what's up everybody we are back with our coverage of the West Texas experience my name is Gabriel Dao and I'm here with Bobby Cox what's up everyone we are out here at the greenbelt Lake disc golf course in Clarendon Texas it's a awesome course yeah wrong light yeah so far we've got everybody once again starting off pretty slow we got Addison Brandon and Emerson sitting at 1-under par and we got kota sitting at even so hopefully we can see a little bit better golf from these guys yeah we just they really seem like Park jobs a lot of a lot of 40 foot putts that were difficult to make yeah hole ten this is a par three you're really just throwing a flex shot through this gap here on the right there is also a big hyzer line as well which really only kota and emerson can throw it's it's a big foreign 50-foot hyzer but the flex shots definitely ideal and also as you noticed it wasn't a drone fly through we actually did the front nine of the drone footage between the first and second rounds on the first day and then decided to finish the drone footage the morning of the next day and we got there Sunday morning and there was a 50 mile an hour win and our drone pilot Kris just didn't feel comfortable flying in those conditions because sustainably we literally just rebuilt the drone yeah and didn't want to risk crashing it again no this cost money so yeah yeah so a little hiccup to make sure our future coverage is better yes so always trying to improve for you guys Kota this is looking real low from him you have the Flex shop I mean that's like definitely the plates it looks like a very difficult job that's right it's very touchy with all the woods on the left side yeah it's it's touchy that's a Codel we'll be able to make par from there Addison that is the risk of ending up on that left side it's just jail over there these tall grass trees little branches in your way it's not fun there we go ran in with a good par save but he will stay at 1-under par Emerson with the money birdie big hyzer shot yeah that's yeah play I can do actually that was actually a dollar bet between between I think Everson Dakota maybe one of the other guys so I've correct me if I'm wrong in the comments I was one of those guys but uh yeah so Kota you're there was laying won himself a little dollar there was like okay let's see who can park it with the big Heiser yeah okay yeah they dared him to and he did it perfectly hole 11 this is a par 3 it is a super-short hole as 157 feet uphill absolute musket for these guys it is tricky though because there is drop-off all around the basket so you really want to hit right underneath the basket just like Emerson's done there and you see many rollaways in this hole especially didn't because there is a lot of like bushes in the tall grass around the basket so you really don't see that too much but it definitely can't happen we got our lefty Addison that's early release is the max right there that is sawed off he's gonna be down the hill on the right side there that's gonna be a difficult putt code a perfect shot yeah just keeping a load kind of getting out of the wind you got Edison from about 25 30 feet down the hill Wow oh yeah that was such an uphill putt holy cow fantastic putt from Addison there that will move him to 2-under par all smiles from oh yeah coda tapping out the birdie there I'm sure out of his hand on that Drive he was just like well I can't believe I just missed this hole yeah no bright Emerson moving to 3-under par leading the pack now Brandon with the birdie as well we got our first star frame ladies and gentlemen I'm pretty pumped about it yeah pretty pumped and very surprised I'm proud yeah hole 12 this is a par-3 233 feet this one is the opposite of the last hole really it's very very downhill you're really just throwing what Emerson has right here just an overstable midrange or fairway driver you can throw a forehand like he is or it there is the hyzer line as well but I was actually just about to mention you got to be careful of going along because there's a drop-off back there as well so it was that Oh beaut but back there it is not there's just like a little trail yeah okay yeah and Brandon's gonna be well short and that is a very scary putt that is not the ideal position Addison just something super stay complete spike hyzer there yeah that thing was coming down into straight dark though I'm kind of surprised Emerson didn't go with the the backing Heiser honestly I mean I know he's never really good at both but yeah I mean justice yeah well I mean throws a backhand ooh yeah yeah yeah we got Brandon from what about 60 maybe yeah just a little bit too low he's Emerson from down the hill and not quite enough gas on that one he'll be tapping in for three I mean you gotta expect that to go in he's already hot with the uphill putt it's why not and that will tie him with Emerson for the lead coda with a birdie as well he's moving to 2-under par this is crazy it's like everyone's making the putts and that front nine nobody was making but her height just a complete 180 yeah Brandon with the par there hole 13 this is a par 3 it is 267 feet it's really just a hyzer the basket stucked on this little it's kind of an island there is a huge drop-off behind the basket you really have to be careful if going long on this one if anything you want to be short and that's that is very easy to do yeah that is why you can't go long on this hole because you're literally putting into a wall yeah it's no look at the basket you pretty much just have to throw it up there and pray it goes in and it looks like it's gonna be a headband putt too so I'm not gonna be fun either no color with a nice shot never sinned so I'm the harp out there on a hyzer thought thought thought so hard I was gonna say hard but wouldn't it wasn't totally sure and that took a massive skip and he's gonna be down he's gonna be beaching it beating it with Addison lookin like a nice shot from Brandon oh yeah gets a nice little skip there and he's gonna be about pin-high 25 left or 25 right actually this is Emerson's attempt oh he can't believe it that literally just rode the hit every part of the bass yeah it like rode the chain down yeah it is Addison oh-ho finding the band some good runs down the hippy seriously the beach does good things for these guys yes so get some a little bit more relaxed you know oh yeah solid putt there bekata go with a nice birdie always the gentleman yeah fixing the chains for his opponents I think he was explaining like where his putt missed okay I take all that back then yeah Brandon with the par kota with the lone birdie and he is now tied they lead with Addison and Emerson hole 14 this is a par 3 it's 230 feet super easy hole you're really just throwing a overstable midrange or fairway driver on this left side have it skip up to the basket super easy shot really pretty pretty standard for iunch oh yeah Kota putting it right underneath the basket exactly what you want do you know what that disk is I'm guessing it's like a felon or something yeah I'm not sure I don't either Addison it's gonna be pretty short there yeah it's gonna be a tester putt this is looking nice from Emerson though oh yeah we'll backstop at the tree oh yeah there's like a straight left to right wind yeah here we got Brandon that's a good shot as well Addison the furthest out at about 35 feet oh yes four uphill putts in a row for him yeah at least he's staying consistent right yeah I wonder if he's playing those uphill putts playing on it from the tee but now it's good that's like some calming breath stuff yeah right I'm gonna get by this root on the left side from 475 right with a putter now that's some that's Simon right that is son right never soon good for the birdie looks like we got Addison taking the loan par all right hole 15 this is a par 3 it is 417 feet we have a jacket or something in the fairway is there anybody under there no no that's a blanket Blaine was telling me there was so you got always sewn under there yeah asking um real quick this hole is really just a hyzer it looks like a wide-open hyzer yeah you throw Heiser or kind of a shot playing on that right side flip up flat or you can throw Affleck shot it does play a little bit longer than 417 even though it is slightly downhill you know I don't know I didn't see too many players get there all weekend you never sitting with a nice shot I think it's because those guys are scared of overthrowing it probably because there is some rough behind the basket Brandon just not quite getting the flip up there you know I'm guessing Ison's going to try to ride these trees on the left yeah oh no that is cutting through the trees yeah he is going way over there that flipped over on him and that is not gonna be a fun spot wow that looks like tick City or yeah rattlesnake makes it exactly that's Larry's Addison actually should have a pretty easy up shot from there cuz he is pin-high and there is a little window there between the trees so you should be good for par from there do it alone let's go Kota nice little Huck face there just the meat of the chain that is an ideal spot to hit that was perfect great putt from Kota Addison from the jungle but I still got some work to do yeah he's got quite a bit of work to do actually that's about circles edge I'm so with a nice release there yeah right in the middle oh yeah he is now tied with Kota Gibson saving par that is well done he's like now it was a tough scramble there I think I've gotten cuts from some thorns and yeah struggling yeah it's like it took them a while to find addison space quebec sure it was it was tucked underneath some tall grass that's for sure hole 15a there is ten holes on this I'm pretty sure we set back nine in the beginning but it is a back ten this is a little bit longer version of hole 11 okay so you're just throwing a similar shot you can throw either a forehand or a little higher up to the basket you want to hit the crest of the hill because like hole 11 there is a drop-off all around the basket so you just want to spike into that hill no this needs to slow down and that's gone a little bit deep but that's alright I saw that pot - yeah Brandon planted a little bit safer there is a lot more drop-off on that left side so that is a smart play he's gonna have a long putt for his too though Addison looks like playing somewhere play there yeah they're not a mid-range doesn't want to get it carrying too far right and this is Cota from down the hill oh that was like the perfect height to go on yeah and just a little bit left side from Brandon I seem just a little bit too low and we're sin for the loan birdie and a little bit low as well so to Emerson like tell you if you place this course part of it or now sounds from Texas I don't think so cuz this is pretty far west so he's in Lubbock I think yeah mostly most of those guys this is probably still like a two and a half hour drive for those guys so you soak Lahoma or you can just kind of drive anywhere in the state and ya play you know basically like any week and you want right you gotta make like a full planned trip for Texas courses yeah it's an awesome the area though yeah it's uh we didn't camp but I think it'd be a lot of fun out there everybody had their fishing poles and oh yeah add some glow glow ace runs that is like it was a glow ace run round that at nine o'clock and they gave away stuff if you hit an ace it was super short holes so really fun but a whole sixteen this is a par three it's 285 feet very downhill it's pretty much just a standard Heiser there is a wall of dirt in front of the basket that you can play you are left with a pretty uphill putt from there though so we're seeing going a little bit deep and that's gonna be a little bit of a scary putt with that drop off behind the basket but he's not too far away about 25 feet and it's gonna be on that left side he'll have a long putt for his to Addison keeping it nice and wide man nothing is silver stable yeah he's gonna be at the bottom of that hill there it's like once it starts to go left it just like absolutely dumps yeah oh wow I guess it's crazy up here yeah it's super uphill oh just a little bit right from Kota great heights though death putt yeah Everson for the low and birdie on the card oh just a little bit inside yeah Emerson was not liking these baskets this weekend yeah understandably you know I mean you have to you have to put them a little bit harder cuz a lot channels there yeah yeah there's that web in the middle that kind of just pushes them out if you end up on the left or right side whether it's pro or AM side hole 17 this is at par three it is three hundred and eight feet it is super uphill there is a wall of dirt right in front of this basket as well you really just want to throw a bomb I'll get it and try and get up to the top of the crest of the hill even if you go deep you can lay up for your three but yeah but this place oh wow with a perfect shot that's it five feet away yeah I bet this probably plays like close to 400 feet right oh yeah absolutely it is a crush to get all the way up there go to put this on a nice line and just a little bit on that right side we're sitting getting the longest run up on a 315 foot hole yeah trying to flex it out there but he's gonna be on that right side as well pretty close to Kota and Brandon gonna flex one out there this looks like it's a little bit short and yeah he's gonna be right below that wall yeah I think I was trying to keep a little bit lower it kind of cut through the wind and almost like a little shortcut yeah oh okay I saw that tracking I was like that has to go in Wow yeah and that's actually a blind shot from where he was I was blind that was blind what that like the fact that he threw that like that that was insane oh no and that's why because you have a rolloff right behind the basket and you keep him down all the way down yeah he did oh my god oh no you're going with a similar that okay he sits down and this is Emerson this is the risk of running your putt if you're down there that is so tragic I guess in a nice bid but he's gonna be taking a bogey here so you're looking for par yep stay in that five down Edison with an absolute beauty of address yeah Park job and a stroke that he needs here going into the last hole he is now tied with coda and Emerson no you immerse is going for down right now oh yeah yeah he is taking a bogey here Brandon with the par part the 2.5 because that that definitely should have stayed in yeah crazy how that didn't stay and we were just talking about how you have to throw it hard towards these baskets with that and it's windy you know it's yeah all sorts of things gonna happen to right hole 18 this is a par 3 it's 335 feet downhill so like Aston is doing right here you're just throwing a big spike hyzer woo wow I almost ring that one up so I got a pretty strong headland by the looks of those flags yep and Kota got a little wind drop at the end there so it didn't quite get to finish with its stability Larry oh and Tommy right of the basket I love bummers and that's pretty well done from Brandon he's gonna be about 30 35 maybe yeah just outside the circle here's that heart and we're sin throwing a little harp downhill and this is looking pretty nice oh yeah he's gonna be about circles edge there we got kota for to hell yeah finish not finishing off the round with a birdie moving him to 6-under par for the round ever sin fin ashan off the bird with the birdie as well he's gonna finish at five and Addyson keeping pace with Kota yeah really nice pleasure all around yeah finishing at 6:00 down as well and then we got Brandon here tapping in the PAR he will finish at 3 under par so that is going to conclude the first round of the 2019 West Texas experience we got our leaders right here on our card Kota Hatfield and Addison Collins shooting the hot rounds of 6-under par we got Nick roten at 500 par as well as Dillon balance making his way back on the coverage so that will be our cart for next
