what is up everybody welcome back to the 2019 winters last blast in Vernon Texas at Hillcrest Country Club this is the back 11 holes because it is a 21 whole layout yep so far we have code a Hatfield leading the pack just killing it he's sitting at 6-under par Dillon balance and Matt Mize sitting at 200 par and then Andrew Newberry sitting at even getting straight into it this is hole 11 par-3 266 feet there is two lines there's a forehand route through this left gap and then there also is a big sky hyzer line as well which I believe will see Khoda lining that up oh yeah and is that Sidewalk OB behind or did you know I believe behind the basket is OB or but the sidewalk right in front of it it's in okay yeah and he kind of just burning that one into the ground yeah that that front ten a lot of cold hands a lot of missed putts but yeah these guys are warmed up yeah I think we got to see some pasta this round or this back 11 and met a little bit short there that needs to skip and it does still about about 45 40 M maybe and he's gonna have that tree to contend with as well yeah Andrew just laying up to take his three mat yeah just barely out of his range yeah and we saw Dylan straddle exactly like this but around nothing yeah and he just ended up a little bit right to the basket or right of the basket good birdie putt by coda though yeah just continuing that tear yeah he is I want to hear well it's like when he put him on an open long course he has a huge advantage over everyone yeah especially with that roller anything open and long like this with no branches or like anything to like prevent the roller yeah it's you have a huge advantage and we really haven't seen as me rollers at least I would expect honestly yeah it's the wind yeah it has to be as you can see that Texas flat where you well hiked it well I mean there's just like nothing better than rolling on super short that grass like it goes so much farther yeah now I feel like it goes a mile so ball golf courses I mean it's prime for rollers oh yeah all right hole 12 this is a par 3 344 feet this does plays an island there is the cart path on the left and then you have the fence on the right you really just want to throw it highs are out wide and high and have it spike into the basket yeah or you can throw a lower line like coda here and park it beautiful yeah super easy hole but that the Oh bees just kind of getting your head and it can add a little risk factor into it Andy yeah that's inside circle great shot as well not taking that backhand route over the fence law and just barely caught the telephone pole yeah I mean that's gonna be short either way but I mean obviously that just made it extremely short yeah I just be laying up from there yeah and doing a little bit no I almost said a little bit short but he's right there I mean technically you're right yep mat just laying up for the three here's Dylan for the bird yeah kind of like rushed that at the end yeah it's kind of fell off his hand yeah he usually at least hit something yeah II from that range yeah oh come on help help Andy out come on bass yeah the chains were having any part of that no but if cotinue go mommy we got away with one there you know new that should not start who had am sideman the only needs to start making an adjustment hitting that right side of the pole yeah Kota though just keep on keepin on yeah he is sitting at 8-under par Matt tapping in the par and Andy with an unfortunate spit out all right hole 13 this is a par 3 318 feet there is a couple lines you can throw a forehand skip shot which is a little bit more dangerous because you are throwing towards the OB green and that bunker does not play OB and there's a dead straight line and then there's also a hyzer line over the right side as well yeah you can really just do whatever you want here yeah it the I'd say the basket kind of plays far just cause like a low C link and it's kind of a pill but I mean it's very good well obviously he's only giving 18 just like that Wow I think he passed that disc every other hole yeah he's so good with it you know oh no Andy in that better hookup okay it's short of it yeah hey you sure he's just gonna have to lay up for a three yeah it's a really tough birdie hole lawlessly matt is taking that Heiser route it looks like I don't hate it this one's a little bit more dangerous because there's that tree right there and the OB fence so if you get any kind of flip up you're most likely hitting something or that you're hitting that fence yeah up OB yeah I thought Matt was gonna go up high but maybe those power lines scared on them yeah I mean if you can if you can throw hard and get a massive skip off that car path you can get up there and yeah if you take that middle route you better keep it well yeah you got to keep it real low and he will be laying up for a three most likely a little bit longer well you didn't really want an upshot on this hole but now this is longer than the one that he would want yeah good shot there he will be tapping in a par that's that that forehand ranged I tend to struggle with what he's been able arrange it's just like that the half throw went 80 to 200 yeah I know you have that Shaolin lock button yeah that's like the only thing that happened disco better hold on tight - oh yeah don't ever let it go I'm kind of getting a little softer on there yeah but he will be able to tap in a par they're dealing with it par Matt as well how close is that bathroom right there by the way mostly for the heat your height you hop in there and you actually go bathroom but your road is standing out of the wind in the fetal position it's literally like 15 degrees hotter yeah it was nice all right hole 14 this is a par 3 345 feet this is a really cool little hole you're just throwing through these this gap of trees and carrying over this water and this baskets right here you got a bass or a backstop right behind it yeah I mean as long as you throw something dead straight and hard it's it's gonna end up all right he hasn't say the only mistake that it's pretty common is hydrant a little bit too early kind of like wood coated yeah but what's again enough oh but uh and that is luckily he hit on that side so he can least have a putt for par save but yeah it's just kind of hard to get it dead straight all the way there and you can't really see the end of the water yeah from the tee pad so you're not guessing yeah yeah you strike crush it and hit that back hill mm-hmm and he got a little bit of a water skip there and we'll have a putt for his to see this is looking really nice looking really good from no but not enough he didn't quite get that skip that Andy got yeah he's didn't have enough speed on the dissin yeah great line though yeah it was and this looks like a good line to kind of pushing that right side yeah beautiful here is Matt for three from the other side of the pond and it's a little bit deep left that's gonna be circles edge maybe even a little bit outside mm-hmm Koda trying to keep the streak going but he will have to tap in for bogey yeah when I broke the news to Kota there went that it was OB he couldn't believe it yeah I mean he was really confident he made it over which he did just a reinforcement roll yeah well more so the tree just right there no yo Hut from Andy GK slow-mo beautiful and that's it I mean that's all it takes for some people get that one long putt in the round and use crews you know hopefully that happens to him he was down for a birdie trying to make up some ground on Cota nice oh yeah nice firm right down the middle yeah and he's gonna get two strokes on Koda yep Matt with her I'm fortunate double-bogey there yeah Kota wit the bogey not used to seeing that nope not in the last like eight holes yeah alright a hole 15 this is a par 3 241 feet it's really just a big spike hyzer over these trees and you're kind of hoping you don't hit one of those power lines right but I mean as long as you get something out right on an extreme hyzer line it's gonna spike and be within 40 yeah that's a blind shot from the tee pad so you always have to know what the throw here prior to it and it's very simple Andy will end up a little bit short there but still a putt DeLand putting one way out hi-yah risking those with our lawns and he will be a little bit short as well but have a putt as well yeah he's entrench Kota going back to that trusty explore it looks like throwing it on a big has a line the knot is about 40 short there yeah not quite what he wanted gonna have a long putt for his birdie this is looking good from Matt oh yeah not sure great shot from that here we have kota for the birdie trying to reignite the flames here and just pulled that right you don't see that very often from Kota looks like an ease on me here trying to maybe cut out a little bit of that wind although I think it's the downhill it had to been actually yeah because he do I think straight in the air yeah trying to get a little bit more even with the bass yeah there's doing just a little bit left again yeah if you here just like may have a minor adjustment he'd be sitting pretty up there by Koda and you hate to see that it's unfortunate miss from Matt he saved his power coat it with a part as well looks like we're having a star power yeah this whole which is very surprising I wouldn't have put money on that not at all this is one of the must two holes out here it's one of the easier ones out here for sure yeah all right hole 16 this is a par 3 wide open really the only danger is this tree on the right you want to make sure to get on the right side of it you're really just throwing a big Heiser or not gonna skip the flip up shot depending on what your distance is yeah you really just want to make sure to get it right at that tree that's really the only only thing it makes me feel a bit better that now I know that's 4/10 cuz everybody through this whole way I felt super long I was like why am I not getting it here yeah that explains it good shot there great shot from Andy oh yeah he's felt 2 feet out it was really nice as well oh yeah nice little skip up and he is right there as well looks like code is breaking out that ballista Pro again putting it really high up but it's swinging he's a little bit of help yeah well the short help you about circles edge maybe just outside the circle from there this is looking nice from Matt Oh popping the tree up that's the one thing you can't hit up just got to get around that tree he is forced to lay up for a par and that'll work here is Kota from circles edge mm-hmm yes putters coming off the past couple holes yeah see if Gillikin punching a birdie here man oh just a little bit too low he's just so close on like every putt yeah oh and that wasn't even one left side yeah I was a little bit low but that definitely should have stuck yeah it's always difficult like when you do putt it that hard it's like sometimes like you think that should stay but you should probably you know slow it down slow down a tad yeah yeah that's just punished uh those were Mach X's they'd be straight in absolutely you know one time I've got to put hard on the hose hey the only time I play or I I played on those kind of baskets we're in the that wished all tournament oh the dude oh yeah did a couple years ago and it is an Oak Park yeah I didn't like no like those baskets exist I was like there's like triple the chains that we haven't also here's our there I like them I like them do ya all right hole 17 this is a par 3 339 feet very similar to the last hole you really just want to get you can get in front of this tree on this hole actually with something a little bit straighter with a little bit of late turn but most people will be thrown to the right of the tree on a big hyzer line yeah and you're getting a good run up there he's playing a lower skip shot but ends up on top of that little hill and he'll have about a 45 50 foot downhill putt come on hook up yeah I used to come on back yeah he will be about 50 right Matt taking a similar line to Kota he just do it too high looks like yeah unless I can get there yeah no yeah he's uh right there next to uh Andy though yeah we know Dylan's got the power oh yeah that's looking great that's coming back nicely and yeah he's just up on the hill does this whole play little bit longer than it says definitely okay it definitely does then we're playing it in that yowls yeah oh just wait run from Matt yeah flashing the front of the chains there yeah cuz I feel like I didn't really see anyone like just easily Park this whole turning out yeah it seems like everyone kind of struggled on this yeah it definitely like I don't know if the footage on that is exactly right because it feels like 440 yeah at least for sure 400 yeah but it's a temp course and you know that happens you a great putt by Dylan left side and it stuck this time yep that is real nice that feels good right there yep after that really unfortunate bogey yeah I was stupid but he will put at 30 down and posing me getting a bogey here right yeah yeah that's extremely getting two strokes on Kota once again and this kind of hold to where yeah very surprising Matt should have had it or should I add it yeah yep so close all right hole 18 this is a par-3 290 feet you really can throw that dead straight putter shot or mid range or you can throw a big spike hyzer the power lines are in play once again on this hole it's pretty similar to hole 16 or 15 but the basket is visible on this hole yeah one thing I do know is if you go in that that Marsh right there on the left side I mean you're looking at bogey territory I mean yeah it's it's just hard to pitch out yeah yeah yeah which is why the spike hyzer line is a little bit more ideal oh yeah absolutely just play right at that and that's fine yeah he might have a straddle around that that tall grass wherever it is but the ED Evette and early release left into that line of trees and bushes yeah taking that spike hyzer out oh yeah perfect sure Cotto will be doing the same thing yeah he's pulling that driver so you know he's going up I thought the Explorer couldn't really tell looks like I'm I guess it is yeah don't all round here's Andy from Annie oh just an inch too huh yeah that one's got a good look here yeah it's a little early release their little left again you know good come back we go looks like we got some park drives Kota see if he can tap in his bird I'm sure you can and that's gonna put them at 8-under par yeah back to where he was before that bogey and then we have Matt going 1-under par Andy going with the upside down I love it okay I don't know if my eyes repair left me through that upside down oh right at hole 19 this is a par 3 265 feet really you just want to throw a mid-range or you can throw a forehand through this gap here you want to take that water out of play so I think the forehand is more preferred on this hole I like the forehead just because it just there's no risk of it fading into the water yeah Oh Amy have that let me something like a super tight gap or anything but it is a gap they end the hit and yeah facing it's always what I prefer to do so I go forehand yep or if your code a Hatfield you can throw a big thumb over the top and put it right next to the basket then I try to throw one of those and it just hop in the wind went nowhere he liked it barely crossed not I remember they might been different hole yeah this was looking good from doing just a little bit left but he will should be able to convert there you know it's trying to read that but he kept shaking the disk thing what's a trespass he's gonna be about 35 40 no I'm writing from it did not almost throws it in here's Andy for the bird it's kind of a sketch that down slope going towards the water there yeah this is a scary putt for Dylan that's how hard he putts yeah perfect but it lands it will go to 4-under par he's trying to creep up on Kota but I'll think cuz gonna let him do that to him nope Kota that's gonna put them at 9-under par good par save from that yeah just threw it a little bit too low had a good up shot pausing a cue par from Andy as well that will bring us to hole 20 this is a par 3 291 feet it's really just a dead straight putter mid-range shot downhill there is a bunch of guardian trees to the left and the right but there's this gap here that you can hit I did also see a couple guys take the forehand route around that left side and kind of hope for a skip downhill towards the basket but as you can see Co does not happen this yes are the eyes a little bit too early oh yeah yeah you really want to get it as straight as possible yeah I agree I like the exact same sha skoda almost yeah he'll end up behind the basket and he'll have a look from there yeah downhill putt so something pretty doable I can make the gap in there oh yeah oh yeah and he will have an easy birdie haha just walk away from this straight time he's like oh I absolutely love that just now yeah but the question was was he like turning around like that's money or turn around like ah that's turning too much no that's money cuz it was money no way it was money but at first it kind of looked like it was turning too much well that's what he better run with at least and oh but Koda half-filled just forget what you were saying look at that but yeah we'll taste a little medicine there nope okay I respect it I was talking on Gabe a couple tournaments ago on commentary yes I missed it yeah sounds like they actually looked really good the whole way absolute tiny bit too low oh yeah beautiful he's great mega sure that he stays in there mmm-hmm that's what you get when you you know walk off your drive turn around and just go to your bag yeah and Matt with a good birdie yeah Matt needed that bad mm-hmm I'll put them at 200 par and Dillon with the par alright we are on to the last hole hole 21 it is a part three 240 feet you're really just throwing a spike hyzer on this right side and then you really just want to hope that it doesn't get a rollaway right which is why you're throwing the spike hyzer line but I did see a lot of really bad rollaways on this hole yeah it happens a lot on this one for sure but yeah I just like to try to keep it against that fence as close as possible kind of come up a little bit short but you know it's in his range it's definitely a tricky shot yeah especially cuz he can't see the basket and it's really uphill at the initial start and huh yeah that was beautiful here's Andy he's thrown his a little bit lower yeah that's how I like the place whole but his just a little too low and there's weeds kind of Scott I didn't quite get skip young just looking a little wide I'm doing yeah and he's gonna have a little bit of an obstructed putt there yeah oh yeah slow it down there is a putt from Dylan I love seeing this we need him to carry that into the next round yeah if we do you know see if coda can avoid being bit big putted here justly God big put it down you did it happens but Dylan's getting another stroke back on Kota give himself oh yes oh the two people that were really getting unlucky with the baskets are starting to get some walking the putts maybe it was a little too late but how's it it had warmed up at this point seriously no that's like seriously yes it was I mean we've talked about it too much but UK was so cold you can't open your hand right whenever it's that cold yeah and that's that's putting yeah you gotta open your hand yep all right that is going to conclude the first round of the 2019 winters last blast Kota Hatfield just killing it shooting a
