what is up everybody welcome back to the 2019 Nick Hyde memorial my name is Gabriel Dao and I'm here with Bobby Cobb how's it going everyone this tournament is sponsored by Southwest funding and Heiser Baum disks powered by end of a champion disks this coverage is brought to you by Wade's RV in Glencoe Oklahoma right off of Highway 75 and 161st so if you guys need an RV check them out for sure they got great RVs out there good selection and their website is Wade's RV comm so be sure to check that out this round we got a good group of players here kind of hitting all corners of the USA I got James Conrad out of Virginia philo brathwaite out of California Reed friskier out of Michigan yeah and then we got cow barn house out of Texas so kind of a local yeah yeah all-around whole one this is going to be a part three 303 feet they changed this up from last year they kind of moved it left and tucked it into these woods here so you really just want to throw something straight maybe a fairway or distance driver that will flip up flat and you're hoping to hit this gap here and have a but yeah there's really two routes you can take the wide Heiser which is a little more saves a lot of the mistakes during this tournament I've been selling it off up the middle and finishing away left so yeah and you definitely want to stay out of the rough here yeah that's like I mean just staring right out of four so you might see a couple Heiser's we'll see yeah and this is actually technically the third round but they cancelled the second round yeah so it turned into a two round tournament yeah there's much a lightning delay as much rain as well so yeah classic in a guide fashion right pun right there it's super hard to get all the way in there and pinch right the basket right in front of that gap it's perfectly fine just give yourself some some kind of look yeah usually find guys landing like right in the entrance there to that dial either left or right there we got Philo going with that straight shot yeah and that's flipping up and really nicely Oh all the way back there that's really rare to see though him yeah that's really rare but great shot from Philo and he's gonna be left with about a 25 footer for his birdie we got a great gallery follow us around this really sentai round yeah from the jump yeah despite the inclement weather yes it's gonna be a little bit worse than you see out here but let's just embrace the dryness yeah always fun to film a lefty he's trying to turn that over and it looks like it's flexing out on him too soon and he's gonna have a tough tough spot there he has a really tough shot for left you know I think about it on that right side there actually is a tiny little window in between the trees so he might be looking to just kind of punch one through there we got Kyle put that a little bit more on a hyzer line and coming back nicely and that's perfect yeah it's a great look for us too well that's what you're talking me up that little window right there here that's a great spot Elena yeah if you want a plane for that since the Obi's right there but yeah I mean if they claim for three it's not a bad spot really and I guess but not ideal James with a little bit of a mess there first first part of the round so trying to dial it in this is Philo for two after the great Drive beautiful and as a good way to start the ground I think these guys are what two strokes off the lead is a super tight race yeah super super close between the chase and lead cards so this was actually the second toughest hole in the course that's a absolute bonus birdie yeah there's Conrad after he got a little bit of a roll away next there tapping in for three definitely not what he wanted after that drive right all right hole - this is a par-4 468 feet one of the holes that stayed more similar to the old layout most of these guys will be laying up on this right side here and just laying up to take their three it's a very soft part for very equal as well so we might see some runs yeah a lot of the lot of the Eagle looks come from a massive skip on that right side so yeah you really updated hug those trees with something that flips up flat to give yourself an eagle look then you got that OB water kind of behind the basket it's pretty difficult hole and I mean it is a par 4 so I mean that softens a little bit but yeah and this hole actually played the second easiest hole really of the day so if that tells you anything about how soft this par-4 really is oh no well it's not looking easy to follow yeah that's not gonna be a fun spot he's kind of I got low ceiling yeah there's there's somewhat of a tunnel a little bit further up where he got but still not not the ideal spot you want to be this is James just needs to get outside that tree and it doesn't yeah that was that was huge running that for Eagle and that treats have a lot of disks it does that's like the most common tree to hit on this hole yeah we got our lefty yeah he's definitely playing the four here or playing the three and that's a good spot I'll have an easy little upshot for his three there here's Kyle let's see if he tries to run the Eagle here nope he's go on taking that white around ultra safe and that's totally fine that's the thing about running that eagle that was like because you have to hug those trees you can get in some really nasty spots absolutely as you can see here he follows really got nothing he's gonna try a forehand but lay I mean yeah that's he would had to shape that so well to get all the way up to the basket such an awkward angle here at least he's got a backhand and he's trying to play this skip it looks like he found that tree he's gonna have a long look to save his for here we got James with one of his Avery ours that's gonna be about 4550 short there yeah you're not the slide up you wanted you do have to be super touchy on the subfloor and it's like all dirt pretty much the waters like 30 feet to the left yeah so definitely want to be careful this is Kyle putting out a really nice up shot it'll be a little bit short there but should be able to convert that putt and this is Reid taking a skinny gap oh yeah I'm guaranteeing this is a layup from Philo oh yeah a very painful layup yep he's just telling it to sit down yeah and it does out that's well done this holes got some teeth this is James from about 45 feet though yeah but Sam I thought hitting James that's him at 10 down yeah that's a really good run with the water behind there and Kyle taking a birdie that'll move him to 9-under PAR played the hole really well along with Reed he's gonna move to 10 to be right there with James silo with like five putters in his hand yeah what is it bad crazy I me it feels like super windy and he was trying to decide like what stability as I kind of get it but yeah that's a lot of letters to have in hand they're good he's nice handful yeah alright hold three this is a par three 396 feet it does carry downhill there is the baseball field on the left side that plays OB the basket is kind of tucked on this little hill here you can play into the hill like right before it which is ideal but as we saw a couple guys yesterday they went behind the basket and took some massive skips and ended up having a really long putt yeah if you can run this basket you got to be real careful with that Obito behind yeah James that turned over on him a little bit too much and he's gonna be OB there and have a long three save this is not an easy lefty hole though yeah he's just playing the mass of Annie yeah just turned it something over and that's actually really well time huh that was super impressive he's probably gonna be about circles edge at the bottom of the hill there yeah and Kyle just barely clipping that tree who's kind of yanked it a little bit yeah I put it out to wide I'm stop the lay up and take a three phyllo keeping it nice and low after the bogey yeah you shot beautiful shot and yeah he'll be about 25 30 feet there Kyle just laying up oh yeah it was floating above the back in there for a second it got that little high I thought but maybe I was playing the wind or something yeah ginger the soft run the softest run she could possibly do that's probably just straight up way up yeah and I look at it I says Philo for the two he needs this for the mental game and he converts that's a scary putt to cut down slope yeah always feels good to follow a bogey with a birdie just kind of gets you back on track mentally yeah will hi inside there yeah it looks like we got everybody tap in and four powers aside from James who will tap in for bogey that'll move them back to 9-under par yeah and you can't say that Opie from the tee box so you're just praying it stays in the Hat exactly all right hole for this is a par-3 372 feet it does carry a little bit downhill so you can disc down a little bit maybe throw a mid range but I think most of these guys will be throwing a fairway driver I'm just trying to get it straight and ride that hill all the way down you can't really afford to take a little bit of turn on the drives right because there's those trees on the right and those are we've seen a bunch of guys hit those so you really just want to get it as straight as possible yeah which is why it makes this hole pretty hard I mean right and straight shot is technically the hardest shot and so and file is not happy with this one but it works out really nicely yeah I mean that's he looked really frustrated 20 feet out yeah must have thought it was gonna hide her out a lot sooner than it did that just got too much ante on it might be coming back a little bit though and he'll have about a 40 foot putt for his birdie it's Carl he's got a fairway driver in his hand oh yeah started a week and that is leaking right hey that was a perfect line though yeah and he's gonna be about 50 feet from the basket for his birdie his James pumping out of mid-range didn't quite get it high enough and he's gonna have about 45 50 feet as well I feel like if the tee pad was all like ice James would still do that long run-up I mean he successfully does that every single time yeah a good run from Kyle there just a little bit too low chance to bounce back from that bogey and he left that just a little bit right kind of held on to his hand philo to go birdie-birdie after that bogey Wow very impressed well done I'll put him at 11-under par we got read to match Philo with the two and he does it that'll move him to 11-under par as well yeah this water right here wasn't here yesterday no after the rain there was like a little stream I mean he died by the basket it came down so hard yeah it was rain it was it was like borderline like monsoon in Asia like it might have been only for a couple minutes but I mean it was coming down so hard it was intense all right hole 5 this is one of the newly redesigned holes out here Harry Meyers difficult to get all the way there difficult to this actually played let's see it played the hardest hole on the multiplies by the I mean like the angles so weird to go all the way up there for the birdie it's just in the the initial gap is just so tight yeah you're you're really just wanting to get out the gap and pitch up for your three because the twos not not really in play yeah it's like very bogie Bowl and not very variable that's gonna lead to a very tough hole and that is not what you want on this hole Farlow has clipped that first tree and it's gonna be pinched off on the right side he's also gonna be throwing uphill from down there as well yeah we saw Nate Perkins have a fantastic up shot first round but you know you know about like it exactly yeah go for the hyzer flip not quite flipping yeah but he's out so but yeah he's out to get up and that's all you can ask for in this hole James looks like he's lending up goggies a slow turning shot yeah yeah just turning over a little bit too much on him but um it'll happen to look yeah really long to look of the group but getting that height it's just so so like almost impossible mm-hmm so just throwing that a little bit too low but a great upshot from Kyle and he will be able to tap in a par there not not the best upshot there but he's sweating good I got that putt settle for the bogey yeah I see part of hole yet I don't think so oh one maybe yeah no no no no he birdied though yeah he went birdie bogey bogey birdie yep yeah it looks like James was trying to give that a run earlier yeah yeah and Rees been putt and great all all tournament that's why he's in this position yep and good par from James there you are ecstatic about a par on this hole at yes Kyle's happening part as well and this is where the weather starts to kind of get a little iffy you see the wind picking up it starts a little bit chilly out there and you know these next couple hole we all know it's white umbrella yeah all right hole six this is a par 3 333 feet it carries downhill for the first 200 feet of the hole and then the basket is tucked on this little uphill underneath these trees here most of these guys will be throwing a big turnover shot or a big spike hyzer forehand we didn't see anybody take the straight shot first round but there's really no need for if you have you know the power which all these guys have so this is a lefty hole for sure I'm expecting Reed to get it pretty close when he just barely clipped that tree and he's gonna have about 50 feet for his birdie this is Kyle looks like thanks for the big Annie fading out on him yeah that's fading way too early I'll just have to pitch up for his par there James gonna turn over a mid range here I like that boy just kind of like let it glide there yeah and that's exactly what it's doing and he'll be about maybe just outside the circle down the hill no oh here we go and this is a rare update gut shot from um Philo here thing he do it pretty much perfect and he still Khatri yeah it's almost just like not worth going that way you know have a long look and Kyle just laying up there no use in running that but that's other thing if you come up short on this side you have always low ceiling to deal with yeah pretty impossible to get a putt out there let me do that immediately look at that fantastic putt from Reed and with that he's gonna take the lead on the card at 12-under par also shout out page Pierce for making a putt basically in three feet of water from down here you're right oh I saw that video yeah today I think she made it actually no but it was it was worth the attention it was a good athlete yeah yeah I wonder if she was contemplating lamb maybe I shouldn't have done that yeah now my feet are soaked although they're gonna be so getting was exactly and far from Kyle Barnhouse looks like Reed taking the lone birdie there all right hole 7 this is a par 3 367 feet it's very similar to the last hole in regards to the fact that it carries downhill for about the first 150 to 200 feet and then pops back uphill you really just wanted to throw something straight like a fairway and just hope you hit this gap and skip up to the basket it's really we still code with the roller first round true yeah you can relate that whatever you want apparently code is like the rollin man though yeah he'll tell that whenever you really don't need to but he does it I guess for shell yeah that is fantastic a really good shot from Reed I playing that hillside let me skip up there mm-hmm that's looking way too high from Kyle yeah that's yeah can only imagine he was trying to go under there yeah you know maybe he was trying to play it a little bit wider yeah but I'm no less last round last time I feel like he got aggressive yeah James getting aggressive there just barely probably about 10 feet too low and he actually got stuck in the tree there oh this looks money oh this is looking like the absolute perfect shot Wow yep that was so pretty yeah he's gonna be about 25 feet behind the basket and we'll have a pretty easy putt for his birdie is we just laying up James giving it a good run it's been quite put enough on it but he'll be able to tap in for par Milo Johnny had doubts for a second try to keep that Sun in there yeah it worked it did and um that's gonna move Philo to 11-under par so Reed for the birdie is well just a little bit too low yeah kind of a rare miss there about redacting yeah that's his putting style he kind of like keeps it lower limit chains kind of shoves it in there yeah kinda Ricky put well not all the way like a Ricky putt but in the way that it goes in there mm-hmm no one past like Ricky no it's very unique don't you dare try no because it will not work I've tried okay we've all tried yeah all right a whole eight this is a par three 372 feet there's a bunch of pine trees on the left and right side initially off the tee but once you get past those pretty easy hole you just want to throw something that flips up straight and hopefully misses these trees right here yeah so this is almost a must get on this course yeah definitely must get for these guys especially chasing the lead card and as you can see you can start to see the drizzle so it begins yeah follow it looks like this a little bit too low yeah just hit it out low but also the angle that this went hit the ground and you know allow it to skip at all yeah and it just turned over and hit the ground flat this is Reed throwing the soft little turn over that's looking pretty good yeah yeah I guess with the left you gotta kind of a knee around that that tree right there mm-hmm Kyle flipping this one up nicely and that'll work yeah that must have been like I'm like a mid-range that thing got real fly it's kind of floated there James taking a high route actually haven't seen this line yet no I hate the tree there philo just leaving it a little bit too low might have been laying that up but to be able to tap in par who names when I was in there and that was in the pond yeah I think you get relief from that water though you should've come behind you though right yeah you just barely left that too high I think he was trying to compensate for his putt on the last hole you know leaving it too low and James chooses to stand in the water - you have to honestly note why not yeah I mean if you take the relief that's like an extra seven feet back yeah exactly and were you tapping in an unfortunate par definitely wanted to keep that streak rolling and getting a birdie rub for this hole was crucial yeah oh right hole 9 this is a par 5 858 feet I actually played the fourth most easiest hole on the course and par 5 yeah that's its par 5 but personally think this hole should be a par 4 for these guys I agree but you really just wanted to throw something straight you can throw a forehand anything you can throw to get up to this clearing where these guys are and then from here you have a tunnel shot uphill towards the basket and then if you if you can get something to flip up you can have a pretty good look for Eagle yeah we've also seen people kind of go over the top on their second shot as well if they're in the right spot yeah but there is a double mando on the left side so on your second shot that kind of takes the big Annie play out of questions so it's Kyle doing a big shot over the top clips the tree and that might have been a good clip because he might have been pinched off on the left side if that kept going and he's gonna be in a decent spot there there's Philo who who thrown something just softly turn in the as my shot he is like the smoothest form he does have anyone on tour yeah he really does and this is a great first shot for a lefty just kind of aim for that tree and have a hyzer and that's exactly what he's done but he's clipped the same tree as Kyle yeah anyway how could what rosette as I say that cost him like an extra like 4050 feet yeah but yeah he is still in line for the gap so James is going huge here over the left side and he's gonna be in a decent spot that's not really an attackable position because we're just gonna have to throw Heiser through the gap and it's hard to get a hyzer all the way up to the basket it looks a little bit too low hugging those trees were really tight and that's a good shot he'll have a pretty easy up shot for his birdie the same whoo doing James then he wouldn't change things putting every inch of energy he has the best follow-through if anyone ever especially in that hair just kinda like flows over the shoulder yeah oh no and that is not what you want to do that doesn't kick out at all it did not I don't think at least you might have to push out yeah this is Kyle really in like an absolute money shot will wind drop - I didn't hurt anything and that is fantastic yeah he's gonna have about a circles edge putt for Eagle yeah that's that's insane yeah here's Reed this is exactly why you do not want to go into the rough just pitch them out kind of setting up the highs reply yep Oh note me as a lefty what you forgetting he's going with a little a knee here and we crushed it over top and he ended up in that bush back there and that there's absolutely nothing back there I think I'll adjust 10 probably any ante on this at all and it's gonna be left without mountain at 30 James going with that AVR and you went a little bit deeper than you wanted he'll have about a circles edge cut for his his birdie beautiful stroke there oh yeah great birdie from Philo gonna move him to 12-under par and still a tight race yeah and yeah Reed just forced a pitch out because there's absolutely nothing just Kyle for Eagle oh yeah that's awesome Eagle from cow barn house that will move him to 10-under par feels great to get that one here's James for birdie Oh No just leaving that a little bit too low yeah he's has been putting low at all this yeah very uncharacteristic from James to see his putting stroke off like this this is gonna be read for bogey and he's not happy about that what happens if you gain that rough at all I mean it is so hard to recover from that all right that is going to conclude the front nine of the 2019 Nick Hyde memorial so far we got Philo brathwaite in cow barn house shooting some decent golf they are sitting at 12-under par we got Reed Fred Sierra at a lemon under par he is one back from them and then James Conrad sitting at
