hey everybody welcome back to the round 2 coverage this is the back nine we're here at the ledge shown Insurance Open presented by this craft and brought to you by gk pro go throw we have Katrina Allen page Pierce cally Mick Moran and Jennifer Allen on the lead card Katrina and Paige are really just going back and forth with tying and and switching the lead out Kali's just kind of hanging on we're hoping she picks ups at the pace in the back nine and Jen is playing super solid my name is Madison Walker I'm Erika Stinchcomb and we're gonna talk you guys through the ramp thing let's dive straight into hole ten it's a ninth most most difficult on the course today it's three hundred and ninety-three feet it's pretty tough to get it in the circle even though it's downhill that water doesn't come to into play unless you really rip one but there's not really any other out of balance to worry about a tree off the tee pad blocks the hyzer so it forces you to really flex a disc down there and it's so hard to get your disc to flex all going downhill yeah trina makes it look super easy but it's not but see I think that's kind of the landing zone that little grassy that tall grass that strange exercise ball in the middle yeah we have a strange little Marsh with a home gym right in the middle of circle two you really have to rip it to get down there boom that looks like some great trust what was that brush with a felon my reading that is a felon nice I think she has a couple first runs that she's been throwing yeah they're kind of beat in glide a little bit Jen with the full twirl follows yeah Jen and Kelly are hanging in there but there's some some ladies on the cards in a second third card that are shredding today it's it's pretty tight out there yeah the conditions were calm and it was really just set up for people to get birdies yeah the only condition was really just the tee pads it was definitely a decent day to be thrown out there today Kelly power something down to circle twos I just circled to look into maybe pick up a long putt here over to get this that water is behind the basket but since it's uphill it doesn't really come into play it's not something I think about listen to Katrina's steps there no she's and yet another Marsh oh man almost two for two Jen looks like she's right around circles edge ish just pulls it a little right whoa Jim's been having some putting woes this year she's been struggling on the green which is strange she's been such a confident putter in the past but I like to see her trying out a new putter I think that's a really great way to hit reset on your cutting game and once she gets comfortable with him I think we'll see her just crushing putts no problem I think yesterday was the first day that she used him well I I'm pretty sure that's crazy yeah early in a tournament anyway I don't know how long she's been practicing but I think she'll she's hit some good ones she'll dial it back in Jim doesn't get a whole lot of practice time she has a full-time job she's got kids so it's it's cool to see her out here shredding moving on to one of the hardest holes on the course at least it at least the most intimidating cuz there are things all along the right-hand side it's downhill there's a little fence thing that can kind of block your hyzer shot you don't want to flip something over because the water you don't want to stable out because there's a tee off area that's out of bounds up above basket you want to just try to land something soft and hopefully not too Rolly on that super slow pea-green yeah this court this hole does play quite difficult it's about four tenths of a stroke over par it's really hard to throw through that gap all the way down there straight and not push the water or push long I don't think that green comes into play too often but I think what Paige just did is probably the common error to kind of just you know leave it a little bit left and end up on that hill that had some really good ground play it's not a total death putt but it's quite downhill and I was on that hill today and it's actually pretty slippery so hopefully Katrina can maybe give it a run from there generally mashing on a Jennifer Allen t-bird awesome shot goes to Park City that's the line Kylie throwing a convict we saw Paige and Katrina both page three through a fairway or to the fairway just a little whip from page let's a little bit of work kind of a scary approach and she doesn't quite commit so downhill Callie makes a smart move they're not messing around that is a defi looking putt okay it's worse than I thought did you run that it oh my god boy I mean that was nice and high and she had no fear look like really clean stroke yeah she's got a pretty ideal putt where it's you know high xoring into the basket so if she misses it doesn't go too far past either oh that's a brutal roll away Lisa stays in the awkward stance it looks like this we drinking sugar par here it looks very natural Wow great great par save Kat actually had the only two on the day I think it shows just how tough it is it's a really tough tee shot it's a very scary touchy tee shot tough putting to with that hillside great par safe from Paige always good to go down on the knee when you're putting from that elevation she's really good at that shot Callie cleaning up stress-free par well twelve this is an interesting one 280 feet fantastic it is interesting you know I think they'll probably all go for it you do see a lot of people kind of lay up right to that gated area right where the drop zone is so it's dangerous I mean if it's not a huge green there you know places on basically as an island that is strip kona in the middle but you have to go drop zone and I don't think anyone's really gonna save a car from that drop zone so about a 75 foot putt from the drop zone it's a blind shot from the tee so that makes it even scarier you're throwing just basically through a narrow gap uphill high xoring into an area that you can't see at all and it it looks like a big gap but it's so easy to pull it one way or the other look like they land safe said a suspect same page yes it was a suspect I guess not Tina's face on it boy Jen just trickles barely OB that's the Jennifer Allen t-bird again she's really confident with that disc and I think it's a great I mean she almost had it that's that's the danger Callie - great line just below just a bit low Jen throw in a provisional here she says that because she wants to make sure that her disc is fully out of bounds and instead of walking up there and doing it she's just gonna throw this just in case yep smart play that's a good run at it I mean quite a long putt if anyone could throw it in oh I was gonna say it's Cali she has a little bit of a timing misfire on the putt cat from the circles edge wow she's on fire right now he's a machine he gains another stroke on the field Paige looking to save a bird as well here again cat is really forcing Paige to kind of match her stroke for stroke on a lot of these yeah by making them longer putt mm-hmm but Paige is rising up to the challenge pretty much every time here so Kali and Jen will take their bogeys and move on if you go for it here that's a risk you kind of have to be willing to take it but you're either gonna get a birdie or a boat there's actually only five birdies on the day so thank you again to D mart and they're super cute dog moving on to hole 13 329 feet kind of another one of those must get there's actually some casual water kind of right on the edge of circle one today so it's pretty much a straightforward Heiser just skip under those trees give yourself a putt I don't think the OB is too pressing it's definitely you know well I definitely found it I found it yesterday so it's possible pressing it's a kind of a long shot 330 feet patrina throws a little bit of a misfire throws it right into the ground but she's safe and it still kind of skips away down there but you can see that puddle yeah you know you just you just want to make sure you have to get around the low-hanging tree branch on the right that's kind of fluffy and it takes away the highs are Paige - squeaks underneath it it takes away the dummy play you have to flex something or you have to throw something straight and it makes it that much more challenging because you could skip out of bounds left or you could flip something while you're talking yeah I'm fancy that left side does come into play if you're not careful that looks like a really nice shot Wow excellent Generosa Jennifer Alan t-bird again boom three holes in a row you guys check those things out Charlie throwing a verdict I believe oh wow a Midway down there that's a surprising choice I mean I guess going straight at it you know and she's got herself a long putt you're confident with your power yeah it's a smart move she's got a very smooth you know kind of release and follow-through how many birdies do we have on the day here this is Timmy I feel like this is such a tough birdie but I feel like there's probably gonna be a lot looks like Oh like a dozen or more out of 44 that's it that's quite a few it's a hard hole to get to Paige takes a birdie she evens the score here I think that's the first time we've seen that this round huh maybe early on mm-hmm great check Cali looking to save a par here no prob and we can see Katrina and Paige kind of running away with it now Missy having a great round though yep I got to play with her she was shredding making a ton of putts Vanessa Haley Jennifer they're all kind of in that next grouping right behind him hole 14 it's 410 feet there's one branch kind of right in the middle that kind of forces you to throw you know kind of a turnover there's a lot of room to the right everything on that left side on the corner is OB so you know you're trying to get something it pretty much as right as possible to give yourself the best chance to get up there for your three yeah probably here on this lead card we might see we might see Paige we might see Katrina we might see Jen going and trying to crest that corner go for the eagle yeah I know Paige tried to go for yesterday it looks like she went for the super power shot and grip locked a little she'll be fine over there on there yeah but you're right they definitely have the power to get there for an eagle look it's such a strange shot but that tree branch forces you to get cute with the disc you really do have to flex something if you want to get far down there if you hit that branch it knocks it straight down it's not a nice that looks like a good line execute a perfect beautiful and super straight super far she'll have I think a straight look at the bat I think yeah even a jump up maybe easy up shot at the very least that is a really nice line on that trespass good trust pocket Rena through a d2 on that shop flexing on overstable got way up there she should have an easy look at that birdie Jen going standstill here a little bit of action on that approach with her caiman speak 20 a little over 20 feet Paige looks like a putter here Marshall may be perfect that's so far to get up there and be able to see the basket Wow Callie what a great there's so little jump cut nice and easy yeah she going deep I mean I didn't even know you could go deep on your drive so whoo really great hot making those yetis work this is actually the easiest hole on the course you know that danger it left its its present but I think it yeah I mean an average 1/2 stroke under par so I am surprised that's surprising a little bit but you know it's really not that long of a hole it's pretty straightforward almost that tweener distance I think not being OB on the right that's in place I mean there is OB on the right but it's far away it's really far shoot it lets you be able to attack you can really yeah throw as hard as you want pretty much after that par 4 we move on to the shortest hole in the course but also the tightest fairway on the course and this year they decided to throw it up on an elevated basket why not let's make it a little bit harder and add some OB around behind it backside that definitely can come into play sure can it's only 230 feet so it's really easy to accidentally overthrow especially when you're trying to kind of power something down a narrow gap well that those bushes on the left there Paige got past him but that's really dense on the right as well so if you well she's like yeah she did ding-ding frigging what a marshal did that was beautiful yeah there's a lot of danger if you pull it a little bit I think Jen throws mid here wow that was a very smooth shot from shapers smooth to powerful as per usual yeah they took a lot off that little line right looking shot yeah it was that slower run up that I haven't really seen that much from her it's really smooth oh that looks great from Kat as well putter she throws a pa1 alley working with flex great shot she gets just inside circle one I don't mind this elevated pin at the Pro Tours using I call in the lighthouse but as high I feel like which makes them less yes great birdie putt from Jen yeah outside the circle man great putt knocking a few strokes off here at the end yeah she really picked it up here man Holly with kind of a tentative run touches the band look good I mean you know you're committing them if you get high on an elevated thing really easy birdie putts from Katrina and Paige yeah this hole average two types of a stroke under par so good showing from our lead card here three of the four getting them there was what maybe like 10 it looks like or so birdies on the hole though there's a lot of trouble you can get in hole 16 is 352 feet you really I think everyone's probably gonna throw backhand maybe a few people throw in power sidearm but you got to kind of curve it around under that branch there and try to finish to the right if you go too straight you'll probably be in circle to maybe have a look but then it's kind of a downhill putt so that branch really comes into play making you force your shot drop it straight down that'll be a tough scramble from there doesn't get through that first line of trees even though this is a par-3 it's almost like a cleaner it's such a hard hole to get it's so hard to get in the circle Jenn similar results his page there that branch really is tough I'm not sure if they're trying to flex around the V tree that we can see on the right-hand side roller I love this from Kat she's always she's always doing things that no one else does I mean she's the only one I think in the FTO field he throws rollers consistently it's always so fun to see and it's a great shot taking that branch out of play man it's such a bummer that she stomp that fought through from Cali a little bit stage working the forehand approach suspects baby yep Oh felon actually really leaves a little short there she ought to do some work to save her par this might have been from yesterday's round so it could be a suspect also dis notes here I hope you guys really love the information that we're bringing you thank you to Sarah hokum for gathering all this data and you discs as well always a great tool between working a sidearm up shot as well with a 750 H seeking Ally bring one up band again wow it's unbelievable to me how Kelly doesn't really jump from long putt she just with her form she can kind of float him up there reliably it had some I mean I had a lot of power on it oh man Paige just a little right side he's looking to gain a stroke there oh man everyone finding trouble on this hole this one did play over par by about a tenth of a stroke there were about five birdies on the day five mm-hmm more than I expected yeah Haley King Jessica wheeze Warren Butler and we Beach and shout out those are that's a great - that's the tough - it's so hard to get in the circle I bet they all had to make cuts to make that - probably not it's happened cuz you can obey the king yeah shout out Haley king free haircut we got to watch her yesterday on one of the feature cards thank you to dis craft for helping put on the ledge stone open we appreciate it and we're moving on to the final par-4 of the day again a pretty gettable one only 525 feet for a par four you're trying to land right about at the drop zone or maybe this white stake and then you gotta take a pretty sharp turn into this gap here so there is OB on the left side there's a man know on the right so it's not super tight but you know you definitely want to land a policeman shot to make that up shot easy and give yourself an easy putt because that green is so treacherous today Islip saw a lot of other people slip lots of mud no matter where you'll end your drives this up shot is really tough it's that's right a little sawed-off sidearm it's really hard if you go deep you can't see the basket if you go short you can't see the basket so it's such a little narrow gap that you have to finesse a sidearm yeah if you don't have a sidearm I don't even know what you would do to give in to that gap nothing that's what the shot calls for definitely both Kali and Katrina both get their drives way down there I just talked a little bit more to the right maybe then you want to be but she'll be by the drop zone so there's definitely an option she's got a solid forehand you might need to skip something in Page pulling it wow I mean it's really not a bad kick that's a great game I mean yeah it's pretty fortunate push that manda on the right it's way down there on the right Jen looks like she doesn't quite turn it as much as she wants to I thought she was gonna be out of Bounce with that reaction yeah I'm sure she did too but it's pretty it's pretty wide and I mean now that she's left she should have a really nice look Paige throwing the sidearm at Ellen I was like yep it just burns it into the ground a little she's way out there to be throwing a touch sidearm that's scary Katrina throwing a sidearm as well she's got these dialed in it's really not a big gap from there and that's I mean that's such a good shot it's so hard to get in the circle with that sidearm you you don't know what you're gonna get with that ground play oh and that is great trust from Kali Wow and friendly roll inside the circle Paige with another sidearm design with the suspect looks like a good correction hmm got caught up a little it looked like it was skipping perfectly just outside circle one downhill death put Jen gets far enough down there that she's a back that's what I was saying I think being on that left side opens up the backhand I think that's the only way to do it and then doesn't roll out for him so that's the way that's perfect she bumps that tree and lands inside the circle page Wow what a save she just thrives under pressure and Plomo worthy for sure boy super super awesome par save Katrina looking for a birdie here look at all of that it looks like she felt a little awkward with her footing it was hard not to be slipping around that's for sure Cali for a bird get it oh I was hoping for that to drop jennifer bird with the yetis boom super confident little putt great bird crazy she was so far up there surprising to only see one birdie on this hole from the lead card there were again about other six on the day this hole average just about a tenth of a stroke over par like like I said in the round one video I mean there's the front name it's really nice to have a course where the pars are all evening out till two about exactly what they are it's a really great women's course it's really awesome to be able to confidently attack these holes yeah I mean look at these scores Kent page you're putting up and I mean a lot of the other women there are so many people under par yeah we had women from the sixth and seventh card shooting five and six down it was amazing it's really cool that there's opportunity out here for that let's finish up with hole 18 383 feet really not a lot of out of bounds and play there's some stuff way to the right you really want to throw a hyzer but that you know those trees on the right blocky so you kind of have to throw straight at it that looks great from Jen L&T bird again awesome in the circle it's so easy to Heiser out on that hillside and think you put enough power on it and then end up you know even outside circle too so really good commitment from Jen you know with the h3 v2 floating it to the right yet I like that play there's a lot of room right and then you kind of drift down the hill a little bit so that should be pretty routine for both of them it looks like Callie I believe with a pass she really turned it over but this is what I was saying it's so easy to hide her out if you don't quite put enough juice on it yeah you can't quite tell them that on the camera but there it is a steep hill to the left page does not get nearly enough over on it it's gonna it's gonna skip way down the hill yeah that's her flippy er1 she's been throwing but doesn't it right from living Cali from circle to welcome to maybe grab a birdie here at the end oh man what a good run tally holding on to par golf for the back nine not bad yesterday but June with a great birdie putt yeah good way to finish she definitely turned it on in the back a little bit I ended up what about five down for the rounds looks like Katrina taking another stroke on the field yeah taking another stroke on page there it has to going into tomorrow not a comfortable lead by the lead nonetheless yeah we're really battling super fun to see great calorie out there supporting the PIO field at our own course yeah thank you to disk
