greetings disc-off world welcome back to the 2019 Nick Hyde memorial in Rockwall Texas this coverage is brought to you by Wade's RV in Glenn Poole Oklahoma right off highway 75 this tournament is brought to you by Heiser Baum discs so far we've got a good round going with some great players Kota Hatfield is coming up the gate swinging he is 500 par through nine holes we got bradley williams and nate perkins to back at three under par and then we got Zach Johnson at 2-under par so pretty pretty close card here they're all playing playing decent not a lot of big mistakes just not quite getting the birdies yeah exactly something like that yeah all right getting straight into it this is hole 10 par for 492 feet this is just a treacherous hole you absolutely must stay in the fairway you're pretty much just throwing a slight turn over a putter or mid range or throwing a forehand to this little mulch area and from here you have a very tricky up shot to get your birdie as you can see the bridge here is kind of in the way it's it's really tight through here so you really want to make sure you have a really good position going into your second shot yeah and this hole average like just slightly over a par so yeah it is it played the 6th most difficult hole on the course which is actually surprising to me I thought it would be a lot harder yeah a lot harder than that but these guys are know what they're doing so yeah you always got break this hole in half and find your landing spot and just trying to maneuver through the trees and get a look that's pretty much ideal yeah that's totally fine Cota ended up in that little ditch behind that mulch area I'm just gonna have to most likely just lay out here is Bradley throwing that soft Anheuser and he's gonna be right there next to Nate yeah it's beautiful yeah and that uh that turn of a line is really good for like the leg landing purposes you know you know a big flare skip like you live with that beforehand but yeah going I shot there I shot from Zach throw an old greenie I look down and see that and wife it's he has like old greenie so I would run it it's written in sharpie on the disc just did this name is old greenie thighs it's kind of like a that Trixie one of eagles disks I know that don't remember can't recall that pen Nate is gonna find himself in a rough spot there he might have a little look under the bridge there actually that'd be buddy granted but yeah we'll see it's super awkward position there from Bradley but got it to work pretty well really well about 20 25 feet short that's perfectly fine yeah that's totally fine we're doing anything past that bridge you're gonna be happy with mm-hmm assuming you're not you know behind like four trees here's Kota after here's a little pitch out so you turn that one over a little bit but he'll be able to save par from there most likely an eight so he went over young guy yeah he went over the bridge and that's well done I couldn't quite see the window but I'm sure it was absolutely tiny yeah and Zach yeah not the best effort there I'm just kind of having some fighting struggles this round probably just a little bit inside there and he will be tapping it for his par and Kota with a great par save their exact will be tapping it as par as well I believe this is a star bar that almost slipped out of your house squeaked out the backside good basket good basket Thanks yeah just a super-tough three you really gotta have two perfect shots yeah you really do all right whole 11 this is a par 3 256 feet this is arguably the easiest hole in course there are some trees initially off the tee that you have to get past but once you get past those you're pretty much there most guys would be throwing a forehand and planted out wide left and have it skip up to the basket yeah and you can see this gap is pretty doable for these kind of guys not too much to worry about hey turn that over in his hand and he's gonna be really deep there yeah I mean he was definitely going for the Flex shot but I just didn't get the hyzer yeah Ryan as you can see the winds blowing rekt Olivia so it kind of didn't really have a chance to fight back Nate's make an adjustment up for that and doing it pretty well yeah more for that way in that might have had a chance of skipping a right kind of pumped the brakes on it yeah he's probably going with a foreign as well a really low skip shot but well yeah it's not the best like it was gonna work out but it kind of died there towards the end just a little miss release there and I'm expecting this act to be all over this oh yeah that'll work a little deep but should be able to make that but Bradlee yeah that's from about 70 probably and not quite enough on that foot coder just leaving that one left yeah I think it's trying to put a little bit of Annie on it but just didn't quite get it no no it's a hack a little bit am side his parting is the only thing that's holding them back right now because I was fantastic off the drug yeah his tee shots are awesome yeah yeah he's frustrated he's not happy with rightfully so and those rounds are just so frustrating when you're just throwing so well and you're scrambling so well and you just can't hit a putt yeah it's like it's like it's right in front your face the birdie is right in front your face and you just can't grab it yeah and here's Nate with a Clark job tapping in for two that'll put him at four and he's now one stroke back from coda and Bradley staying at three under par that must be nice having a guy just carrying a cooler full of ice and cold drinks yeah all right all right hole 12 this is a par-4 655 feet initially off the tee you have a massive just downhill bomb you really just want to get something that will hold straight for a while and ideally you want to get past these trees here or not right here but a little bit earlier than that and have a clear look at the basket you really want to avoid selling it off because a few highs are early there is just a mess of pine trees on the left and it's you it's a blind tough shot from there so here is Nate no no just put that too wide and yeah this is a whole worse I mean it's even difficult just to have an like a layup yeah just getting a pass those that the first couple trees is not the easiest thing ever and then when you try to go over the top sometimes you'll get a pretty heavy fade like I was doing here you know and he actually got stuck up in a tree and he's gonna have a tricky lie there and it's worth noting this is like the first backup hole that we experienced yeah so let's play a copy coming off a little bit of a cold cold on Bradley song that off a little bit but squeaked out and you might have a look from there yeah the good thing about that left for up is there's usually always like an over the top line you know yeah and those trees are pretty widely spread out so there's usually some gaps in there yeah Zac someone a massive rock god and that might be one of the better drives on this hole for the day he's gonna be left with about a 200 foot up shot and Natan it's such a tough spot there yeah he is gonna be in the pine trees yeah he's just laying out from there there's nothing in there here's Bradley he has a look that's a big Heiser out there yeah I would take that it's about 20-25 short yeah here's Nate after that pitch out he's just going big spike hyzer yeah that'll work I mean he made a putt like that on the front nine so why not do it again you might have to take a knee first attempts but then it doesn't trick all the way down yeah yeah don't actually have a baseball which is like a brilliant thing to have in your bag right Koda thrown off the hyzer and not really the best approach there pin-high right but he's gonna be about 40 45 feet and zach kind of doing the same thing yep yeah this hole actually played the 12th most difficult which is really surprising as well yeah the economy average was 3.8 3 so quite a bit of birdies and apparently bunch of big arms is you know flying over all those trees I guess yeah Zach still struggling with the putter trying to figure it out makes me wonder what the first most difficult hole was oh great putt from Nate they're from Annie sad Leo's for bogey but yeah good bogey said no it's gonna move him back to 3-under par what were you saying I'm sorry I freaked out from the foot I was just wondering what the hardest hole oh yeah because that's how only ones that I thought for you to be the part is played up are yeah yeah nice birdie from Bradley you know and Bradley and Koda are tied up now all right hole 13 this is a par-4 593 feet you're really just trying to get out of this gap here you want to be on the left side of the fairway because there is a line of skinny trees that are kind of in the middle of the fairway here they're right under way Yeah right your way on the right side so like I said ideally you want to be on that left side because the look is just so much better there most guys will be throwing a forehand or mid-range out just dead straight and leave yourself with an open up shot yeah from what I've noticed is there's really no perfect landing zone make the up shot easy yeah I mean either way you got the face a really tough up shot so yeah just get as close that back treeline as possible and I might have some room to get it up there and that is about the worst spot you can be yeah it's right behind those trees can spread behind the line of trees just didn't get the slide up that he wanted that almost killed me almost killed you then turned over straight into the bushes there so that's gonna be he's gonna be left with about 330 feet from the basket yeah a side of bush that's gonna be insanely difficult yeah nice cut doing the same thing not quite as as far back in there but he'll be having a tricky up shot as well kkona everyone's kind of turn it over a little bit all owing the trend surprising this is Zach I'm gonna stand still wow this is incredible that came out flying is that kind of stick oh my good that was a standstill in the bushes over the top flex shot forehand five feet next to the basket hey that doesn't happen just to stand still 330 foot auntie Flo I think I was the best shot I saw all day yeah that's incredible shot from Zack there and Kota kind of nicked a couple branches immediately and can be left with another up shop probably and Nate might be trying to line up something similar to Zack and that looks like it's turning over it's not gonna get the fade that he wants yeah I think his line Maya actually been a little bit tougher than Zacks because it was a branch cut hanging outside yeah and yet they kind of get around that and forced them to throw up too much of a knee yeah and speaking of hole difficulty this is the third difficult hole okay that makes sense I mean yeah it's this one this one makes sense for sure I think it's mainly because the upshot so tricky hits so hard cuz the way up initially off the tee is really not that bad no I mean if you have any form in at all you can get out there just a super scary real al I don't blame him for leaving that short you know sadly he did kind of kick down under or down the hill a little bit but it's not too far rather with a good par save this is gonna be cutted for bar harm he is gonna stay at 400 really ask are you happy with walking away from ya he'll take a four on this hole all day long yeah this whole averaged over par so okay if you're if you're getting apart you're you're sitting pretty good par say from Nate still a tight race here and Zach after incredible second shot maybe shot of the day I think it is like it was an incredible Oh 14 misses a part three 365 feet similar to the last hole you have this line of skinny trees here so you ideally want to try and play at the left side of the fairway it's really made for forehand players you want to throw something out there that skips up to the basket trying to avoid these trees on the left side it said there's not really a backhand route yeah there is but you mean you got go perfect yeah you got get really sneaky and this hole actually plays in my opinion a little bit farther than 365 but Zach who seems to be throwing it like 500 feet gets pin hot no problem but it's be way left yeah Bradley's gonna try that back in line yeah and this whole averaged just barely under par it played the seventh most difficult oh okay of the day so I mean I can kind of see that yeah I can see how it would be pretty tough to get a lot of birdies throughout the field but I don't really see the bogie issues yeah Nate just turned that one over and it just kind of ended up flat and just slid yeah he's got it up a little bit too high yeah I got a little too high I think I'd be pitching up from there yeah he's well short get up mid-range flink Bradley actually ended up on the right side of the tree line so he's having to go over all top of this I don't even think he could see the basket for you yeah no it was a blind shot because we want to see it through the trees yeah when he walked up there he was pretty shocked it was that close just like nice yeah that's really good shot your Zach for the lone birdie on the card it's so close just barely to hi there beautiful par say bye Bradley they're shacked up in the 3 it's like we will have Koda and Nate doing the same everybody's staying at their respective scores Koda actually like gashed his leg at the last tournament which was last weekend Duncan yeah it was a thorn in the in the rough but it got him super deep and had to stitch him up and yeah but he's he said he's feeling a lot better now so don't think it's affecting him do that no all right hole 15 this is a par 3 238 feet a little little shorty most guys will be throwing a flex forehand through this left side gap there is also a pretty tight backhand line as well as long as you can get a putter amid just to flip up and ride straight there is also a sneaky little forehand spike hyzer lined around the left side if you can get that low enough and you actually threw that in your love you know in our casual round yeah I didn't see it at all I stuffed up the tee pad yeah you kind of have to get low and like look at it but it's it's definitely there I mean I think it's honestly preferred because you just cruise over all of it yeah Bradley's just going dead straight and that is perfectly done looks like Nate's looking at your lawn you know gonna try get low with it and just scoop it over those trees yeah that's all you need oh yeah beautiful and he's gonna be about 15 feet Koda taking that backhand route yeah this was a little bit more uphill than it looks on film - so you got control that light with the low-hanging branches yeah if you're taking the middle route there's a coda forced to just lay up and take his three this is Zack for his bird just a little bit right man if zach was putting good eh you'd be like probably like seven eight down oh for sure let's good-lookin come back through though here's Nate for two after that big spike hyzer at the forehand oh yeah I'll move him to 4-under par tied with coda and Bradley now well not for long nas but for long with that Bradley takes the lead of the card sitting at 500 par now it's makes a good comeback after that first hole yeah they'll get the first Pole in has now gotten 4-under par that's really shows his mental game yeah happen as he has he lost multiple strokes to the field or not to feel but that the car at the first three holes so yeah that's good comeback yeah alright hole 16 this is a par-5 783 feet this is a tough hole there is a lot of trees on the right side of the fairway there is a left gap that you ideally want to hit you're willing to throw to be a fairway or distance driver that has a little bit of slight late turn to it you want to end up past the initial line of trees so you can lay up to this just extremely good area this hole is so hard yes it's a horrible this actually played as the fourth most difficult hole in the course averaging 5.1 so just just over par so here we have Bradley after taking the lead on the last hole Oh God okay that was uh hugging that tree line pretty tight yeah and that's a decent shot he might have to contend with those pine trees right in front of him but the problem with this hole is like he had to have like an absolutely fantastic shot to have a clear look at the Eagle mm-hmm but if it's just like a normal good shot you still have multiple trees that could possibly be in your life yeah you're definitely playing for four on this one yeah this is this is a true par-5 sax just going over all over the top of those trees yeah that works yeah made the clearing their big Heiser's why I actually didn't see this line whenever we played the course well that's cuz we can't get it up that high Koda just caught that early tree you actually stuck in the tree oh that is turning way too much and I'm wondering feels triangle roller there because he does a crazy stuff sometimes yeah I don't think so honestly oka I think he was just trying to get something up to the clearing Nate throwing a good here he might be that's that's pretty darn good though actually that's that's pretty good Mike sigh really good in Saxon I tried to go over the top of all that which I like that play a lot assume you can find your discs yeah he's just barely in the rough on the right side should be able to have a pretty easy pitch out hopefully towards the batter deep into that tree yeah Bradley forced with a super low ceiling yeah just barely clipped that branch and he's gonna be a little bit pinched off there code white kick himself for even being in this position that was a great out shot yeah we'll have a pretty clear look there hopefully can salvage a par and Bradley going whale oh no that's going wait right and that's going way right over the pond and palm trees over Florida over towards the fairway of the next hole though yeah doing a good little skip shot there he'll be a little bit short you might have some old branches to contend with there but should be able to make Brady here's Coast fourth shot do it oh why did I swing more yeah I was a weird job it's coming straight out literally okay so Zach was lying this shot not this roller shot up but he was trying to figure out how to get to the basket for quite a while and then it was just like you know I can't do anything but a left handed forehand roller and he just about when Toby on the left side there's the OB wine yeah and it stops about right whereas this was so very fortunately not going to be right there great break there we all thought he literally just threw a 400 or straight out of bounds we were like no yeah but this gets frustrating yeah after a great Drive just leaving it short really good upshot to I mean it was in the rough but I mean it's bound to happen you know on this hole you know it's farther from Bradley and we kind of miss his shot he was way out he didn't know when he was supposed to be throwing so he just kind of went ahead and threw yeah but it's draw brought by the basket so good par saved there Nate these putters that smooth spin putt yes looking nice and Zach just so frustrating cuz he wasn't so many good opportunities yeah great spots and just came quite convert yeah all right hole 17 this is a par-3 342 feet there's a kind of a flex line and that's pretty much it there's a big forehand line as well if you if you got the juice but there's a lot of pine trees on this that you got to miss I mean the landing zone is pretty skinny and it's hard because if you hit this gap right here it's hard to not go too far right on that right side rough so a lot of these guys is going to be trying to go over the top of the left tree line there and hopefully getting over all of it mm-hmm Bradley's gonna show you the proper way to play it and does it pretty much gives possible yeah I'll still have about a 40 to 45 footer there but see if you can convert the bird he's trying to go right the top of the trees it's really awkward shot it's it's not easy the code is going with it big Annie flex no it's starting to face though yeah that's fading way too soon and that is stolen bill let me tell you this is looking nice Zak going way over the top oh my goodness my heels flashed the basket he did flash so I guess he did flash he almost hit yeah maybe and I was inches off that would have been a fun one to get yes Koda just left with it throwing over the top I'm trying to you ain't quite clear it but he I think he's got a pretty good line still yeah this is Bradley left Allen just a little left Booga tree great tree pear tree you just left that a little bit too high and be tapping it for a bogey yeah it's unfortunate to see with the start that coda had right hadn't really been able to do much on this back 10 that's par say by Brown Ward holes yeah it's you really got be on your a-game out here mm-hmm and sack to happen in a bird move him back to a 300 par and this is gonna move Cota to three as well brightly still still leading the card here so hang it on all right hold 18 one of the famous holes out here at harry- Macbeth infamously almost albatross last last year yeah not the same hole layout but same you know same old same punch pretty much but yeah you're mostly I just wanted to throw you can either throw a safe forehand shot and then a layup and layup and then take your birdie or you can go big and throw a big Annie flex and try to clear the OB and then have a good look for Eagle but I'd say most these guys will be playing the safe route just because there's out-of-bounds yeah that out of balance is incredibly dangerous mm-hmm either gotta go past it or left of it yep here is Zach after the lone birdie how's it going out a little it looks like it oh that almost hurt that tree that's actually have a fantastic spot yeah a really good spot it'll be a little bit further back than he wanted but I mean that's it's kind of a hybrid shot there it's it's past the safe zone but not quite as far as the big aim shot here we got Bradley I thought a flex shot and get it down there as far as you can yes nice and safe used to sit for that pine tree and it does looks like Nate's lining up just safer out as well and that's just fine that cut was going huge here or not maybe just don't sound straight up there barely clipping that tree and he's gonna have a long long up shot here I'm just gonna try and get this all the way down there gets it way up there it's turning nicely just needs to come back yeah that's alright yeah it's kind of a forehand up shot on there probably know we got Nate that's looking money so far enough though yeah just a little bit short it looks like I'll have a long look for Eagle this hole actually played the sixteenth most difficult hole in the course for a par 5 which is I mean it's a pretty open hole so that's that's understandable yeah I mean if you can just break into parts I mean it's not stay in bounds yeah I know the only dangers if you're trying to get really aggressive and and that's gonna be a super tricky out from there that was a mash yeah what's that she absolutely crushed that oh guys that from that roller that's turning really nicely but looks like it's fading out a little bit too early I wanna go behind the tree yeah and that's not the greatest spot and I don't really think there's an over-the-top shot there so I think it's too close to it I mean he might have to opt for a roller again oh no it's kind of we even got a little bit short I just like fell out of his hand yeah they drawn it up just how you're supposed to here's Bradley this is kind of a tough spot I'm sure that the Nova and that is perfect and he has ice time to go with that 400 or I can to sign with the right hand a little bit more accuracy with this yeah that was so scary earlier I could have sworn he just threw it straight out of bounds yeah Oh No Koda hair ball just a little bit left and this is gonna be for par and he killed that front nine and he's can't couldn't pull it together for this back ten you know very fresh ready I'm sure and this is gonna be for his bogey I believe yep yeah he just wants to get out of there yeah let's move him to 2-under PAR just a very surprising back 10 from Kota Nate with the good birdie there that'll move him to 5-under par he's now tied with Bradley for just a couple seconds more yes Bradley is now at 6-under par this is true yeah all right hole 19 this is a par 3 485 feet might say signature hole out here for the Nick hide Memorial Tournament you really just want to match something over this pond and I get to the get as close to the basket as possible and you want to avoid turning over too much or hiding out too soon and going OB really as long as you stay inbounds you'll leave up have a look for two or an easy three yeah you just got miss up that tree right in the middle which tends to grab a lot of discs so basically a distance competition yeah fun shot to throw for sure Zach want the big flex shot needs to fade back a little sooner and love a really long look for - yeah it's gonna be tough with that wind off that pollen - tends to pick up right here Bradley the big flex shot as well and that work Nate Nate was talking about this flag because he wanted to take that out a little bit wider left you want to go like even wider than he's probably going to yeah I guess so well didn't really take it wide there he mighty ganges' it you never know yeah but I got through the tree and got way up there yeah bout have a long look 40 50 60 maybe yeah got a gallery behind the on the basket yeah they all just finished up there round so sure it'll be huge on Sunday let's hope so you just coat a throne one way high getting it way up there to probably one of us ballista pros that he throws pretty much every drive you know it's sack leaving it just a little bit left he will be tapping in for three Kota for birdie Oh Oh looked good the entire way oh he wanted that so bad you know here's Bradley from mostly identical lie Oh almost the identical time stop stop wow that is not a fortunate roll away this is Nate from about 50 feet do it yeah great putt from Nate there that's a fun way to finish around yeah really good way to finish and with that he ties himself up with Bradley at six hundred par good fish from Nate Perkins probably still got a hefty putt let's hand no not a heavy putt for him that's true did Zach tap it in for par and it looks like could we'll be doing the same man Koda what could have been what could have been yeah and he knows
