For the 44th time, the Kansas City Wide Open is here. One of the longest standing Elite Series events in the country is at Bad Rock Creek in Liberty, Missouri for the second time on the Discolf Pro Tour. We'll check in first with our current leader, Own Scoggins, putting for birdie at the seventh. And that's what Owens Goins does. She gets to three under. She's got a one-shot lead over Lisa Fus. Here is Lisa. She's knocking it down. So smooth. Second shot for Blomus. >> That looks like a pretty nice bounce >> and the green flag goes up. That's the best bounce you could possibly get on this one. That is fantastic. And that was going to be probably safe, but she was definitely going to leak into circle two. And that kind of putt, you almost see every player laying that one up. >> Take a look at your Barbasol close shave replay. And it's Skitters along the rock wall and she's inside the circle. Well done by Blumbers. >> Not the easiest shot with the wind up, especially with the sloped fairway that she was at. Kind of the shallow side of the landing zone. >> Scoggins for birdie. >> Yes. Got this one. >> Thank you. >> Her sixth birdie of the round. Aggressive line here from Missy. Wow. Got it. Pays off. >> You see all that out of bounds she had to clear to even get there. >> Just enough. >> She's going to have a lane to at least get up and down for par. Oh, Eveina. What a make. Go back over to the fourth for Ganon. That was clean. That was in the pocket. That's a beautiful line from Missy. >> Still plays disc golf all the time. Scoggin. >> Yes, that is nice. >> That's a beauty from Owen Scoggins. Roll back the Zuka replay. Wow. Cash is in from deep at the 16th for the birdie. Could be fantastic. And finds the last tree, but she's going to be inside the circle. >> And that's the missy line. Just a baby hiser flip to flat. Miss Ganon a chance to bounce back off the double bogey with a birdie. >> Yes. >> Back to even par for Missy Ganon. And it's been a roller coaster round so far. Feels good to be parked on that hole. High floor, low ceiling. Third shot for Scoggins at the 18th. It's got to go. That looks like it got just across on the good side and she will putt for a birdie. >> That was so smooth. >> 19% of players getting birdie so far at the seventh. Nice kick for Sarnan and she's inside the circle. >> Birdie putt for Blumus at the ninth to get within a shot of the lead. She just keeps making putts, folks. >> Got it. So Scoggins finishes up her day five under Cynthia Rickyotti putting for birdie >> and knocking it down to run the show in the booth and the debut of Kristen Lent in the broadcast booth >> on DGN. Henna parks it at the 10th. >> And it feels great to do that when the wind is picking up this much on that hole. >> Cavalina just got the birdie at 10. >> She'll have another putt for birdie at the 11th. >> Another birdie for Eveina. Hannah Blamus for the birdie. >> Yes. Three straight birdies and Henna's got a share of the lead. >> If you throw the mid average, you're going to get to a spot like this. You really have to put some juice on it, but not too much. >> Come on. >> Yes. >> Missy in for birdie. She's under par on the round. >> The reverse patent pending from Raven Klein here. >> Nice. >> Okay. What a shot. It is hard to have your weight going backwards and then push the disc the other direction. >> Touchy forehand approach from Salinan. These players are getting way down the fairway on this hole. Eveina for birdie >> and Eveina moves to five under and joins the leaders. Four birdies in the last five holes for Salin. OH, >> FINDS CHAINS, BUT it doesn't stick. >> What a shot from Silva Sarnon. >> Oh, the wind would have just blown up the chains throwing this disc into the basket. Oh my gosh. >> Take a look at the one shot replay. >> Just a hair long. >> Wow. Silva going up the center gap here >> and she's rewarded. So we go to the redesigned hole 13. >> And that's not a layup. Yeah, that's going to be for an eagle. Not an easy putt with that headwind. Tap in for Salin for the birdie. And that puts her into the solo lead at six under par as she has now birdied five of the last six. Klein inside but gets a nice kick and roll up into the edge of the bullseye. Hands into the forehand for her approach shot at the 14th. Perfect. >> Got to love not putting on this one. >> Beauty. Absolute beauty >> in for the birdie. Great get. >> Let's go back to the 15th plumbers. >> Keep going. Keep going. >> Well, that was outrageously fortunate for Henna. Henna birdie chance to get within one >> and another putt goes down for Henna Blumus. Welcome back Hanley on 15. >> And that's one way to play the sidearm over the water. A >> lot of things happen. >> Over the water shot. Gonna have to play to the front left of the teapad. Tough backhand. >> Hustle and it does off the base. >> The tiny sliver that you have to hit to hit the backhand there and slide up and hit the pin. That is such a specific line. Hannah's putting for a birdie. Blamus to tie the lead. >> Yes, Hannah matches Eveina at six under par. >> Shows you from the catch cam angle how uphill that T-shot is. >> Can Holland get up to the green? Yes, she can. Excellent execution. Par putt for Klein. >> Sticks it and a great day for Raven Klein. >> And I got to plug it one more time while we got Raven on camera. Go buy her coloring book. She's a great artist. >> So feature card will head to the tea of the 18th as we go out to the fairway. Alli Smith's fourth. Oh, >> what a throw in that would have been to finish the round. >> Take another look. Great shape and just off the cage. Here we go. Blamus for the birdie and return to sender. test the resolve here for Henna for par to take the outright lead into round two. And of course, >> this is what she has been doing on the green. >> Sarna is going to have the best chance for birdie. Bullseye. >> And Silva didn't bring her best stuff today and still was going to end up with a tap in to get to four down. And Silva can make this for a spot on the lead card. >> Silva. >> So Silva will join two other fins along with on Skogggins on tomorrow's lead card. Brian, some great shooting from the fins. >> It was a blast to watch. And I think Henna again continued on this trajectory of becoming a better putter. And I know we said 50% C1 that doesn't look good on paper. It's the quality of the putts that went in the basket that makes me as a watcher and a fan of Henna's feel better about the way she's playing. And I think she's feeling it. the same way too. >> Yeah, some of those circles edge misses are balanced out by going two for three from circle two. So, a lot of exciting disc golf ahead with for the weekend. >> Hi, I'm Eveino Salon and thank you for watching the Disc Golf Pro tour on YouTube.
