Welcome back everybody to the 2026 Bottle Lake Open. We're here in Christ Church, New Zealand. This is the final round in the back nine part of the Tour Down Under brought to you by Gothro and MVP Disports. I'm Sarah Hokum here with Chandler Chowder Ray. >> We're craving Chowder and Choking them. Choke, sorry. Choke them. Choke them. [laughter] >> Yeah, we we haven't figured out our commentary name year long for that finale. [music] >> Uh which is in Tuscaloosa, I think. >> Tuscaloosa. >> Yeah, >> getting Luca. Here's our leaderboard. Uh Sophia is in the a lead by one over me. And then Taylor and Allison are [music] a few behind. And there's Chowder on the second card making waves. >> Making bogeies >> on to hole 10. It's a par three, 253 ft. [music] It's a sidearm. If you got one, it's time to use it. One of the easiest holes on the course. There's not OB anywhere. There's no mandos. There's just some trees. Throw the sidearm on a hiser or a turnover. Try to give yourself a short putt. I'm going to throw a >> I'm Sarah Hok. I'm going to throw a crave. >> And Towder's going to mock me now. That's fine. Watch this. >> I thought I could trick them into you. >> You need a little more sultry in your voice. >> Yeah, I need to sound like a radio host. 40-year-old smoker or something. >> Whoa. [laughter] >> Your voice is pretty clear on the mic. >> Oh, okay. Well, thanks. Taylor up next >> with a zone. >> She's been throwing this really well. Oh, gets a little skip, a little bit more distance, and that's an ace. Solid shot. Sophia also going with that sidearm. She's gotten this every day with this with this shot. A little smack. Really release makes the upshot trouble. Allison, she's a softball player. It's kind of where she gets her sidearm. She's a pitcher for New Zealand. She's actually had to choose to do Frisbee over softball a couple of times >> and she's been choosing Frisbee and I can see why. It's parked recovery shot here for Sophia. Pretty good angle. It's a good scramble. It's tough spot to get out of what she can to keep herself in it. >> Yeah, I mean birdie >> 20 ft. Little high coming in, >> but ties it up. >> It Yeah. Well, well, yeah, that's true. I guess she doesn't have the putt to get the birdie at this point. So, little clean up here from S and it falls out the right. Oh, >> that'll cost her. >> Good thing I didn't say she's hanging on like I was about to. >> Well, >> but >> we're we're just I guess tap out the the bogey. Birdiey's around for the rest of the card, though. >> And you got this one today, huh? >> I did. This is my first birdie. I just bogeied everything else. [laughter] >> And on to hole 11. 308t par three. will be on the left side in those thorn bushes and it comes up a little bit quick on you up on this left side near the basket as well. So you really want to get your shot turning over or throw the forehand line but not end up on the right side either cuz that is also [music] tree jail. I'm going to go with my crave. I think that was pretty good. I think they almost bought it. >> No, >> I'm going to hit a tree with my crave. [laughter] I got tra I got saved by the second tree. It was kicking to the blackberry bushes to be gone forever. Taylor's going with her Luna. Going to get on a little turnover. So, turned a little bit too much. Got a kick off into the right, but that should be far enough up there to have some gaps. Allison's been throwing this one really well. She gets another look. She's in the circle. [applause] She got this one the first day as well. Sophia switches her play. She was throwing her J here. The sidearm works out most of the way there. >> Just didn't quite hit the gap. Got to pick a side on that one. >> I'm about 230 to the pin here. This is a pyro. It's kind of a tight line. Makes it work. >> Yeah. 15 ft left to save the par. >> Taylor's got an awkward stance here. for this approach. >> Yeah, you called it. There are not very many gaps on that right side. >> Oh, she's not as far up there as I thought she was. >> Oh, man. Trouble. Not very far advanced now. >> It really is jail over there. Not too much you can really do about that. But what she did, just kind of attempt and get it on your second try if you can. Sophia's got a little bit more of an open look here. our kick. Great up. I think that's a gator she's throwing there. >> I have no idea. >> It looks like a looks like a gator to me. I'm going to have to check with her. Allison with a long look just inside the circle for birdie. >> It's looking better. >> Yeah, it's definitely on target. um laterally just get that height down. It's one thing. It's not If it's not something, it's something else when it comes to putting. >> Yeah, you can see it's kind of the feel is coming back to her after a little slip up. And Sarah, you're in there for the par. >> I'm stoked. I got lucky there that that second tree kicked me back in bounds. >> Like I said, the trees love you. >> I did give that tree a little a little tap. Little thank you. >> Deserves a little smooch. >> I didn't I didn't go that far, Chowder. It deserved it. >> There are children here. [laughter] >> She the child was on my card. >> A Wadsworth. Got to love Sarah Wodsworth. >> She's the best. Great attitude and great skill, too. >> And she's funny, too. We were just cackling all day. >> In for the par from Sophia and Allison. Also on to hole 12. 12. It's a par three, only 236 ft, but this gap [music] is tiny, 1 m wide or so, and only a little bit more [music] width uh through the rest of the fairway. There is some OB on the left that can kind of come into play, but this is a short hole that plays much harder than it seems like it might. But everybody's been hitting the gap. I mean, every time I've played this hole, everyone on my card has hit the gap perfectly, >> which I did not expect that at all. This is a relay. Don't quite get the turn I'm looking for, but it hits the gap and that's all I care about at this point. There's a look. Little early release from Allison on that one. >> That was an FD going >> pretty trouble. >> Pretty fast disc. This is a J. Sophia takes the extreme opposite. Lands in a similar spot. It really there's not too much you can do over there. >> Challenger here for Taylor. >> And we ate our words on that one. Did we jinx them? >> No, cuz it already happened. >> Well, I feel bad now. >> Yeah, it was tough to watch actually cuz this is I mean it's when you're off the fairway on this hole, it's jail. You don't really want to be bogey a 230 foot hole, but it it comes up on you. This one might be one of the easiest holes to bogey. >> She gets that out there pretty good. >> Yeah, she has a look to save the par. Taylor's just teeing off from the short teapad. >> And that is her third throw. >> Just another bad kick. Third throw for Allison as well. Doesn't quite get the distance that she's hoping for on that, but she's got a long look. Taylor's got this little skinny gap. >> Yeah. Which one are you looking at? Oh, the right. [laughter] >> Whoa. Not that's not the one I was looking at. >> Yeah, this uh this particular group of shots was really regrettable for most of most of the players here. >> Oh, she's back. She's back. >> What a bust. >> That's from the fairway. >> That was like a bogey save. >> Look at that. >> Might have been inside circle, too, but it >> barely. >> Yeah. Perfect. center cut. Great save from Tweety. >> Amazing. It's >> her dad there on the bag. >> He looks proud. >> Yeah, that's what he looked like when he fed us white bait for dinner. [laughter] >> I thought I had that one. Yeah, the white bait. That was a It was interesting. >> Really special thing to try to eat when you're >> a local delicacy here in New Zealand. >> When your food looks back at you. >> It was staring It was staring at us. >> Many eyes. >> Lots of them. >> Sophia with a look to >> Oh, splash. >> No. >> She was going to save the par with that great combination of recovery shots, but that's like the third one. Hole three. Hole. Oh, just a couple. Uh, hole 10. And now here, hole 12. >> Memory of a goldfish. >> That was three holes. >> Oh, it was the forehand hole. >> Yeah, three holes. She's just kind of spit to the right. Just barely. >> Strong size, not so strong on these helixes. >> No, I've learned that lesson the hard way a few times. >> They really like the center, >> which isn't a bad thing. So Sophia drops back one shot and we're on to hole 13. >> And [music] this one we've got a 282 ft par three. I feel like this one plays a little bit longer than 282 ft for sure. Um [music] I feel like you can a full power shot and land up short, but you do want to land short and just get a slide down the hill because you've got the OB right behind the basket. Yeah, the gap's really tight. I actually changed my position. I decided to throw a relay on a hiser flip instead of a cray flat because that gap is really tight and looked extremely small today. So, not a shot to the pin. Uh but I'm trying to make the gap and >> it's out there. Be happy with the par on this hole any day. >> Yeah, only let's see. Sophia got this the last two days in a row and she's the only one. though. And >> Allison with her instinct just straight down the fairway. Doesn't quite get the distance on it, but it's it's a look. >> I mean, side. It might be a little bit safer run maybe, but >> maybe. Yeah, we'll see if she takes a take a takes a look at it. Sophia with a J also out to the left. Center cut, but doesn't quite get the flip that it normally does for her. >> Still another long look. If she wants to try to make something up here would be a time to do it. Taylor with a zone just pierce the gap and not a ton of fade. Oh, it stops just short. I was wondering if that was going to make I wondered how that if it because it almost looked like it hit the stake from our side, but it was perfectly short. A little range up shot for me. >> Allison's just going with the layup there. >> Sophia with a decision here. Try to make this putt. This is a good range for her. 50 ft or so. She's trying to get the strokes. Doesn't quite connect on it. Taylor with a chance for birdie here. She missed this one in the first round. Oh, gets it today. >> [snorts] >> Solid bird. A great bounce back from the last couple holes and in for the pars. Yeah, Taylor was the only birdie in the field today. progress. It's momentum made visible. A constant push towards perfection. Moment by moment, frame by frame, we're building towards something bigger. The time lapse was my first 12speed driver. But I knew it could be better. So, we went back to the lab, tweaked the feel, the flight, and now it's what it was always meant to be. That's progress. Introducing the retoolled time lapse from the Simon [music] line. No limits. This is hole 13. It's a par 3, 312 ft. It's a sidearm if you've got it. It also can shape up for a backhand turnover. [music] There is OB about 20 ft behind the basket as you come up and over this hill. This isable room, right? Oh, wow. 20 feet. Jeez. >> Wow. He gets 20 feet behind the basket. >> Taylor with the NOS. Little bit to the left. >> Yeah, those branches didn't help. >> They never do. >> Maybe sometimes. Maybe. Actually rarely. This is a photon. Good shape. >> Yeah. Get the push down the hill a little bit instead of I hit a tree yesterday. It's a DD1. >> Little bit low. She was going for that boot scoot and birdie play. Didn't get up there enough. >> Sophia with the J. Little misrelease. She We'll have some approach shots here to try to save this par for most of the card. It's a Firebird. Very nice. She's got another look for a save. Allison with the tactic signature approach. Gets it up there. Taylor's going for a putt approach. >> She's jump putting from 500 feet away. >> Yeah. What the heck? [laughter] [gasps] >> I got a long look. >> Oh my gosh. Sarah. >> I knew I was going to I told you I knew I was going to see you make one of those this weekend. >> I was just trying to put it up there and close. That is insane. >> Sometimes it works. My jaw hit the floor when that went in. >> My jaw hit the floor when that went in. I I really did not expect you to make it. >> Don't tell anybody I said that. >> Surprise. >> So, such a good run to try to save the par. >> Allison also with a par save. Look here. Yeah, >> great mental recovery here from Allison. Her putt is looking right back on target. A >> man, she has such a fast approach, but it also really works for her, too. I think it helps her not like kind of get into her head a little bit about her putt. She just kind of steps up and throws it, >> but then I also wonder if that quick that quickness of her routine sometimes hurts her. Yeah, there's got to be a fine line in there somewhere. And on [music] to hole 15. This is where some stroke swings could happen as we've seen some big numbers on this hole. We've got a tight gap through a tunnel coming into this landing zone here. And then another tight gap approaching the basket. [music] Very guarded green. Um this one we could see some swings happen here. And I'll see how you guys fight through this. >> Yeah, we've seen some snowmen on this one. >> Yeah, I'm going to go with a relay on a flip up. I haven't really gotten through this one clean yet. >> I prayed to >> then how I had to pray for that last little bit. >> Love Sarah Hok. >> I love them back. >> Allison up next. This is her FD >> center cut. That's looking good. >> Yeah, great shot from her. She ears to kick back into the middle. >> There we go. They like this lead card. She got an early release yesterday that left her in trouble. So today, that's a great correction. Is she trying to eagle this? She's got something fast in her hand. I think it's a buzz. >> That looks a lot faster than a buzz. >> You might be right. >> I think she was running it. >> Taylor, if you could get into the comments and tell us how wrong we are, that would be great. >> It's an eagle L signature disc. >> Catches the tree. Common mistake on this hole. She finds a way out. Yeah. Choosing just this hiser, you know, she's just trying to hit a gap. It's so much easier to hit a gap with a hiser. And, you know, you're not really worried about where it's really going to end up as long as you're getting progress up the fairway. Allison finds a lane, gets herself a putt from in the trees, but she might have a look. >> I'm going to throw over my leg with a matrix cuz I don't have a backhand that can hit that gap. >> What a stance. >> Yeah, you know, little yoga. And it works out. There's a look there for another birdie. And here is the lane Taylor's trying to throw through. It's tiny. >> Oh, and she hits it. >> Beautiful. >> Wow. >> Right outside the circle there. >> Another difficult shot here for Sophia. It's a tiny gap. She's trying to get it close. She got a putter in her hand. I think that's her colt. Man, she's working on these scrambles. Allison's got an interesting look at this, but it's definitely makeable. >> At least you can see the basket. Wow. Up and over. >> Yeah. Oh, what a bid. Look >> like she might even caught the cage a bit. >> She gave it a good effort. This one is really well lined up. I'm really actually stoked that this is the putt I have. >> Nice layup. >> Nice layup. [laughter] You said it yourself. >> Yeah, it was not great. >> Beat me to it. Oh, solid bid from Tay. Sophia looking to save her par here. She's trying to keep herself in it. There's a lot that can happen in these finishing holes. So, it's good to be able to save that from the T-shot. Taylor's in par. and Allison as well. >> Yeah, it'll be a barbecue on one of the hardest holes on the course. >> Lame frame, but that's that's good for this hole. >> This hole, it does kind of feel like a birdie. I mean, you and Ally and what Sofa the only ones that got it the whole tournament. On to hole 16. It's a par three. 300 ft through this gap. There's a double mando and there's Obie right behind. It is a a tight gap [music] and it's tough to hit that initial shot. I haven't seen a lot of birdies on this, but we have seen Taylor get it. I still think it's been in my wheelhouse, so I really feel like I can get it today. Was it crave? It is a crave. Yeah. [laughter] Surprise, surprise. Well, overconfidence maybe. [laughter] >> I I guess >> but not a bad result. Scrambble for sure. >> There were at least two things right about that shot. >> What was that? >> The angle and the trajectory. Allison is hits the right side and she does not miss miss Amanda. She is just left side in trouble. See if Taylor can hit this >> the tree. >> The Yes, the tree. All right, Sophia. >> It's okay, Taylor. We've all done it. >> She's got a J. Stable mid. This is a great idea since Can someone hit the gap? >> No. >> Well, she hit a gap. >> So, we're all in Scramble Town. >> This hole played hard for us, too. >> It really I don't know what's going on with this hole. It It's >> glad to know it wasn't only us. >> The fifth hardest hole today, but the second hardest yesterday. I don't know if we just underestimate this hole or what. >> Smooth up. Maybe it kind of looks easy from the tea. Like, yeah, let me just throw this disc straight and then really just goes anywhere. But >> yeah, tricky. This is an electron matrix. Obie, no. It's safe. [laughter] >> I just It >> was close. It was pushing it. >> I try to think the worst sometimes just and then I'm excited if it's not that. >> That's kind of I do that sometimes, too. Makes you a little bit happy when you come to find out it's the better option. >> Allison with no gap finds a way. >> Wow. >> What a shot. A tactic. Very tactical. >> Okay. Sophia also is laughing about how that Allison hit the note non-gap. >> Is she going for the same one? >> I I must assume >> giving her ideas. >> Oh, she does it. >> That's a great shot from >> Where did it go? >> It's right up there. She got a putt. >> Copycat. Well, apparently it was closer than yours. We're seeing you go first. >> Yeah. >> First move. >> 25 ft. >> Caged it. go at it. >> I kind of liked it out of my hand, but I guess >> I forgot about the uphill. >> Yeah, little bit of a miscalculation. >> I forgot to carry the two recovery shot here for Taylor. It's a little fast on the swing. Maybe some PTSD from the past couple. >> Mhm. It happens. It's hard to forget some of that. Sophia with a chance to get a stroke back. Nailed it. That was a pretty good scramble from there. Allison in for the par as well and two bogeies. Yeah. No, no birdies in the field either yesterday or today on this hole. In fact, Taylor's the only one that got that hole. [music] Period. And Sophia's going to take that stroke with her into hole 17, the par three, 367 ft. This one is a bomber hole. Uh, veryable for Sophia. She has a chance to take another stroke here. [music] Um, we kind of want to make it out of this initial gap. It's a little bit tricky with the wind today. This is a DD3 from Allison. Nice shape on that. I'll be approaching from just outside circle two. >> Sophia's going with her Thundy, I believe. Just going to rip it. >> Uses all the room on the right. I mean, is that just a pureheiser? She just throws it. >> Oh, yeah. Just rip it. >> 380 ft on a pureiser. >> Have been there, but you you kind of need to get in front of those to have a putt at it. We'll see what she's what she's got up there. I think she's got a window >> the distance. >> I'm going with my gloral. >> It's a nice turn on that. And outside the circle. Outside circle two for an approach. Taylor going with her buzz. It's just a mid, folks. Do you hear that bird? >> Yeah, I like that. I was I like that. >> Wow. I don't know what those a government spy >> that was. Yes. >> I don't know. >> They got some robotic birds. >> Taylor right up there for a putt. Right in similar position to Sophia. Alison's just going to sneak it up there, too. >> Nothing much to do from there. >> Sophia >> in the tree. >> Obstructed. >> She is one with the tree. And that was rude. Taylor has a little bit bigger window. And she gets it. >> Catch the birdie. The only birdie we've seen on this hole the entire tournament. Sophia's still kind of caught up in there. Gets the par. Could have used the birdie to go into that final hole, but holy teen's a doozy though. You never know what's going to happen. Especially with the wind today, there's a lot that could go down. Lots of out- of- bounds. >> Speaking of out of bounds, you're out of bounds until about here and get onto this large island green. And if you can get to here, you can get a look at the birdie. But otherwise, you're going to lay up to that line of flags and then approach the pin from [music] there. I don't have a look at birdie on this hole. I have to play this for par. And it's not easy off the tea for a sidearm. So, this is a chance for Sophia to grab a stroke or three. >> A three-stroke swing is very probable on this hole. >> Wow. >> Taylor's way out there. >> Yeah, just an open look. >> I'm hoping to get there on my second. >> Yeah, right. >> Allison with a DD3. Eclipse the trees ends up safe. >> Little bit of headwind is kind of lifting that Sophia going destroyer or halo destroyer. Looking for that big distance here. Make a correction and get that uh inside enough. And she's there looking at the birdie. >> What are you What are you thinking? >> I'm thinking I better get this in bounds because it's not really a sidearm hole. So, I'm trying to just make sure I push it left far enough that the wind doesn't lift it. And so, I go overstable photon. I got to keep it under these branches because those will kick me OB as well. Yeah, you really played it safe on that one. You really wanted to make sure that it was up in there. I mean, anywhere you land in the fairway is honestly good for a layup. You can kind of sneak it up to those flags from just about anywhere. So, >> yeah, I kind of left myself a tough tough one, but we'll see. >> It's doable, but tactic for Allison. Just beautiful turn. She throws that thing so well. I love watching it. >> I want to watch her throw it in again. >> Right. If you guys missed that in the second round, she put it in on the on this hole. I can't decide to go left or right. This is But I'm gonna go left with a pyro through this gap. >> I'm sure in these moments there's tons of thinking going on. Just trying to hit that spot. >> Yeah, >> very well done. >> She doesn't let the nerves affect her. >> Well, they're in there. >> They're definitely [laughter] there. >> Sophia to approach the green. She needs to get this up there for a chance. And oh, she doesn't quite get the scoot. Just short. Taylor rips on her zone. Gets that well in just in bounds with a look for birdie. She rubs it in with the enough scoop. >> Right. >> Allison's kind of clipping those trees again, but makes it up onto the island nicely. >> She also has a putt. That's for par. >> She had a flashback there. You can tell. >> Yeah. Trauma. And Sarah needs to make this island. Kind of put a nail in the coffin here. Or it could or it could go a different way. >> This is a pyro. I'm looking at about 230. And no hesitation on that one. And it's landed. I'm stoked that that is in bounds. >> I'm sure that felt good. >> Yeah. I actually didn't know where I was at, though. I had no idea I had a three-stroke lead right now. >> Well, that might have been a good thing before approaching the screen. This is a scary one. >> Yeah, I I don't ever really want to know what the score is. It doesn't seem to help. >> Taylor for birdie just hits the cage on that one. >> Allison for par. Use that one a little bit low as well. >> Yeah, just nerves. I think just all everybody's watching. I think this matters because I have no idea where I'm at. [laughter] >> I think I guess that's probably when you should check the scores. >> Yeah, but if it does matter then, >> well, I guess if you make it anyway, >> it's only >> Leave it up to fate. >> It was only 15 ft. I'm gonna do my game and then if that works out to be the win, then um I'm stoked. If not, then I did my best. >> Yeah, it's good battle from Sophia. She started off really hot and but that's going to do it. Just put a nail in the coffin right there. >> Sophia's just in for the bogey. And just like that, four down under has concluded and Sarah Hokum is the champion, MVP's own. All right, ladies and gentlemen, it is my great pleasure to introduce to you your FBO champion here at the 2026 MVP Discs Bottle Lake Open on the final event of a great 2026 season of the MVP Discs to under. It's MVP's very own Sarah Hul. [cheering] >> Congratulations. Well done. >> Thank you. >> Awesome. >> That's awesome, >> Sarah. What a month we've had here down under in New Zealand. You played each and every event of the season so far. We started in the North Island, three great events, a week off last week down south in the Queenstown region and now here in Christ Church at the end of an awesome trip. You cap it off with a win. Talk us through what's been an awesome month and how you're feeling right now as this trip comes to a conclusion. >> Oh man, this is a trip of a lifetime for me. Um, not only is New Zealand just a beautiful place, but the people are equally beautiful and y'all have welcomed me so much. I might move here. [laughter] Um, but yeah, these tournaments y'all are putting together is a lot of fun for us to come in our off season and enjoy the warm weather and the beauty. And man, this week has been, you know, another grind out here on this on this course. And, uh, I'm just really, really thankful to have come away victorious despite um, it was wonderful to play with some of the locals, Allison, Haley, Sarah. Um, y'all have a lot of f potential in your future. I can't wait to watch you all continue to grow as players. >> Yeah, it's been an awesome to see our Kiwi Contingent rise through the top. We had six Kiwi players across Mo and F League Card this weekend, which is a tour down under record for Kiwi Contingent and awesome to play alongside. You played alongside Kiwis all season long and been hosted by some great Kiwis as well here. Talk us through what it's been like to play in front of Kiwi fans over the past month. Oh man, it's just been so welcoming, you know. Um, you know, things I I try not to ask for too much when I'm out there, you know, getting hosted and getting carted around and everybody's just been so uh just wonderful to do that for us and without, you know, asking for anything in return. And it's just really really amazing that y'all are so welcoming and giving and just a great great people. I'm just really um excited to just continue to be around y'all for another week and a half or so. Well, I think we beyond that, we'll probably look at adopting you as one of our own eventually, and this certainly might be a we fast track towards some some citizenship stuff down here in New Zealand. One final question, if I may. I know you're going to be embarking on another big year over in the US with tournaments galore. What does this mean to you to warm up for a season here in New Zealand where the weather has generally been relatively hot and you've had some good competition goals to warm up for the big season? Yeah, it's actually it is actually a really big win for me. I haven't had a win in over a year and to know that I can do it again is means a lot to me. But it's I'm really excited for the future because of that. So, thank you guys. >> Well, that is very special. What a special way to kick off the season. On the MVP discs two and under, at the start of the season, we had Jennifer Smiley from MVP win. Thank you guys so much for joining us and we will see you guys back in the [music] United States. Hey, hey, hey.
