what is up everybody we are back at it with some disc golf coverage this is the 2019 Mohawk Park open in Tulsa Oklahoma it is sponsored by Heiser Baum discs we've got an awesome card boat Tillman I'm sure you guys are familiar with him out of Edmond Oklahoma Zecharia Theon sent out of st. Louis Missouri and the Coleman out of Stillwater and Andrew Lackey out of Tulsa Oklahoma the hometown hero oh yeah and yeah I'm sure you guys are familiar with this course we film this at the double oh yeah well my favorites in Tulsa us for sure oh yeah I'm getting straight into it this is hole one par-3 284 feet a lot of trees in this fairway you really want to throw a dead straight mid-range or putter shot you can there is a little gap on the right side as well but I think the preferred play is hitting this Center gap and having something slightly turn and land right inside the circle yeah sometimes I like to throw that a forehand flex shot just cuz I'm facing that initial gap makes a little bit easier but yeah I'd say the backhand is probably the way to go yep very good able for these open guys for sure and he's got a slightly missed those couple of trees right in the middle fairway and should be all the way down there mm-hmm there's Matt Siri shout out to matsuri for an integrate tournament he always runs smoother missus you're one of the best best tournament directors we got get straight into it we got Bo Tillman here probably going rock yeah and that is all you're asking for is a little slight turnover we have Zach Johnson so the first time we got to film him yeah super chill guy yeah super nice super positive and it's got a killer forehand he keeps it about fell off the ground but it goes like 500 feet tells him so hard yours Emmit him it's a pretty salty player out of Oklahoma - mm-hmm going on that right cap and that's fine it's gonna be about 3540 feet yeah that's that's like the commonplace line if you don't throw it perfect mm-hmm we got Andrew and he's actually a part of Tulsa or the University of Tulsa disc golf team called the golden aces you know him and probably six other people yeah played with few guys to you those guys oh hey oh my god could you imagine starting the round off with that kind of putt yeah that was a great run from Zach and I think that little tree got in his head definitely I had to straddle away from and you know starting off clean there you go waving to the fans bow to them both things I guess see we have a massive gallery for this man hey there's basalt yep a little bit of a ante Punit and answer is pretty new to the open scene so let's see how is uh how we can like control his nerves you know yeah good pop I am it yeah that's always pretty nerve-wracking moving up and then especially in your yeah when you're all film to it when you move up right like you kind of like become like the better player right and you move up and then you're like whoa it's an obvious geyser as good as me it's a very awkward to the hit yeah alright we are on to hole - this is a par 3 300 2 feet and it's really just a big Heiser around this tree right here you want to throw it out wide and you can throw it low you can throw it high whatever you're comfortable throwing and it'll most likely get within a circle yeah I'd say the the Miss is commonly pretty short about 30 to 40 short it's super easy to have a putt obviously but getting it to that prong spot is kind of difficult with that mound right there mm-hmm and I always feel like I have to push those back trees a little bit closer than it looks from the tee box yeah so here's Bo I was taking a tighter line yeah that's real tight and just looking good Oh flashes the basket that was about a foot behind that would have gone straight in yeah would have and here's Andrew looking a little tight yeah a little saw it off maybe yeah it's gonna be about 40 footer yep it's still a makeable putt though yeah one of my st. Louis Cardinals Jersey second-round and Zach approved they're not being from st. Louis revved of it and keeping it low it's looking good though oh yeah that's beautiful and that is parked yeah going with that more straight approach it kind of takes away the skip that often happen heavens on this hole mm-hmm okay you can get away from me sometimes yeah you can take some huge skips and then up over by hole threes teeth yeah I've done it I do it almost every time like for some reason I just can't get this hold down yeah it's right in front my face yeah I try to throw it a little bit higher so it kind of spikes those happy that stayed in yeah that's gonna put them two for two and Zach almost two for two with that close pile and hold on mm-hmm Andrea good par save and a couple of the holes on this course we're crazy flooded so we're playing a couple of temp holes after this yeah it was really wet and cold the week and a half before this and and those holes would have the temperatures to dry it all up so yeah and those holes have been floated for a couple weeks now yeah ever since not that massive downpour yeah yeah speaking of temp holes this is gonna be the first one hole three par 3 320 feet you really just want to throw Heiser out this right gap and make with the overstable fairway and have it skip up to the basket there is OB behind into the right as well that wrote and the basket is actually gonna be where Bobby is standing right here in the white will explain the rules and its really awesome thing that he's doing yeah yeah thanks Matt and that just straightened up too much on him he was wanting to get a little bit of a skip up to the basket it's got surprises that didn't take that for Hanlin and that was just turning over too much Oh No and he has found that Obi Road now is he saying when he walked to his desk it was like on the grass did like a cardiac are a while car came and drove over it don't over yeah it like did something to discount off the wind picked up from like the car and like blew it but yeah it ended up in the grass but it did settle out of bound right so he will play it from where it went out and aim it take a nice tree kick putting about 30 laps of the basket you know ain't you're throwing it way high and he's gonna have a long putt here just a little bit too low just a little light on that one this is the first weekend we had nice weather in a while yeah it was it was what this round was probably like these do something Oh screw what you're saying look at that putt Wow dead center chains it could not have hit that any better it was perfect great putt by that great parsekar said yeah sadly wasn't for the two but we're gonna do he's feeling good staying under par three holes in em you have to build up the top it was really strange seen people in shorts I was like holy crap yeah I haven't seen people's legs in a while all right that sounds a little weird but we're gonna keep it that way Oh Kevin in his par believe we have a star par which is very shocking I thought we might see a part for a star birdie yeah always the basic Heisey easy hole yeah alright we're on to the second hole hole for slash hole to be it's a par 3 330 feet a little bit longer than the last one but the basket is gonna be behind this big tree that you see on this right side and again it is where Bobby's standing because we didn't get to the drone footage before they moved the baskets so yeah and I'm some low-hanging branches on this hole - so you got to pick your poison left-to-righter this tree the forehand route I think looks a little bit cleaner but absolutely but the I mean you can do both as long as you keep it low and aim for a skip shot you should be good mm-hmm pretty easy hole yeah these holes made Blackhawk play about like a stroke and a half to two strokes easier you're sure I probably I say two strokes because those two holes that were taken out or extremely difficult yeah mostly the first one was the hole 12 yeah yeah 12 and 13 and Zack doing it way low and he just scan all the way up there warm burner to the max yeah like as I was filming that I was prepared to like stop my camera right through through it I thought he threw it right into the ground and then just buzzed right past me oh yeah Wow and that's doing the exact same thing why not help me see that last one but he didn't get the multiple skips like Zack did yeah Zack also those are extremely hard just going a little high yeah gonna be a little bit short but I'll have an open putt at it long putt it's just a little bit wide here's bow from about 40 oh yes feeling himself putting him three down through four yeah caught that up cutters real confident right now damn it just a little bit wide mmm and sack maybe he was kind of tuned into that long putt cuz a whole one he kind of adjusted and then hole three he hit that putt right and the 15 footers feel weird let's parse of him and you're cleaning up the bar as well and now we go into the woods where it gets extremely difficult oh yeah here's where the teeth of Blackhawks start chewing all right this is hole five it is a par four 455 feet and you really want to throw there's a turnover line which a lot of people throw there is also a forehand line as well which is a little bit more comfortable because you can play a little bit more on that left side but um yeah it's uh not not too difficult of a par four really I'd say four open players a place where it plays as a par three I'd agree but for this tournament we did play it par four so we might we might get to see an eagle yeah and the the struggles on this hole is really if you go right if you go in that rough on the right side it's extremely difficult to get back out yeah but the left side is a little more a little more fair so as long as you don't kick too deep right your left I mean yeah that looks perfect and that is a great shot by beau he makes his it makes it look so effortless yeah just like his throws very effortless even like the discs I've his hand it looks like it's going slow but just keeps going and floats there I swear it's crazy and Zach had a good-looking forehand and just turned over a little bit too much into that tree on the left side and Tim it's kind of done something similar yeah you can tell the kind of trying to play it sir if I put a little more Annie on it mm-hmm playing the left side a bit more hit holy branch oh that's right yeah got some fortunate tree cakes there yeah that's gonna be a really easy up shot for the birdie assume he doesn't can that long jump putt yeah yeah let's hook it up from Emmett and this is one of the dangers on this hole you can get stuck behind some some trees and you can make it very difficult but hmm is that finding his way around him yep here's Andrew for birdie or Eagle Eagle yeah he's still got about 20 feet yep though for Eagle hmm and he really wanted that one yeah yeah two on this holes definitely a stroke on the field I've done it one time it was with about 70 foot putts so it's not easy and Zach actually his we heard from a series officially with Heiser boom now oh yeah congrats to Zach Johnson yeah he kind of went undeclared slash hashtag team me team me up for the offseason and then went within oven is now officially joined the end of a branch I'm sure Matt Baume I'm sure Matt series stoked about that oh yeah yeah great player to have on the team but cleaning up the birdie still gonna put him at four down all right well you're on to hole six this is a par four as well 440 feet it's just a really tight hole which is why I think they marked it this apart for there's a tight gap right off the tee that you want to hit and then it kind of carries right you really just want to throw a forehand have a flip up flat and then skip up to the basket that's really the play but yeah it requires a lot of accuracy yeah sure yeah for the forehand you really got that perfect if you want to get down to the basket you gotta get the foot flat ride straight right before it gets to those trees and then highs right in front of it they put the backhand just a slow turn over so we'll just pick what you want to do mm-hmm both work out but not if you do that yeah oh just got a little bit too right there it's accent show us the forehand line oh yeah that's looking really good kept it nice and low got the skip oh wow he's all the way up there yeah he's he's way up there are you serious yeah he's gonna be looking at an equal oh my goodness and that is just about the best cakey oh it rolls a little bit more back into the fairway he's not up there but no he'll have about 70 feet for this hole that that's up there yeah you can make it happen right there that's just a nice-looking turn over we're really good from Andrew it's not gonna be enough to get them all way up there but that's in a great spot mm-hmm don't have a putt I hate having it thrown up shelf right here you know if you do hit one of the early trees it's just like a slow turn over up shot and it's like that that is often what happens just wide though gave it kind of a half run but I'll have to tap in for the power yeah this is definitely a course where if you're in the fairway the whole round you're gonna be shooting decent you know oh yeah even if you're not putting well but here in the rough it it's almost impossible shoot a good round like there's there's no recovering from all these holes yeah there's two brutal just gotta stay in the fairway yeah although it is way easier in the wintertime no believes oh yeah slash ticks yo yeah take slash mosquitos to squash my dad don't go here leave we had three birdies in the par all right we were on the whole seven this is a par four 560 feet this doglegs way left so my favorite hole out here yeah you really just want to throw a placement shot throw some overstable have it skip to the left here into this open area you really I'd like ideally want to get past these trees here and then from there you have a pretty easy up shot yeah and you can think if they like the perfect shot of tea and you can still get robbed by that bunch of trees there yeah that's very true if you're stuck behind those trees then good luck get in your three yeah you're you're most likely looking at four unless you can throw something really tricky yeah I feel like I throw maybe seven turn over forehand shots a year and they're all from behind those trees okay you know like yeah and a bat bat or a forehand roller yeah four in rollers I'll pop them out just for this hole yeah oh yeah get out trouble shots right here is Zack is it good we can drop yeah seems a little too high yeah he's gonna be behind those trees yeah you really got play for the skip shot in my opinion there is a little backdoor gap there is which it looks like he's popped out of so later yeah I'll have a open up shot there it's gonna be pretty - pretty difficult pretty far away but definitely oh yeah and that is the ideal landing spot so the other guy didn't Gary Harrison yeah he was on the Copperhead Kenya average and he throws a cut Roller office I I haven't witnessed it I was it I've heard he touches the pins I heard it for a while and I Zach to split that gap that was a really good up shot from Zach from where he was at yeah anytime you're throwing a forehand Annie that's holding that line the whole way it's it's not easy yeah and Emmett that's what you see how about yes afraid break is I've done that so many times just like shorted it because I was afraid yeah me personally if there's a chance of breaking my arm I am NOT throwing that shot yeah I'm throwing a forehand roller some people wait and risk it but that no that's not me it's not that important you know forehand rollers I just didn't turn over yeah and that's a tricky cuz you really hardly ever throw those so you definitely don't practice them yeah sure some guys do 150 foot 401 Blaine Blaine practices it by just rolling it to like the next tee pad and practice round right and yeah it's a good birdie from Andrew yeah good putt really good follow but was now five down through seven yeah he's playing pretty salty right now it's good start all right we here on to hole eight this is a par three 268 feet there is a left gap and a right gap if you're comfortable throw in forehand throw it down the left side I'm having skip up to the basket appear comfortable with the backhand throw it down this right gap and hope for the same thing really you just want to miss the trees also side note we this this park is really close to the airport so we couldn't get drone footage because it wouldn't let our drone fly we couldn't get to fly through so we got the walkthrough yeah we got the walkthrough for you guys so that's why the drone footage is a little bit bumpy trying to make it work yep and this is the hole that Greg bars beat was about a centimeter from a saying yeah yeah he's do a forehand skip and it jumped up and hit the top of the cage yeah Andrew had a really nice shot there he's gonna have a tap-in birdie bow just leaving it a little bit right but he should be able to convert that putt yeah the four hand round like it's like there's a bigger initial gap but there's more trees down by the Basques on that left side so you have a better chance of getting robbed yeah that's for hands not quite feeling right yet yeah not the best upshot he'll still have about 20-25 Zach scaring it a little bit here's Beaufort - oh and that is surprising to see yeah kind of whack that branch maybe that branch grabbed onto his shirt or his hoodie or something that's a great par say by Emmett and we actually saw like four or five forehand putts at the last term that we filmed with a winter warm-up right there trending right now yeah mostly from Trevor yeah both happening and unfortunate three that's very good Drive yeah this is the hole you absolutely won a birdie yeah this is a must get a Blackhawk and I was a great Drive from Andrew all right we are onto a hole nine this is par-3 248 feet as you can see there's just a really tight gap down here and as long as you hit this initial gap and it carries straight and you're good you'll see a lot of straight mid-range to putter shots and yeah yeah some will pull out that forehand yeah I don't really like to because it's such a short hole yeah that's right that's a really touchy shot is be very touchy so you also got these little bunch of trees and the behind the basket that I often go behind which means they're very frustrating yeah they kind of play is a little backboard yeah that can stay straight mmm and that's gonna be a really tough but like you were just saying yeah hopefully those trees aren't aren't too much in his way yeah I really want to hit those trees cuz getting behind him is not fun and Boas saying hooray I made the gap yep he should be able to get his bird does that go in this little Annie forehand I like that play I did too and it's my only sneak out of there yeah that doesn't happen too often on this hole no usually you end up like behind just a bunch of bushes and ooh that is not what you want there nobody at least he has an open shop in there it's actually a very good kick for this hole yeah yeah that'll work yep Andrews actually not directly behind those trees yeah he's got a clean line yeah such a tad short yeah you really wanted to get a birdie going into these next uh polls because they are treacherous mm-hmm you definitely could use the extra strokes oh yeah oh and that's surprising Missy from beau there yeah you don't you don't ever see him as 15 learners ever he's gonna stay a five down zach is now one back from him with Andrea well right that is going to conclude the front nine of the 2019 Mohawk open vote Tillman sitting at five down left a couple
