from the woods let's see if he can do it again from 17 but no it looks like he's just laying afterward smart play very smart play in Clayton just came down there you can see that just hit the change and just thank God David save this poor and eagle with the par safe he's he's not happy with that especially was Greg sitting there he missed every single easy hole in this course and yes just tore it up hey Ben Greg both really I mean Eagle Eagle had Eagle missile Eagle missile yeah Eagle missed the let's see he bogeyed 17 yeah he missed the easiest holes on this course no he part 17 sorry yeah yeah and then Greg took I think two or three fours and still toward a that's a - and he's he's he's one stroke back from Eagle now yeah he's feeling going into the third round and he's uh he's feeling good right now oh yeah yeah but that will conclude our back nine of the 2018 Oklahoma open eagle is one stroke ahead of Greg it looks like and Chris Clemons making a move Taylor Sears as well on this second round and we're gonna also gonna have Richard while on the card as well should be an exciting card to watch out on the ball golf course lots of columns yeah lots of bombs and we be a blast to
