what's up everybody welcome back to the Copperhead Canyon disc golf tournament this is the back nine we are out here at the West Side YMCA in Tulsa Oklahoma my name is Gabriel Dao and I'm here with Bobby Cox hello we've got an awesome card we've got the one and only Matt bell sitting at four down Tommy agent one of our locals is three back sitting at one down then we have Tim Spencer and ancient maudlin sand at one big so hopefully those guys can bring it back and yeah this is a this is a very wooded course very hilly birdie or die you know really just off the trees and mixing putts yep awesome course here we are at a whole ten this is a part three two hundred seventy five foot hole there's really two lines there's a gap to the left that kind of goes uphill and bends around to the right and then you have a kind of hyzer line on the right side which isn't really like quite there the heisman sucks yeah yeah it's it's not not very good it's super tight and it's really hard to go in a basket and here we have Matt Bell throw in a perfect shot he's just you throw he threw a I think a fairway driver just really hard on a really really hard a hyzer angle that's what you have to do though yeah you just have to make sure it gets really right yeah and I actually I I more beforehand player but I actually prefer the backhand turnovers I like ain't just about to do here hmm yeah it's definitely they don't only know why I just seem it seems like it works more oh wow pretty good there Dan and for everyone wandering behind that basket it's a massive slide yes you can tell what it is but it's it's that landslide yeah in classic summer camp fashion exactly oh look you may come back come back I was looking at Adams hand oh so did that almost looked like it bounced at the bottom of the bag yeah hit that ring or something oh oh look at my yeah and Andrews just standing on top of the slide is this guy slid right underneath his so he had to mad that's a great birdie yeah we could have solid ton of birdies on this hole mm-hmm all right here we have hole 11 this is a par 3 295 foot hole it's really kind of weird there's a lot of trees that you have to miss and you're really throwing something you can throw a flex forehand you can throw a mid-range and hope you miss some trees I mean it's there's kind of a poke in pretty this is this is one of the holes I hear that you're it's so much less involved here yeah yeah you just have to hit your line plus the basket is completely blown from the sea that's going with a wider hyzer line and that took a nasty kid and he's gonna be I'm sure he'll find a way to par it but yeah and Tommy's release points been off the the last stretch at the the front nine and now it's kind of carrying over here mm-hmm if you can figure that out I mean he's a great putter eating him he can shoot a great round out here Oh Andrew finding the same tree Tommy did and I don't know how he's getting the basket from there yeah I really don't that's a really good shot from Tim there yeah I'll give him a look yeah Andrew just got to throw it right into this wall of trees and hope it somehow gets through well pinball action there it's a good up from Tommy I'll have a little bit of an obstructed putt with that tree there oh and that's going super-high super high any and found a tree and he's gonna be about circles edge there he hasn't had to make a pretty big putt him almost dunks it in but I'll have to tap in for three did that cut through your legs I don't know I wish we could like replay it right now but it's okay yeah let us know in the comments gay and Al's Matt's first bogey the round yeah or it's gonna be oh yeah nice great putt by Tommy has two Tommy Wow very nice yep that's well done great Popeye Tommy just floating that Mick Mick Pro maybe are in there he's gonna fall to 4-under par give him Tommy a little bit of breathing room a little bit of a chance against the I'm back it's still another round yep Andrew with bogey he's making some really nice buzz just sadly a different foreign to him and Tim are tied at the back and here we are this is a whole twelve part three very similar to hole seven on the front nine it's a downhill forehand shot with the basket just a little bit to the right so yeah you're really throwing a really soft before hand with maybe a mid-range or I guess you could throw it a little bit higher and spike it in with a fairway if you wanted for a little bit less skip but yeah it's a pretty easy little hole as long as you don't find the tree he just can't go off the tee right now it's crazy yeah and he's only like an inch off he seems like you know that's a good shot by Tim though he'll be about circles edge yeah great shot right there Oh like Nikki Andrew a pot yep yeah that's it's not a fun spot tommy's usually I so accurate with those Nova's those was Nova this better than anyone I've seen in person nope just found the branch yeah he was that was about 50 feet there downhill tricky putt Tim just seems to be hiding in front of the basket a lot of these putts no Tommy's gonna be tapping in for a bogey that's nice putt and very I believe four five yeah oh wow you know when I Sparty that buy-in true Tim just a little bit short he must have got a little roll away cuz he was right there yeah Trump figure out why he's not wearing sleeves oh there's Matt back with the ninja he's ninja up he must have put it back on after the bogey all right exactly time to get serious now to get it showing there by this card on that very surprising I thought more of a whole thing no not at all all right we were on the hole 13 this is a part three 298 feet you're really throwing a forehand or hand yeah it's a forehand straight down this gap and then have a little bit of a hyzer finish at the end hope it skips up this hill right up to the basket there's a lot of trees to miss as well that tunnels pretty tight yeah but very doable if you're comfortable with a forehand just kind of aim it at where I'm standing right there and you have a fete towards the basket about all mm-hm not just through his a little bit too high it found a branch up there that's one thing about Copperhead is it's there's a lot of low ceiling out here so you got to keep a lot of your shots pretty low yeah last sneaky branches yeah how's it go shot by Indra right there yeah very good shot giving himself another chance for a birdie Tim's flexing went out here I'd be a little bit short but don't have a putt and that seems to be my mistake when I play this hole as I seem to always come up pretty short on someone why Tommy you don't want a little turnover rock and we tossing it up there just got a little bit pet kick now don't forget upshot though there's that Nova again Oh scared the basket right behind it good run by Tommy hey Tim just kind of looked like it kind of slipped out of his fingers great party by Andrew and it's putting him back at even yeah seems like the only real mistake Andrew makes on his putt sometimes I'll have some wobble with it but whenever it's not wobbling it seems to be going right in mm-hmm he's talked to me about that he's that's his main goal 2019 it's the thing that put up a little bit yeah definitely that's gonna have to settle for par there but he's still sitting pretty and we are on to hole 14 this is a part three very very very wooded this really there's just a forehand gap to the left side over the top is how there is sometimes arrived he is overthrowing a house pool yeah in a pretty short hole it's not an easy birdie but no eye drops off quite a bit to bond so you got a good putt by blame there he was actually talking about that he's like I made a really nice jumper on one of the drone footage that's like yeah I'll have to see that yeah that was it was definitely I got a sexy for a jumper nice shot there Blaine oh don't be give him too much credit again now I was a great shot yeah and this was looking good as well it's gonna be a little bit deep but yeah I'm given it to get that much turn on it but it's still faded out it's fun and Tommy was going for that right gap which is so tight and so hard to hit he kind of Plinko it up there yeah I've never looked at it it like looked at that gap and think to myself that's a that's the way to go here yeah no I just never do Tommy's Tommy's comfortable with those turnover shots though um he's not very he's not known for his forehand yeah he's got a very good turnover game yeah oh just a little bit left Tim you're sleeping it short and Andrew with another bogey safe but I have a nice 206 down six down just crushing the competition right now I think it's the ninja hood all right we were all wear as long hours of practice yeah that's a whole 15 this is a part three three hundred forty feet it carries downhill all the way and then turns to the left you're actually blind to the basket from the tee so we really want to know what the basket set you'll be throwing mid-range that just carries and Heiser's all the way down this hill you really just want to keep the disc in the fairway as long as it doesn't get left or right you'll have decent look at the basket oh that's looking really really good that's oh that's probably like three feet in front of the basket perfect height great yeah yep most today's flex yeah Tim's definitely apparently is not feel comfortable backhand trying to force everything with the forehand totally getting caught up you know yeah there's some trees around the corner that you can't see that you have to avoid yeah you really want to push that back set of trees as close as you can yeah and then swing it left mm-hmm but obviously it's very hard to do that intentionally yeah Tim's left with the wide open up shot you know luckily yeah I'm sure you guys noticed how rocky to this course is a lot of roll was yeah that's like you're gonna take it on the side of a mountain it's like all 17 of faily yeah it is two rocks everywhere yeah it's really cool was having a insanely what a course I could ride in the middle the city you know this is Tim to save par just left the basket come on Tommy yeah good par save from Tommy and Matt bell please you knew you knew that was going on oh yeah he's down to seven and this is one of this courses where you can get you can shoot really well here if you're playing good obviously but you can shoot really bad yes well oh yeah I mean your game could turn around in just a second we've seen that with Tommy you take a couple bad tree kicks and it's it's hard to come back and usually like like the bad rounds you even like realize it until after yours like wow oh how I got that bad yeah exactly all right we're on the hole 16 this is a part three 265 feet you most people will be throwing a mid-range down this center cap it is very tight it's again just like a lot of the other holes out here just a lot of trees down the fairway actually chained out a couple weeks ago you were there I was there for that yeah yeah just something that slowly moves left is typically gonna be a pretty good shot and that's gonna be about circles ahead yeah it needs to get left pretty wide yeah he's got cutting got caught by the trees yep this could be a pretty obstructed putt Hindry going with the forehand a little flex forehand I like it actually yeah that's looking really good I like that line yeah he's right there you'll have a pretty easy birdie there attend with a good shot you know I really hit that tree yeah and that just slipped out of his hand she's gonna lay it up yeah forced to throw it low under that law or a big branch yeah I definitely looked like he got in his head and just keeping the train rolling doing Matt Bell things probably yelled Steph Curry yeah I think I yelled Kobe and then he yelled Steph Curry those legs are hell I ain't her to put himself at even oh come on just a little bit too high he's unfortunately gonna have to stay at one big yeah he's frustrated yeah understandably though and him taking a bogey he's just so close from just shooting like five strokes better each round just so close you know this next hole though this is a whole 17 this is the definitely the sitting there for a while I don't know if you can see it you can kind of see it yeah downtown Tulsa downtown Tulsa out there it's a very downhill shot it's I wouldn't say this is a par three because it's pretty nuts is it bad for ya it's technically a par three but it should be a par four yeah you really just want to throw a mid-range or a flip-up fairway driver to get all the way down this hill as far as you can and then as long as you're more towards the middle of the fairway you'll have a pretty easy look towards the basket but that's that's not an easy task yeah and if you're Billy lund you can take the over-the-top route which is almost guaranteed to not work if you're anyone but him yeah her two heard people talk about that I'd like to see it in person yeah I can't remember if you made his two putt or what but he is definitely within like 40 feet yeah from what I've heard Tommy just left it you really got to make sure you're throwing down on this hole and that's one thing I never do yeah and it always bites me in the butt changes yeah in Oklahoma like we're not used to not used to having to throw this downhill to examine what's around us yeah we just assume it's gonna be flat like usual yeah it's a very very unique shot for us and yeah not easy and Tim very fortunate to kick right back in the military while mm-hmm this is looking really nice just needs to get back left yeah that's perfect well some kind of mid-range maybe Rock big-time grip block from 10 mm-hmm Tommy's just trying to putt out to the middle fairway yeah that's all you can do back there yeah it's pretty thick as you can see all those little vines and branches like there's no squeaking through that and the only like level part of this fairway or of this hole is on the fairway you go in the rough your slanted you know yeah having some pretty rough footing just had a little bit of a late release there early release I didn't even catch that but I wouldn't brag Donny if I did yeah that's a good a little shot from that down great shot actually yeah stepping on this tee it's really easy to try to just crush one see how far you can get it try throw the absolute perfect shot and it just hardly ever works mm-hmm go with the mid-range go with the putter keep in the fairway and that pill with him unfortunate bogey but he's still holding that seven down and Tim with a triple bogey yeah not a fun score to see on the second-to-last hole of the rally no and I've I've taken some massive numbers on the but triple definitely trouble actually no I had a really shown this hole last time I played it I think I got a three on it what you throw that's really a saint and Oh a nice flip up great st. what was a forehand or backhand backhand okay flipped up wrote a little bit right and then just started to come back right before that tree that's that's a shot yeah that's really what you gotta throw alright we are on to the last hole of the first round this is wholly team it's a part 3285 feet really just a hyzer carrying all the way down this little gap on the right and then you want to skip up to the left uphill towards the basket there is this kind of fallen branch yeah doesn't help anything prevents that a skip shot from happening so you might see a lot of discs hit that but um yeah here we have Matt Bell oh yeah definitely nice good good bingo Oh got a little bit of a back role in that uphill or downhill that's a makable putt format beldo it's the Heiser oh man thought that's it fellas hydrating like just right before that I was looking really good out of Angie's hand Tommy going come I got forced over flex shot I don't like a lot of shrimp looks like he'll release it earlier though Tim going with the backhand that's looking pretty good actually yeah I thought I might been sawed off of his hand but he's pin-high he's right there Tommy won't get four hand roller yeah that's really the only option for more he was at he's have a really tough par save putt mm-hmm and true going wait yeah I think got out of it or got away from a little bit yeah it has salsa before yeah definitely a not the round Tommy was looking for no no I started off for the kid just I think those those couple kicks and a couple bad holes will get in your head and that bells just tearing this course Matt's friends yeah absolutely incredible right he down is so good out here yeah usually yes what was it 1038 rated 10-4 yeah suddenly like that he's finishing this you're really strong yep yeah yeah there is very frustrating oh I've been there you know we all have and your putt just it feels like you've never put it before in your tire life it just you just can't figure it out you know yeah team first time on camera finishing it out yeah I hope I see him
