what's up everybody welcome back to the copperhead Canyon disc golf tournament out of the West Side YMCA in Tulsa Oklahoma this is the back nine of the final round my name is Gabriel down I'm here with mr. Bobby Cox what's up everyone we've got an awesome card got Matt Belson at 13 down got three two locals a little bit behind them Gary's uh gonna be sitting at eight brain and Cothran at six we got Justin Robertson at three and then Mike at two down gary was making a run there for a little bit he started off insanely hot he has like five or five or yeah something like yeah I think so but um yeah we were on hole 10 hear par 3 this is a children 75 foot hole there's really two lines you've got a hyzer around the right side and then the left side as well it kind of splits into a why most people that say go for the forehand you just want to throw something pretty stable like a super stable fairway variable yeah something that'll carry really far right that's probably like the one mistake people make on this little is they'll they don't realize how far right it is from the tee box yeah okay cause you gotta go around all that all that stuff mm-hmm and here we have Coughlin it looks like he's throwing the turnover shot yeah that's the shot that I actually prefer yeah it's uh if you can get it over enough it'll carry all the way there and I think it's just balancing off of every tree right here just found a tree you're scary it looks like he might hit the exact same tree yeah I think he did yeah and he's gonna be up there by Cawthorne yeah he's saying quite had that any angle I could seek one yeah it's going way over the top yeah I've never seen that play before but it looks like it could definitely work out yeah I feel like I don't know maybe like a nice like an eagle McMahon get there like a grenade or something over the top yeah or Justin can throw this yeah he was still moans that too well that one didn't know very well yeah still got up there though yeah he'll have a pretty nice look at it way past Oh why he ended up lid right under his eye under the slide so he's gonna have to put them on top of the slide the tube slide yep yeah coughing kind of plink coming up there but yeah for heels that tap-in for the three and how that's just so a pill yes so much below yeah the camera didn't quite do justice so how uphill that putt was I mean there's a slide on this hole yeah that's how the hill yeah yeah exactly I can put a slide on flat ground no maybe slip inside him that was a good putt by Matt that's gonna put him at 14 down come on yeah oh yeah Matt's what just happened Matt's shocked as well yeah Justin go ahead and tap into him as they were dealing with this situation yeah oh my god he must have ended up on top - you know I think he says oh he's just talking oh yeah that's cuffing him out okay I figure out what's going on here yeah that's kind of sketchy to stand on top of there cuz it just really just raheem yeah so I don't know if that's like unsafe and he needs to play behind it or what like what no but you didn't get up here and he's gonna try to make something happen he's gonna do it anyway and put his Minnie up there I'm actually very excited to see how this happens he looks pretty secure boom and you know what I believe he misses up high he's not on the slide I had to get on that slide to make that putt now you didn't like a tough man for the three alright we were on the hole 11 this par 3 it is 295 feet it is very uphill and a lot of little ninja trees in the middle of the fairway this is kind of a poke and prey honestly if you want to throw something that Heiser's and hopefully doesn't hit a tree pretty much and have it slide up to the basket basket is pretty left as well yeah then there's like the actual tree with you know some leaves on it right infront of the basket that will catch a lot disc as well so very tricky goal yeah I'd say fretting holes this is a bonus Brady oh yeah sure I mean 295 uphill that's that's at the pump mm-hmm and through all that right Matt bells done a great job with that and this is looking great from Gary oh yeah yeah and he's right there yeah first round we didn't really see anyone that would get shot and on this whole yeah that's all yeah so far it's looking pretty good here's Micah looking good as well oh hey that tree just barely hit the tree now I didn't even see that from from the tea box and now I'm free thought he was parked or something yeah and Justin's gonna find himself a little bit short there yes gonna be a layup with that tree in one mm-hmm mmm not the worst kid yeah it's gonna have to be a layup as well oh no it's gonna have to make a long putt for power yep looks like Hawthorne forced it through a little tomahawk out of the tree well done yeah they're all done look that AVR x3 do you know anything was there hot a might have been a VRS - I didn't quite see the color of it mm-hmm Justin just a little bit short he's gonna have to settle for a bogey he knew that immediately yeah Gary to stay with Matt Bell or try just like them like slowly kind of disappearing by himself yeah oh well look a blank you see why any ideas like him yeah oh yeah Gary's gonna get a stroke he's now five back from that good thought there by Brandon yeah good par safe and a bogey from Justin throwing the mini in there that's not gonna stick but my more than your pots but you know yeah all right well uh we were on the whole 12 this is a part 395 feet or super shorty you've got a forehand gap a little forehand gap down the left side and then if you have a little bit of power on your forehand you can take a little over the top route which is preferred I think it's hard yeah just to take everything out of play looks like Matt's lining up the lower forehand here ooh and you just caught an early tree looks like Gary's taking that over the top no he's taking a driver no he is taking the driver yeah basically the exact same shot matches a hat yeah oh I guess taking that right down around which is not even close I know but I don't think this is the over the top hole 16 s no not 16 it's like 14 I don't know something this is the short the short one that's kind of like hole 7 and branding all the way down there and that's a good shot from Justin yeah you gotta be so accurate on this hole a couple feet off your line and you're not you're not making it oh man I guess Gary's just trying to show off his long putts today because you can't horse up another one all right yeah that looks really difficult yeah come to put that much ante on it yeah you should be able to save the part though oh yeah I remember that one that literally was dead center chain his reaction just says it all yeah I mean that should have been in awesome almost but Oh watch out can you confirm that that did not hit you it did not hit that tree all right to the right of me cool and brain and Justin really going once with the clear birdie look here's Matt salvaging the car yeah I don't think he needs to press at this point I think he's too worried about taking bars no nice birdie by Justin bouncing back from bogey put him at a 30 down and the par 4 Coughlin as well get Justin's had a lot of birdies this round it's just bogeys mm-hmm was just that start mm-hmm that first kick a hole wide and Gary dropping a stroke - Matt yeah I don't think he was expecting a bogey on that hole yeah no not at all we're on the hole 13 this is a part three it's 298 feet I really just want to throw a forehand through this tunnel and have it skip up to the basket which is on the right on a little slight little uphill not really that difficult of a hole these guys throw it you got to hard yeah yeah it's pretty common to end up short on this hole yeah it is looking good man that's quick through own that the entire width without that fairway and that'll be easy little jump in birch progestin he has a great shot Justin's four hands actually come along a long way he's always been I'll throw that over the top stoppage he's had to work on the forehand it's looking really nice oh yeah him and Cockburn both they both have yeah and killing the four hands yeah and I played baseball with Justin growing up so that's why that over the top shots so good threat such a natural movement for him you know coughing I'm going standstill forehand and that was that was looking really good yeah just that one treat I was sticking out in the fairway yeah Brandon's got tons and tons of power with this forehand there's a sneaky power looks effortless you can Gary going with a turnover raksha which is pretty rare to see on this hole but he's like haunted that very well look at that still spinning on the app use coliform about 50 feet left I had the power on it yeah just a little bit too right that's a look to go to 15 mm I just hit the top and that's scary for a stroke on Matt another birdie from Justin yep great berry from Justin really good shot Matt for par you will be holding at 14 like it with the CTP of the card or like of the tournament of the card okay yeah yeah yeah all right hole 14 this is a part three 240 feet and this is actually the hole with the over the top beforehand that we were talking about I got you they were extremists yeah they must be very very similar but um yeah like I said there's basically a low forehand gap on the left side and then the preferred routes really just the over the top four hand if you got the power yeah looks like Justin's lining up the bill will be old Tommy in the over-the-top armor oh yeah thumber anybody's on top of that branch a rare miss from him yeah but yeah the over-the-top shots actually kind of sketchy because if you get a little bit too much power like the way it plays downhill you can go away wall mmm-hmm that's really good for Micah it's gonna be a little bit deep but he's right there yeah that's what he wants Gary's gonna show us the over-the-top yeah no still quite a bit short but yeah has an open look that's why you can ask for it and Matt looks like he kicked he's gonna be well short of the basket Coughlin's going dumber yeah oh oh yeah well done very good that's a rare sight to see from Cawthorne see him throw a lot of over hands I don't think I've ever seen him throw an over hand yeah I can't I can't picture it yeah should be doing it more yep that's really good there's Matt from a long ways was a good run from how far away he was yeah oh you knew yeah right on beyond as soon as he like you almost knew it before even like oh yeah I could come back with oh great come back here I actually went my decent ways mind of a skewed it's all 2530 feet good par say from Justin yeah and this is a Justin's first year of consistently playing open and he's really done a great job yeah it's been leaked hard yeah but God will truly need cards yeah for sure almost got to film film film haha they almost got alma mater at FeO T yep yeah yep the PDG area a 4-way tie yeah your PGA member had to come play and he was at the younger one yep all right we were on the hole 15 par 3 this is a three hundred forty foot hole and it carries downhill the entire way it's you can't see the basket from the tee box either so you really want to throw something out to the right side of the fairway and have it slowly Heiser to the left something I'll just get all the way down there as long as you don't end up left or right you'll get down there and have a look one forehand a little flex forehand yeah and this hole goes a little back up there trying to find some tests down by the basket mm-hm and I thought he heard me say don't throw yet but he didn't hear me so he hasn't had through yeah he's down he's down the wall I didn't even know Coughlin through to a forehand her number oh yeah that's what that almost hit East run but yeah that was very I totally thought he threw a backhand is Justin's like I'm gonna be coming for him too but he changed yes lon we almost aced it last round apparently with the Mauryan flex yeah that says yeah you through the firebird still pretty good shot as long as you make the corner is you're fine yeah it's looking like a really good shot as well oh I'll buy the tree yeah just a little bit to live yeah the gap kind of tightens up towards the end of the hill once you get towards the bottom by the basket so you want it to be a little bit more left it looking that kind of sell this off but yeah it ended up it was about circles edge from there and yeah I like I went way left on this Drive didn't have single tree just kept going yeah it's a decent up shot from Geary there yeah tough tough why mm-hmm and as you can see this hole is like extra rocky yeah good chance of breaking your desk under Drive all right especially in this weather I know I've cracked about three putters already myself you this is why I cracked my first putter like a month ago and it was devastating yeah and it's not just like a small crack either like if you bang the center pole it literally cracks in half that's what my dad's done yeah pro plastic that's coming good pot when you have a Dodge that yeah that was all raised just you know looks like we got par saves all around hey Brandon Brandon's gonna have to take the take the pole after that great Drive yeah I've never seen anybody go that long on this whole house way back there all the I've either yeah it's a rarity all right we are on the hole 16 this is a par 3 it is 265 feet it's um once again a lot of trees in the fairway you really want to throw something straight that has a soft hyzer finish yeah I mean the boys the trees instead of that something that's slowly going left you only anything hard laughter uh sir you're not gonna be in gasps button yeah putter or mid-range do the trick for you Matt looks like he went fairway driver yeah some overstate we kind of put a little flex on it yeah that's just fine he's about 25 30 out and I can gone with that turnover for hand again yeah he's pretty good at toes end up a little bit short but still looking at the basket I would take that oh yeah that I really am shocked does he always turn up before any shots oh yeah like I've never seen that meeting in one round before yeah Jason go with the backhand oh I know this that's working pretty well a little bit sure he's gonna be about 75 feet short part of a short it's just looking really good I got beautiful looking throughout wasn't it yeah Oh ain't nobody checks up out well oh my gosh yeah yeah let's come home a brutal roll away but he should still be able to stop at the birdie yeah he's been putting really well this round so here's Justin from about 75 feet oh yeah that was dirty nice I love this awesome putt from Justin yeah and he has that on that down yeah that's a jog yeah but you got to do it though especially there's a camera on you gonna make it look as cool as possible Rangers do that with you huh yep there's Matt to go 16 down well kind of bounced on top of the cage yeah those are gonna go one way or the other here they're bouncing and then like it's rolling like 20 feet or it like bounces and hits the chain yeah and my god I just slid right through the chance yeah good putt from Gary that's gonna put him at ten yeah yeah Brian is just not not playing to the level of play that you should be doing this Hannah definitely not used to seeing these putts from Brandon yeah he's usually a really solid safe player I had to keep that yeah all right we are on the hole 17 par-3 the signature hole out here at the Copperhead Canyon West Side YMCA at 600 feet carries downhill initially off the tee and you can see downtown Tulsa from the tee box yeah yeah it's really really scenic shot awesome you really just wanna throw a flat maybe a slight turn over fairway driver or mid-range down this hill you want to really end up to the closest to the center of the fairway as you can it's just so good night yeah you won't you really want the best look possible for your second shot which is not easy to do and like I said last round like here in Oklahoma we're not used to throwing shots as downhill as this right like this is a rarity let alone the 30-foot wide fairway yeah going down 600 feet so it's a very challenging hole you wanted to walk away with a four to be ass with you this was at kindig-it from Gary just and he's a little bit heck yeah you can work from there yeah you can work from there very easy what are you yeah if you're any more left than that you're you're not English a mass is looking good yeah I used to get left yeah got a fortunate little cake right shot that right side isn't bad at all because it gives me a lot better look there's bushes on the left side of the fairway so it's just hard if you're on that left side to have a clear look at the basket yeah and the right side of the green does open up a bit more you cannot bail out if you need to on the right side the basket I think that's kind of turned over yeah I turned over just a little bit too much and he's gonna be left so long wise yeah it's gonna be a tough look looks like he might be lining up and over the top landing that up I just can't quite get the get the height on it yeah just too low good kick though right down the middle fairway yeah yes I'm pretty good from where he was that mm-hmm that spot pin-high yeah that was a very good shot he's gonna be about pin-high probably 45 feet to the right any three look is glorious yeah oh yeah that's coming out well sure yeah that's way short he's mad this is absolutely filthy and now that's a driver too right yeah you have to go yeah I'll stand still so you used to driver to dis couple though yeah smart move just put a lot of the ante on it and then trust it to come back it's a great shot for math that's why he's one of the best in the world yep great shot from Cawthorne as well and gary is just not in a good spot here is he going for he and roller no turn the turn over yeah and then this wasn't enough room to shape that shot yeah I know you would have had to put an insane amount of Annie on it with a super overstable disc is just wasn't gonna happen yeah and you're doing Gary's running this why not oh that's a good bid here's my cup for three the area and it's a great part of the best feeling poor in Tulsa oh yeah one of them whole eight hundred long it's probably the best feeling three yeah that is pretty good feeling and unfortunate bogey from Gary this is Cawthorne to save the bogey as well yep well done and you can't really be too mad about a four on this yeah right no you can't yeah like I was saying a four is totally fun yeah and that's a great part from that Bell and there's so many opportunities to birdie on this course yeah take taken one one four on a 600 foot hole that's insanely hard oh yeah that's you know yeah I don't think that all right we are on to our last poll this is hole 18 par 3 it's 285 feet really just want to throw a hyzer down this gap till I'm on the right side and hope it skips up to the basket there is kind of a downed branch or log yeah right in front of the green that may prevent skips depending on where you land but I mean you really want to get it a little bit higher than you think yeah it's hard to get it all the way up to the basket you're really just looking for somewhere between a 40 to 30-foot putt mm-hmm and that's with the higher approach maybe you can pass that log and when the patch that's perfect squeaked through all those trees on that left side yeah maybe it's not that hard to part yet hurry ooh Micah squeaked through that yeah there yes a yep there's that branch I was talking about justine go with the farmer and just late release there hold it yeah that reaction was perfect he's like I meant to Plinko it off the other tree I'm gonna patch trees in this tree here and then this gets got stopped yeah it looks a little tight but it's made you know wow that's perfect yeah he's right there see if Gary can finish this round strong looks like you got him that's three part jobs on this holes very impressive yeah that's awesome Justin going with this standstill here it's a sextant barber yep same disc and just caught that tree in front of the basket but you have another long par pup you know like a little heavy on the Heiser again yeah looks like we have a three-way tie for third right now see if Justin can land this oh yeah yeah he didn't want to lose to the basically everyone no cop thorn taken out right third yeah well that is if the chase cards haven't been making move but guess we'll see here in a second Gary was just so close to having that really really impressive round yeah just took that one or a couple bogeys and you know started five four five there it is the champion I though shooting just salty rounds great tournament format Belle is great to film in both rounds yeah it's cool at his last round or his last tournament I guess was last round playing the 1964 he got a doves house article yeah last win with latitude 64 yeah and once again Congrats to Matt Bell just winnin by seven strokes killed it off just absolutely killed it Gary shooting um really get around I think he shot a 49 that second round which is really good score out to Copperhead Canyon burning Hawthorn getting out right third and then Micah and just
