hello everybody welcome to the back nine of the first round of the third annual mountain chain st. Patrick's Day open in Edmond Oklahoma at the Thai Cunningham disc golf course so far we've got Bo Tillman shooting 2-under par then we've got Kota Hatfield Clayton Lawson both one back at 1-under par then we've got Thomas wind over at one big and then David Easterwood at eight big yeah not not too hot of a start from the card really yeah it's a the front nine is really technical in it it takes a lot of pure shots yeah I'm not too surprised by it yeah all right getting straightened to this back nine this is hole 10 par-3 308 feet you really just want to throw a straight and hard shot and low shot with an overstable disc and have it skip up to the basket that is the ideal play and what you'll be seeing these guys do yeah if you can just Heiser right in front of that little patch of trees so out there on the left and it's usually at least somewhere into the circle yeah yeah the closer it gets to that right side of that trees there's gonna be the better - Thomas just yank it on this good thing it's got some stability and it stays in bounds it's the back door but he most likely gonna have to lay up for three from there there's just a lot of the way first but putting this nice and tight but catches the same branch that boded and gets a little bit different action there and he's gonna have similar distance but booktube oh dude ever since he said he throws the same as bow like philosophy do ya he throws it exactly like bow like their form is so similar yeah they both just put massive spin on them yeah they're both like really unique looking at putting it real low in it to skip and that's gonna be well short but he'll have a pretty open look at the basket yeah and he knew that was in this pretty much immediately yeah this is bow for the two and yeah mister not just about Dre background okay one of those yeah you're just like you don't wanna come out perfect oh wait looked like he was kind of about to walk that out but ya didn't go just a tad too low and Thomas yeah that's a difficult putt right there unless you're just a super spin putter or you just our beeline in towards the basket like a Simon lozad or something yeah that's a hard putt yeah and the problem with that is too is like if you air ball you're I mean you're going like 30 beep to write code with a nice putt though yeah this is Klayton not gonna be happy with that par yeah Clayton had believed those eight powers lost around nine yeah yeah there's so many bars yep he's playing clean at least yeah not taking anybody's it's probably very frustrating for him but I'd be happy with it mm-hmm all right whole eleven this is a par three three hundred and twelve feet it's really just one play here and that is the forehand you want to throw something a little bit straighter not too over stable you might want a little bit of flip up and have it skip up to the basket we might see Clayton's throw a turnover or Cotto the cloner doing the Dumber down yeah in this hole you really just want to make that initial gap which is probably why he did that that thumber did just get past there because if you're not you know you got to really carve out a shot to get all the way to the baskets it's kind of tucked away on the right so yeah I'll actually like over the top uh yeah but it's a very good able hole to it is it has a strong forehand so I'm surprised to see him go with the over-the-top shot there and although great forehand from beau and he is gonna be about 15 feet yeah those four hands come along one it's been said we'll just leave it up there what does the other of that I don't want give him too much credit because you know you might start you know give me some crap all right as if he doesn't already you guys Clayton yeah and he's gonna be throwing that turnover shot that he's so good at he just throws that rock on hey there's our ellipse and works out for him he's gonna be a little bit left in that tree there but he might be able to straddle out and have a little 25-foot putt from Annie David just barely catching that tree yeah it's a really tough back in line mm-hmm David you don't see him throw the forehand very often still had some brushing up to do yeah put that up shop up yeah this is Kota kind of a funky ankle here yeah ankle funny angle there Thomas just happened to just toss it over these trees and that'll work here's Clayton from inside the tree Oh gave it a good run but just little bit right yep beau beautiful birdie giving himself another stroke yeah Clayton with it good save for three there he will remain at 1-under par shout out bow for recommending us to probably the worst place to eat lunch I'm not gonna mention the name but you really let us down there beau I'm not gonna lie we're super pumped to go there and yeah I thought it was okay I mean you complain about your fish for quite a while without yeah good partner by Thomas gonna be tough in first par and sound really fancy I'm eating fish for lunch no no well your help I'm not I'm not that fancy go not that boogy boogy all right hole 12 this is a par three three hundred feet this is really just a big Heiser over the right side of this tree that you see right here you just want to throw it nice and high and have a crash into the basket yeah that's really the only that consistent way to get there's going up top so mm-hmm and that's definitely what these guys will be doing as you can see beau putting out a nice shot there beautiful shop are there oh my gosh it's kind of blah I didn't realize was this blind from the tea yeah how it is you can't see the basket at all this seems like they've played this course couple times they know Zeidler that and this is actually a boat omens home course yep he's uh he doesn't win this one then shame on her might be something wrong you got a pretty good skip yeah about circles edge that's putt there you should be able to convert the birdie from there this is Clayton lending up the same shot I'm sure yeah I'm sure he's just dying to get some birdies he needs them he's like I'm sick of these pars that's gonna be about where Thomas is that now circles edge you shouldn't be able to make that putt though a lot of traffic on this hole yeah with the walking trail right there mm-hmm notice that Wallace out there filament David just finding that tree throwing a little bit too low but still has a putt a long look just didn't quite put enough on it Clayton oh and he doesn't like that yeah his parting spin off last couple holes she's not coming off his hand right or something you know I mean he'd usually cash money from but you know but in a circle mm-hmm nice putt there by Thomas yeah great looking put just a glance in the chains so it's like a rule where you know there's like a certain amount of seconds where it needs to be at rest because I wonder if I go like that just I fell out I believe there is yeah Clayton's making all this nice comeback arrggh right it's just an initial puzzle yeah our office can't make the birdie putts and that will move Kota to 3-under par temporarily getting a stroke on beau yes but but we'll take that right back we're right here yeah it's always annoying like whenever you feel like you're playing like a nice clean round it can I've got Blackhawk for me every time I play Blackhawk and I feel like I'm playing a clean I get zero birdies that's and it's like all I need is that you know there's like no worry by the Black Hawk is great that's true well when were these I know it no bogeys Lane will yet imagine with no bogeys yeah yeah blind play black hawk all pars shot 54 yeah that's pretty hard to do alright hole 13 this is a par 4 420 feet you're really just throwing a hyzer to lay up to this opening here and then you have a little turnover putter or forehand shot for your up shot to tap in your three yeah I'd say it's one of the harder holes out here mostly just goes the distance and there's you know still a bunch of trees in the line it's gonna go on big Heiser without the Heiser yeah I think it's kind of stalled out on them on the right side and just didn't quite swing over mm-hm looks like I'll be able to straddle out from there and get up and down this is coda throne a similar line just barely catches that tree but ends up on the other side of it and we'll have a easy up-and-down from there yeah that might be a good tree actually I couldn't tell if those and go kind of weirdo is that or not but he's out in the open I shot there by Thomas yeah at the height on it that's for sure yeah that'll work he's gonna beep out probably like 80 short of the basket not very long at all and David's just having a hard time came off the tease today mm-hmm his putters working pretty well right and that he says he's had no room for you know a good flight there and yeah just kind of rushed it as well yeah oh it's taken a big spike hyzer and he ends up about say 30 feet behind the basket in in the in the rough yeah he's he's gonna have a tough putt save his three and that was just shank yeah yes yeah that happens with four hands way more oft in the back hands it seems like seen an opposite okay well you're in the minority because I do see a lot of just like just uncharacteristic Fournier shots with the forehand yeah clean with him super easy up and down named David just kind of rushed the shot again yeah he was playing pretty fast this round mm-hmm Oh with a good up shot there he will be able to tap in his three he's just Thomas to save three yeah he left himself a lot to putt yeah I know that's frustrating cuz he was in a really good spot to be melted off the tee yeah yeah he was Kota literally just has to pitch out from circles edge behind the past while I say luckily he was that close to the basket yeah oh I just overshooting that one just a little bit and he meets this putt just barely hidden cage that's putt there by Thomas yeah he's been super solid with in like 25 par 4 thomas thomas is also I believe he's pretty new to the open scene I'm never playing him playing with him and in advanced tournaments last year hmm so good par say from Kota there is Clayton what is birdie oh yeah first birdie of the back nine yeah of course it's on a par for some he's read it right another three button and that will move Bo to 500 par after that birdie and actually correction here there is it's the back 10 because there is an additional hole there's a whole night team because they wanted to squeeze in some more players so that'll be one more hole all right hole 14 this is a par 3 335 feet downhill the majority of players will be throwing a forehand down here with a tiny bit of flip up and have it skip up to the basket for guys like Bo and Clayton will be opting for this slight turnover shot which looks like Bo turned that over just a little bit too much and will be in some stuff on the right side yes yeah and I saw a lot of other players and on this card but just like around the course and this while I I've seen I spent a lot of like big forehand Heiser's they aim at that tall tree on the left side just kind of let it fade in yeah I think that's what I'd be doing mm-hmm yeah that's a great shot from Clayton what is Cota doing this is what they call local route ladies and gentlemen it looks way too wide yeah but it's not it's not that wide look at that what's he's about circles edge that's pretty impressive yeah yeah I thought you have to play this course a lot don't be able to pull that oh yeah exactly because if you and if you if at Heiser's to senior in some stuff and you're taking a 4 yes absolutely Oh a little bit of a slip from David there and he end up in this crap on the left he's just pitching out kind of gets a bad roll away there I'll have a long putt to save his 3 yeah Bo debated on this shot for a while and that was that was fainting or impressive than it looks just now like that that was a very difficult shot yeah like the small like point a window the size of a disc yeah let me hit it perfect you know David for poor its kind of laying it up mm-hmm I'll just settle for bogey this is Clayton for a stroke on bow oh man there's not landing in them that long just no birdie putts today and that will catch his little ham side yeah nice putt there by Koda gonna move to 4 down trying to catch up Bo here's Thomas yeah he will save par and here's Clayton for three after the unfortunate missed putt yeah you can tell he's getting that one sticks yeah yeah I mean he's usually dead center on spots and yeah he's slightly off and there's not following something some days that they land sometimes I don't know great par say from beau and where he was at yeah he was in bogey territory mm-hmm he got out of it and that's David for the bogey unfortunately that that will trip up on the tee pad didn't help anything home now all right hole 15 this is a part three 192 feet super easy little downhill hole the majority of players will be taking a spike hyzer missed Asaf spike hyzer with a fairway driver and haven't land next to the basket yep coda that ended up taking a craziest jump yeah it it like took a skip as if it was coming on like a flatter angle it was crazy yeah it could kick it came down like straight down yeah somehow is supposed to this sanely far left yeah I was supposed to just spike and hit the ground right it took literally the weirdest it didn't even hit a branch at a weird angle or anything it hit the ground on a spike hyzer angle and kick or skip like 40 feet well as hell peek and I've never seen that before let's hope he can make his birdie putt yeah it's gonna be tough from back there yeah looks like these other guys have put it pretty close though yeah they figured that this is Thomas in it right there see if David can bounce back here doing it real wide and that'll have a look yep this is Kota from the crazy skip yes oh yeah did you give her a putt from Kota yeah I wonder if he saw that from the tee pad do you know that this get the reaction yeah uh I'm not sure Yeah right if he didn't he was probably just incredibly weird oh yeah yeah I would have been looking for my desk for like 30 minutes like you see it land next to the basket yeah and that kind of angle it's gonna be there yeah nope not today just David for two yeah and he's kind of brushed that putt came a little early you'll have a tap-in three though Thomas with a birdie and he is made his way back under par let's go yeah on this kind of course you're you want to get in par David tattooing this far all right we are on to hole 16 this is a part 3 235 feet and this is really one of those holes where you can get to it however you're comfortable you can throw a putter that's straight mid range dead straight you can take a little forehand flex it's pretty open and slightly uphill but very gettable and a musket for these guys absolute musket use Cota putting it on a nice line and he is part beautiful you know what putters uh both rows um I don't tell me they're not assume AVR yeah probably he's a pretty traditional like disc thrower Leo you know destroyers rock classics yeah t-birds yeah but that's a good shot from Clayton it's Thomas and Thomas actually his grip on the disc is two fingers I noticed that when he threw wait what yeah he puts two fingers on the disc and launches it instead of like he crushes yes that oh yeah he puts his two fingers on the disc and just crushed it it's insane oh yeah hold that pose don't be kind of any football it's yeah and that'll put Thomas at 200 par yeah that'll put Koda at 6 on your par still holding the one back from beau who is about to tap and a birdie after Clayton and here's a birdie for Clayton another another birdie you know two birdies in a row may be hard to catch fire yeah might be a little bit too late but you know well hopefully carry on to the next round yeah here is Bo to move to 7-under par look at that fist bump he's pumped about that five footer oh yeah all right hole 17 this is a par 3 289 feet very similar to hole 8 there's a lot of trees that you not really a fairway you just want to throw over the trees and try and get close to the basket mostly these guys will be throwing a big Heiser over the top of these trees no that's not really though there's one a top of it off to see what he finishes I'm gonna assume short yeah it's gonna be a tough spot this is both big Heiser oh there it is right next to that you did that oh yes kill you and yeah that happened on this whole house this old word almost killed you yeah okay cuz they just kind of like I mean you ideally just want to like throw a hyzer and hit somewhere above the basket and have it trickle down right I mean that's the play and when you're a cameraman you can't really like Seabiscuit through branches though so you know it's fun that's gonna be well short but he'll have an open look at it we yeah that is a plus on this hole David go with the big Heiser as well some reason I just do not remember this a-hole it looks totally brand new to me right now mm-hmm looks like that'll work as well you know that's a great shot yeah I'm David Kota it's gonna have to do some work here looks like I had a pretty good gap a little bit of a knee hey you putz with those p3 X's so they kind of stay that way yeah yeah yeah I used to putt with super overstable but I don't know anymore man that's brutal that's just hits dead center change the results of that what's Browns been like yeah hi Clayton there there's a birdie oh hi but that's the Clayton Lawson we know that is move him to 5-under par and great birdie from Bo as well that will move him to eight Thomas Tappan in the par he will stay at 2 under coated with an unfortunate bogey yeah that that up shall I hit that tree and mm-hmm left him some room oh yeah all right we are on to hole 18 this is a par 3 362 feet the majority of the players will be throwing a forehand because it kind of carries right into these trees here I mean that's that's really the play there's also a big inning over at the top if you're more comfortable with that then a forehand that road is OB that road is OB so you want to make sure not to fade out if you are throwing the big Annie like bo is here and he's not in a great spot I didn't realize he tried to go like over the top of the trees and kind of flex it down on top of it and I don't hate that boy just Clayton doing the same line a little bit higher look that looks a lot better Wow that goes deep I hope he has a gap cuz I was a fantastic Drive yeah it's probably like what 15 25 20 25 yeah yeah here's a forehand and this round was awesome because it was really like our first round experiencing like hot weather MA in a while yeah and it was just glorious I was perfect barely any way and hint the shorts and short sleeves get over that's got a run road skills wooly just like stop just yeah yeah well he's gonna be Opie there and he will have to take it pretty far back yes frustrating the only rule I mean there's a couple OB holes out here but yeah you really don't want him obviously mm-hmm it's looking pretty nice because hold the turn yeah just kind of fading out but that's totally fine it's totally fun yeah it's got a long putt from there here's Kota OKC won't bake any what is he doing here it looks like you might be rolling up or lining up a roller that's just dumb yeah but it's an awesome play just barely that's the risk of throwing the roller there's there's that ditch right there yeah he can't be mad because he knew it was there and if you can't get it to turn over soon enough it will stop on that ditch yeah and Tom's had to play it way back and starting across the road super early yeah and he's hopping for the big sky high oh yeah beautiful shot that is fantastic here's Bo and that spose gonna be pretty deep and have a pretty tough putt in there he hit the line well it's just a little bit too much heat on it yeah too much ground action Oh rot the cage yeah just barely since David sit down but left here's Clayton for - oh man actually I didn't know he walked me that way as well wow that is a fantastic putt and you see Bo they're encouraging him of there yeah he claimed to carry this putting into the next round yes Clayton's a guy that shows zero emotions he'll ace it and he'll you know get it quadruple bogey and he'll be the exact same ice that's why he's so good though I like that level head just that's an unfortunate bogey from Thomas yeah kind of got wrong on that road eye it really looked like it was gonna keep rolling yeah just like at least like roll back in yes it just stopped yeah you don't see that very often hey beau unfortunately tapping into bogey alright this is the last whole whole night team part 3 410 feet the OB Road carries all the way down the left side so you really just want to throw a big Heiser and have a crash into the basket yeah it's a little sketchy to crazy yeah it's like the most open hole out here so the little one we had you've definitely felt it on this hole yeah it's a little sketch with OB road right there but I mean it's very very birdie bull yeah at least for these guys who have really big arms and clean it's gonna be about pin-high but probably 45 50 right yeah looks like we got a little left-to-right win on this hole yours David I mean it flip up a little bit more that's a great shot yeah great shot those going roller again kota kota yeah okay now oh yeah yeah it is yes he is looks like it's gonna leak a little bit right though yeah he's gonna be right there next to Clayton a little bit deeper actually here is bow be thrown out a similar shot I'm assuming I think he's gonna upgrade to the airport soon uh he might it's crazy that Justin Robinson told me that he only wears some because it warms his ears Oh air Potts yes he wears him in rounds because it makes his eaters warm his what he said he doesn't play music I didn't even know they were heated like that they're not that's gonna be an up shop in there probably yep and that's good play just guess if you just tried to smash into that bush and have a pun yeah code of her - oh that looked money from this angle yeah just a little bit right Clayton just way left there you know Davis just like why can't that just go in and I can just go to my car and go eat something yeah oh no and Clayton with a brutal spit out there that is save as three and he is now gonna be taking it bogey on this hole this is coded to save three as well a little bit of the tester yeah and after seeing a public that just bounced right out straight out it's not you know not feeling too confident after that huh nice birdie by beau great birdie move him back to 8-under par really it's just a solid round yeah he could have if I left some strokes out there good probably better oh yeah eight down and stuff nothing to complain about no here's Thomas from inside the bush and he will tap out for three this is David finishing off the round at the par unfortunate after that great Drive but happy birthday man happy birthday he made it on the card and I'm sure we'll see him again soon yeah was he crisps up crisps up his game a little bit and just that confidence back yeah oh yeah clean with an unfortunate bogey and the trend continues with the Clayton Lawson and Kota Hatfield ty yeah I'm not too shocked by this all right boats Hillman leading the tournament at 8-under par Clayton Lawson once again Alex savage from OKC sitting at 5-under par as well along with Cota and then we will have DK pros one and only rely back on the back in front of the camera always excited that OMA film Richard oh yeah yeah if you guys enjoyed make sure you hit that subscribe button and you can check
