what is up everybody we are back at you with some more disc-off coverage this is the 2019 winters last blast at Hillcrest Country Club in Vernon Texas my name is Gabriel Dao and I'm here with Bobby Cox how's it going everyone we've got a four man card we got Andrew Newberry Koda Hatfield Dylan balance and Maddie Mize aka fatty known by many a Patriots fan too right Patriots fan congratulations congratulations unfortunately anyways getting right into it this is hole one it's a par-5 898 feet I really just want to throw something out straight as far as you can and then you have the pretty dangerous upshot there yeah it's a road that carries all the way down the right side yeah that's really going to risk on this hole is that OB near the new basket mm-hmm and that's thrown with the trees but it has it right in front we're good yeah I guess it really just depends on what kind of upshot because I saw some guys throwing on that right side because that path is actually not OB so the I feel like the up shots a little bit less treacherous on that right side you can kind of hang it out over the road and have it swing back in bounds as opposed to throwing like a forehand or something you know I agree on your site and shot and it was just miserably cold this round yeah it was I had like five hand warmers in my pockets and yeah it was so bad like I've played in like cold weather before like 30s you know and this felt like 20 yeah I think it was like 28 degrees with like an 18 degree windchill yeah yeah it was a freezing here we got dylan sponsored by latitude you might have seen him on jonah at the 2017 dick hide yep and he kind of brought it over to that right side yeah like I said I'm not sure if you meant to do it but yeah I can't remember what the wind was on this whole yeah it's kind of old the flies die there's look like a little bit of a headland yeah so that's that's your answer pushing that okie but he stays in yeah yeah yeah and if you're on that left side he got a kind of sneak out under the branches to get like a low a knee and then yeah it's really tough yeah oh no man he looks like the head wind kind of got a hold with that one and just brought it out way right yeah that's gonna be OB we have Cota looks like that's one of his blister pros he is no stranger to our videos now we film them quite a bit no yeah yeah mascots goes you can do from there yeah I'm still a really long throw but he should have a pretty easy layup and yeah his bird dealing go and trying to get a little bit more flip but they didn't quite give it to him yeah he's still got a ways to go here we got Andy kind of uncharacteristic form but he still crush it crush it has kind of surprised yeah rushes yeah he's he's pretty salty and that just didn't get any turn whatsoever and it's fade to the wrong direction yeah he's gonna be about a hundred left yeah here is Matt after the Obi and that wasn't very great either yeah just kind of solved that one off this is only at the four yeah it's kind of a sketchy shot here yeah with that Oh be right behind the basket oh so now and he found it yeah and that's like out what I was saying it's like that right side you have a lot less risk of going OB it's a good up shot from Dylan yeah that should work though convert the birdie from there shout out Matt Siri for putting on yet again another wonderful tournament yeah always super smooth having him out there oh yeah yeah we actually played this tournament last year and yeah it was a lot of fun the course layout was a lot different though it was yeah it was a lot longer for sure yeah not nearly the tackle holes that we have here you know yeah I like I like this year's layout a lot better yeah I do nice pie by Andy yeah tapping in the birdie yeah and Dylan's kind of a ferocious putter he likes to put a lot of speed on yeah he back fire but it got to be really good yeah yeah that's gonna be a bogey from Matt yeah it's kind of a soft par-5 so taking a bogey here is really not what you want to do yeah yeah starting off with a birdie as well I've got two birdies on par and a bogey on the hole - this is a par three 343 feet downhill you do have this tree right here that is very low hanging so you really just want to throw something low and straight most of these guys will be throwing a putter or mid-range straight up the gut because I mean like I said it is downhill so it will carry that full weight down yeah and there's that golf green left of the basket that is OB right that's pretty early it's a it's about 30 feet short of the basket left yeah it is yeah but if you take though I mean it's not really aligned but it can be the over-the-top forehand shot run that trend left but it takes a lot of power to get there yeah because you guys though it's so high that's a shot back over there yep chillin looks like he's gonna be lining up a similar shot that looks great just needs to sit down yeah a little long and he's gonna be about 40 deep yeah when he got that little extra turn on it was bound to go long yeah yeah that's really all you won't want to just keep it real low on this hole and he found the little tree on the right side there he's gonna have a long up shot is Maddie gonna be landing up something similar as well yeah it looks a little high Oh got a little drop out yeah closest one of the bunch and that looked like I was going way short and it just kind of rode the hill yeah after that unfortunate tree hit and he's gonna be about 40 short there yeah I think I saw a little branch get knocked down yeah that's why he came a little short mm-hmm just behind the basket he's gonna have to settle for a bogey Dylan for the birdie yeah nothing like white put enough on it which is one thing he rarely ever does is not but enough on yeah right hand coat oh it's uh just uh left side there yeah just first longer part of the day so yeah with these baskets I mean person I'm not huge fan of them it seems like the chains are kind of kind of cheap on the on the portable baskets so if you're hearing inside its most likely not staying yeah yeah I'm not a huge fan of these baskets either but I mean this is the basket I have in the garage you know like this is my like my basket and I still can't work with it very well you save the bogey you know put them one big him and Matt switch places yeah willpower thereby doing right we are on the whole three this is a par three 298 feet it's a pretty easy hole aside from the fact that there's OB right behind the basket so really the only thing you want to look out for is going along here there is a hyzer out over the right side you couldn't take the backdoor around those trees and that's a good line and then there is a straight up the middle as well also a forehand liners also oh yeah the 14 is actually it it kind of plays pretty long I think yeah yeah oh yeah that back in route is like my the more preferred route but you are flirting with that OB more yeah Matt looks like he caught the path skip there and ended up right there next to the basket I guess there's also a roller line yeah for someone like coda who just has those dialed in is working out really well oh my gosh yeah love tap off the tree and it is half a foot away I know what cutter rolls it is a saint's Pro and he has dialed it down perfectly yeah Dylan's going with that low forehand needs to work that's it and you just started doing the same you're liking a lot more you yeah not a saint Pro I know but it's a little bit flipping but they're similar yeah I like them for just like straight shots yeah unique and I getting eight up by the grass there Oh Oh slow hi he looked good for a second look good yeah he's doing for the birdie and just a little bit right and he's gonna have about the same distance putt got a little skip off the rim and it's not what you want to see Matt showing you that back in line works out great birdie for Matt bring it back after that bogey on one yeah oh no and this is well it's kind of talking about with the hard putt that I used to do and it I stopped doing it just because of this yeah when your air balling it just goes a mile past and you know yeah it's definitely a putt that you really have to have dialed in right there's Andy for par after the short drive and this course is that par 69 so it's a lot of par fours out here 21 whole layout but I think we mentioned who didn't it yeah it is it's 21 holes so we will have a front 10 in a back 11 coated with that sick roller I see why why do you do that with the OB right behind ya like that is that shows you how confident he is a wandering blur I'm wondering if you would have thrown that if the cameras weren't on them yeah I mean he probably would you're he's coda yeah he can do that alright we were on the hole for this is a par 4 723 feet there's really nothing crazy about this whole you want to throw something straight and there is a line on the right side a high school line that makes it the up shot a little bit easier but almost these guys will be playing that left side yeah I think there's trying to break off as much distance as possible and that'll work just coat it with that bliss of pro again oh yeah that's getting a nice amount of turn and he's up there yeah I can definitely see him going roll or maybe even on a second shot he still has a ways to go in this kind of hole yeah I mean that mustache is just perfect yeah that caught up there quite a bit yeah he launched that yeah that trees on that trees a good distance away yeah it's probably about solid 400 I say I like that yeah I say that's kind of the spot the land honestly mm-hmm Dylan just got more turn out of that than he wanted it looked like but he has a line here it's got to be sneaky shown that really nicely oh yeah yeah that's perfect beautiful shot we have Matt a little bit short a lot of little bit a little bit left he'll have a long putt for birdie I actually played with Matt last year at Vernon really same tournament yeah yeah that's uh that's what we're talking of so much okay yeah you know thought he was just a really friendly guy and you guys just got kicked it off huh no yeah played with him last year he actually started playing open he told me the tournament after last year's burn oh wow so he's about about a year in the open right yeah yeah yeah I ended up I think he said he ended up cashing in that tournament right after he and so no going back after that nope Andrew with a really nice turnover shot yeah really not really yeah and those players that don't really throw the four hands they just dominate the back end any shots yeah that's it's such a cool shot to have in your bag well it's like to be like just ridiculously confident right with that shot like these guys are yeah I mean if you see a shot that's going left right and you have a forehand in your arsenal I mean why not throw it you know but so you don't really get the chance to develop that back into rubber unless you just really work on it you know yeah Andy was a really good birdie it's gonna be mat for par like that were frozen person yeah he's just taking his time I had worked out just coat afford the part as well he will stay at 2-under par and Dylan first bird of the day or no second bird second part of the day oh yeah that's that's that soft par-5 on one it's it's a four definitely feels like a like a par yeah all right we are on the hole 5 this is a par 3 300 feet there's really just one line hyzer line with fairway driver a mid-range yeah I mean it's olds pretty self-explanatory if that OB on the Left kind of runs down by the basket they got worried about but not too difficult they just look sawed off looks like it's hydronaut too much that barely stayed inbounds on that left side yeah he like slightly dug in when I first hit the ground to kind of slow it down this is looking much better oh yeah so well short though yeah he's about 30 short there is that lice on the sidewalk or no I mean probably hey guys I just remember zoom in on the camera and I like couldn't wait to get my hand back well I think it's funny how we came to determinate like super excited about you know getting away nice wet weather and it was supposed to be seventy like four degrees or something like that and ended up being freezing yeah I hope that weather person got fired Bobby actually brought shorts I didn't know you didn't wear but it's just that just shows you what we were expecting we actually saw a crazy dude out here playing in shorts shout-out to you if you're watching this yeah that's yeah no impressive but that's very impressive Jim Oh little right there he's an indie for the thuria or no he said bounce I don't know how but he did I just can little ou can capitalize on it here's Maddie for the bird just a little bit high it's so hard to cut in this cold weather though like it's like I don't want to make excuses for him but it is so hard to I mean it's just frozen yeah look cuz like you know how like you close and open your hand and it like literally goes in slow motion oh yeah that's like 18 degrees yeah you're so like yeah you gotta like adjust your release point according to the pace of your hand opening got shove the disc in there yeah just go in hey met with it unfortunate par after a great Drive hole six this is a par three 320 feet there's really only one line you take a hyzer line or like a low Heiser skip shot these bushes and this tree on the left side kind of take the forehand out of place oh yeah hi everyone watch but you'll most likely be seeing ya and you don't want to be putting from in those bushes let me tell you that right now no it's it's pretty thick in there yeah it's not fun actually was in those bushes last year on the hole where you don't over it remember that mm-hmm and I had to put him in there and it was basically impossible yeah yeah that hole was a lot harder than this hole yeah yeah energy looks like maybe I'm better as you can tell a warrant all that stands pretty faded yeah that's a good shot me about 25 30 short we have met lining up the hyzer line as well yeah yeah really a shot format just Kota looks like that that Explorer leg likes to throw you know put this on a nice line that's why he likes to throw it yep I'll be able to tap in the bird from there here we have Andrew float the birdie as well just a little bit too high he's still adjusting to the cold yeah don't count change it up going with a little straddle there yeah yeah he's missing right maybe that was like a wave him compensating yeah right something yeah I do the same thing I'll try to make some in round just let me yeah they don't work but I try yeah cuz you know we got one chance to do it and it's like well you know that didn't go in yeah and that was a great birdie from Matt and then coda as well alrighty we are on two whole seven this is a par four 640 feet you really just want to throw something over stable towards this tree on the right and have it land in the middle here because this whole fairway plays is an island as you can see there's a path on the left and a path on the right and really on the upshot you just want to be wary of going too far because that path does curve around behind the basket but yeah not too uh not too crazy for par for yes long why do be as well as in say you know also real quick we do have another giveaway for you guys at the end of this video so be sure to check that out yeah LAN and I helped us out with it very exciting stuff yep it's a it's another new Signature Series disc we won't tell you but just be looking out for it yeah and that's looking pretty good for Matt nice and safe yep that's why you want yeah just Kota and up that blister pro turn it up pretty high yeah that's fine though and yeah I'd rather be on the right side of this fairway than the left yeah absolutely yeah larger trees on the left side mm-hmm yeah I think this hole is one of the few holes out here where you can really see a big number yeah because if you go out of bounds like Andy has just done yeah you know about that OB I do I do although hit it less walls talk about whenever we played it in between oh yeah but you had the wrong disc you we only brought a couple discs yes really there's a blistering headwind and I was throwing a strike into it and yeah it went a mile though hit with a mile but did not come back it just was a distance shot yeah just turned over and just a road it happens to the best of us this is looking really nice from Dylan Oh didn't quite put enough on it he's gonna be about 40 short yeah but that's definitely in his range we know that and Matt try not to break his finger here on that tree the shots are so sketchy they're the worst like should I follow through all the way my answer is always no Maya is on going the safest shot balls yeah I'm usually like switching to a forehand roller something weird all right they don't have to follow through and break my hand this is a perfect trap from coach dude he is so good with those explorers it it's crazy he can throw any shot with them I swear here's Andy get there and that's fine Matt Matt for three here be tapping in for his poorer yep here is Dillon for a birdie oh man so close just a tad bit too high I put was a little bit less laser-like then yes almost the grounds look more floaty I was literally gonna say floaty that's crazy yeah yep and I'm not sure what Cotto putts with I mean it seems like he switches quite a bit but he definitely likes the overstable putter yeah I remember wasn't laying with him at the lodge she was coming with the caltrops but I don't think he's coming with those anymore we go to untap in the park looks like we got two guys following suit kotas gonna hold his lead yeah an angel needs to get some birdies yes he does get Koda and Dillon or running yep and the double bogey from Andy after the OB yeah that's that's that's what you see on that hole with an out of bounds yeah oh right we are on the hole eight this is a par three 474 feet it is the rock hole my favorite hole out here I'm pretty sure you're not throwing a rock but the basket is on top of a rock with some like ratchet straps and just like I like it a lot tying it down to keep the wind from blowing it over but it is a very down hill you really just want to throw a straight shot downhill towards the basket and get as far down there as possible yeah this is looking a little bit left from Kota and short yeah it's tricky to get like the perfect angle on it you know I get to ride right a little bit without that much fades yeah ideally you want to have it fading right underneath that tree or even behind as I do yeah yeah doing Nath's turned over that's too much turn on that that's definitely not what he wanted but upshots not very dangerous on that cell should be able to salvage a three from there Matt taking that gap around that right tree coming out of it he's gonna skip up and he'll be about pin-high probably fifty right lay up range yeah lay up range for sure yeah if you're not within like 25 on your drive and your yo crazy for we have Andy throwing a roller I mean it's the rock my god and he's right there that was beautiful looks like we might have the only two of the bunch and that looks a little short yes not as closer you want to be on that bass no you want to like be bumping into that raw yeah that's what he wanted I'm like right exactly what code is doing yeah he wasn't even risking that no Matt here I mean it's just not worth running that but you can't wait tellin well I hear cousin the Leafs or anything but the wind is pretty hefty dealing just a little bit am side there and splashed out won't get that deuce beautiful yeah great birdie from Andy there you can get these going and make a little comeback here yeah even this is a scary but yeah it's taking as tough because it like it like forces you to go high up on the chains and yeah we all know don't high on chains it's not where you want to go yeah because like you you absolutely do not want to look like an idiot and hit that cage so you're like yeah let's play a little bit higher than I should yeah then ends up an inch under the band dealin that's unfortunate bogey there he's now tied with Matt co2 holding the lead at four down all right whole nine this is a par-3 335 feet it is very uphill there is a hyzer line around the right side tree a big sky hyzer line but the majority of players will be throwing a forehand or a straight fairway driver shot up the hill and try and get as close to the basket as you can yeah that Heiser rally it takes a lot of power to get up there mm-hmm and he put a really nice move on that one and he's gonna be about circles edge from there just gotta go under or no no okay not this time but he isn't that the perfect turn over shelf that explore yeah and he's going to be about the same distance as Andy yeah that's taken that wide were out just needs to get a little more move and yeah and that's the thing it's not beyond Heiser the whole way to get them out hurry and get to the basket yeah you really have to throw it pretty high because that there's a green on the right side that plays OB and it's it kinda is on a like extra little uphill and so you can find that hill and it just stops the disc from moving yeah it takes a crush for sure don't gonna be just laying up in there yeah definitely should be able to convert the par from their mat just laying up code I can go to five down here oh yeah absolutely he can yep and he's now three ahead of Dylan and Matt great putt by Andy yeah it was closer than I thought yeah yeah great drive yeah he was inside the circle there and it's really important get this birdie right before you you know about to go on a monster hole that yeah yeah a lot of things gonna happen on this honestly even though it's like wide open it's still just crush crush crush crush crush yep make a putt speaking of here we are it's Holt in a par-5 1134 feet the driving idol the driving range hole yeah obviously you get to test out your distance here basically you just want to throw a bomb and another bomb and then another bomb and then another bomb yeah and then hopefully tapping your four yeah that yeah there's a couple trees in the further light down closer to the basket off the off the drive you're really just trying to match something yeah yeah there's really nothing that dangerous about this hole aside from those bushes on the left and those trees in the middle yeah and Koda wanted a lot more turning out of that obviously I just analyzed with the whole white and get max distance or anything big all run out from Andy he's throwing that really high yeah that's just kind of floating up there it's not gonna get that much distance either you know he'll be over by Cota and you can see that flag that got a right-to-left wind here so that's why you're seeing all these highs are a little bit early mat thrown a nice shot he'll be right up there with Cota and Andy a ballista Pro from Dylan yeah and over coach that yep he's gonna be pretty short there get up yeah do that really low but got a good amount of distance ah yeah those blessed pros will skip a mile mm-hmm I think they're like 13 speed right yeah it's a pretty big pretty big wide rim yeah ain't met that's a good shot as well I see if Dakota can make an adjustment from that tee shot yeah just kind of just don't want a slight hyzer you know I mean it's really just layup layup hey really oh not really this holes are really just about distance and accuracy we got our roller I guess that's all holes really well except for the distance part but that's like oh yeah bother with some dance moves they're real a lot of my feet you guys didn't know that here's Matt this was looking pretty nice fading out a little early but he'll be uh see about pin-high they're not quite almost pin-high I will have about a 70-footer Kota how he's breaking out the roller rolling that st.
