what is up everybody welcome back to the 2019 prairie dog open in Lawton Oklahoma my name is Gabriel Bao and I'm here with Bobby Cox what's up everyone this tournament is brought to you by Heiser Baum discs Hilton Garden Inn Madigan's lawn care in landscaping the Lawton in Fort Sill Convention and Visitors Bureau Great Plains Technology Center perkins communication and the Lawton disc golf club so going into this last round you know you know our man you know you know him well Kota Hatfield coming into this round with a nine stroke cushion yeah you sitting pretty Alec Savage is nine back at 14 under par we got Emerson sitting at 13 under par and then we got Dale in balance making it on the card and some is sitting at 11 under par so getting straight into it hole one this is par 3 its 294 feet there is mostly these guys have been taking a hyzer route with the forehand you can either go sky-high zaroor a low skipping Heiser we have also seen Emerson throw a soft turning mid-range up the gut as well and then there's Cota yeah Cota tried the shot I think it was a second-round yes a round didn't quite get the height on it yeah he this time he absolutely parked it yeah and started this round the weather was absolutely perfect it was like 80 degrees barely any wind a little cloud coverage so yeah beautiful that just took away from the sun's rays it's going a big sky Heiser with the forehand Oh almost bounces it straight in and he will be dropping in the two you're seeing that happen before not like a skip in but like one of those bounce ends before sorry yes I saw more yeah you do a summer with a summer it just like came down completely Perkin perpendicular to the ground and just bounced straight in it's so gnarly that's definitely one of the more interesting cases out there on film Emerson switch up his tactic here and go with the forehead the middle you know I like it worked really nicely and he should be able to make the birdie from there yeah that looked like one of its pioneers he's been throwing all tournament yep here is Dylan also sponsored by latitude 64 was a sawed-off yeah he is gonna be about 40 feet to the right yeah I mean this hole is so easy it's like a bad shot you're still looking at birdie yeah yeah and that's just a little bit of a Miss release first part of the day this was a morning round so you got to get those out of the way I'm just inverting this hole three times in a row now yep she's gonna be doing for the car save a big shout-out math serie for hosting this tournament he always runs like the smoothest tournament us yeah yeah just makes it really easy for the players to compete up Ellen saves par he will stay at 11 yeah and Dillon has one of the most confident putts you'll see on shore yeah he he jams it in there oh yeah from any distance whether it's one foot or 80 feet that's right he's slinging that thing Alex with a nice drop in birdie there I'm gonna came to 15-under par and we are on to hole - this is a par 4 it's 578 feet the first bomber hole of the course we've seen Emerson throw a roller most of these guys are really just throwing an air distant shot trying but off as much as they can and then leave themselves with that short of an upshot as possible yeah and coated and throw the roll our second round I'm 100,000 because of the rain let's see what that's here yeah he's still going with air shot yeah this is looking nice he gets a good move on it and he's way down there yeah that's that's the super easy up shop in there we got Alex looks like he's guys brinster destroyer out he got up to flat oh yeah really anything past that Sidewalk is a crush yeah you're it's pretty much a guaranteed birdie here's Emerson wonder if he's still gonna throw that roller and I'll see why not oh yeah this one looks like it's coming down on oh my I thought was gonna hit the trunk again right but that is flying past CODIS Wow kind of got caught up in that tall grass to the left or else it would have gotten a little bit further down there but that's a super easy bird from there Dylan's got all the distance as well oh he's in roller no air shot just a little sky flecked shot and he is way down there as well looks like we got three easy up shots for our league card code of being the farthest one out yes doesn't that very often No perfectly executed there we got Alex with that Ricky Wysocki pig there on that really well I'll turn them in I mean it is right inside five feet Dalen came a little bit further left than you wanted but that's a makeable putt I think that's Emerson's harp right there it was cool that we saw a news crew out here covering the oh yeah the disco they were given the Janna made a shout out the newly redesigned course yeah always good to see those new nights courses pop up in like small towns like this figure this one for par an unfortunate car not for the miss Keough on the putt for his birdie go to move into 20 5 under par Alex moving to 16 all right hole three this is a par 5 it is 832 feet once again the fairway does play it as an island the entire way down there is a path on the left and the right that you have to stay away from ideally you want to be in the middle of the fairway here if you end up too far right you'll have that line of trees to contend with but as long as you bite off by a good amount of distance on your drive stay in bounds it's a pretty easy birdie yeah one thing we haven't really mentioned about this hole is like the first third of the fairway is quite a bit uphill you can't really tell on camera but I mean it's an absolute crush to get up there yeah and code I hit in the money spot there on the path it was a little soft skip it's gonna be in a nice position Alex doesn't like it I think you got a hide enough the words safe yeah yeah that's actually perfect great position there mrs. Emerson is that a defender in his hand or maybe a ballista proaction that's one of those in the position that Emerson's in when it comes like you know how far he is back from Kota I mean this is a whole word he absolutely needs to just try to eagle the crap out of mm-hmm go with the lower approach and yeah it's up there little prairie dog action little wink definitely winked when we come back definitely wow what a kick off that branch the little redirect to the stairway and he'll have a jump putt for Eagle I can't remember what Dylan said this this was but he throws it for like every single big like flex shots like this one say maybe a beat in blister Pro it looks like it yeah I was like the rims wide enough yeah be a blister Pro Alex and that looks like it's gone way right unfortunately and that is not gonna get back in bounds now that is in the other fairway yeah yeah rare mistake there from Malik's hitting yep his mistakes aren't really with his accuracy ever he's really pinpoint accurate when it comes to filling those shots oh yeah Emerson oh yeah that is a great Eagle opportunity for him he is just about circles edge maybe just inside the circle there's Alex stone for and fortunately got the skip I think he was worried that was gonna stick and he left with about a 60 foot putt but he's up there in the circle yep just Kota Gudrun they're a little too soft on it and Dylan good line just not quite enough on it either this is gonna be Emerson for the eagle and this is actually to go four for three yeah yeah let's go that moves him to 17 under par yeah and there's never really that many like Eagle opportunities just cuz there's so many par threes in disc golf so whenever you're faced with one you got to connect just like that yeah oh yeah never seen some no stranger to eagles that is for sure no Alex tapping in the par you will stay at 16 under par this is Dylan makes good for the birdie you'll move to 12 code it's happenin the birdie as well moving him to 2604 this is a par 3 only OB here is gonna be the path right in front of you and then the path behind the basket as well unless these guys were throwing a forehand or something nice and stable you want to just skip right in that gap between the trees on the left side and give yourself a nice look for birdie yeah and last round we saw Cotto with like the craziest ground action that was OB and somehow rolled all the way basically right under the basket and was CTP on the card it was mind-boggling it was in his reaction to it was some wizardry his reaction wall was happening was even better let's see if he can make it look a little bit easier this time I don't know I mean it was but it's still you know cotton wedding range yeah well like from angle for a second it looked like the basket was more left in the air actually ended up a lot nicer than I thought and Dylan Park in the hole yeah I tell you draw it up a little beats happening the birdie got Alex which I believe a Firebird and that's gonna be well short as well I'll be there with nota kind of did that first round as well just left it a little bit too low and was in a very similar spot which is kind of strange because four hands are definitely a strong suit just a little bit high for the - he'll be tap in for par oh that was that was some course karma right there you got that he got the good luck last round and then it really was that out and spit up this round it was like teeter taught it on them that's okay though they're here he still he still got eight strokes when they were sin yeah if it was a three-stroke game I'd be a little bit or I'm sure he'd be a little bit more upset with that but yeah I'm just gonna let that one slide yeah I mean it was a good putt dead center just spit out hole five this is a par four seven hundred five feet only danger here is gonna be the OB that lines all on the left side and then the path that lines all along the right side you also want to avoid the first two trees to the left on the right initially off the tee we saw Billy hit one of those last round so you just want to make sure to clear those and give yourself a clean look somewhere in the middle of the fairway for your second shot yeah that will be on that right side is pretty hard to reach off the drive at least so yeah if you can getting to that open area it's pretty easy birdie and that is well done it's Dylan looks like he's got that bliss to throw out again yeah and see it's got so much turn he needs to get the hide under yeah he's got to get that high yeah I'm sure she did the last like two or three times huh through it so he still got a decent amount of distance on that and he'll actually have a pretty pretty easy up shot from there that's looking really nice yeah getting nice amount of flex on that and he is way down there he's past that second tree and this looks like a similar shot from first round yeah see if I can't stay in bounds and it does not know he is out of bounds and he is playing for three from here this is about 420 foot shot yeah yeah and he didn't like it I was and now almost hit that prairie dog he's got a look but definitely not what he wanted Emerson's second shot yeah it's looking really nice you can kind of simmer down oh yeah and that is right there about 25 feet yeah I mean see if you get in this open area it's a pretty basic birdie yeah because it's just wide open yep the green came a little bit sketchy because it's all my little bit of a down slope but the grass is sticking out towards catching those things yeah definitely and doing trying to act almost almost hit me that he's got to look they're not as close as you wanted to be though kotas gonna be right there about circles edge yeah with that downslope on thing Alex wants anything to do with that no definitely not but Dillon is usually running in parts yeah Merson moves to 19 in the par and yeah six four five that's crazy oh yeah he is on a heater co2 better watch out the problem is kotas not really slowing down either no no he's keeping keeping pace except for that Eagle on five or on three yeah I mean he's he's right there I guess aim the spit out on four as well Alex with the unfortunate double hole six this is a par three 411 feet it is very downhill we've seen Emerson in Kota both go with an explorer just slight hyzer flip up to flat plane that right side nice and low and they both gotten it pretty close all three rounds yeah the four hands there too you just got to make sure you get the fade at the end that's that's really the biggest problem here with the forehand yeah hold on lat and that's why it's so hard it's just it needs to be dead straight basically the whole time in low as well yeah that one just a little bit too high and he's just outside the circle about 35 feet this is looking beautiful he makes that look so easy Park job I think between the second and in this round he's been like a total of three feet away from the basket oh yeah seriously Dan just a little bit too low on the forehand he's gonna have a long look for his to Alex yeah Alex doin let's do something a bit different kind of using the whole fairway with more of a flex forehand shot posted playing the left side with it straight to Heiser at the end yeah worked out pretty nicely yeah Dylan for his to just nicking the chain let's never send to keep the train rolling oh man he's feeling himself though he's all over it yeah I wanted that one to stick yeah gotta hit that pro side yep may have mistaken either he will immediately look down yeah that pre-released out of his hand gentlemen for the par save it was super easy birdie moving the 28th down Alex tapping out for par and Emerson you're the same thing yeah feeling like he missed an opportunity there yeah definitely he got the eagle so he can afford it he's still he's still six for six so moving on to hole 7 this is a part three is 324 feet once again this path here does play out of bounds most of these guys are gonna be going with the forehand over that path we did see Khoda take the Heiser route which is a little bit more risky because you have those low hanging branches right near the basket we have also seen Emerson go with putter on a slight turnover line as well yeah really whatever you feel comfortable with yep and that is well done from coda he's gonna be about 25 feet yeah let's say that was one of his explorers I let's throw about this range Emerson switching to a forehand for this final round yeah I think it's Pioneer and that's on a good line perfect line puts it about foot and a half from the basket yeah I say Dylan's probably a forehand dominant player right you say that I mean he can definitely throw it back in just as good but I think he's more comfortable throwing the forehand yeah a balance for sure okay Alex Savage he's gonna be about where Thomas was first around I was just about to say that you know and guess what Thomas stiff from over there you sank the putt let's see if Alex can be the same let's go oh yeah that must be the spot to land at least want to make the slow-mo real oh yeah literally the exact same size that's great here's Kota his two keeping it going moving him to 29 under par dealing with a nice birdie as well you will move to 13 and then Emerson just dropping it in going lefty yep he breaks that 20 range we are on the whole eight this is a par three 330 feet there is a man doe on the right and left side most of these guys are gonna be taking a forehand through this middle gap and just trying to put it as close as possible it's really hard to get it all the way down there but I mean the forehead gap is really all that's there yeah it's more like the more unique holes out here I'd say got mandos to deal with a lot of Obi's a lot of trees and you really have to lace your line to get rewarded with the birdie and Koda wasn't happy with that one but he's right there one of the best odds we single yeah yeah we've seen this whole give a lot of people some trouble yeah get around it get around it nice line from Emerson and he's gonna be just behind koto he's gonna be about 45 feet get up and Dylan just a little bit too low at least he's in bouncing like a decent spot to attack yeah should be able to savage the park Alex gonna flick a destroyer out there looks like it's hydron a little bit too much gonna be over there with Emerson little bit farther up though yes I'll circles edge yeah and Roy's it's only for Skoda then we're just laying up here this is Emerson to go 8 for 8 let's go yes we does that 8 for 8 for Emerson look at that wrist actually it's chasin kotas course record then shot just popping that wrist the Verity Inc it and all the power he needs yeah beautiful putt great putt from Emerson moving him to 21 under par there's Alex for his birdie just outside the circle - well yeah and if ended in the crane stance there if alex is just like 2 inches outside the circle he's taking that jump bite all day I don't feel super comfortable doing it like that I know a lot of people that like that as well yeah personally I don't really like to jump unless it's like 60 50 but some people are more comfortable with it but Cota there with a little bit of a missed release yeah just kind of soft at that one and ever since getting a stroke on him here and Alex is having a pretty slow start but I can see him really taking control of the back nine yeah definitely it seems to be the trend the last couple rounds hole nine this is a par 4 it is 531 feet one of the more tricky holes out here you have a double man dome initially off the tee and then the path as well that's surrounding this fairway here once you get past that path it is a dead zone all the way up until just past the creek so ideally you want to end up in the middle of this fairway here and leave yourself with a decent shot for your second shot and I was looking good from Emerson just got a little bit too much turn on that forehand and it kicked away right yeah I'm just going with the backhand here you need to get down a little bit oh yeah that's pushing pretty far left though yeah and he is actually out of bounds there yet found whole ones fairway there's actually some flags and the line that's lining all along the left side that you have to avoid as well Dylan has just done this one a little bit too high and he's gonna be in a tricky spot I'd think that stayed in bounds there's Alex he's only one I've seen throw that route yeah this long and it's very surprising to me because it's like right there and worked out perfect yeah that is an ideal position on this hole so Emerson when Toby this is for three so him and cut of been OB yep did don't go B oh you said ah you thought you stayed in yeah I think he stayed in okay we'll see oh no no no and mission has gone OB again and it will be shooting from the other side of the creek or this side of the creek not the other side right good shot there by Dylan from that drop zone he'll have a tap-in for forward this is Cota for three so he's pulling out that Explorer just going with the spike hyzer hoping to fight through those branches and he has done the exact same thing as Emerson who what is going on they both are gonna be taking their shots in a pretty much the exact same spot you know and they're both gonna be playing for 5 yep from there an Alex and perfect position yeah Alex and Dylan really shown you how to do that approach shot yeah he's gonna be taking the lone birdie Emerson with a nice recovery shot unfortunately still gonna be tapping in for a 6 yeah there's Koda this is looking like a nice line and that is OB again it will be again yeah he actually hit the tree and it hit it at just the right angle and came back down on edge and rolled straight back into the creek so he was putting 4/7 there and we'll be tapping in an eighth unfortunate that is ridiculous here's Emerson for a double she's gonna be doing for a for this is how you're supposed to play from that tough stone yeah but there's just so many like kind of like here's a lot of factors yeah over that Creek there's just so many branches that you can't quite see it's so easy to Nick one yep and Kota moving from 29 under par to 25 yeah and if Emerson just poured that I mean that could have made a world of difference yeah I mean he would have gotten four strokes on him there yeah but that's gonna conclude the front nine Kota Hatfield taking an unfortunate eight there to finish off the front nine moving him to 25 under par emerson keith is only six back now at 19-under par we got Alex sitting at 17 and then we got Dylan balance sitting at 13 under par so we might see a little bit of a battle here on this back nine yeah very attackable though so I don't see these guys getting too many strokes on Kota yeah you guys enjoyed make sure you eat that like and subscribe you can check us out on Instagram Twitter and Facebook and we'll see you guys for the back nine
